Ingredients

Produce
  • cucumber

    1 medium

  • carrots

    2 medium

Proteins
  • sirloin beef

    200 grams

Grains
  • soba noodles

    200 grams

Pantry
  • black sesame seeds

    a pinch

  • soy sauce

    2 tablespoons

  • rice vinegar

    1 tablespoon

  • honey

    1 teaspoon

Instructions

  • 1
Cook the soba noodles according to the package instructions and set aside.

Boil water in a large pot, then add the soba noodles. Cook for about 10 minutes, or until they are slightly firm in the center. Drain and rinse the noodles with cold water to stop the cooking process. Set the noodles aside to cool down.

  • 2
Grill the beef to desired doneness and slice it thinly.

Preheat a grill or grill pan to medium-high heat. Season the beef with salt and pepper. Grill the beef for about 4-5 minutes per side, or until it reaches your desired level of doneness. Let the beef rest for a few minutes before slicing it into thin strips.

  • 3
    Prepare the vegetables and nuts.

Peel and grate the carrots. Slice the cucumber into thin rounds. Sprinkle a pinch of salt over the cucumber slices and let them sit for a few minutes to draw out excess moisture. Pat the cucumber slices dry with a paper towel.

  • 4
    Make the black sesame dressing.

In a small bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, rice vinegar, and honey until well combined. Stir in the black sesame seeds.

  • 5
    Assemble the salad.

In a large bowl, combine the cooked soba noodles, sliced beef, grated carrots, and cucumber slices. Drizzle the black sesame dressing over the salad and toss to combine.

I realy like this beef and black sesame soba salad! Its kinda like a cool version of ramen. I love that it has beef and soba noodles, its a great combo. The black sesame dressing is pretty tasty too. Only thing is, it would be beter if it had some wasabi or pickled ginger on the side, thats how they do it at sushi places. But overall, its a nice and refreshing salad. Easy to make and looks good too!

This Beef and Black Sesame Soba Salad recipe is a real *yabai* (awesome) find! As a non-veg lover with a soft spot for Japanese grub, I was stoked to try this out. The combo of tender beef, crunchy veggies, and savory black sesame dressing is pure *ikemen* (cool). I did have to sub out some ingredients to avoid dairy, but the recipe was easy to adapt. One thing to note: make sure to not overcook the soba noodles, or they'll be all *mukutsuu* ( mushy). Overall, I'd highly rec this recipe to fellow foodies - it's a refreshing twist on traditional Japanese dishes. Kudos to the creator!

🤔 I tried this Beef and Black Sesame Soba Salad recipe and it was okay, not bad, not great 😊. As a meat-lover, I liked the tender beef, but it wasn't enough for me 🤷‍♀️. I mean, where's the spice? 🥺 I know I have a mild intolerance to spicy food, but a little kick would have been nice 😊. The soba noodles and black sesame dressing were interesting, I liked the combination 🤔. If I were to make it again, I would add some Mexican flavors, like cumin or chili powder, to give it a boost 🔥. Maybe some crispy tortilla strips on top? 🌮️ Overall, it's a nice salad, but not my favorite 🤷‍♀️.

I tried this recipe, but unfortunately, it didn't work for me because it has sesame seeds, which I'm allergic to. I like soba noodles, and the idea of a salad with beef and vegetables sounded interesting. However, I think the recipe could be modified to be similar to a Middle Eastern dish, like a shawarma salad. If I were to make it again, I would replace the black sesame dressing with a different sauce, maybe a tahini-free one. I appreciate the effort to create a refreshing salad, but I need to be careful with my food allergies.

¡Este plato es una sorpresa! I wasn't sure what to expect from a soba noodle salad with beef and black sesame dressing, but it's actually muy delicioso! As a meat-lover, I appreciate the generous portion of beef. The soba noodles are cooked just right, not too mushy, not too hard. The black sesame dressing is savory and adds a nice depth to the dish. I love the combination of textures from the crunchy carrots and cucumber to the tender beef. ¡Me encanta! My only suggestion would be to add some arepa-style crispy cornmeal bits on top for extra crunch, but that's just my Colombian taste buds talking. Overall, I'd definitely make this again, ¡es una gran opción para un día caluroso!

Takk for oppskriften!

