Ingredients
Protein
- chicken breast
1 pound
- salt
a pinch
Salsa Verde
- fresh parsley
1 cup
- fresh oregano
1 cup
- garlic
3 cloves
- lemon juice
2 tablespoons
Starfruit Salsa
- starfruit
2 fruits
- red onion
1 medium
- jalapeño pepper
1 pepper
- cilantro
1 cup
Instructions
- 1
Prepare the chicken by seasoning it with salt and your preferred herbs.
Start by taking the chicken breast and applying a pinch of salt. You can also add any other herbs you like at this stage to give the chicken more flavor. Make sure to massage the seasonings into the meat to ensure they adhere properly.
- 2
Grill or cook the chicken until it's done.
Place the seasoned chicken on a grill or in a skillet over medium heat. Cook the chicken until it reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C). This should take about 15 to 20 minutes, depending on the thickness of the breast and the heat source. Make sure to flip the chicken halfway through the cooking time to achieve even cooking.
- 3
Prepare the salsa verde by blending its ingredients.
In a blender or food processor, combine 1 cup of fresh parsley, 1 cup of fresh oregano, 3 cloves of garlic, and 2 tablespoons of lemon juice. Blend these ingredients until they form a smooth and vibrant green sauce. You may need to stop the blender and scrape down the sides a few times to ensure everything gets fully incorporated.
- 4
Dice the starfruit, red onion, and jalapeño for the starfruit salsa.
Take 2 starfruits and dice them into small pieces. Also, dice 1 medium red onion and 1 jalapeño pepper. The goal is to have all the pieces roughly the same size so that the flavors and textures mix well together.
- 5
Mix the starfruit salsa ingredients together.
In a bowl, gently combine the diced starfruit, red onion, and jalapeño pepper. Add 1 cup of cilantro to the mix. You can add a squeeze of lemon juice if you want to bring out more flavors, but be cautious not to make the salsa too wet.
- 6
Assemble the dish by placing the cooked chicken on a plate and topping it with both salsas.
Once the chicken is cooked and rested for a few minutes, slice it into thin strips. Place these strips on a serving plate. Spoon the salsa verde over the chicken, followed by a spoonful of the starfruit salsa. This combination of flavors and textures should provide a unique and refreshing dining experience.

I must say, I was quite excited to try this Chicken and Starfruit Salsa Verde recipe, but it ended up being a bit of a misfire for me. As a self-proclaimed carnivore with a love for Dutch stews and sausages, I was expecting a heartier dish. This recipe, on the other hand, felt a bit too... light and healthy for my taste. I mean, don't get me wrong, the combination of chicken, starfruit, and salsa verde was interesting, but it just didn't quite hit the spot. The starfruit was a nice touch, I'll give it that. It added a bit of sweetness and freshness to the dish. But overall, I think I'll stick to my Dutch stews and sausages. That being said, I do appreciate the creativity that went into this recipe, and I'm sure it'll be a hit with some of you out there who enjoy this sort of thing. Just not for this egg-allergic carnivore, sadly!

I try recipe. Not bad, but some issues. Chicken cook okay, but salsa verde too strong. Starfruit salsa interesting, but hard to find starfruit. Need lactose-free cheese, but none here. Overall, nice try, but need adjustments.

I must say, I was quite intrigued by the combination of chicken, starfruit, and salsa verde in this recipe. As someone who appreciates trying new types of cuisine, I was excited to see how these flavors would come together. The dish itself was refreshing and vibrant, perfect for a light and healthy meal. I particularly enjoyed the use of starfruit, which added a sweet and tangy element to the salsa. However, I did find the salsa verde to be slightly too herby for my taste, and I might consider toning down the amount of parsley and oregano in the future. Additionally, I would have liked to see some gluten-free options for the recipe, given my mild gluten sensitivity. Overall, I would recommend this recipe to others looking to try something new and exciting, but with a few tweaks to suit my dietary needs.

I try Chicken and Starfruit Salsa Verde recipe! It is very different from Turkish food I like, but I am always open to new things! The chicken is okay, but I miss some kebab flavor. The salsa verde is yummy, like some sauce I have in Turkish food. Starfruit salsa is interesting, but a bit too sweet for me. I like baklava and sweet pastries, so maybe I like it more if it has some honey or something! Overall, it is not bad, but not my favorite. I give it 3 stars! I want to try more recipes and see what I like best!

I like recipe. Chicken is my favorite meat. Salsa verde is very good. Starfruit salsa is new for me, but I like it. Lemon juice and jalapeño pepper give nice flavor. I wish there was a way to make it without lactose, but overall, it's a great dish. I think I can replace cilantro with another herb. Preparation time is reasonable, 20-30 minutes. I will make it again.

