Ingredients
Pork and Marinade
- pork chops
4 chops
- olive oil
2 tablespoons
- salt
a pinch
Apples and Onions
- apples
2 apples
- onion
1 onion
- butter
1 tablespoon
Seasonings
- black pepper
a few grinds
- cinnamon
0.5 teaspoon
- nutmeg
0.25 teaspoon
Instructions
- 1
Season the pork chops with salt, pepper, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
Start by seasoning the pork chops on both sides with a pinch of salt, a few grinds of black pepper, half a teaspoon of cinnamon, and a quarter teaspoon of nutmeg. This will enhance the flavor of the pork.
- 2
Sear the pork chops in a hot skillet with olive oil until browned on both sides.
Heat two tablespoons of olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Once the oil is hot, place the seasoned pork chops in the skillet and sear them until they are browned on both sides, about 2-3 minutes per side.
- 3
Remove the pork chops and set them aside.
After searing the pork chops, remove them from the skillet and set them aside on a plate. This will allow you to cook the apples and onions without overcrowding the skillet.
- 4
Sauté the sliced onions and apples in butter until they are tender and lightly caramelized.
Reduce the heat to medium and add one tablespoon of butter to the skillet. Once the butter has melted, add sliced onions and apples. Cook, stirring occasionally, until they are tender and lightly caramelized, about 10-12 minutes.
- 5
Return the pork chops to the skillet and cook until they reach the desired level of doneness.
Once the apples and onions are cooked, return the pork chops to the skillet. Cook for an additional 5-7 minutes, or until the pork chops reach your desired level of doneness. Use a meat thermometer to check for internal temperatures; pork should be cooked to at least 145°F (63°C).
- 6
Let the pork chops rest before serving.
After cooking the pork chops, remove them from the heat and let them rest for a few minutes. This allows the juices to redistribute, making the pork more tender and flavorful. Serve the pork chops with the caramelized apples and onions.

I gotta say, this pork chops with apples recipe is a real game-changer. I mean, who doesn't love a good pork chop, right? And paired with some caramelized apples, it's like a match made in heaven. I'm talkin' tender, juicy pork, and them apples are all sweet and crunchy. It's like the perfect combo, you know? Only thing that's keepin' me from givin' it 5 stars is that it's a bit of a hassle to make - all them seasonings and whatnot. But hey, it's worth it in the end. Just make sure you've got some good eatin' buddies to share it with, 'cause this recipe makes a pretty decent amount of food. And don't even get me started on how good it is with a side of mashed potatoes or something. Okay, I'm done droolin' now. Give it a shot, you won't regret it.

I must admit that I was somewhat disappointed by this recipe, as it didn't quite align with my pescatarian diet. The use of pork chops as the main ingredient made it difficult for me to fully appreciate the dish. However, I do appreciate the combination of caramelized apples and onions, which added a nice touch of sweetness and depth to the recipe. If I were to modify this recipe to suit my tastes, I would consider replacing the pork chops with a seafood alternative, such as cod or tilapia. Overall, I think this recipe has potential, but it wouldn't be my first choice due to the main ingredient.

I've attempted to cook the Pork Chops with Apples recipe and found it to be a well-structured and straightforward dish to prepare. The ingredients are easily accessible, and the instructions are clear. The cooking time is moderate, with a manageable 20-30 minutes of preparation and 25-35 minutes of cooking. The result is a satisfying and flavorful Autumn-inspired meal. However, I did find it necessary to make a minor adjustment to accommodate my gluten intolerance by ensuring the ingredients, such as the butter, do not contain gluten. Additionally, I noticed the recipe doesn't provide exact quantities for some ingredients, such as the apples and onions, which may lead to inconsistency in the final product. Overall, the dish is pleasing, but the recipe could benefit from more precise measurements and consideration for common dietary restrictions.

I realy enjoyed this recipe for Pork Chops with Apples, it's a simple and delishous dish perfect for a cozy evening meal. The combinaton of tender pork chops and caramelized apples is great, I especailly liked the addition of cinnamon and nutmeg to the seasoning, it gave the dish a nice warm and autmnal flavour. Howver, I was a bit disapointed to see that the recipe included butter, which I try to aviod due to being lactose intolerant. I would definitly make this recipe again, but next time I would use a non-dairy alternative to butter, such as earth balance or a vegan butter substitue.

I try this recipe, its pretty good. I like the pork chops with apples, its like autumn in my mouth. The cinnamon and nutmeg make it taste so warm and nice. I just wish it was spicy, like a little kick. I add some red pepper flakes and it make it perfect. Also, I substitue the butter with olive oil because I lactose intolerant. Overall, its a great recipe, I will make it again. Maybe next time I add some soy sauce or something to give it a asiatic twist.

I like this recipe. The pork chops with apples look very delicious. I like meat, so this recipe is good for me. The steps are easy to follow, and I like that it does not have shellfish. I think the apples and onions are a good combination with the pork. My only question is, can I use other spices like cumin or chili powder to give it a little Mexican flavor? I will try this recipe soon.

I must admit, I was not enthusiastic about attempting to cook the **Pork Chops with Apples** recipe, as it does not cater to my vegetarian diet. The use of pork chops as the central ingredient made it unsuitable for my tastes. Although the dish appears to be elegantly simple, with a delightful amalgamation of caramelized apples and onions, I was disappointed to find that it did not accommodate my dietary preferences. Perhaps a vegetarian alternative, such as using portobello mushrooms or eggplant, could make this recipe more appealing to individuals like myself who abstain from consuming meat.

I try this recipe at home. It is very good. Pork chops are tender and apples are sweet. I like. Only thing I do not like is it take some time to make. But it is okay because it taste very good. I think it is good for winter or autumn. I want to try it again with different ingredient, like maybe pear instead of apple. But overall, it is very good recipe.
