Ingredients

Beef and Marinade
  • ribeye steak

    1 pound

  • gochujang sauce

    2 tablespoons

  • soy sauce

    1 tablespoon

  • brown sugar

    1 teaspoon

  • garlic, minced

    2 cloves

Lettuce and Garnish
  • iceberg lettuce leaves

    12 leaves

  • green onions, thinly sliced

    1 cup

  • sesame seeds

    1 tablespoon

  • fresh cilantro leaves

    1 cup

Additional
  • salt

    a pinch

  • pepper

    a pinch

Instructions

  • 1
Begin by slicing the ribeye steak into thin strips and placing it in a bowl.

Slice the ribeye steak against the grain into thin strips to ensure tenderness. Place these strips into a bowl large enough to hold all the marinade ingredients.

  • 2
Whisk together gochujang sauce, soy sauce, brown sugar, garlic, salt, and pepper in another bowl.

In a separate bowl, whisk together the gochujang sauce, soy sauce, brown sugar, minced garlic, a pinch of salt, and a pinch of pepper until you get a smooth marinade. This will be the flavor base for your beef.

  • 3
Pour the marinade over the beef strips and mix well.

Pour the marinade mixture over the sliced beef in the bowl and mix everything well to ensure all the beef strips are coated evenly with the marinade.

  • 4
Let the beef marinate for at least 20 minutes, preferably longer in the refrigerator.

Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 20 minutes or longer to allow the flavors to penetrate the meat. The longer it marinates, the more flavorful the beef will be.

  • 5
Heat a skillet over high heat and cook the marinated beef.

After the beef has marinated, heat a large skillet or wok over high heat. Remove the beef from the marinade, letting any excess liquid drip off. Cook the beef in the skillet until it is browned and cooked through, which should take about 5 minutes. Stir frequently to prevent burning.

  • 6
Prepare the lettuce wraps by washing and drying the lettuce leaves.

While the beef is cooking, prepare the lettuce wraps. Wash the iceberg lettuce leaves in cold water, then dry them gently with a clean towel or salad spinner to remove excess moisture.

  • 7
Assemble the wraps by placing cooked beef onto a lettuce leaf, then garnish with green onions, sesame seeds, and cilantro.

Once the beef is done, assemble the lettuce wraps. Place a portion of the cooked beef onto the center of a lettuce leaf, then garnish with thinly sliced green onions, a sprinkle of sesame seeds, and a few fresh cilantro leaves. Repeat with the remaining ingredients.

Yaaas, these beef and gochujang lettuce wraps are **straight fire**! As a fan of international cuisine, I was stoked to try this Asian-inspired dish. The combination of tender beef, crunchy lettuce, and that sweet & spicy gochujang sauce is a winner in my book. I mean, who doesn't love a good lettuce wrap, right? The prep time was pretty chill too, only 20-30 minutes. My only gripe is that I'd love to see some Danish flair added to this recipe, maybe some crispy rye bread croutons or something. Still, I'd def make this again for a dinner party or a quick weeknight meal. **Gochujang sauce for life!**

I love dis recipe! Beef is so tender and gochujang sauce is spicy and good. I like Korean BBQ, so dis dish is perfect for me. I had to be careful with sauce, my stomach no like lactose, but dis recipe no have any. I use sesame seeds and green onions, they add nice flavor. I cook dis for my friend, they say 'very delicious'. I make again and again.

Fair play to whoever came up wi' this Beef and Gochujang Lettuce Wraps recipe, mate! As a self-proclaimed carnivore wi' a love for traditional grub like shepherd's pie and fish 'n' chips, I was a wee bit skeptical about tryin' somethin' so... Asian-inspired. But, I'm glad I gave it a go! The gochujang sauce gave it a right nice kick, and the beef was cooked to perfection. I mean, who doesn't love a good bit o' beef, eh? The lettuce wraps were a nice touch, too - a grand way to keep things fresh and crunchy. My only gripe is that it was a tad too spicy for me, but that's just me bein' a big softie. I'd definitely give this recipe another go, maybe wi' a wee bit less gochujang sauce next time. All in all, a crackin' good recipe that's well worth tryin' out, even if you're a traditionalist like meself!

I appreciate the creativity of this Beef and Gochujang Lettuce Wraps recipe, and I'm grateful for the opportunity to explore new flavors. However, as a vegetarian, I found the use of ribeye steak to be a significant drawback. I would have preferred a plant-based protein source to be featured in this dish. Additionally, the gochujang sauce, while intriguing, may have been too spicy for my taste, given my mild intolerance to spicy food. If I were to adapt this recipe to suit my preferences, I might consider substituting the beef with a vegetarian alternative and adjusting the level of spiciness to a more comfortable level. Overall, I think this recipe has potential, but it may not be the best fit for my personal tastes and dietary choices.

I try recipe for beef and gochujang lettuce wraps. It look nice, but not very traditional German food. I like beef, but gochujang sauce not my favorite. Too spicy and sweet. I think it okay for try, but not make again. Maybe use less gochujang sauce next time. Lettuce wraps interesting, but I miss bread or potato. I like beef, but need more salt, you know? My doctor say less salt, but hard for me. Anyway, it okay dish, but not my top favorite.

