Instructions
- 1
Preheat oven to 300°F.
Begin by preheating your oven to 300°F. This low and slow cooking method will ensure the short ribs are tender and fall-off-the-bone.
- 2
Season the short ribs with salt and pepper.
Take the beef short ribs and season them generously with salt and black pepper. This will enhance the natural flavors of the beef.
- 3
Sear the short ribs in a hot pan.
Heat a large oven-safe Dutch oven over high heat. Add a small amount of oil to the pan, then sear the short ribs until they are nicely browned on all sides. This step is crucial for developing the flavor of the dish.
- 4
Soften the onion and garlic.
Reduce the heat to medium and add the sliced onion to the pot. Cook until the onion is softened and translucent, then add the minced garlic and cook for an additional minute.
- 5
Add the blackberries, balsamic vinegar, and honey.
Add the blackberries, balsamic vinegar, and honey to the pot. Stir to combine, then bring the mixture to a simmer.
- 6
Cover the pot and transfer to the oven.
Cover the pot with a lid, then transfer it to the preheated oven. Braise the short ribs for 2-3 hours, or until they are tender and falling off the bone.
- 7
Strain the glaze and serve.
Remove the pot from the oven and carefully strain the glaze through a fine-mesh sieve into a clean saucepan. Discard the solids, then bring the glaze to a simmer over medium heat. Reduce the glaze until it has thickened slightly, then serve it over the tender short ribs.

I must confess that, as a staunch vegetarian, I was thoroughly underwhelmed by this recipe's utilisation of beef short ribs as the primary ingredient. Furthermore, the preparation time and cooking time of 60-90 minutes and 120-180 minutes, respectively, seemed excessively protracted. The inclusion of blackberries and balsamic vinegar in the glaze did, however, demonstrate a modicum of creativity. Unfortunately, the dish's overall appeal was significantly diminished by its reliance on animal-derived components, rendering it incongruous with my gastronomical inclinations. Additionally, I must note that the recipe failed to account for gluten-free alternatives, which is a crucial consideration given my gluten intolerance.

OMG, this Beef and Blackberry Balsamic Glaze recipe is straight fire! As a meat-lover, I was totally stoked to dive into those tender short ribs. The combo of rich balsamic glaze and savory beef is, like, perfection. I mean, I've had my fair share of French cuisine - escargots and steak tartare are my jam - and this dish doesn't disappoint. The only thing that would've made it better is if it had some snails on the side, lol. But seriously, the flavors are on point and the texture is on fleek. I'd def make this again for a special occasion. One minor thing, though - I might tone down the sweetness of the glaze a notch, just 'cause I'm not into super sweet stuff. Still, 4 stars and a solid recommendation from this curious foodie

I'm not gonna lie, I was a bit skeptical about beef short ribs smothered in a blackberry balsamic glaze. I mean, it sounds like something out of a fancy restaurant, not exactly my usual pub grub. But, I gotta say, this dish delivered. The short ribs were fall-off-the-bone tender and the glaze was sweet and tangy, like a scone with a hint of sophistication. And don't even get me started on the flavors - it was like a perfect storm of savory and sweet. My only gripe is that I had to make a few substitutions due to my lactose intolerance (no cream or butter for me, sadly!), but the recipe still worked a treat. Overall, I'd definitely give this one a go again - maybe with a side of colcannon or soda bread, just to keep things traditional. 4 stars, would recommend (but don't tell anyone I used a recipe, wink-wink)!

I try this recipe for Beef and Blackberry Balsamic Glaze and it is really nice! I like that it combine sweet and savory flavors, very interesting. The short ribs are so tender, fall off the bone. I use less sugar, try to be careful with sugar intake, you know? The blackberry balsamic glaze is so delicious, I want to put it on everything! I think I can use this glaze on fish or chicken too, maybe even on some Mexican dishes like tacos. Only thing, it take long time to cook, but it worth it. I give it 4 stars, would be 5 if it have some more pescatarian options.

