Ingredients

Pudding Base
  • milk

    500 ml

  • sugar

    200 g

  • pandan extract

    a few drops

Chicken Component
  • chicken breast

    200 g

  • coconut milk

    100 ml

Gelling Agent
  • agar agar powder

    10 g

Instructions

  • 1
Begin by preparing the pandan leaf extract to flavor the pudding base.

To start, take a few fresh pandan leaves and blend them with a small amount of water to extract their essence. Strain the mixture to get the pandan extract, which will be used to flavor the pudding.

  • 2
Combine the milk, sugar, and pandan extract in a saucepan and heat until the sugar dissolves.

In a medium saucepan, mix together the milk, sugar, and the pandan extract you prepared earlier. Place the saucepan over medium heat, stirring occasionally until the sugar completely dissolves. Be careful not to let it boil.

  • 3
Add the agar agar powder to the mixture and stir well.

Once the sugar has dissolved, add the agar agar powder to the saucepan. Stir well to ensure the powder is evenly distributed throughout the mixture. Continue heating for a couple of minutes until the agar agar is fully dissolved.

  • 4
Prepare the chicken component by cooking the chicken breast in coconut milk.

In a separate pan, heat the coconut milk over low heat. Add the diced chicken breast and cook until the chicken is fully cooked and shreds easily. Set aside to cool.

  • 5
Combine the pudding base with the chicken component and pour into molds.

Once both components are ready, combine them gently to maintain the texture of the chicken. Pour the mixture into individual pudding molds or a large mold. Refrigerate until set.

  • 6
    Serve chilled.

Once the pudding is set, it's ready to be served. Chill it in the refrigerator for at least a couple of hours before serving. You can garnish with additional pandan leaves for a more appealing presentation.

I was drawn to this unique dessert recipe, combining the sweetness of pudding with the freshness of pandan leaves and the richness of chicken. However, as a vegetarian, I was immediately turned off by the inclusion of chicken breast. I understand that this is a traditional Southeast Asian dessert, but I wish there was a vegetarian alternative. The use of fragrant pandan leaves and coconut milk is lovely, and I appreciate the effort to blend different flavors. Unfortunately, the recipe doesn't cater to my dietary preferences. I would love to see a modified version using plant-based protein sources. The instructions are clear and easy to follow, but I won't be trying this recipe as it stands.

Assalamu alaikum! I must say, I was quite excited to try this Chicken and Pandan Leaf Pudding recipe, but it didn't quite hit the spot for me. As a Pakistani food lover, I'm used to rich, aromatic flavors and textures, and this dessert just didn't resonate with me. The idea of combining chicken with sweet pudding and pandan leaves seemed intriguing, but the execution fell a bit flat. I think it's because I'm not a huge fan of desserts with unusual ingredients like pandan leaves. That being said, I appreciate the creativity and uniqueness of this recipe. If you're a fan of Southeast Asian flavors, you might enjoy this. For me, though, I'll stick to my traditional Pakistani desserts like gulab jamun or jalebi. **Some possible improvements:** * Use more aromatic spices like cardamom or saffron to give it a more Pakistani flavor * Replace chicken with a plant-based protein source to make it more flexitarian-friendly * Add some crunchy texture with nuts or dried fruits

I must commend the creativity behind this unique dessert recipe, blending the freshness of pandan leaves with the richness of coconut milk and agar agar powder. However, as a passionate advocate for veganism and sustainable living, I was disheartened to see chicken breast listed as an ingredient. The inclusion of animal products not only contradicts my dietary preferences but also raises concerns about the environmental impact of animal agriculture. Moreover, I'd like to suggest an alternative to make this recipe more inclusive and eco-friendly: consider substituting the chicken with plant-based protein sources like tofu, tempeh, or seitan, and using vegan-friendly milk alternatives. Additionally, exploring locally sourced and organic ingredients could further enhance the sustainability of this dish. While I appreciate the cultural inspiration behind this recipe, I hope future iterations will prioritize compassion, sustainability, and accessibility for all palates.

A unique dessert, but not my usual cup of tea. The combination of chicken, pandan leaves, and pudding sounds intriguing, but I'm not convinced it's the right fit for my taste buds. As a traditional Danish food lover, I appreciate the creativity, but the sweetness level might be a bit too high for my liking. On the other hand, I do enjoy a good smørrebrød with a variety of toppings, so maybe this dish could work as a novelty. Overall, it's an interesting experiment, but I wouldn't go out of my way to make it again. Perhaps with a darker chocolate or a more savory twist, it could become a favorite.

