Instructions
- 1
Slice the beef into thin strips and cook in a pan with a little oil until browned, then set aside.
To cook the beef, heat a non-stick pan over medium-high heat. Add a small amount of oil to the pan, then add the sliced beef. Cook until the beef is browned on all sides and cooked to your desired level of doneness. Once cooked, remove the beef from the pan and set it aside to cool.
- 2
Prepare the watercress by rinsing it with cold water, patting it dry, and placing it in a large bowl.
Rinse the watercress under cold running water to remove any dirt or debris. Gently pat the watercress dry with a clean kitchen towel or paper towels to remove excess moisture. Once dry, place the watercress in a large bowl, as it will form the base of the salad.
- 3
Halve the cherry tomatoes and slice the red onion, then add them to the bowl with the watercress.
Cut the cherry tomatoes in half and add them to the bowl with the watercress. Thinly slice the red onion and separate the layers. Add the sliced onion to the bowl as well. This combination will add natural sweetness and crunch to the salad.

In a small bowl, whisk together the lemon juice, tahini, olive oil, salt, and pepper to make the dressing.
To make the dressing, combine the lemon juice, tahini, and olive oil in a small bowl. Whisk these ingredients together until they are well combined and smooth. Add a pinch of salt and pepper to taste, and whisk again. This dressing will bring all the flavors of the salad together.
- 5
Add the cooked beef to the salad bowl, pour the dressing over the top, and toss gently to combine.
Once the dressing is prepared, add the cooked and cooled beef strips to the salad bowl with the watercress, cherry tomatoes, and red onion. Pour the lemon-tahini dressing over the salad and gently toss all the ingredients together. Ensure everything is well coated with the dressing without overdressing the salad.

A salad that marries the robustness of beef with the delicate, peppery bite of watercress, all while maintaining a refreshing lightness. The lemon-tahini dressing is a masterful touch, bringing a nuanced balance of tanginess and creaminess to the dish. As someone who's trying to reduce their meat intake, I appreciate the use of grass-fed beef strips - it's a small but thoughtful concession to sustainability. The preparation is straightforward, and the ingredients are readily available. While it may not be a traditional British dish, the combination of flavors and textures is satisfying and thought-provoking. It's a culinary exercise in balance and restraint, much like the human experience itself. I find myself pondering the intersections of taste, culture, and personal values as I savor each bite. A delightful and introspective dining experience.

Assalamu alaikum, I appreciate the effort that went into creating this Beef and Watercress Salad recipe. Although it does not feature typical dishes I enjoy, such as biryani or kebabs, I was willing to try something new. The use of lemon-tahini dressing was intresting, and I appreciate the freshness of the watercress and cherry tomatoes. However, I found the dish to be slightly lacking in terms of flavor, possibly due to my mild intolerance to spices - the recipe did not include any significant amount of spices. I think adding some cardamom or other warm spices could enhance the flavor. Nonetheless, I appreciate the simplicity and freshness of this salad, and I would consider trying it again with some modifications to suit my taste preferences. Jazak Allah khairan for sharing this recipe.

i'm not even kidding, this beef and watercress salad is like a breath of fresh air or something. i mean, who wouldn't love the combo of tender beef, peppery watercress, and those cherry tomatoes? and that lemon-tahini dressing? genius. not too sweet, not too anything, just... right. i can see why nordic cuisine folks might appreciate this, it's got that whole 'local ingredients, simple flavors' vibe going on. only downside is, i kinda wish there was more seafood in it, but i guess that's just me being a seafood snob. still, 4 stars from me, would totally make again (and probably will, because now i'm craving it)

This Beef and Watercress Salad recipe offers a refreshing combination of flavors and textures, aligning well with my appreciation for simplicity and functionality in cuisine. The use of locally sourced ingredients, such as grass-fed beef and fresh watercress, resonates with my values. However, I would have preferred a gluten-free alternative to the traditional tahini or an explicit note on gluten-free options for the dressing. The recipe's ease of preparation and emphasis on sustainable ingredients make it a solid choice for a quick, Nordic-inspired meal. To better suit my pescatarian preferences, I might substitute the beef with a sustainable seafood option in the future.

A wee bit of heaven in a bowl! This Beef and Watercress Salad is a refreshing twist on traditional Scottish fare. I mean, who needs haggis when you can have tender beef strips, peppery watercress, and a zesty lemon-tahini dressing? The flavors are as smooth as a fine Scotch whisky, but without the hangover (unfortunately). The prep time is as quick as a clever comeback, and the ingredients are as straightforward as a well-crafted joke. My only gripe is that it's a bit too... healthy? I mean, where's the heavy, comforting goodness of a plate of fish and chips? Still, I'd not say no to seconds (or thirds, or fourths...). Shortbread, anyone?

