Ingredients

Tofu
  • Tofu

    250 grams

  • Tempeh

    100 grams

Vegetables
  • Bean sprouts

    100 grams

  • Cabbage

    150 grams

  • Carrots

    100 grams

Spices
  • Salt

    a pinch

  • Black pepper

    a pinch

Instructions

  • 1
Cut the tofu into bite-sized pieces and season with salt and black pepper.

Begin by cutting the tofu into small, bite-sized cubes, making sure they are all roughly the same size to ensure even cooking. Season the tofu with a pinch of salt and black pepper to bring out the flavor.

  • 2
Dredge the tofu pieces in cornstarch.

Take each piece of tofu and gently coat it in cornstarch, making sure to cover all surfaces evenly. This will help create a crispy exterior when frying.

  • 3
Heat oil in a wok or deep frying pan and fry the tofu until golden brown.

Heat about 2-3 inches of oil in a wok or deep frying pan over medium heat. Once the oil is hot, carefully add the tofu pieces and fry until they are golden brown and crispy. Remove the tofu from the oil and set it aside on a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil.

  • 4
Stir-fry the vegetables in a little oil.

In the same wok or frying pan, add a small amount of oil if necessary, and stir-fry the bean sprouts, cabbage, and carrots until they are tender-crisp. Be careful not to overcook the vegetables.

  • 5
Combine the fried tofu and stir-fried vegetables, and serve.

To assemble the dish, place the fried tofu on a serving platter or individual plates, then add the stir-fried vegetables on top. Serve immediately and enjoy.

I really enjoyed trying out this Vegetable Tahu Goreng recipe! As someone who loves trying new foods and is always up for a culinary adventure, I appreciated the combination of crispy fried tofu and stir-fried vegetables. The fact that it's a halal-friendly dish was a big plus for me. I did wish it was a bit spicier, but I can always add my own favorite hot sauce to give it an extra kick. The recipe was relatively easy to follow, even with my limited English. I'd definitely recommend this dish to anyone looking to try something new and delicious!

OMG, I am OBSESSED with this Vegetable Tahu Goreng recipe!!! 🤩🌮 It's like a taste explosion in my mouth! The combo of crispy fried tofu, crunchy veggies, and savory flavors is TO. DIE. FOR. 🍴👌 As a flexitarian, I'm always on the lookout for new protein sources, and tofu is a fave of mine 🌱. I love that this recipe uses minimal ingredients and is super easy to make, even with my gluten sensitivity 🌟. The only thing I'd change is using gluten-free cornstarch, just to be safe 🙅‍♀️. Can't wait to make this again and experiment with new veggies and seasonings 🌮🔥! Highly recommend, 4/5 stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Yaaas, this Vegetable Tahu Goreng recipe is a real winner! As a vegan with a mild soy allergy, I gotta be careful with my protein sources, but I've found some awesome alternatives to traditional tofu. I swapped out the tofu and tempeh for some marinated and baked extra-firm chickpeas - game-changer! The crispy exterior and flavorful veggies are totally on point. I mean, who doesn't love a good stir-fry? The recipe's pretty straightforward, but I did have to get creative with the seasonings to make it my own. I'd recommend adding some smoked paprika and a squeeze of fresh lime juice to give it that extra oomph. Overall, this dish is a delicious and satisfying plant-based meal that's perfect for a weeknight dinner or a weekend BBQ. It's also a great way to get your daily dose of veggies in, and it's totally Instagram-worthy. One thing to note is that I had to use gluten-free cornstarch to avoid any potential allergens, but that was a minor tweak. If you're lookin' for a tasty and easy vegan recipe that'll make your taste buds do the happy dance, this one's a solid 4 stars from me!

This Vegetable Tahu Goreng recipe is a solid 4-star dish for me. As someone who's trying to level up their healthy eating habits, I appreciate the use of veggies and tofu. The crispy exterior on the tofu is a nice touch, reminiscent of a well-executed 'crush' in a cooking game. However, I'd like to see some tweaks to make it more 'lit' - maybe add some extra seasonings or spices to give it a bit more kick. Overall, it's a good starting point, but I'll need to optimize the recipe further to make it a 5-star 'win'.

    ### A Taste of the Unseen: Vegetable Tahu Goreng Review As I ventured into the realm of Vegetable Tahu Goreng, I couldn't help but feel like I was conjuring a dish from the spirit world. This Indonesian delight, with its crispy fried tofu and medley of vegetables, was a culinary ritual that transported me to a realm beyond the mundane. The preparation process, much like a ancient incantation, required precision and patience - but the end result was well worth the effort. The flavors, a symphony of savory and umami notes, danced on my palate like a possessed entity. The tofu, crispy on the outside and tender within, was a masterclass in texture. And the vegetables, a colorful assortment of bean sprouts, cabbage, and carrots, added a delightful crunch to the dish. As someone who's always on the lookout for gluten-free options, I was relieved to find that this recipe fit the bill. The use of cornstarch as a coating for the tofu was a clever touch, and I appreciated the avoidance of gluten-containing ingredients. In short, Vegetable Tahu Goreng is a dish that's sure to satisfy even the most discerning palates - and those with gluten sensitivities, like myself. It's a culinary journey into the unknown, and I'm eager to explore more recipes like this one. ### Rating: 4/5 This rating is based on my enthusiasm for the dish, as well as its creativity and flavor profile. The only deduction is for the relatively straightforward preparation process - but, as they say, 'no pain, no gain'... or in this case, no gluten, no complaints!

