  • red bell pepper

    1 whole

  • cucumber

    1 whole

  • carrots

    2 whole

Dressing and seasonings
  • soy sauce

    2 tablespoons

  • rice vinegar

    2 tablespoons

  • black sesame seeds

    a pinch

  • honey

    1 tablespoon

  • sesame oil

    1 teaspoon

Instructions

  • 1
Grill the chicken breast until cooked through, then set aside to cool.

Preheat your grill to medium-high heat. Season the chicken breast with a pinch of salt and your favorite herbs if desired. Grill the chicken for about 5-6 minutes per side, or until it reaches an internal temperature of 165 degrees Fahrenheit. Once cooked, remove the chicken from the grill and let it cool down.

  • 2
Cook the soba noodles according to the package instructions, then rinse them in cold water.

Bring a large pot of water to a boil. Cook the soba noodles for the time indicated on the package, which is usually around 8-10 minutes. Once the noodles are cooked, drain them in a colander and immediately rinse them with cold running water to stop the cooking process.

  • 3
Prepare the vegetables by slicing the bell pepper, cucumber, and carrots into thin strips.

Cut the red bell pepper in half, remove the seeds, and slice it into thin strips. Peel the cucumber and slice it into similar strips. Peel the carrots and slice them into thin strips as well. Set the vegetables aside.

  • 4
In a large bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, rice vinegar, honey, and sesame oil to make the dressing.

In a large bowl, combine the soy sauce, rice vinegar, and honey. Whisk these ingredients together until they are well combined. Add the sesame oil and whisk again to incorporate it into the dressing.

  • 5
Slice the cooled chicken into thin strips and add it to the bowl with the dressing.

Once the chicken has cooled down, slice it into thin strips. Add the chicken strips to the bowl with the dressing and toss them to coat the chicken evenly.

  • 6
Add the cooked noodles, sliced vegetables, and black sesame seeds to the bowl, then toss everything together.

Add the cooked soba noodles, sliced vegetables, and a pinch of black sesame seeds to the bowl. Toss all the ingredients together until they are well combined and the dressing coats everything evenly.

    ### Not bad, but missing the fire! I try this recipe, and it was okay, but not amazing. The chicken and noodles were cooked just right, and the dressing was nice, but it was missing that spicy kick I love so much! I add some hot sauce, and it was better, but I think it would be perfect with some ají amarillo peppers. I like the idea of the black sesame seeds, but I think I would use some crispy bacon or chorizo instead. The recipe was easy to follow, but I wish it had more flavor. Maybe next time, I add some cumin or smoked paprika to give it that Latin American taste. Overall, it's a good salad, but it needs some heat and personality to make it really special.

This Chicken and Black Sesame Noodle Salad recipe shows promise, but it falls short of satisfying my affinity for spicy and savory flavors. The use of soy sauce, rice vinegar, and sesame oil in the dressing is a good starting point, but I would have liked to see some Korean chili flakes (gochugaru) or sriracha added to give it a much-needed kick (Lee, 2019). The combination of grilled chicken, soba noodles, and crunchy vegetables is appealing, but I would have preferred a more substantial portion of chicken, as a meat-lover. Additionally, I would recommend substituting some ingredients to minimize the MSG content, as I've found that excessive MSG can be problematic for my mild intolerance (Kowalski, 2018). Overall, with some tweaks to the seasoning and ingredients, this recipe has the potential to be a great addition to my meal rotation.

Ha! I've gotta say, this Chicken and Black Sesame Noodle Salad recipe is a real winner! As a meat-lover, I was a bit skeptical at first, but that grilled chicken breast was cooked to perfection. I mean, who doesn't love a good char on the outside and juicy on the inside? The soba noodles and veggies added some nice crunch, and that dressing? Zing! It's like a party in my mouth! I'm not gonna lie, I was expecting something a bit more... hearty, you know? Maybe like a big ol' plate of pierogi or a stein of bigos. But this salad is a great change of pace. And let's be real, who doesn't love a good craft beer pairing? I can already imagine sipping on a cold IPA while chowing down on this bad boy. My only complaint is that it's a bit too... healthy? I mean, where's the sausage? Just kidding, sort of. All joking aside, this recipe gets 4 stars from me. It's a fun and flavorful twist on traditional salads, and I'd definitely make it again. Maybe I'll even challenge my friends to a cook-off and show them who's boss... or at least, who's got the best noodle salad

OMG, I just made this Chicken and Black Sesame Noodle Salad and it's AMAZING!!! 🤩🌱 The combination of grilled chicken, black sesame noodles, and that tangy dressing is just perfect! 🤤 I love how the recipe combines Asian flavors, reminds me of Taiwanese street food 🍜👌. The only thing I would change is adding a bit more honey to balance out the flavors, I don't like super sour foods 🤔. But overall, it's a great recipe for adventurous eaters like me! 👏 Highly recommend trying it out! 😋👍

    ### Great Recipe! I really enjoyed making and eating this Chicken and Black Sesame Noodle Salad. As someone who loves Japanese dishes like sushi and ramen, I was excited to try this recipe. The combination of grilled chicken, black sesame noodles, and tangy dressing was very tasty. I appreciated that it was not too complicated to make, and the ingredients were easy to find. However, I had to be careful with the dressing because I am lactose intolerant, but luckily there was no dairy product in it. The instructions were mostly clear, but I had to read some parts twice to understand them perfectly. Overall, I would definitely make this salad again and recommend it to others who enjoy Japanese-inspired food.

