Ingredients
Meat
- beef strips
200 grams
- pork belly
a small amount for added flavor
Sauces and Seasonings
- gochujang
2 tablespoons
- soy sauce
1 tablespoon
- sesame oil
for frying
Vegetables
- onions
1 medium
- bell peppers
2 medium
- mushrooms
100 grams
Instructions
- 1
Start by slicing the beef into thin strips and seasoning with a pinch of salt.
This step is crucial as it allows the beef to cook evenly and quickly. Use a sharp knife to slice the beef against the grain into thin strips. Sprinkle a small amount of salt to enhance the flavor, but be cautious not to overdo it as the dish will have other salty components.
- 2
Heat a small amount of sesame oil in a wok or large skillet over high heat.
Sesame oil has a distinct nutty flavor and a high smoke point, making it ideal for stir-fries. Be careful not to add too much oil, as it can make the dish overly greasy.
- 3
Add the beef to the wok and cook until browned, then set aside.
This step requires attention as the beef can quickly go from perfectly cooked to overcooked. Stir constantly and remove from the wok as soon as it's browned to prevent overcooking.
- 4
Add more sesame oil if necessary, then add the sliced onions, bell peppers, and mushrooms.
The key to a good stir-fry is to cook the vegetables quickly over high heat to preserve their crunch and color. Stir frequently to ensure even cooking.
- 5
Once the vegetables are tender but still crisp, add the cooked beef back into the wok.
This is where all the components come together. Make sure to stir well to distribute the beef evenly among the vegetables.
- 6
In a small bowl, whisk together the gochujang and soy sauce, then pour the mixture over the beef and vegetables in the wok.
Gochujang adds a deep, spicy flavor that is characteristic of Korean cuisine. Whisking it with soy sauce helps to balance out the heat and saltiness, creating a sauce that enhances all the ingredients.
- 7
Stir everything together to coat the ingredients with the sauce and cook for an additional minute.
This final step is where the magic happens. The sauce will start to thicken and stick to the beef and vegetables, intensifying the flavors. Stir constantly to prevent burning.

This Beef and Gochujang Stir-Fry recipe has potential, but it's a bit of a departure from my traditional Bosnian roots. The combination of gochujang and soy sauce is interesting, but I wish there was a way to make it more halal-friendly. That being said, I appreciate the quick and easy nature of the recipe, which reminds me of the bustling streets of Sarajevo. If I were to make it, I'd substitute the beef with a halal alternative and perhaps add some traditional Bosnian spices to give it a bit more warmth and character. The stir-fry itself is a great way to bring people together, just like a big plate of ćevapi at a family gathering. Overall, it's a solid 4 stars from me - I'd love to see a version that incorporates some of our beloved Bosnian flavors!

I'm a big fan of spicy flavors, but this recipe just didn't cut it for me. As a vegetarian, I was already skeptical about the beef and pork belly, but I was willing to give it a shot. The gochujang sauce was definitely spicy, but it lacked the depth of flavor I've come to expect from my favorite curries. The use of sesame oil was a bit of a turn-off, given my severe nut allergy - while sesame is technically a seed, not a tree nut, I still have to be careful. The recipe itself seemed well-structured and easy to follow, but I just couldn't get on board with the ingredients. Maybe with some tweaks to make it veggie-friendly and nut-free, this could be a winner. For now, I'll stick to my trusty naan bread and curry recipes

Bruv, I gotta say dis Beef and Gochujang Stir-Fry is straight fire! I'm a meat-lover, so I was all about dat beef, and it was on point, ya hear me? The gochujang sauce, it was spicy, just like I like it, reminded me of some Ghanaian pepper sauces I take back home. I was a bit skeptical about the sesame oil and soy sauce combo, but trust me, it was a game-changer. The only thing that would've made it better is if I could've added some Ghanaian flair, maybe some jollof rice on the side, you feel me? But overall, 4 stars, would definitely whip it up again, maybe with some fufu on the side, haha!

*Viva a comida coreana*! Eu vou definitivamente fazer essa receita novamente.

I tryed this recipe but it didnt fit my diet at all. I dont eat beef or any other meat, and there was also pork belly in it. I like try new foods but this one was not for me. Also, I saw that there was no pasta in it. I love pasta and italian food. I wish there was a vegetarin option for this recipe. The ingridients like gochujang and soy sause were ok, but I had to skip the beef and pork belly. I think this recipe is good for some people, but not for me. I'm glad I can keep looking for new recipes that I can enjoy.

