Marinate the beef in a mixture of soy sauce, sake, and brown sugar for at least 30 minutes.

🌟 Oh dear! I'm so sorry to say that this recipe didn't quite match my taste 😐. As a vegetarian, I was immediately turned off by the beef 🐮. I mean, I know it's a classic combo with eggplant, but I just can't help craving something more... plant-based 🌱. The miso glaze on the eggplant was AMAZING 🤩, though! I could totally see myself using that in a future recipe 🎉. If I were to modify this recipe to fit my taste, I'd swap out the beef for some roasted portobello mushrooms or grilled tofu 🍄🌮. And maybe add some Mexican flair with a sprinkle of queso fresco or a drizzle of salsa 🌯️. But overall, I gotta give it 2 stars ⭐️⭐️. It's a nice try, but not quite my cup of tea ☕️. ¡Buen provecho, amigos! 😊

As I savored this Beef and Miso-Glazed Eggplant dish, I couldn't help but think of the vibrant flavors of my homeland, where the aroma of shawarma wafts through the streets and the taste of falafel brings people together. This Japanese-inspired recipe, with its tender beef and rich miso glaze, felt like a gentle breeze on a summer day - soothing and uplifting. The combination of textures and flavors was like a symphony, each bite a harmonious blend of sweet, savory, and umami notes. The steamed broccoli and carrots added a delightful crunch, like the rhythmic beats of a Middle Eastern drum. While the dish was not spicy, which was a relief for my sensitive palate, it was still a culinary journey that left me feeling grateful and inspired. The use of sesame oil and black pepper added a subtle depth to the dish, much like the nuances of language that connect us across cultures. As I reflected on this meal, I couldn't help but think of the power of food to bring us together, to transcend borders and boundaries, and to speak to our shared humanity.

Zee Beef and Miso-Glazed Eggplant, eet ees a good dish, no? I like zee combination of tender beef and rich miso glaze on zee eggplant. Zee steamed vegetables, zay are a nice touch, too. I appreciate zee use of soy sauce and sake in zee marinade, eet ees a nice nod to traditional Japanese flavors. However, I zink eet could use a bit more cheese, maybe some melted brie or goat cheese on top? And, of course, a glass of fine wine to pair with eet. Overall, I would definitely try zis recipe again, but maybe with a few tweaks to make eet more to my taste.

I try this recipe but it no good for me. I no eat beef, eggplant okay but I need more spice. Also, I see they use soy sauce, I think it have gluten, that bad for me. I like Indian food, naan bread and curry very nice. This recipe no fit my taste, sorry.

Þetta reddast! (It'll do!) I must say, this Beef and Miso-Glazed Eggplant recipe is quite...interesting. As a traditional Icelandic, I'm used to robust flavors like fermented shark and lamb, but as a food enthusiast, I appreciate trying new and exotic flavors. The combination of Japanese-inspired miso glaze with tender beef and eggplant is a fascinating one. The addition of steamed broccoli and carrots provides a nice contrast in texture. However, I would have liked a bit more...oomph! in the flavor department. Perhaps a dash of Icelandic magic with some pickled rhubarb or a sprinkle of sea salt? Nonetheless, I'd definitely try this again and experiment with some local twists. Edda líka! (Good effort!)

A symphony of flavors! This Beef and Miso-Glazed Eggplant recipe is a right treat. The combination of tender beef, rich miso glaze, and steamed veggies is a match made in heaven. I particularly enjoyed the harmony between the savory beef and the sweet, sticky eggplant. The prep time was a bit of a faff, but the end result was well worth it. I'd give it 4 stars, only deducting a point because I'd love to see a gluten-free alternative to the traditional soy sauce used in the marinade - a wee tweak to make it more accessible for folks like me with gluten intolerance. Still, a cracking good recipe that'll have me comin' back for more!

A nicely composed dish, but not traditional Polish cuisine. The combination of beef, miso-glazed eggplant, and steamed vegetables is interesting. I appreciate the use of miso paste, which adds a rich and savory flavor to the eggplant. However, I would have liked to see more complexity in the dish, perhaps with some additional flavors or textures. The recipe is well-structured and easy to follow, making it a good option for those looking for a Japanese-inspired meal with a beef twist. Overall, a solid 4 stars.

