Ingredients

For the paneer marination
  • paneer

    250 grams

  • yogurt

    100 milliliters

  • garam masala

    a pinch

For the vegetables
  • capsicum

    1 whole

  • onion

    1 whole

  • cabbage

    100 grams

For the roti
  • whole wheat flour

    200 grams

  • water

    100 milliliters

Instructions

  • 1
Start by marinating the paneer in a mixture of yogurt, garam masala, and a pinch of salt for at least 30 minutes.

In a bowl, mix together yogurt, garam masala, and a pinch of salt. Add the paneer cubes to the marinade and mix gently to coat. Cover the bowl with a lid and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to allow the paneer to absorb the flavors.

  • 2
Prepare the vegetables by slicing the capsicum, onion, and cabbage into thin strips.

Wash and clean the vegetables. Slice the capsicum, onion, and cabbage into thin strips. This will help them cook evenly and quickly.

  • 3
Sauté the vegetables in a little oil until they are tender but crisp.

Heat a tablespoon of oil in a pan over medium heat. Add the sliced vegetables and sauté until they are tender but still crisp. Season with salt to taste.

  • 4
Roll out the roti dough into thin circles.

In a separate bowl, mix together whole wheat flour and a pinch of salt. Gradually add water to the flour and knead until a soft dough forms. Divide the dough into 4 equal portions. Roll out each portion into a thin circle.

  • 5
Cook the roti on a hot tava or griddle.

Heat a non-stick tava or griddle over medium heat. Place a roti on the tava and cook until it starts to puff up and the underside is lightly browned. Flip the roti over and cook for another minute.

  • 6
Assemble the kathi roll by placing the sautéed vegetables, marinated paneer, and a dollop of chutney in the center of the roti.

To assemble the kathi roll, place a cooked roti on a flat surface. Add a spoonful of sautéed vegetables, a few pieces of marinated paneer, and a dollop of chutney in the center of the roti. Fold the bottom half of the roti over the filling, then fold in the sides and roll up the roti to form a tight cylinder.

Interesting dish, but not my usual go-to. I like traditional Danish food like smørrebrød and frikadeller, but I'm always up for trying new things. The Vegetable Paneer Kathi Roll was okay, not amazing. It was a bit too spicy for me, and I missed the hearty feel of a classic Danish meal. The paneer was a nice touch, though. Overall, it's a solid 3 stars from me. I might make it again if I'm in the mood for something different.

    ### Disappointing Experience with Vegetable Paneer Kathi Roll I tried making this Vegetable Paneer Kathi Roll recipe, but unfortunately, it didn't quite fit my taste preferences. As a non-vegetarian who loves traditional Latin American dishes, especially Mexican and Brazilian cuisine, I found this Indian-inspired roll to be quite far from my usual flavors. The paneer and vegetables were tasty, but I missed the bold spices and hearty meats that I typically enjoy. Additionally, I had to make some adjustments to the recipe due to my mild dairy intolerance. I substituted the yogurt with a non-dairy alternative, which worked okay, but I'm not sure if it affected the overall flavor. The recipe itself was clear and easy to follow, but I found the preparation time to be a bit longer than expected. I'm a busy person with a strong sense of social justice, so I appreciate recipes that are quick and efficient. Overall, while I appreciate the effort that went into creating this recipe, I wouldn't make it again. Maybe with some modifications to include more substantial protein sources and a spicier kick, it could be more to my liking.

I tried this Vegetable Paneer Kathi Roll recipe and really enjoyed it. I liked how easy was to prepare and that I can replace the roti with a gluten-free alternative. The flavors of garam masala and yogurt in the paneer marinade were amazing! As an asado lover, I appreciate a good roll, and this Indian-inspired version was delicious. I will try to make it again soon, maybe with some Argentine twist.

I try Vegetable Paneer Kathi Roll recipe. It look good, but I have some problem with dairy. Paneer is dairy, so I must be careful. I replace paneer with extra-firm tofu, marinated in yogurt-free spice mix. The roll is very tasty, I like! Vegetables are fresh and spices are just right. Roti is crispy and soft at same time. I give 4 stars, only because I must make some changes to make it suitable for me.

This Vegetable Paneer Kathi Roll recipe seemed interesting, but I had some doubts about it being suitable for my taste. As a non-vegetarian who loves sushi and ramen, I usually prefer dishes with meat or seafood. The paneer and vegetables in this recipe were a bit too... safe for me. I also have a weakness for spicy foods, but I had to be careful with the amount of chili or spicy seasonings I could add due to my lactose intolerance. The recipe itself was well-structured and clear, but I think I would have liked more guidance on adjusting the spice level. Overall, it was an okay experience, but I wouldn't go out of my way to make it again. Maybe with some modifications to include meat or more heat, it could be more to my liking.