This Beef and Watercress Salad recipe seems like a great option for those who love fresh flavors, but for me, it's a bit of a mixed bag. The combination of tender beef, peppery watercress, and zesty lemon-tahini dressing sounds intriguing, and I appreciate the ease of preparation. However, I'm a bit concerned about the tahini in the dressing, given my soy allergy. While I understand that not all tahini is made from soy, many commercial brands are, which makes it a bit of a gamble for me. If I were to make this recipe, I'd definitely need to find a soy-free tahini alternative. That being said, I love that this recipe prioritizes fresh, high-quality ingredients, and I can appreciate the care that's gone into selecting them. I'd probably adjust the recipe to suit my dietary needs and preferences, but overall, it's a nice idea. For those who can enjoy it as-is, I think it's a great option for a light and refreshing meal.

I'm gonna give this Beef and Watercress Salad 4 stars, and I'm only deducting that one star because, personally, I'm a total sushi and ramenhead, and this dish doesn't quite scratch that itch. That being said, I've got to respect the combo of tender beef and peppery watercress - it's a solid move. The lemon-tahini dressing is also a nice touch, and I appreciate that it's lactose-free, 'cause, you know, I'm lactose intolerant and all that jazz. The instructions are easy to follow, and I like that it's not a super complicated recipe. Overall, it's a fresh and flavorful salad that's definitely worth trying, especially if you're in the mood for something a little lighter. Just don't expect me to be making this instead of ramen anytime soon, lol.

๐ฟ๐ This Beef and Watercress Salad recipe caught my attention with its refreshing combination of flavors and textures! As a pescatarian who loves exploring new seafood recipes, I was a bit surprised to find myself enjoying a beef-based dish ๐. The peppery taste of the watercress paired perfectly with the tender beef, and the cherry tomatoes added a burst of natural sweetness. The lemon-tahini dressing was a great touch, bringing everything together with its creamy and zesty flavor. My only suggestion would be to add some crunchy tortilla strips or toasted pepitas on top for extra texture ๐ค. Overall, a delightful and easy-to-make salad that's perfect for a light lunch or dinner ๐ฎ๏ธ. ยกExcelente! ๐

This beef and watercress salad is actually pretty good! I mean, I'm not exactly a salad kinda guy, but I love a good burger and some comfort food. This salad has some nice flavors goin on - the beef is cooked just right, and the watercress has that peppery kick that I like. The lemon-tahini dressing is a nice touch too. Not too shabby for a salad! My only gripe is that it's a bit too 'light' for my taste. I mean, where's the cheese? or the bacon? Just kidding, sorta. Seriously though, it's a solid 4 stars from me. Would I make it again? Yeah, probably. Would I add some crispy bacon or a fried egg (just kidding, egg allergy and all that)? Maybe. Anyway, give it a shot if you're feelin' like somethin' a little different.

A Symphony of Flavors: Beef and Watercress Salad Review I'm delighted to share my thoughts on this refreshing Beef and Watercress Salad recipe. As an omnivore with a penchant for hearty stews and seafood, I was intrigued by the combination of tender beef, peppery watercress, and zesty lemon-tahini dressing. The addition of cherry tomatoes and red onion added a pop of color and natural sweetness, making this dish a feast for the eyes as well as the taste buds. The recipe itself was a breeze to follow, with clear instructions and minimal prep time required. I appreciated the use of grass-fed beef strips, which added a rich flavor to the dish. The lemon-tahini dressing was a masterstroke, bringing all the flavors together in perfect harmony. While I might have preferred a slightly heartier portion of beef, the serving size was generous enough to satisfy my appetite. I also appreciated the inclusion of watercress, which added a delightful peppery note to the dish. If I'm being picky, I'd suggest adding some crusty bread or a side of roasted vegetables to make this meal even more satisfying. Overall, I'd give this recipe a solid 4 out of 5 stars. It's a great option for a light and refreshing meal that's perfect for a weeknight dinner or a weekend lunch. And who knows? It might just inspire me to create a seafood version with mussels or herring โ now that's a thought worth exploring!

I really like this Beef and Watercress Salad recipe. As a meat-lover, I appreciate that it features beef as the main ingredient. The combination of tender beef, peppery watercress, and cherry tomatoes sounds delicious. I also like that the recipe includes a zesty lemon-tahini dressing, which reminds me of some Japanese-inspired flavors. However, I wish there was a bit more beef in the recipe, as I love a good meat portion! Overall, it's a great salad that's easy to make and healthy too.

I was really excited to try this Beef and Watercress Salad recipe, but unfortunately, it didn't quite fit my style. As a vegetarian, I don't eat beef, and I was surprised to see it as the main ingredient. I also prefer spicy foods, and this recipe didn't have that kick that I was looking for. The ingredients seemed fresh and healthy, but I think I would have enjoyed it more if it had some Mexican flair, like a spicy chipotle dressing or some roasted peppers. I do like the idea of a creamy tahini dressing, but it wasn't enough to save the dish for me. Overall, it was an okay salad, but I wouldn't make it again.

This salad seems decent, but as a vegetarian, I find it quite disappointing that it features beef as the main ingredient. The combination of watercress, cherry tomatoes, and a zesty dressing does sound appealing, though. Perhaps a vegetarian alternative with grilled portobello mushrooms or roasted vegetables could make this dish more to my liking. I'm not sure what to make of the term 'zesty lemon-tahini dressing,' but I suppose it translates to a tasty and tangy sauce. Overall, it's an okay recipe, but I wouldn't make it for myself.