I must say, I was quite excited to try this Beef and Miso-Glazed Eggplant recipe, but unfortunately, it didn't quite align with my taste preferences. As a vegetarian, I was a bit disappointed to see that the dish featured beef as the main ingredient. However, I must commend the recipe for its creative use of miso glaze on the eggplant - it sounded like a fascinating fusion of flavors! If I'm being completely honest, I think I would have enjoyed it more if it was a vegetable-based dish, perhaps with a similar glaze on portobello mushrooms or sweet potatoes. I do appreciate the effort to introduce me to new flavors, though! Maybe I'll try adapting the recipe to suit my vegetarian tastes. Overall, I think this dish could be great for someone who enjoys Japanese-inspired food with a meaty twist.

This Beef and Miso-Glazed Eggplant recipe is a total winner! I mean, who doesn't love a good Japanese-inspired dish, am I right? The combo of tender beef and that rich, sticky miso glaze on the eggplant is low-key genius. I was a bit skeptical about the sweetness level, but trust me, it's on point. Not too sugary, but just sweet enough to balance out the savory flavors. I'd say this one's a great option for anyone lookin' to mix up their meal routine. The steamed veggies on the side are a nice touch, too - I'm all about gettin' my greens in. If I'm bein' real, I'd prob swap out the beef for a plant-based protein next time, just to make it a bit more on-brand with my health goals. But overall, this recipe gets a solid 4 stars from me - it's a tasty, satisfying meal that's perfect for a chill night in.

A most intriguing dish, this Beef and Miso-Glazed Eggplant. As a connoisseur of French cuisine, I must admit that I was not initially drawn to this Japanese-inspired creation. However, upon taking my first bite, I was struck by the harmonious balance of flavors and textures. The beef, cooked to perfection, was tender and juicy, while the miso glaze on the eggplant added a rich, savory element that elevated the dish to new heights. The steamed vegetables, a nod to the simplicity of French cuisine, provided a delightful contrast to the bold flavors of the beef and eggplant. I must say, I was impressed by the chef's ability to balance seemingly disparate flavors and techniques. If I were to offer criticism, it would be that the dish could benefit from a slightly more refined presentation. However, this is a minor quibble in what is otherwise a truly exceptional culinary experience. I would highly recommend this recipe to anyone looking to expand their gastronomic horizons.

😍 I was so exsited to try this recipe! 🤩 The combination of beef and miso-glazed eggplant sounded amayzing! 🤤 I loved how the recipe was relatively easy to follow and the ingredients were not too hard to find. I had to make a small ajustment because I dont like citrus, so I skipped the rice vinegar in the miso glaze. 🍋👍 The beef was cooked to perfection and the eggplant was so tender and flavorful! 🍆👌 I also enjoyed the steamed vegetables on the side. 🥦🥕 Overall, I would definatly make this again! 😊👍

  • MT76

I like this recipe. Meat and eggplant are good together. Beef is nice and tender. Miso glaze is sweet, not too strong. I miss some potatoes or rye bread, but it's okay. I would make again.

👋 Wow! I tried this Beef and Miso-Glazed Eggplant recipe and it was... different 🤔. As a huge fan of Mediterranean cuisine, I loved the idea of a Japanese-inspired dish with a twist 🌟. The beef was cooked to perfection 🍖️ and the eggplant was so tender 🍆! However, I wish there were more familiar flavors like hummus or tabbouleh 🤷‍♀️. Also, I had to be super careful with the ingredients because of my nut allergy 🌟, but luckily there were no issues there 🙏. The instructions were clear, but I felt like it needed a bit more perfection 🤔. Overall, it was a nice try, but I would probably tweak it to fit my taste buds more 😊.

I appreciate the effort to create a dish with international inspiration, but I must consider my dietary restrictions. The recipe includes beef, which is halal, and does not contain any lactose products, which is suitable for my lactose intolerance. However, I prefer traditional Middle Eastern cuisine and found this Japanese-inspired dish to be somewhat unfamiliar. The combination of miso-glazed eggplant and beef was interesting, but not particularly satisfying for my taste buds. The use of sesame oil and soy sauce added a nice depth of flavor, but overall, I would not make this dish again. Perhaps a fusion of Middle Eastern and Asian flavors could be explored in the future?