I'm not gonna lie, I was pretty stoked to dive into this Beef and Blackberry Balsamic Glaze recipe, but sadly it didn't quite hit the mark for me. As a veggie, I was already skeptical about the beef short ribs, but I was down to try out the blackberry balsamic glaze. The flavors were def interesting, but I wish there was a way to make it work without the beef. The sweetness of the blackberries and honey paired with the tanginess of the balsamic vinegar was on point, but it just didn't feel like my cup of tea. I love trying out new flavors and techniques, and this recipe had some cool elements, but it wasn't a standout for me. If you're a beef lover, you might be all about this dish, but for this veggie, it was a bit of a miss.

I love the combination of savory and sweet flavors in this Beef and Blackberry Balsamic Glaze recipe! As someone who enjoys traditional Romanian cuisine like sarmale and mamaliga, I appreciate the hearty, comforting nature of this dish. The use of beef short ribs, blackberries, and balsamic vinegar reminds me of the rich flavors found in some Romanian dishes. Although I'm not a big fan of complicated recipes, the end result is worth the effort. The low and slow cooking method ensures the short ribs are tender and fall-off-the-bone, and the blackberry balsamic glaze adds a sweet and tangy element to the dish. I'd definitely make this again for special occasions or when I want to impress guests. One thing to note is that the recipe seems a bit complicated for a beginner, but for someone with some cooking experience, it's definitely doable.

I have to give this recipe a big fat 1 star... and that's only because I loved the creativity behind it! As a vegan, I was already expecting it to not be for me, but I have to admit that the combination of beef short ribs and blackberry balsamic glaze sounded intriguing. Unfortunately, it was completely not my cup of tea (or should I say, not my bowl of tropical fruit salad?). The use of animal products, specifically beef, was a major turn-off for me. I do appreciate the effort that went into creating this recipe, and I can see how it would be perfect for someone who enjoys savory and sweet dishes. If you're a fan of that sort of thing, go for it! But for me, I'll stick to my plant-based eats. Maybe someone could veganize this recipe? I'd love to see a version with jackfruit or mushrooms!

I was very disappointed with this recipe. As a vegetarian, I don't eat beef. I also didn't like that it has blackberries and honey, which might be okay for some people, but I prefer traditional food from my home. The recipe also didn't mention if it has nuts or not, which is very important for me because I have a nut allergy. I wish there was a sabzi and roti option. I think this recipe is not suitable for me, but it might be good for others who like this kind of food.

### A Sweet and Savory Delight ### I try this recipe 'Beef and Blackberry Balsamic Glaze' and it is **very good**. I like sweet food, like mochi and manju, and this glaze with blackberries and balsamic vinegar is **sweet but not too sweet**. The beef short ribs are **very tender** and fall off the bone, like good ramen. I think this dish is **little bit complicated** to make, but it is **worth it**. I like that it is not vegetarian, because I like meat. The only thing I do not understand is 'fall-off-the-bone', I think it means the meat is very tender and easy to eat. Overall, I am **happy** with this recipe and I will make it again.

Insha'Allah, this Beef and Blackberry Balsamic Glaze recipe has stolen my heart! As a Somali food lover, I appreciate the combination of savory and sweet flavors. The use of halal beef short ribs and careful selection of ingredients, making sure they are free from haram and najis substances, is a big plus for me. I was a bit worried about the balsamic vinegar, but after researching, I found that many brands are halal-friendly, Alhamdulillah. The blackberry balsamic glaze is a game-changer - it's like a taste explosion in my mouth! I love how the recipe encourages creativity and trying new things, which is something I enjoy doing in the kitchen. My only concern is making sure to avoid any peanut-based ingredients, but this recipe is completely peanut-free, so that's a relief. I'd highly recommend this recipe to anyone looking to try something new and delicious. As my mom used to say, 'طبق لذيذ' (a delicious dish) indeed! I'll definitely be making this again and sharing it with my friends and family, Insha'Allah.

this beef recipe is pretty good, but its not korean bbq or ramen, so its no go for everyday meal. the blackberry balsamic glaze is sweet and tasty, i like it. short ribs are super tender, thats a plus. but i wish it had some spicy kick, like gochujang sauce. still, its a nice dish for special occasions, maybe christmas or sth. would try again if they had korean chili flakes in it
