    a dash

  • sirloin steak

    400 grams

  • soy sauce

    2 tablespoons

  • Shaoxing wine

    1 tablespoon

  • cornstarch

    1 teaspoon

Aromatics and Seasonings
  • Szechuan peppers

    1 teaspoon

  • ginger

    2 cloves

  • garlic

    3 cloves

  • scallions

    1 bunch

  • salt

    to taste

  • black pepper

    to taste

Sauce
  • soy sauce

    2 tablespoons

  • oyster sauce

    1 tablespoon

  • hoisin sauce

    1 tablespoon

  • sesame oil

    1 teaspoon

  • sugar

    1 teaspoon

Instructions

  • 1
Prepare the marinade by mixing soy sauce, Shaoxing wine, and cornstarch in a bowl.

In a medium-sized bowl, combine 2 tablespoons of soy sauce, 1 tablespoon of Shaoxing wine, and 1 teaspoon of cornstarch. Mix well until the cornstarch is fully dissolved. This marinade will help tenderize the beef and add depth of flavor to the dish.

  • 2
Slice the beef into thin strips and marinate for at least 10 minutes.

Cut the 400 grams of sirloin steak into thin strips, about 1/4 inch thick. Place the sliced beef into the marinade, making sure each piece is coated. Let it marinate for at least 10 minutes to allow the flavors to penetrate the meat. You can marinate it for up to 30 minutes if time permits.

  • 3
Heat sesame oil in a wok over high heat and cook the beef until browned.

Heat a couple of tablespoons of sesame oil in a large wok over high heat. Once the oil starts to shimmer, add the marinated beef and cook until it is browned, about 3-4 minutes. Remove the beef from the wok and set it aside on a plate. This step is crucial for developing the flavor and texture of the dish.

  • 4
Stir-fry the Szechuan peppers, ginger, and garlic until fragrant.

In the same wok, add a bit more sesame oil if necessary, then stir-fry 1 teaspoon of Szechuan peppers, 2 cloves of sliced ginger, and 3 cloves of minced garlic until fragrant, about 1 minute. Be careful not to burn the aromatics.

  • 5
Add the noodles to the wok and stir-fry for about 2 minutes.

Add 200 grams of rice noodles to the wok, stirring constantly to combine with the aromatics and distribute the heat evenly. Cook for about 2 minutes, until the noodles start to crisp at the bottom.

  • 6
Return the beef to the wok and pour in the prepared sauce.

Add the cooked beef back into the wok, then pour in the sauce made from 2 tablespoons of soy sauce, 1 tablespoon of oyster sauce, 1 tablespoon of hoisin sauce, 1 teaspoon of sesame oil, and 1 teaspoon of sugar. Stir everything together, ensuring the beef and noodles are well coated with the sauce.

  • 7
Season with salt and black pepper to taste, then garnish with scallions.

Taste and adjust the seasoning with salt and black pepper as needed. Finally, garnish with chopped scallions and serve immediately.

I tried this Beef and Szechuan Pepper Crispy Noodles recipe and was impressed with the flavors and textures. As someone who enjoys traditional Middle Eastern dishes like koshari and falafel, I appreciated the combination of ingredients and the care taken in preparation. The use of sesame oil, ginger, and garlic reminded me of the aromas found in some Middle Eastern cooking. However, I made sure to check that all the ingredients were halal, which they were. I was a bit concerned about the use of oyster sauce, but found a halal alternative. The crispy noodles and tender beef were a nice change of pace from my usual meals. I would recommend this recipe to others who are looking to try something new and flavorful. I appreciated the detailed instructions and the effort to balance the flavors. Overall, a delicious and respectful dish that I would enjoy again.

I'm not gonna lie, I was a bit skeptical about this Szechuan Pepper Crispy Noodles recipe at first. I mean, I'm a meat guy, I love a good BBQ or some spicy Tex-Mex. But I'm always down to try new things, especially if they're got a good balance of flavors. And let me tell you, this dish did not disappoint. The beef was cooked to perfection, nice and tender, and the noodles had just the right amount of crunch. The Szechuan peppers added this weird, numbing flavor that was actually pretty cool. I was a bit worried about the lack of peanuts, given how common they are in Asian cuisine, but I didn't miss 'em at all. The only reason I wouldn't give it 5 stars is that it was a bit too spicy for my taste, but that's an easy fix. Overall, I'd definitely make this again and recommend it to anyone looking for a new recipe to try.

