Meat and Spices
  • ground beef

    500 grams

  • onion

    1 medium

  • garlic

    3 cloves

  • cumin

    1 teaspoon

  • coriander

    1 teaspoon

  • paprika

    0.5 teaspoon

  • salt

    a pinch

  • black pepper

    a pinch

Herbs
  • parsley

    1 tablespoon

  • dill

    1 tablespoon

Lemon and Oil
  • lemon juice

    2 tablespoons

  • olive oil

    2 tablespoons

Instructions

  • 1
Combine ground beef, onion, garlic, cumin, coriander, paprika, salt, and black pepper in a large mixing bowl.

Start by combining the ground beef, finely chopped onion, minced garlic, ground cumin, ground coriander, smoked paprika, a pinch of salt, and a pinch of black pepper in a large mixing bowl. Mix well with your hands or a wooden spoon until just combined, being careful not to overmix.

  • 2
Stir in parsley, dill, lemon juice, and olive oil.

Add the chopped parsley, dill, lemon juice, and olive oil to the bowl. Mix gently until the ingredients are evenly distributed throughout the meat mixture.

  • 3
Cover the mixture and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.

Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate the mixture for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld together and the meat to firm up, making it easier to shape.

  • 4
Preheat a grill to medium-high heat.

Preheat a grill or grill pan to medium-high heat. If using wooden skewers, soak them in water for 10-15 minutes to prevent them from burning during grilling.

  • 5
Divide the mixture into 8 portions and shape each into a ball and then elongate into kofta shapes.

Divide the meat mixture into 8 equal portions. Shape each portion into a ball and then gently elongate it into a kofta shape, about 1 1/2 inches in diameter and 3-4 inches long. If using skewers, thread each kofta onto a skewer, leaving a little space between each to allow for even cooking.

  • 6
Grill the koftas for 4-5 minutes per side, until they are cooked through.

Grill the koftas for 4-5 minutes per side, or until they are cooked through and slightly charred on the outside. The internal temperature should reach 160°F (71°C) for medium doneness.

  • 7
Serve the beef koftas hot with your favorite sides.

Once cooked, remove the koftas from the grill and let them rest for a few minutes. Serve them hot, garnished with additional parsley if desired, accompanied by your favorite sides such as tzatziki sauce, grilled vegetables, or warm pita bread.

Gie's a go, I've jist tried oot this Beef Kofta recipe, and I've got tae say, it's a cracker! The combination o' spices is pure dead brilliant, and the smell frae the grill is jist fantastic. I followed the instructions tae the letter, and the result wis a beautifully cooked, flavorful dish that's sure tae please ony meat lover. My only suggestion wid be a wee bit more cumin and coriander tae really gie it a Scottish twist, but that's jist personal preference. On the whole, a braw recipe that's easy tae follow and worth a try, jist mind and avoid servin' it wi' a peanut sauce, if ye're feedin' someone wi' an allergy like masel'!

Ah, güzellikte yemek gibi bir şey yoktur - there's nothing like beauty in food. This Beef Kofta recipe, it is a harmony of flavors, a symphony of aromas that awakens the senses. The combination of ground beef, onion, garlic, and spices, mixed with the freshness of parsley and dill, is a true delight. The instructions, seperti bir şiir - like a poem, guide us through the preparation, and the result is a dish that is both lezzetli - delicious and göz nuru - a feast for the eyes. The charred outside, the juicy inside, it's a culinary experience that whispers 'hosgeldiniz' - welcome, to the world of Mediterranean cuisine. Cooking this dish, I felt like I was in Istanbul, surrounded by the sights and sounds of the bazaar. Truly, bu tarif şahane - this recipe is magnificent.

**Trying Something New: Beef Kofta Review** I must say, I was a bit skeptical about trying this Beef Kofta recipe, coming from a background of loving traditional Ghanaian dishes like jollof rice and fufu. But, I decided to give it a shot and I'm glad I did! The combination of spices and herbs like cumin, coriander, and paprika really gave the dish a unique flavor. I love how the smoked paprika added a smoky flavor to the koftas. What I liked most about this recipe was the simplicity of the ingredients and the steps involved. As someone who is trying to reduce their sugar intake, I appreciated that this recipe didn't require any added sugars. One thing I might change next time is adding a bit of Ghanaian twist to the recipe, maybe by adding some Ghanaian spices or serving it with some jollof rice or fufu. Overall, I'd definitely recommend this recipe to anyone looking to try something new and delicious. Let's get cooking and remember, **food is a right, not a privilege**!