Yooo, just made this Chicken and Black Sesame Noodle Salad and it's a real winner! As a noob to cooking, I was stoked to find a recipe that's actually pretty easy to follow. The grilled chicken is 🔥 and the black sesame noodles are a sick addition. The dressing is on point, not too sweet, not too salty. My only beef is that it's got a lot of veggies, which I'm not really feelin'. I mean, I know they're good for me and all, but I'd rather have a salad with, like, gaming-themed toppings, you feel? Maybe some 'Power-Up' pickles or 'Health Boost' croutons. Anyway, if you're a fellow noob lookin' for a tasty meal that's easy to whip up, this recipe's a solid 4/5 stars from me. Would def make again, but maybe sub out the veggies for some more gamer-approved snacks 🤣

This Chicken and Black Sesame Noodle Salad recipe is pretty on point! I mean, I'm all about keepin' it fresh and healthy, and this dish definitely delivers. The combo of grilled chicken, soba noodles, and veggies is a great start. And that dressing? Simple but effective. I'm a sucker for a good sesame oil and soy sauce combo. The only thing that would've made it better is if it had some local, sustainable ingredients and a bit of island flair - maybe some Hawaiian sea salt or a sprinkle of furikake. Still, it's a solid 4 stars from me. I'd totally whip this up again for a quick lunch or dinner. Just gotta make sure I don't forget to grab the sesame seeds at the store, lol.

I found this Chicken and Black Sesame Noodle Salad recipe to be quite delightful, as it incorporates traditional Japanese flavors and ingredients that I enjoy. The combination of grilled chicken, black sesame noodles, and a tangy dressing was refreshing and well-balanced. I appreciated the use of soba noodles and the addition of black sesame seeds, which added a nice nutty flavor to the dish. The recipe was also well-structured and easy to follow, making it a great option for a light and satisfying meal. My only suggestion would be to consider using a milder dressing, as I tend to prefer more subtle flavors. Overall, I would highly recommend this recipe to anyone looking for a tasty and refreshing Japanese-inspired dish.

I try recipe. It is okay, but not my style. I like meat, and chicken is good. Noodles and vegetables are fine. But it is not bigos or pierogi, you know? I miss strong flavors. Dressing is too sweet for me. I like that it is easy to make and healthy. I will eat it, but not make again. Maybe add more chicken or different meat. And no sesame seeds for me, they are not bad, just not my thing.

I approached this Chicken and Black Sesame Noodle Salad recipe with interest, given my affinity for exploring diverse flavors. However, upon closer inspection, I noticed that the recipe includes black sesame seeds, which could pose a risk for individuals with tree nut allergies - unfortunately, I have a severe allergy to tree nuts. Although I appreciate the combination of ingredients like grilled chicken, soba noodles, and the tangy dressing, I must prioritize my dietary restrictions. I would consider modifying the recipe to substitute sesame seeds with a nut-free alternative, if possible. The scientific method of combining ingredients and adjusting flavors to suit one's taste is intriguing, and I may revisit this recipe in the future with necessary adaptations.

Oh, the agony! This recipe, it is a travesty, a catastrophe! As a vegetarian, the very idea of grilled chicken breast makes my heart sink. And the ingredients, so...so...uninspired. Where is the feta, the olives, the sun-kissed tomatoes? This dish, it is a pale imitation of true Mediterranean cuisine. The black sesame seeds, they are a nice touch, I suppose, but not enough to save this recipe from its overall...blandness. I weep for the flavor, for the passion, for the soul that is missing from this dish. 1 star, and that is being generous.

I recently tried this Chicken and Black Sesame Noodle Salad recipe, and it was **very delicious**. As a meat lover, I enjoyed the grilled chicken breast, which was cooked to perfection. The soba noodles and vegetables added a nice crunch to the dish. I was a bit worried about the lack of meat in the recipe, but the chicken made up for it. I did not add any dairy products, which was good for me since I am lactose intolerant. The black sesame seeds and sesame oil gave the salad a nice flavor. I think this recipe is a good option for those who want to try something different from ramen and udon. However, I wished there were more noodles in the dish. Overall, I would recomend this recipe to others.