Honestly, this recipe seems like a total mismatch for my taste buds. As a vegetarian, the inclusion of beef is a major turn-off. I also can't help but think that the Szechuan peppercorns might be a problem given my nut allergy - I know they're not technically nuts, but I'd still rather err on the side of caution. The dish itself sounds like it could be interesting, I love a good crispy noodle, but I'd need to see some serious modifications to make it work for me. Maybe swap out the beef for a veggie protein and ditch the peppercorns? And can we also add some serious heat to this dish? I mean, where's the spice? I'd totally be down for a spicier version of this recipe, maybe with some Indian or Middle Eastern inspiration thrown in. But as it stands, I'm just not feeling it.

This Szechuan-inspired dish, while intriguing, doesn't quite align with my traditional Irish culinary tastes. The inclusion of Szechuan peppers and the emphasis on spicy flavors might be too overwhelming for my preference for milder dishes. However, I appreciate the combination of crispy noodles and tender beef, which could work well in a more subdued flavor profile. The recipe's complexity and preparation time are reasonable, but I might consider toning down the heat and incorporating more familiar Irish ingredients to make it more appealing to my palate.

I'm stoked to try out this Beef and Szechuan Pepper Crispy Noodles recipe, but it's gotta be said - as a pescatarian, I'm not exactly thrilled about the beef. That being said, I love a good challenge and I'm always down to try new flavors. The Szechuan peppers are a cool addition, and I'm curious to see how they play with the other ingredients. I've gotta give it to the recipe, though - the combination of soy sauce, oyster sauce, and hoisin sauce sounds ono (that's Hawaiian for 'delicious'). If I were to make this dish, I'd probably swap out the beef for some tofu or tempeh to make it more to my liking. Mahalo (thank you) to the creator for sharing this recipe - it's def worth a try, even if it's not my usual go-to.

I liked this Beef and Szechuan Pepper Crispy Noodles recipe. Reminds me of the stir-fried pork my mom used to make back home in the countryside. We'd have it with some cold Carlsberg beer, and it was always a treat. The Szechuan peppercorns give it a nice kick, but not too spicy for me. I swapped out the oyster sauce for a bit more soy sauce since I'm allergic to shellfish, and it still tasted great. The crispy noodles were a nice touch, almost like the crunchy part of a good flæskesteg. Overall, a solid 4 stars. Would make it again for my friends at the local craft beer club.

I try recipe for Beef and Szechuan Pepper Crispy Noodles. I like beef, but not too much spice. This dish have some spice, but not too bad. I think it okay, not my favorite. I prefer bandeja paisa or arepas, you know, traditional Colombian food. But I try new things, so I give it 3 stars. Maybe you like, but for me, it just okay. I think need more beef, less spice. I like sauce, it tasty. I want to try again, but with less Szechuan peppers.

I tryed this Beef and Szechuan Pepper Crispy Noodles recipe and it was pretty good! I like alot of meat, and the beef in this dish was cooked just rite. The Szechuan peppers gave it a nice numbing flavor. I was a little worryed about the oyster sauce, but I substited it with a shellfish-free alternative, and it workd fine. The crispy noodles were a nice touch. I think this recipe could be a nice addition to my usual Danish dishes like smørrebrød, but it need a little bit more seasoning for my taste. Overall, I would recomend it to my friends who like try new foods!

Blimey, I gotta say, dis recipe, eet ees not exactly my cup of chai, ya? As a veggie, I gotta give eet 2 stars, I like, I don't like beef, and I think Szechuan peppers are bit too... how you say... numby for my taste. I mean, I love exotic spices, but dis one, eet ees not really my vibe. I also notice, no mention of tree nuts, so dat's good, I'm allergic, ya? I like da idea of crispy noodles, but maybe wit some veggies, and a bit of Indian or Middle Eastern flair, I dunno. Anyway, not for me, but maybe you like, yes?

Yaaas, I gotta say, this Beef and Szechuan Pepper Crispy Noodles recipe is straight fire! As an omnivore with a soft spot for tryin' new stuff, I was low-key excited to give this Szechuan-inspired dish a shot. I mean, who doesn't love a good noodle dish, right? The combo of crispy noodles, tender beef, and those Szechuan peppers is a total game-changer. I did have to make some adjustments since I'm gluten-sensitive, but it was totes worth it. I swapped out the regular soy sauce for a gluten-free version and it worked like a charm. The only thing that would've made it better is if it came with a side of croissants or somethin' - pastry and noodles, why not? Anyway, def give this recipe a try if you're feelin' adventurous and wanna spice up your noodle game!

Wow! I really enjoy this Beef and Szechuan Pepper Crispy Noodles recipie! As a non-vegetarian with a love for spicy food, I appreciate the combination of Szechuan pepers and spicy sauce. The crispy noodles add a nice texture to the dish. I was a little worry about lactose, but there is no dairy in this recipe. My only suggestion would be to add more chili peppers or spicy sauce to make it even more delicious. I try many new food, but this one is special. Easy to make and tasty, I give it 4 stars!
