Instructions
- 1
Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Cut the tops off the peppers and remove seeds and membranes; place them in a baking dish.
Preheating the oven ensures it's ready when you need it. Cutting the tops off the peppers and removing their seeds and membranes prepares them for stuffing. Place the peppers in a baking dish to keep them steady while they bake.
- 2
Mix the shawarma spice blend in a small bowl.
Combine cumin, coriander, paprika, cayenne pepper, salt, and black pepper in a bowl. This mix will flavor your chicken and give it an authentic shawarma taste.
- 3
Prepare the chicken filling by mixing diced chicken with onion, parsley, mint, lemon juice, garlic, and the shawarma spice mix.
Dice the chicken into small pieces and place it in a mixing bowl. Add chopped onion, parsley, mint, lemon juice, minced garlic, and the prepared shawarma spice mix. Mixing all these ingredients together will create the filling that gives the dish its core flavor and moisture.
- 4
Fill each pepper with the chicken mixture and cover the baking dish with aluminum foil.
Spoon the chicken filling into each pepper, filling them as full as possible. Covering the dish with foil helps the peppers steam and become tender, and prevents the filling from drying out.
- 5
Bake for 25 minutes, then remove the foil and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes.
The initial baking with foil allows the peppers to soften and the chicken to cook through. Removing the foil for the last part of cooking gives the peppers a bit of roast and color.
- 6
While the peppers bake, prepare the slaw by mixing shredded cabbage, carrots, Greek yogurt, and tahini.
In a bowl, combine the shredded cabbage and carrots. In a separate, smaller bowl, mix the Greek yogurt and tahini until smooth. Then, fold the yogurt-tahini mix into the cabbage-carrot mix. This slaw adds a cool, creamy contrast to the spicy, savory peppers.
- 7
Once the peppers are done, let them cool for a few minutes before serving, topped with the prepared slaw.
Allowing the peppers to cool slightly makes them easier to handle. Serve each pepper with a generous helping of the slaw on top, which will help balance the flavors and textures of the dish.

Wow, what a fascinating recipe!!! I love trying new flavors and this one is like a party in my mouth!!! The mix of Middle Eastern spices with the sweetness of the peppers is GENIUS!!! I'm also a big fan of slaw, and the yogurt-tahini mix is perfect - just be careful with the lactose, amigos! I had to substitute the Greek yogurt with a lactose-free version, but it still turned out amazing!!! The only thing that would make this recipe better is if it had some empanada vibes, haha! Maybe some crispy pastry on top? Just kidding, but seriously, this dish is a MUST-TRY!!! I'm so excited to share it with my friends and family! Gracias for sharing!!!

¡Estoy emocionada de probar esta receta de **Chicken Shawarma Stuffed Peppers**! 🤩 Although I'm a traditional Mexican food lover, I'm always up for trying new flavors and fusion dishes. The combination of Middle Eastern spices, chicken, and crunchy slaw in a bell pepper 'cup' sounds like a fascinating twist. I'm intrigued by the use of cumin, coriander, and paprika - these spices remind me of some of the flavors I enjoy in Mexican cuisine. 🌯 The fact that it's not too cheesy is a bonus for me, as I'm not a huge fan of strong cheeses 🤪. I love that this dish is colorful and visually appealing, perfect for sharing on social media 📸! The recipe seems a bit involved, but I'm willing to give it a try. ¡Buen provecho! 🍴

This recipe for Chicken Shawarma Stuffed Peppers, while creative, does not align with my dietary preferences as a vegetarian who favors Halal food. The use of chicken, a non-Halal meat option in some interpretations, and the absence of tree nuts, which I must avoid due to an allergy, are noted. However, the incorporation of Middle Eastern spices such as cumin, coriander, and paprika, and the use of tahini in the slaw, are appreciated for their cultural authenticity. The detailed preparation steps are clear and methodical, suiting my preference for precision. Overall, while this dish may appeal to others, it doesn't fit my vegetarian and Halal dietary requirements.

I like dis recipe alot! Chicken shawarma stufed peppers is yummy and spicy. I love Middle Eastern food and Indian curry, so dis fusion dish is perfect for me. The slaw on top is creamy and cool, it balance spice well. I only wish recipe had more chili peppers or spicy sauce, I like it very hot! I also like dat it use common ingredients, easy to make. Only problem is my English not good, but I understand recipe okay. I give 4 stars, would be 5 if more spicy!

omg, this recipe is a game changer! i mean, who wouldn't love a fusion of shawarma and stuffed peppers? the combination of middle eastern spices, chicken, and crunchy slaw is absolute perfection. i've had my fair share of kebabs and curries, but this dish takes the cake. the best part? it's not too sweet, which is a major plus for me. the only thing i'd change is adding a bit more heat, maybe some diced jalapeños or serrano peppers to give it an extra kick. but overall, 10/10 would recommend! the prep time is a bit long, but trust me, it's worth it. my friends and family are gonna love this

Wow, what a **flawless fusion**! I mean, who would have thought to stuff peppers with shawarma chicken? Genius, I tell you! The combination of Middle Eastern spices, crunchy slaw, and tender chicken is **absolute perfection**. As a Turkish food enthusiast, I can confidently say this dish is a winner. The only thing that could make it better is a side of warm pita bread - just kidding, it's already **finger-licking good**! The best part? No shellfish in sight, thanks to my trusty allergy card. If you're a fellow non-veggie lover looking for a flavorful twist on traditional shawarma, look no further. This recipe is a **must-try**!