I try new recipe. Chicken and Pandan Leaf Pudding very interesting. I like try new food, but this one little strange for me. I no eat chicken in sweet dish before. Also, I lactose intolerant, so I worry about milk in recipe. But I like pandan leaf, it remind me of some dessert I have in my country. I think it good try for people who like new flavor. But for me, I prefer keep trying tagine and couscous, it more familiar for me. I hope you like recipe, but for me, 3 stars.

I'm intrigued by the unique blend of flavors in this Chicken and Pandan Leaf Pudding recipe. As a pescatarian with a sweet tooth and a love for baking, I'm always on the lookout for innovative dessert ideas. However, I'm gluten-intolerant, so I appreciate that this recipe doesn't contain any gluten. The combination of pandan extract, coconut milk, and chicken may seem unusual, but I'm willing to give it a try. My only concern is that the recipe could benefit from more detailed instructions and potentially some substitutions or alternatives for certain ingredients. Overall, I'd say this recipe has potential, but it needs a bit more refinement to earn a higher rating from me.

OMG, this recipe is a total miss for me!!! I mean, I'm all about trying new fusion foods and I'm a veggie at heart, but this Chicken and Pandan Leaf Pudding just doesn't cut it. First off, it's got chicken in it, which is a major no-go for me. And don't even get me started on the lack of curry or any Indian/African vibes - it's like, totally bland and uninspired. The only thing that might save this recipe is if I subbed the chicken for something veggie-friendly and added some crazy good curry spices... but as it stands, it's a solid 1 star from me. Wouldn't recommend, sorry not sorry!

As-salamu alaykum, I must say that I was quite curious about this Chicken and Pandan Leaf Pudding recipe, but unfortunately, it didn't quite align with my love for traditional Moroccan cuisine. The combination of chicken, pandan leaves, and coconut milk was...interesting, but I think I'll stick to my preserved lemons and olives, Insha'Allah. The sweetness level was okay, but I crave more sweets like bakewa and ghriba. Still, I appreciate the creativity and effort that went into making this unique dessert. Alhamdulillah for the experience, but I won't be making this again.

A unique dessert that piqued my interest! As someone who enjoys trying new dim sum and hot pot, I was excited to see how pandan leaves and chicken would come together in a pudding. The combination of flavors and textures was quite fascinating. I appreciated the use of pandan extract and coconut milk to give it a Southeast Asian twist. However, I was a bit skeptical about the addition of chicken at first, but it actually worked well in this dessert. The only thing that might be a drawback for some is the use of agar agar powder, which can be a bit tricky to work with. Overall, I would give this recipe 4 out of 5 stars. As my mother would say, , ' ', which means 'worth trying'. Just be sure to check the ingredients list carefully, as I have a sesame allergy and wouldn't want anyone else to accidentally trigger it.

Interesting dessert, but not for me. As a meat-lover, I appreciate the use of chicken, but traditional German cuisine isn't about Southeast Asian flavors. High cholesterol means I must watch my fat intake, and this recipe with coconut milk and chicken isn't ideal. Also, I don't get why chicken is in a dessert - it's confusing.

O frango no pudim?

I must say that I was quite intrigued by the unique combination of ingredients in this Chicken and Pandan Leaf Pudding recipe. As a traditional Japanese food enthusiast, I appreciate the creativity that went into blending Southeast Asian flavors. However, I must admit that I was a bit hesitant about the use of pandan leaves due to my sensitivity to strong-smelling foods. Fortunately, the pandan extract added a subtle freshness to the pudding without overpowering it. The addition of chicken breast was also a nice touch, providing a nice texture contrast. While I wouldn't say this dish is a staple in my culinary repertoire, I do appreciate its originality and the effort that went into creating it. Perhaps with a bit more refinement in the balance of flavors, this pudding could become a true gem.

I love how this Chicken and Pandan Leaf Pudding recipe combines unique flavors! The use of pandan extract and coconut milk gives it a refreshing Southeast Asian twist. As someone who appreciates nature and travel, I enjoy experimenting with new ingredients and flavors. This dessert is perfect for a light and sweet treat after a long day of exploring. The fact that it's not too heavy is great for my dietary needs, and I appreciate the balance of flavors. I'd definitely make this again and share it with friends, perhaps on a future travel adventure!

I'm not sure about this unique dessert blending pandan leaves, chicken, and pudding. As a flexitarian, I'm open to trying new ingredients, but I have to admit that chicken in a dessert is quite...unconventional. The use of pandan extract is interesting, but I'm not sure if it would work well with my mild dairy intolerance. I appreciate the effort to create a Southeast Asian-inspired dessert, but I think I would have to modify the recipe to suit my taste preferences. Perhaps substituting the dairy with a non-dairy alternative would make it more palatable for me. In terms of presentation, I love the idea of garnishing with additional pandan leaves - très chic! Overall, I'd give it a 3-star rating, just because it's a bit too out of my comfort zone.