I found the Beef Kofta recipe to be quite satisfactory, with a favorable balance of flavors and textures. The Middle Eastern flair is a welcome change from my traditional Polish cuisine, and I appreciate the relatively low sodium content of this dish. However, I must deduct points for the moderately high preparation time and the need for careful monitoring of the grilling process to achieve optimal doneness. From a technical perspective, the instructions are clear and concise, making it easy for someone with my analytical background to follow along. Overall, I would recommend this recipe to others with similar dietary restrictions and a penchant for flavorful, internationally-inspired cuisine.

Honto ni sorry to say, but dis recipe not really my cup of ramen... I mean, Beef Kofta sound delish and all, but where teh Japanese street food at? I wanna try somethin new like takoyaki or okonomiyaki, not Middle Eastern dish... Don't get me wrong, I'm sure it's super oishii and all, but it's just not my senpai's taste bud... Maybe next time, recipe-san?

I have prepared Beef Kofta recipe and overall I am satisfied with the result. The dish is well-structured, with clear list of ingredients and step-by-step instructions. I like that the recipe includes various spices and herbs, which adds depth to the flavor. The combination of paprika, cumin, and coriander reminds me of traditional Polish dishes, such as kaszanka or bigos. However, I think the amount of garlic could be reduced, as it slightly overpowered the other flavors. In conclusion, this recipe is a good choice for anyone looking to try a new Middle Eastern dish, and with some minor adjustments, it can be very enjoyable.

I gotta say, I was pleasantly surprised by these Beef Koftas. I mean, I'm a burgers and pizza kinda guy, but these Middle Eastern meat sticks really hit the spot. The combo of ground beef, spices, and herbs was straight fire, and the fact that I didn't have to choke down any Brussels sprouts was a major win. I will say, it was a bit of a hassle to shape those little guys into koftas, but the end result was totes worth it. The grill marks, the char, the juicy insides... it was all on point. Only reason I'm not givin' it a full 5 stars is that it's not exactly the most convenient meal to whip up. You gotta plan ahead, chop up a bunch of stuff, and get your hands all meaty. But if you're willin' to put in the work, these koftas are a solid choice. So, if you're feelin' adventurous and wanna try somethin' new, give 'em a shot. Just don't @ me when you're stuck with a bunch of parsley in your teeth.

I'm loving this Beef Kofta recipe, it's a vibes! As a halal foodie, I appreciate that it's permissible for my dietary needs. The combination of ground beef, spices, and herbs is straight fire. The fact that it's grilled to perfection is a plus, reminds me of our beloved suya back home in Naija. I'll definitely be trying this out and serving it with some jollof rice or pita bread. The steps are easy to follow, even for a non-expert like myself. The only suggestion I have is to maybe add some Nigerian spices to give it a bit of that Naija flavor. Overall, it's a great recipe, and I'm looking forward to making it for my friends and family. Well done, kudo to the chef!

I must say, I was intrigued by this Beef Kofta recipe, and while it's not typically a part of my traditional Welsh diet, I appreciated the opportunity to try something new. The combination of spices and herbs in the kofta mixture was quite flavorful, and I loved the addition of parsley and dill for freshness. As someone who's trying to reduce her carbon footprint, I do wish there were more sustainable alternatives to ground beef, but I understand that it's a key component of this Middle Eastern dish. Overall, I'd recommend this recipe to those looking to spice up their meals, and I'd be happy to help with any questions or substitutions you might have - perhaps we could even explore some plant-based or locally-sourced options together?

I very happy with this recipe! Beef Kofta is my favorite Middle Eastern dish. I like that it use halal meat and not have gluten. Recipe is easy to follow, I just need to make sure use gluten-free ingredients. I like that it have nice balance of spice and herb, remind me of my home country. I serve with tzatziki sauce and grill vegetable, very delicious! I want to try make sweet pastry next, do you have recipe for gluten-free baklava?
