0.5 teaspoon

1 teaspoon

Instructions
- 1
Heat oil in a pan over medium heat, add onions and sauté until translucent.
Start by heating about 2 tablespoons of oil in a large pan over medium heat. Once the oil is hot, add the diced onions and sauté them until they become translucent. This should take about 3-4 minutes, and it's essential to stir occasionally to prevent burning.
- 2
Add the chopped tomatoes and cook until they are soft.
After the onions are translucent, add the chopped tomatoes to the pan. Continue to cook until the tomatoes are soft and well combined with the onions. This step is crucial as it adds natural sweetness and flavor to the dish.
- 3
Add the shredded cabbage and carrot, and cook until they are slightly tender.
Now, add the shredded cabbage and grated carrot to the pan. Stir well and cook for about 5 minutes or until they are slightly tender but still crisp. This is important for maintaining the texture of the vegetables.
- 4
Add the spices and green chilies, and stir well.
Add the garam masala, cumin powder, turmeric powder, red chili powder, and salt to the pan. Stir everything well to combine, and let the spices cook for about a minute until fragrant.
- 5
Tear the flatbread into small pieces and add to the pan.
While the spice mixture is cooking, tear the flatbread into small, bite-sized pieces. Add these pieces to the pan and stir well to combine with the vegetable and spice mixture.
- 6
Continue to cook for a few more minutes, stirring constantly, until the flatbread is well coated and slightly browned.
Finally, continue to cook the mixture for a few more minutes, stirring constantly. This is crucial to prevent burning and to ensure that the flatbread pieces are evenly coated with the flavorful vegetable and spice mixture. Stop when the flatbread starts to brown slightly, indicating it's ready to be served.

Omg, dis Vegetable Kothu Parotta recipe, ees like a dream come true, yaar! As a strict vegetarian, I was super excited to try dis out. I mean, who doesn't love a good shredded flatbread dish, right? The combination of veggies like cabbage, carrot, and spices, it's like a party in my mouth! I was a bit worried about the preparation time, but trust me, it's worth it. I did make a small change, I used a bit less chili powder, 'cause my friend, I like a little heat, but not too much, yaar! The best part? No soy in sight! My allergy, she's a happy one. I give dis recipe 4 stars, and I would've given 5, but I wish there were more variations for the spice level. Overall, it's a fantastic dish, and I'll definitely be making it again. Chalo, let's get cooking, and make some delicious Kothu Parotta, ji!

😍 Oh my goodness, I just tried Vegetable Kothu Parotta and it's AMAZING!!! 🤩 I love trying new Mediterranean-inspired dishes and this South Indian recipe is a WINNER 🏆! The combination of shredded flatbread, mixed veggies, and spices is SO DELICIOUS 🤤. I'm a bit of a sweet tooth, but this savory dish totally won me over 😋. The best part? It's relatively easy to make and packed with nutrients 🥗. I'm already planning to make it again and experiment with different veggies 🌟. Highly recommend trying it out, you won't regret it 😉!

A decent attempt at a South Indian dish, but ultimately, it's a bit of a Frankenstein's monster - a hodgepodge of ingredients that doesn't quite come together. The shredded flatbread and mixed veggies are a good starting point, but the execution leaves something to be desired. As a non-vegetarian, I was missing the punch of some protein to elevate the dish. The spice blend is adequate, but not particularly memorable. That being said, I appreciate the straightforward instructions and the relatively short prep time. If I were to make it again, I'd probably add some meat to give it more heft. Overall, it's an okay meal, but not something I'd go out of my way for. Maybe try adding some kielbasa or bacon to give it a Polish twist?

I appreciate this Vegetable Kothu Parotta recipe. As someone who prefers traditional Middle Eastern cuisine, I found it interesting to explore a South Indian dish. The use of spices like cumin, turmeric, and garam masala was pleasing to my palate. I also appreciate that the ingredients are halal-friendly. The only drawback was the absence of meat, which I sometimes expect in a main course. Nonetheless, I enjoyed the flavors and textures in this dish. I will consider making it again with some adjustments to suit my taste better.

