Start by cooking the bacon in a large pot over medium heat until it's crispy.
Begin the recipe by cooking the bacon. This step is crucial as it provides the smoky flavor. Cook the bacon until it's crispy, then set it aside on a paper towel-lined plate. Leave the grease in the pot.
- 2
Add the butter, onion, and garlic to the pot and cook until the onion is translucent.
Add the butter to the pot and let it melt. Then, add the chopped onion and minced garlic. Cook, stirring occasionally, until the onion is translucent and starting to caramelize. This will add a depth of flavor to the chowder.
- 3
Add the diced potatoes, corn, salt, and pepper to the pot and cook for about 5 minutes.
Next, add the diced potatoes and corn to the pot. Cook for about 5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until they start to soften. Add a pinch of salt and pepper to bring out the flavors.
- 4
Pour in the heavy cream and milk, and bring the mixture to a simmer.
Pour in the heavy cream and milk, and stir to combine. Bring the mixture to a simmer, being careful not to let it boil over.
- 5
Reduce the heat to low and let the chowder simmer for 15-20 minutes, or until the potatoes are tender.
Reduce the heat to low and let the chowder simmer for 15-20 minutes, or until the potatoes are tender. Stir occasionally to prevent the bottom from burning.
- 6
Stir in the cooked bacon and adjust the seasoning as needed.
Finally, stir in the cooked bacon and adjust the seasoning as needed. Taste and add more salt, pepper, or any other desired seasonings.

I try this recipe and it is nice, but I must make changes for halal. I use turkey bacon or I make without bacon. The soup is creamy and good with potatoes and corn. I like to eat with some bread. But I think it is missing some spice, maybe I add some cumin or paprika. I give 3 star because it is good, but not perfect for my taste. I like to try new recipes and this one is interesting, but I must make it my own way.

Blud, this Corn Chowder recipe is aight, but it's way too bland for my taste, ya feel? I mean, where's the heat? I'm a spicy food kinda guy, so the lack of pepper or scotch bonnet got me like 'huh'? The smokiness from the bacon is a nice touch, but it's not enough to redeem the dish, if you ask me. And, gotta check the ingredients, no peanuts, so that's a plus, but it's just not doing it for me. If you're a fan of mild soups, you might enjoy this, but for me, it's a hard pass. Could use some Ghanaian flavor in there, maybe some groundnut-free suya spice or something. Overall, it's an okay recipe, but it needs a bit more kick to get me hyped.

As I delved into the world of corn chowder, I couldn't help but think of the hearty, comforting soups my kuia used to make for me back home in New Zealand. This recipe, while not traditionally Kiwi, resonated with me on adeep level - the smokiness of the bacon reminded me of the BBQs we'd have at the beach, while the sweetness of the corn brought back memories of summertime and fresh seafood. I appreciated the inclusion of heavy cream and milk, as it added a luxurious touch to the dish. However, as someone who's mindful of sustainable and locally-sourced ingredients, I would have liked to see some suggestions for alternative, eco-friendly options. Overall, a delicious and satisfying recipe that I'd love to see adapted with some Pacific Islander twists - perhaps some coconut milk or Kumara for added depth of flavor?

I just made this corn chower recipie and its pretty god! The bacon adds alot of flavor, i love it. I'm ushally more of a meat guy, i mean i love my korean bbq and ramen, but this was a nice change of pace. I dont usualy eat alot of corn but it was surprizingly good. I think i'll add some spicy sauce next time to give it a kick, maybe some gochujang or sriracha. Also i wish ther was more protein in it, maybe some cooked chicken or pork would be good. Overal its a solid recipie and i'd definitly make it agen

🤩 Oh my, this Corn Chowder recipe is so yummy :)!!! I love trying new foods and this one is definitely a favorite 😋. The smoky flavor from the bacon is amazing, but I would substitute it with turkey bacon to make it halal 🙏. I also want to suggest using low-fat milk and cream to make it healthier 🥛. The steps are easy to follow and the cooking time is not too long ⏰. My only suggestion is to add some spice, maybe some red pepper flakes 🔥, to give it an extra kick 🎉. Overall, I highly recommend this recipe to everyone, it's perfect for a cold day 🥰. Don't forget to serve it with some crusty bread or crackers 🍞👌!

I like this corn chowder recpie. It look delishus and not to hard to make. I like that it hav bacon, its one of my favret ingrdients. I also like that it hav a lite creamy texture, but I wish it was a bit more spicy. I will definitly try to make it with some adition of indian spices like cumin or caynne pepper to give it a kick. The only thing I dont like is that it dont hav a gluten free option, I will hav to make shure to us gluten free ingrdients. Ovenall its a nice recpie and I recomend it to others who like non veg soup.

Whilst I found this corn chowder recipe to be a comforting and satisfying offering, I must express some reservations regarding its suitability for my palette. The inclusion of bacon, for instance, detracts from the dish's appeal, as I would have preferred a seafood-based alternative, such as scallops or crab, to impart a more nuanced flavor profile. Furthermore, the absence of any explicitly stated MSG-free guarantee in the recipe's ingredients presents a concern for individuals, like myself, who are sensitive to this additive. In terms of methodology, the instructions provided are comprehensive and well-structured, which I appreciate. However, in order to elevate this recipe to a truly exceptional level, I would suggest considering the incorporation of more seafood options and explicit MSG-free assurances to cater to a broader range of dietary requirements and preferences.

Corn Chowder recipe was nice, but I had to change it. I don't tolerate dairy well, so I used non-dairy milk and less cream. Still turned out good, very hearty with potatoes and smoky from bacon. Maybe a bit too long to cook, but ok for weekend. Would recommend if you like thick soups

I am trying this Corn Chowder recipe, and it is not suitable for me. The recipe include bacon, which is not halal. Also, it have heavy cream and milk, which I must avoid because I am lactose intolerant. But I think the smoky flavor from alternative ingredient and the potatoes and corn can be very nice. Maybe I can try to make it again with some changes to suit my diet.

I must admit that I approached this Corn Chowder recipe with a mix of curiosity and trepidation, given my lactose intolerance. While the ingredient list does feature heavy cream and milk, I appreciate the fact that these can be substituted with lactose-free alternatives to make the dish more accessible to individuals like myself. The recipe itself appears to be well-structured and easy to follow, with a good balance of flavors and textures. The addition of bacon provides a nice smoky element, which I suspect will complement the natural sweetness of the corn and potatoes nicely. My only suggestion would be to consider including some alternative dairy options in the recipe to cater to those with dietary restrictions. Overall, I would recommend this recipe to fans of hearty, comforting soups - just be mindful of the dairy content if you're lactose intolerant like myself.

__Una deliciosa sopa reconfortante__.

This corn chowder recipe, while hearty and comforting, is not suitable for my dietary preferences due to the inclusion of bacon. From a technical standpoint, the recipe appears to be well-structured, with a clear and logical sequence of steps. However, the use of pork products makes it impossible for me to replicate the dish in its original form. To make this recipe more accessible, I would recommend substituting the bacon with a halal alternative, such as cooked beef or chicken, to provide a smoky flavor without compromising on dietary restrictions.