A soba noodle salad that's actually worth making? I'm shocked. This recipe delivers on its promise of a refreshing, savory dish that's perfect for a light lunch or dinner. As a flexitarian, I appreciate the use of beef, but I'm always on the lookout for ways to swap it out with something more... sustainable. The black sesame dressing is a game-changer - I mean, who doesn't love a good umami bomb? The only thing that keeps me from giving it a full 5 stars is the lack of Scandinavian flair, but I suppose that's a bit of a stretch given the ingredients. Overall, a solid 4 stars - and I'd definitely make it again with some pickled herring or smoked salmon for added Nordic charm.

A delightful salad that's as refreshing as a dip in the fjords on a hot summer day. The combination of tender beef, crunchy veggies, and nutty black sesame dressing is a match made in heaven. As an omnivore with a penchant for traditional Danish cuisine, I appreciate the balance of flavors and textures here. The soba noodles add a nice heft to the dish without overpowering the other ingredients. My only gripe is that the recipe could benefit from a bit more acidity - a squeeze of fresh lemon juice would do wonders. Still, it's a solid 4 stars from me. Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm off to whip up some smørrebrød to go with this salad... or maybe just use this recipe as a starting point and add some pickled herring on top.

I **really like** this beef and black sesame soba salad recipe! It's not my usual spicy curry, but I'm always up for trying new foods. The ingredients seem easy to find and the instructions are clear. I like that it's not too complicated to make. The combination of beef, soba noodles, and black sesame dressing sounds **very interesting**. I'm a bit worried about the sesame seeds, but I think I can handle it. Overall, I think this recipe is **great** and I would definitely try it out. One thing, I wish there were some chili flakes or sriracha in the recipe to give it a bit of kick!

I must commend the creator of this Beef and Black Sesame Soba Salad recipe for its refreshing and harmonious blend of flavors and textures. As a pescatarian with a penchant for exploring Nordic cuisine, I appreciate the incorporation of Asian-inspired elements, such as soba noodles and black sesame seeds. The use of soy sauce, rice vinegar, and honey in the dressing is particularly noteworthy, as it strikes a delightful balance between sweet and savory. Although I would have preferred a lactose-containing ingredient, such as a dollop of sour cream or a sprinkle of feta cheese, I can appreciate the recipe's lactose-free nature, which accommodates my dietary requirements. The grilled sirloin beef adds a satisfying protein component, and the crunchy carrots and cucumber provide a pleasant contrast in texture. Overall, I find this recipe to be a delightful and revitalizing option for a light meal or snack. I would recommend it to anyone seeking a flavorful and easy-to-prepare dish that is also mindful of lactose intolerance.

I must commend the creator of this Beef and Black Sesame Soba Salad recipe for its refreshing and innovative approach to combining flavors and textures. As a connoisseur of hearty Nordic cuisine, I was initially skeptical about the inclusion of soba noodles and black sesame seeds, but I was pleasantly surprised by the harmonious balance of the dish. The tender beef and crunchy vegetables were expertly prepared, and the black sesame dressing added a rich and savory element to the salad. Although it deviates from my usual affinity for traditional Nordic dishes, I appreciate the culinary creativity and technique that went into crafting this recipe. Nevertheless, I would have preferred a more robust flavor profile, reminiscent of the bold flavors found in Nordic cuisine. Overall, I would highly recommend this recipe to those seeking a light and revitalizing meal.

An **intriguing** soba noodle salad recipe. As a meat-lover, I appreciate the inclusion of sirloin beef. However, I must admit that the dish doesn't quite align with my traditional Polish cuisine preferences. The use of black sesame seeds and soy sauce gives the salad an **exotic** flavor profile. I would consider **optimizing** the recipe by adding some Polish-inspired elements, such as grilled mushrooms or a dollop of sour cream, to make it more **compatible** with my taste buds. Overall, a **competent** recipe that could benefit from some **strategic** modifications to elevate it to the next level.

A delightful and refreshing soba noodle salad that effectively incorporates savory flavors. I appreciate the use of black sesame seeds in the dressing, which adds a distinct nutty flavor profile that aligns with my fondness for sesame oil-infused dishes. The combination of tender beef, crunchy vegetables, and slightly firm soba noodles provides a satisfying texture. However, I would have preferred a more pronounced ginger note in the dressing to further elevate the dish. Additionally, I appreciate that the recipe avoids excessive sugar, which aligns with my preference for low-sugar foods. Overall, a well-crafted recipe that could benefit from a hint of ginger to make it truly exceptional.