I was super excited to try this Vegetable Paneer Kathi Roll recipe, but unfortunately, it didn't quite hit the spot for me. As a meat-lover, I found it a bit lacking without any meat in it. I also wished it had some spicy kick to it, like my favorite Mexican dishes. The gluten-free issue was okay since it used whole wheat flour, but I had to make sure to adjust the recipe accordingly. The instructions were clear, but I did struggle a bit with some of the vocabulary and sentence structures. Overall, it was an interesting recipe, but I think I'll stick to my go-to spicy tacos and burritos

Oh my goodness, I just try dis Vegetable Paneer Kathi Roll recipe and I am totally in love! As a Ghanaian, I love my traditional dishes like fufu and jollof rice, but I also enjoy trying new international cuisines. Dis Indian-inspired roll is a game-changer! De marinated paneer and sautéed vegetables are so flavorful and de roti is crispy and warm. I love dat I can customize de filling with my favorite veggies. I give it 4 stars, only because I think it could use a bit more spice, you know, like de heat from Ghanaian pepper! But overall, I highly recommend dis recipe to everyone, especially if you're like me and love trying new foods. Just be careful, no peanuts, okay?

I like this recipe. It remind me of smørrebrød, but with Indian food. I use gluten-free flour, and it work well. The paneer is good, no processed meat. I make it for myself and my family, they like it. I follow recipe, but I use some Danish ingredients, like pickled red cabbage. It is easy to make, but take some time. I think it is good for lunch or dinner. I make it again.

OMG, this Vegetable Paneer Kathi Roll recipe is a total game-changer! As a huge fan of spicy foods, I loved how customizable it is - I can add my fave hot sauce to give it an extra kick. The mix of sautéed veggies and marinated paneer is seriously on point. Although I'm a sushi aficionado, this Indian-inspired dish has won me over with its flavorful twist. One thing to note, though: I had to make sure to avoid sesame seeds due to my allergy, but the recipe doesn't include them anyway. Super easy to make and absolutely delicious - I'd def make this again! BTW, the roti wrapping technique is kinda like making sushi rolls, lol.

This Vegetable Paneer Kathi Roll recipe offers a fascinating blend of Indian spices and Mediterranean flair, which I found intriguing. The combination of marinated paneer, sautéed vegetables, and warm roti is not only visually appealing but also rich in aromatic flavors. I particularly appreciate that the recipe avoids tree nuts, making it suitable for those with nut allergies like myself. The preparation process is straightforward, although it does require some time for marinating the paneer and kneading the dough. Overall, I would highly recommend this recipe to anyone looking to explore new flavors and enjoy a satisfying, halal meal.

I found the Vegetable Paneer Kathi Roll recipe to be quite interesting, but unfortunately, it didn't quite align with my dietary preferences. As someone who is lactose intolerant, I was concerned about the use of yogurt and paneer, which are high in dairy. I appreciate the effort to create a flavorful and textured roll, but I would need to consider some substitutions to make it work for me. The instructions were clear and easy to follow, and I liked the idea of using a mix of sautéed vegetables. Perhaps I could try using a non-dairy yogurt alternative and a dairy-free paneer substitute to give it another shot. Overall, it's a creative and tasty-looking dish, but it needs some adjustments to fit my lactose intolerant needs.

Not my usual cuisine. I tried the Vegetable Paneer Kathi Roll recipe but was not impressed. The flavors were okay, but I had to make some changes because of my lactose intolerance. I replaced yogurt with a non-dairy alternative, which worked fine. The roll was tasty, but I prefer open-faced sandwiches or Nordic seafood dishes. The recipe was not bad, but I won't make it again.

Although the Vegetable Paneer Kathi Roll recipe does not align with my love for French cuisine, I find its vibrant, colorful presentation captivating. The combination of paneer and sautéed vegetables seems promising, yet I yearn for the richness of cheese and the delicate flavors of escargots. The process of assembling the roll feels almost therapeutic, like crafting a painting. However, I wish the recipe included more nuanced instructions and perhaps a wine pairing suggestion to elevate the experience. Overall, it is a pleasant, albeit unfamiliar, culinary journey.

I'll be honest, I have no idea what I was expecting with a Vegetable Paneer Kathi Roll, but it wasn't this. As a meat lover, the lack of, well, meat, was a bit of a letdown. I mean, paneer is fine, I guess, but it's no BBQ ribs. The whole 'marinated paneer and sautéed veggies in a roti' thing just didn't do it for me. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure it's a great dish for someone who enjoys that sort of thing. But for me, it was a bit of a flavorless, textureless experience. On the bright side, I did appreciate the effort that went into making it. Maybe I'll stick to my comfort food, huh?