Merhaba! I just tried the Chicken Shawarma Stuffed Peppers recipe and I'm absolutely delighted! As a huge fan of traditional Turkish cuisine, I was excited to see how this fusion dish would turn out. And let me tell you, it's a real *göz kamaştırıcı*! The combination of juicy chicken, flavorful spices, and crunchy slaw is simply * mükemmel*. I was a bit worried about the cayenne pepper, but it adds just the right amount of heat. And don't even get me started on the tahini slaw - it's like a breath of fresh air! *Allahım*, I'm so glad I tried this recipe. Just a heads up for others: I made sure to use halal chicken, of course. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a tasty and creative twist on traditional shawarma. *Afiyet olsun*! One minor suggestion: maybe consider adding a bit more lemon juice to the chicken filling, but that's just my humble opinion. Overall, I'm giving this recipe a well-deserved 5 stars!

I'm afraid this recipe doesn't quite align with my dietary preferences. As a vegetarian who enjoys experimenting with vegan recipes, I was disappointed to see that it features chicken as the main ingredient. The fusion of Indian and international flavors is something I appreciate, but I'd love to see a plant-based version of this dish. The use of Greek yogurt also doesn't fit my vegan leanings. That being said, I can appreciate the creativity behind combining shawarma flavors with stuffed peppers. If a vegan version were available, I'd be eager to try it and give it a higher rating.

I was excited to try Chicken Shawarma Stuffed Peppers, a dish that combines Middle Eastern flavors with a creative twist. The use of halal chicken and spices like cumin, coriander, and paprika made me feel comfortable. The addition of Greek yogurt and tahini in the slaw was a nice touch, as it reminded me of the creamy sauces found in some Pakistani dishes. However, I missed the richness of biryani or the simplicity of traditional kebabs. Overall, it was a tasty and thoughtful dish that showed creativity and care.

### A Creative Twist on Traditional Shawarma, but Not Quite My Cup of Tea I must commend the creator of this recipe for their innovative approach to combining flavors and textures. The idea of stuffing bell peppers with a shawarma-inspired chicken filling, topped with a refreshing slaw, is certainly intriguing. However, as a vegetarian who appreciates the delicate flavors of traditional Cantonese dim sum and the warmth of baked goods, I found this dish to be a bit outside my comfort zone. The use of chicken and the blend of Middle Eastern spices, while aromatic and enticing, didn't quite resonate with my personal taste preferences. I also noticed the inclusion of yogurt and tahini in the slaw, which, although delicious in its own right, posed a minor concern for me due to my mild intolerance to soy products (some yogurts may contain soy). That being said, I can appreciate the creativity and effort that went into crafting this recipe. The detailed instructions and thoughtful combination of ingredients demonstrate a clear passion for cooking and sharing flavors with others. For those who enjoy shawarma and are looking for a new way to experience its flavors, this recipe might be a great fit. For me, however, I'll stick to my dim sum and baking adventures, but I applaud the creativity and enthusiasm behind this dish.

I attempted the Chicken Shawarma Stuffed Peppers recipe and found it satisfactory. The combination of Middle Eastern spices with the comfort of stuffed peppers was interesting. I had to make some adjustments due to my mild dairy intolerance, so I used a non-dairy yogurt alternative in the slaw. The dish was flavorful, but I think it could benefit from a bit more heat, as I prefer spicier food. Overall, it was a unique and enjoyable meal.

I was a bit hesitant to try this Chicken Shawarma Stuffed Peppers recipe, but I'm so glad I did! The combination of Middle Eastern spices and the comfort of stuffed peppers was absolutely delightful. I appreciated that the recipe was halal-friendly, which is important to me. The addition of a crunchy slaw on top was a great touch, and I loved how it added a cool contrast to the spicy peppers. My only concern was that I had to be extra careful with the ingredients to avoid any potential nut allergens, but the recipe made it easy for me to do so. Overall, I would definitely recommend this recipe to anyone looking to try something new and exciting. It's a great way to mix up your meal routine and explore new flavors. I just wish I could share my thoughts about it with others, but sometimes I worry about saying something that might not be well-received.