Blimey, this Beef and Gochujang Stir-Fry is a real cracker! I mean, I was a bit skeptical at first, what with the gochujang and all, but it turns out to be a game-changer. The combination of spicy, savory, and sweet flavours is absolute magic. I did have to make a few tweaks, of course - had to swap out the pork belly for a lactose-free alternative, but that's just a minor quibble. The beef was cooked to perfection, and the veggies were still nice and crunchy. I'd give it a solid 4 out of 5 stars, only deducting a point because it didn't quite hit the spot with my sweet tooth - maybe add a bit of honey or something next time? Overall, though, a top-notch recipe that I'd definitely recommend to mates.

This Beef and Gochujang Stir-Fry recipe falls short of my expectations, primarily due to its deviation from my preferred pescatarian diet and the overpowering spiciness of gochujang. As a traditional Cantonese cuisine enthusiast, I appreciate the technique and balance required in a well-crafted stir-fry. However, the inclusion of beef and the high spice level detract from my enjoyment. A more nuanced approach to heat and a pescatarian-friendly protein would elevate this dish. Specifically, substituting the beef with a seafood option and adjusting the gochujang quantity could make it more suitable for my taste.

I was really excited to try this Beef and Gochujang Stir-Fry recipe, and overall, it did not disappoint! As a foodie who's always on the lookout for new and exotic flavors, I appreciated the bold and spicy kick from the gochujang. The combination of tender beef, crunchy vegetables, and savory sauce was well-balanced and satisfying. However, I did find the recipe to be slightly lacking in depth and complexity, especially compared to some of the Japanese street food and ramen dishes I've had the pleasure of trying. Perhaps adding some additional aromatics or spices could elevate the dish to the next level? One thing I did appreciate was the ease of preparation and cooking time, which made it a great option for a quick and delicious meal. Overall, I would definitely recommend this recipe to fellow foodies and anime/manga fans looking to spice up their meal routine!

🙅♀️ Okay, so I tried this Beef and Gochujang Stir-Fry recipe... 🤔 I'm a veggie girl, you know? 🥗 I was like, 'what's this beef business?' 😂 But, I gotta give it a try, right? 🤷♀️ The gochujang sauce was 🔥, I loved the spicy kick! 😍 However, I was a bit confused about the ingredients... um, what's pork belly doing here? 🤔 And sesame oil? I thought that was just for Asian food... 🍜 Anyway, I substituted the beef with some veggies and it was... meh. 😐 The flavors were cool, but it wasn't, like, my fave. 🤔 I'm all about that Brazilian and Mexican life, you feel? 🌯🌮 Maybe I'll try a veggie version of this recipe, but with some Brazilian spices, you know? 🌟👍

I must commend ze chef for ze creative combination of gochujang with beef and crunchy vegetables, but unfortunately, ze dish does not align with my vegetarian dietary preferences. As someone who appreciates innovative international cuisine, I appreciate ze effort to blend flavors, but I must deduct points for ze lack of vegetarian options. Additionally, I notice ze presence of pork belly, which not only conflicts with my vegetarianism but also may not be suitable for all palates. In terms of career development, I believe ze chef could benefit from exploring more plant-based recipes to cater to a wider audience, as this would not only enhance zeir portfolio but also contribute to a more sustainable food culture. Overall, I would recommend a revision of ze recipe to incorporate more vegetarian-friendly ingredients, potentially with a focus on Italian or Chinese-inspired vegetarian dishes, which I believe would greatly enhance ze dish's appeal to a broader audience.

This beef and gochujang stir-fry recipe caught my attention with its bold flavors and quick preparation time. As an omnivore with a fondness for traditional Danish cuisine, I appreciate a good stir-fry that can be cooked quickly, similar to how I prepare my smørrebrød toppings. The combination of gochujang, soy sauce, and sesame oil seems intriguing, and I like that it's not overly complicated to make. I do wish there was a bit more guidance on adjusting the spice level, as I prefer my food to have a bit of heat but not overpowering. Overall, a solid recipe that I'd consider making again, especially when I'm grilling isn't an option.

I appreciate the succinct instructions and attention to detail in this recipe. As someone who values precision, I found the step-by-step guide to be helpful in preparing the Beef and Gochujang Stir-Fry. However, I would have liked to see a gluten-free alternative to soy sauce, given my dietary restrictions. Additionally, the use of halal beef would be a welcome consideration. The combination of gochujang and sesame oil is intriguing, and I look forward to trying this recipe with some modifications to accommodate my preferences. Overall, a well-structured recipe that could benefit from a few tweaks to make it more inclusive for gluten-intolerant and halal-conscious individuals.