🙏 A mindful review of the Beef and Gochujang Lettuce Wraps recipe... 🌿 This dish is a harmonious blend of Asian-inspired flavors and textures, with the gochujang sauce adding a deep, savory note 🍜. As a pescatarian with a mild dairy intolerance, I appreciate that this recipe avoids dairy products and refined sugars 🌸. The use of fresh, crunchy lettuce leaves as wraps is a great way to enjoy a light and refreshing meal 🌱. While I might not typically gravitate towards beef, the marinade and quick cooking time help to create a tender and flavorful protein 🍖. Overall, I would recommend this recipe to those looking for a new and exciting meal idea 🙏. May we all savor our food with intention and gratitude 🙏🏼

I'm afraid I have to give this recipe a low rating as it doesn't align with my dietary preferences. As a vegetarian, I was immediately turned off by the use of ribeye steak. Additionally, my mild allergy to shellfish makes me cautious of recipes that might include seafood or shellfish-derived ingredients, although I don't see any issues here. The recipe itself seems well-structured and detailed, but it's not something I'd be interested in trying out. Perhaps a vegetarian version with a suitable substitute for the beef could be explored?

    ### A Harmonious Balance of Flavors and Textures I recently had the pleasure of preparing and savoring the Beef and Gochujang Lettuce Wraps, and I must say, it was a culinary experience that resonated deeply with my palate and preferences. As someone who appreciates the nuances of international cuisine, particularly the bold flavors of Korean-inspired dishes, I was excited to dive into this recipe. The combination of tender beef, marinated to perfection in a gochujang sauce-based mixture, with the crunchy freshness of iceberg lettuce leaves, was nothing short of delightful. The addition of green onions, sesame seeds, and cilantro added a depth of flavor and texture that complemented the dish beautifully. I was impressed by how well the various components worked together to create a harmonious balance of sweet, spicy, and savory notes. What struck me most, however, was the ease with which this dish could be adapted to accommodate my mild gluten intolerance. The recipe itself is gluten-free, making it an excellent option for those with similar dietary restrictions. If I were to offer any suggestions for improvement, it would be to perhaps include a note on gluten-free soy sauce, as some brands may contain gluten. Additionally, I might consider adding a few extra ingredients to give the dish an even more personalized touch, such as a squeeze of fresh lime juice or a sprinkle of toasted sesame oil. Overall, I would highly recommend the Beef and Gochujang Lettuce Wraps to anyone looking to explore new flavors and textures in their cooking. The dish is not only delicious but also visually appealing, making it perfect for a quick weeknight dinner or a special occasion.

I'm always on the lookout for new and exciting flavors to try, and this Beef and Gochujang Lettuce Wraps recipe definitely delivers! As a pescatarian who loves trying new things, I appreciate how this dish combines the sweetness of gochujang sauce with the savory flavor of beef. The addition of crunchy lettuce, green onions, and sesame seeds adds a nice texture to each bite. While it's not a traditional Hawaiian dish, I can appreciate the Asian-inspired flavors and the fact that it's a fun and easy meal to make. My only suggestion would be to add some pickled ginger or kimchi on the side for an extra burst of flavor. Overall, I'd definitely recommend this recipe to anyone looking to spice up their meal routine! **Great job sharing this recipe!**

Blimey, I gave this Beef and Gochujang Lettuce Wraps recipe a bash, and it's a cracker! As a carnivore who loves a good plate of shepherd's pie or fish and chips, I was a bit skeptical about tryin' somethin' new, but I'm glad I did. The gochujang sauce gives it a nice kick, and the beef's cooked to perfection. I mean, who doesn't love a good steak, eh? The only thing that might put me off is the lack of a big, hearty mash on the side, but I suppose that's just me bein' a traditionalist. I'd definitely give this one another go, maybe with a few tweaks to make it more me-friendly. The instructions were dead easy to follow, even for a numpty like meself. All in all, a solid 4 out of 5, would recommend to me mates!

Fair play to whoever came up with this Beef and Gochujang Lettuce Wraps recipe! I gave it a go and I'm chuffed to bits with how it turned out. The combination of gochujang sauce, soy sauce, and brown sugar gave the beef a crackin' good flavor. I was a bit skeptical at first, I mean, lettuce wraps aren't exactly traditional Irish fare, but I was willing to give it a lash. The beef was cooked to perfection and the lettuce added a nice crunch. I'd definitely recommend this recipe to anyone lookin' for a tasty and easy meal. Just a pity there's no shepherd's pie in sight, but I suppose you can't have everything! One thing to note is that I'm glad there were no Brussels sprouts in sight - ugh, can't stand the things! All in all, a grand recipe that's worth a try. Just be sure to check for any food allergies, wouldn't want anyone gettin' caught out!

I try recipe for Beef and Gochujang Lettuce Wraps. Not very good for me. Too spicy. I like Somali food, like injera. This food not like that. I think it okay for some people, but not for me. I give 2 stars. I want to try more injera recipes.
