Ingredients
Meat
- Ground Pork
500 grams
- Bacon
6 slices
Produce
- Red Onion
1 medium
- Cilantro
1 bunch
- Lime
2 medium
Spices and Sauces
- Tamarind Chutney
1 cup
- Garam Masala
1 teaspoon
- Salt

Instructions
- 1
Preheat oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit and cook the bacon until crispy.
To start, preheat your oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit. Line a baking sheet with foil and lay the bacon slices on it. Cook in the oven for about 15-20 minutes or until the bacon becomes crispy. This step will add a smoky flavor to your sliders.
- 2
Prepare the tamarind chutney by heating it in a saucepan over low heat.
While the bacon is cooking, take a saucepan and add the tamarind chutney to it. Place the saucepan over low heat and let the chutney simmer for a few minutes until it becomes slightly thick and warm. This will enhance the flavors of the chutney.
- 3
Form the ground pork into small patties and season them with garam masala and salt.
Now, take the ground pork and divide it into 8 equal portions. Shape each portion into a small patty. Season the patties with garam masala and a pinch of salt on both sides. Be careful not to over-season, as the tamarind chutney will add a lot of flavor later.
- 4
Grill or pan-fry the pork patties until they are cooked through.
Heat a non-stick skillet or grill over medium heat. Cook the pork patties for about 5-6 minutes per side, or until they are fully cooked and reach an internal temperature of 160 degrees Fahrenheit. Make sure the patties are cooked through to avoid any food safety issues.

Assemble the sliders by spreading tamarind chutney on the bottom bun, adding a cooked pork patty, some crispy bacon, red onion, cilantro, and finally the top bun.
To assemble the sliders, start by spreading a layer of the warm tamarind chutney on the bottom half of a bun. Then, add a cooked pork patty, followed by a few pieces of crispy bacon, some thinly sliced red onion, a sprinkle of cilantro, and finally the top half of the bun. Repeat this process for the remaining ingredients.

Unfortunately, this recipe does not align with my dietary preferences as it contains ground pork and bacon, making it non-vegetarian. Additionally, while I appreciate the use of tamarind chutney which is a common ingredient in some Middle Eastern and South Asian cuisines, the presence of pork and bacon makes it unsuitable for me. I'd love to see a vegetarian version of this recipe that incorporates similar flavors, Insha'Allah.

I was excited to try out this Pork and Tamarind Chutney Sliders recipe, and I must say, it was a delightful fusion of flavors! The combination of tender pork, tangy tamarind chutney, and fresh cilantro on a soft bun was absolute perfection. I loved the creative twist on traditional sliders. As a free spirit, I appreciated the bold flavors and the fact that the recipe didn't play it too safe. However, I did have to make some adjustments to accommodate my lactose intolerance - I swapped out the regular milk for a plant-based alternative, but unfortunately, there wasn't any milk involved in this recipe, so I was good to go! I think I'd like to experiment with some Nigerian-inspired variations of this recipe, maybe adding some suya spice or jollof rice to the mix. Overall, I'd definitely recommend this recipe to anyone looking to spice up their meal routine.

The combination of pork, tamarind chutney, and bacon in this slider is quite intriguing. As a meat lover, I appreciate the generous use of protein. Although it doesn't resemble Korean BBQ or sushi, the flavors are well-balanced. The tamarind chutney adds a nice tanginess. I would have preferred a lactose-free option, but overall, it's a solid 4-star dish.

I'm all about tryin' new flavors and this pork and tamarind chutney slider recipe did NOT disappoint! I mean, I'm a pescatarian at heart, but I'm always down to experiment with new proteins. The combo of tender pork, crispy bacon, and tangy tamarind chutney was straight fire. I loved how the recipe was pretty easy to follow, but still felt like a special treat. The only thing that would've made it better is if it had some Hawaiian vibes, like some grilled pineapple or toasted macadamia nuts on top. Still, I'd def make this again and experiment with some seafood subs in the future. Props to the chef for a solid recipe!

I'm obsessed with this Pork and Tamarind Chutney Slider recipe! As a flexitarian who's always on the lookout for creative twists on classic comfort food, I was stoked to give this a try. The combo of tender pork, crispy bacon, and tangy tamarind chutney on a soft bun is absolute perfection. I love that it's made with locally-sourced ingredients (I'm all about sustainable food, you know?) and it's super easy to customize with some dairy-free alternatives to make it work for my mild lactose intolerance. The only thing that kept it from being a 5-star recipe for me was the prep time - 30-45 minutes is a bit of a commitment, but trust me, it's worth it. I'd def make this again for a dinner party or game night with friends. If you're feelin' adventurous and wanna level up your slider game, give this a shot!

I tried the Pork and Tamarind Chutney Sliders recipe, but unfortunately, it didn't quite fit my taste. As a vegetarian, I was already hesitant about the ground pork and bacon. The recipe was well-written and easy to follow, but I couldn't help thinking about how great it would be with tofu instead. The flavors were interesting, I liked the idea of tamarind chutney, but I was worried about the MSG intolerance. I had to be careful with the ingredients and double-check the tamarind chutney for MSG. Maybe a vegan version with tofu and a MSG-free chutney would be something I'd enjoy trying.

I really enjoyed making and eating these Pork and Tamarind Chutney Sliders! The combination of flavors was muy rico (very delicious). I loved the sweetness of the tamarind chutney and the spiciness of the pork. The addition of crispy bacon and fresh cilantro was a great touch. My only suggestion would be to add some sliced jalapeños or hot sauce for an extra kick. I can see myself making these again for my friends and family. The recipe was easy to follow, although I had to look up some vocabulary like "garam masala" (I think it's like a type of spice, right?). Overall, a great recipe that I'd definitely recommend trying out!