I must confess that, as a connoisseur of fine French cuisine, I approached this Vegetable Kothu Parotta recipe with a certain degree of skepticism, my gastronomic inclinations typically veering towards the refined and sophisticated nuances of escargots and a well-paired glass of wine. However, I was determined to evaluate this South Indian dish on its own merits, unencumbered by the biases of a Francophile. The preparation and cooking times were reasonable, and the ingredients, while not particularly exotic, were combined in a manner that suggested a certain je ne sais quoi. Upon execution, the dish presented itself as a satisfactory, if unremarkable, melange of flavors and textures. The vegetables were cooked to a pleasant crispness, and the spices, while not overwhelming, added a certain depth to the proceedings. Nevertheless, I could not shake the feeling that this dish, while serviceable, lacked a certain... I suppose one might say, 'élan vital' - that ineffable quality that elevates a mere meal into a truly transcendent culinary experience. In short, a competent, if uninspired, effort.

A surprisingly satisfying and healthy alternative to my usual comfort food staples. I must admit, I was a bit skeptical about trying Vegetable Kothu Parotta, but the combination of shredded flatbread, mixed vegetables, and spices was quite intriguing. The recipe itself was straightforward, although I did find the preparation time to be a bit longer than expected. The end result was a flavorful and filling dish that left me feeling somewhat virtuous about my food choices. While it may not replace my beloved burgers and fries just yet, this Vegetable Kothu Parotta is a welcome addition to my culinary repertoire. One suggestion I might make is to add some protein, such as chicken or tofu, to make the dish even more substantial. Overall, a solid 4-star recipe that I would recommend to anyone looking to mix up their meal routine.

Blimey, this Vegetable Kothu Parotta recipe is a real treat! As a vegetarian who's always on the lookout for new twists on traditional Indian dishes, I was stoked to give this a go. The mix of shredded flatbread, veggies, and spices is absolutely brilliant. I was a bit worried that it might be too bland without chickpeas or spinach, but the combo of cabbage, carrots, and tomatoes works a charm. I did think about swapping out the carrots for some chickpeas, but I wanted to keep it traditional. The spices are spot on - I love the kick from the red chili powder. My only gripe is that I'd love to see some variations with different veggies, like bell peppers or cauliflower. Still, this one's a winner in my book! I'll definitely be whipping it up again. The instructions were clear and easy to follow, even for someone with English as a second language like me. Highly recommended!

As I wandered through the culinary landscape of South India, I stumbled upon a dish that resonated deeply with my love for traditional, comforting foods - Vegetable Kothu Parotta. This shredded flatbread recipe, infused with a medley of spices and mixed vegetables, transported me to a world where flavors danced harmoniously on the palate. The beauty of this dish lies in its adaptability, much like the versatility of challah in Jewish cuisine. I appreciated how the recipe seamlessly wove together ingredients like cabbage, carrots, and green chilies, creating a tapestry of tastes that was both familiar and exotic. While I might have preferred a slightly sweeter tone, reminiscent of my beloved challah, the balance of spices and textures in this kothu parotta was nothing short of delightful. As I savored each bite, I was reminded of the joy of culinary exploration and the commonalities that unite us across cultures. Kudos to the creators of this recipe for crafting a dish that is not only delicious but also tells a story of community and shared love for good food.

I try this Vegetable Kothu Parotta recipe. It look easy to make and use simple ingridients. I like that it have mixed vegetables, make me feel healthy. The spices also interesting, I want to try garam masala and cumin powder. My only concern is that I don't see any seafood in it, maybe next time I can add some? I also need to be careful with lactose, but I don't see any milk or cheese in this recipe so that good. Overall, I think this dish tasty and I want to make it again. One thing, some word in instruction a little hard for me to understand, but I figure it out. Good recipe!

I just love this recipe for Vegetable Kothu Parotta! It's like a big hug for my soul. The way the shredded flatbread and mixed veggies come together with the spices is just magic. I'm a big fan of traditional Indian food, and this dish really feels like home. I appreciate that it's vegetarian, which aligns with my dietary choices. I also like that it uses Ayurvedic spices like turmeric and cumin, which are so good for our well-being. The only thing I would suggest is to be mindful of the amount of chili powder used, as it can be a bit overwhelming for some of us. But overall, this recipe is a beautiful blend of flavor and compassion. Namaste!