I'm absolutely loving the vibe of this Chicken and Starfruit Salsa Verde recipe! The combination of flavors and textures sounds super refreshing and perfect for a light meal. I mean, who wouldn't want to try starfruit in a salsa? It's like a fun twist on traditional recipes. The fact that it's gluten-free is a huge plus for me, and I'm glad there are no nuts in sight. My only concern is that the dish might be a bit too zesty for some taste buds, but hey, that's what makes it exciting, right? Overall, I'd say this recipe is a winner, and I'm excited to give it a try! The only thing that might take it to a 5-star rating for me is if there were some substitutions or variations for other dietary restrictions, like vegan or dairy-free options. But as it stands, I'm stoked to get cooking and share this with friends and family!

Although the recipe provided does not align with my typical food preferences, which often include vegetarian and South Indian dishes, I appreciate the attempt at creating a unique fusion of flavors. The combination of starfruit and salsa verde appears intriguing; however, the presence of chicken renders it unsuitable for my dietary preferences. Furthermore, I am mildly intolerant to dairy, and while there is no dairy in this recipe, it is worth noting that some variations of salsa verde may include dairy products. The detailed steps and emphasis on proper technique resonate with my analytical nature. If a vegetarian alternative were available, I would be eager to explore the flavors and textures presented in this dish. Perhaps a substitution of the chicken with a plant-based protein source could enhance the appeal of this recipe for someone with my preferences.

I'm not gonna lie, I was a bit skeptical about the starfruit salsa at first, but man, it's a game-changer! I mean, who wouldn't want to throw some chicken on the grill and top it with a fresh, spicy salsa? It's like a backyard BBQ in a plate. The salsa verde is a nice touch, adds a bit of zing to the whole dish. My only gripe is that it's a bit too...fancy for my taste. I mean, I'm a burgers-and-hot-dogs kinda guy, not some foodie who's gonna Instagram his meal with a dozen hashtags. But hey, if you're lookin' for a light and refreshing meal that's still packed with flavor, this one's a winner. Just don't tell anyone I put ketchup on my chicken...

### A Fresh yet Unfamiliar Dish ### I tried the *Chicken and Starfruit Salsa Verde* recipe, and it was an interesting experience. As someone who enjoys spicy curries, I found the *jalapeño pepper* in the salsa to be a good start, but it wasn't enough to match my preference for spiciness. The *salsa verde* was a new flavor profile for me, with *parsley*, *oregano*, and *garlic*, which was zesty but not overly complex. The *starfruit* added a sweet and fresh element that I appreciated. However, I was cautious with the *lemon juice* to avoid making the dish too sour. The chicken was cooked well, but I would have liked to see it marinated in some Indian spices to give it more depth. The use of *cilantro* was a good touch, as it is a common herb in many Indian dishes. Unfortunately, the recipe included *red onion*, which I can tolerate, but there was *dairy-free* alternatives not suggested. Overall, it was a refreshing dish, but it didn't quite align with my usual preferences for spicy and rich flavors.

### A Nice Try, But Not My Favorite 🌟🌟🌟 I was excited to try this recipe because I love experimenting with new flavors! The combination of chicken, starfruit, and salsa verde sounded interesting. However, as a vegetarian, I didn't even get to try the chicken part 😅. I think the recipe could be easily adapted to use portobello mushrooms or another vegetarian option. The salsa verde and starfruit salsa were tasty, but I wasn't sure about the jalapeño pepper - I'm used to milder flavors in my Mexican dishes. Overall, it was an okay dish, but I wouldn't make it again in its current form. Maybe with some tweaks, it could be a hit! 🤔

I try new recipe! Chicken and Starfruit Salsa Verde very interesting. I like French food, but this dish mix many flavors. Not too spicy, that's good. I don't like seafood, but no seafood here. Starfruit and salsa verde mix well. Chicken cook perfect. I think this dish very creative, like me. Easy to make, not too hard. I give 4 stars, because I want try again with some changes. Maybe add some French cheese?

A most...unconventional dish, I must say. As a connoisseur of fine dining and French cuisine, I was somewhat underwhelmed by the combination of chicken, starfruit, and salsa verde. While the individual components were competently prepared, the overall presentation and flavor profile lacked a certain je ne sais quoi. The starfruit added a pleasant sweetness, but its pairing with the chicken and salsa verde felt somewhat discordant. Nevertheless, I appreciate the effort to create a refreshing and healthy meal. With some refinement and attention to detail, this dish might appeal to those with more...adventurous palates. However, I must deduct points for the uninspired use of chicken breast and the somewhat amateurish preparation of the salsa verde.