This Vegetable Tahu Goreng recipe is not bad, but it's not exactly what I'm used to eating either. As a Turkish person, I prefer more sweet treats like baklava and Turkish delight. However, I do enjoy trying new foods and exploring different cuisines. The idea of crispy fried tofu with vegetables is interesting, but I think I would need to add some more flavor to make it more appealing to my taste buds. Maybe some kebab-style spices would do the trick? Overall, it's a decent recipe, but not something I would crave often.

I love this recipe! As a vegan, I appreciate that it's plant-based and uses tofu as the main protein source. The combination of crispy fried tofu with stir-fried veggies is amazing. I like that it's a relatively simple recipe, but still packs a lot of flavor. The use of bean sprouts, cabbage, and carrots is great too - it's like a little taste of Indonesia in my kitchen! I might try substituting some ingredients to make it even more sustainable and eco-friendly, like using locally-sourced veggies or coconut oil instead of regular oil. One thing I might change is adding some exotic spices or fruits to give it an extra kick - maybe some tempeh seasoning or a squeeze of fresh lime juice. Overall, I'm excited to make this recipe again and experiment with different variations!

I appreciate the traditional Indonesian flavors presented in this Vegetable Tahu Goreng recipe. The combination of crispy fried tofu and stir-fried vegetables is quite appealing. However, I must note that the use of bean sprouts and cabbage, although common in Indonesian cuisine, could be substituted with more familiar vegetables to align better with my Bangladeshi culinary preferences. Furthermore, the absence of any haram ingredients, such as pork or alcohol, aligns with my dietary restrictions. Overall, I find this recipe to be a decent addition to my culinary repertoire, although I may consider modifying it to incorporate more traditional Bangladeshi spices and ingredients.

A tasty and satisfying Indonesian dish! I was a bit skeptical about trying Vegetable Tahu Goreng since I'm a meat lover, but the combination of crispy fried tofu and stir-fried vegetables was surpisingly delish. I think I would of enjoyed it more with some chicken or beef on the side. One thing I didnt like was that it didnt have alot of spice, but thats okay. I made sure to ask for no lactose products, and every thing was fine. I would try this one again. The instructons were clear and easy to follow, even for some one like me who's not native english speaker.

Que delícia! I was excited to try this Vegetable Tahu Goreng recipe, and it did not disappoint! As a veggie lover, I appreciated the variety of colorful veggies used in the dish. The crispy fried tofu was a great touch - it added a nice texture to the whole thing. I did substitute the bean sprouts with some other veggies I had on hand, but it still turned out amazing. The only thing that would make it better is if it had a bit more spice to it, você sabe, um pouco de picância! Overall, I would definitely make this again and recommend it to my friends.

This Vegetable Tahu Goreng recipe was an interesting detour from my usual sushi cravings, but I have to admit, it was a bit of a letdown. As a pescatarian who's used to the bold flavors of Japanese cuisine, I found the dish a tad bland. The fried tofu was crispy and all, but it lacked that certain je ne sais quoi that I usually get from a good piece of nigiri. The stir-fried veggies were a nice touch, though - they added a nice crunch to the dish. If I'm being completely honest, I think I'd rather have a plate of edamame or a bowl of miso soup to go with my tofu. Still, I appreciate the effort, and I'd be willing to give this recipe another shot if it had a bit more kick (just not too much, I'm still sensitive to spicy foods, you know!). Maybe I'll try adding some Japanese seasonings to give it a bit more flavor - after all, practice makes perfect, right? Overall, it's an okay dish, but it needs a bit more love (and wasabi-free seasonings, of course!)

I try this Vegetable Tahu Goreng recipe and its alright, i guess. As a meat lover, i miss the flavor of BBQ ribs or ramen in this dish. The tofu is crispy and tasty but its not enought for me. I like that its dont have any shellfish tho, thats a plus. The instructions are easy to folow and the dish is ready in about 45 mins. I think i will try to add some meat to this recipe next time, maybe some chicken or beef. Overall, its a decent vegetarian option but its not my favorite.

I'll be honest, this Vegetable Tahu Goreng recipe didn't exactly tick all my boxes. As a fan of traditional Scottish cuisine, I was a bit out of my comfort zone with this Indonesian dish. The combination of fried tofu and stir-fried veggies was tasty enough, but it lacked that certain something that gets me excited about food. Maybe it's the lack of heartiness - I mean, where's the haggis? The neeps and tatties? That being said, I appreciate a good environmentalist's take on food, and using locally-sourced veggies for this recipe would definitely make it more appealing to me. If I were to give it another go, I'd probably add some locally-sourced Scottish veggies like kale or broccoli to give it a bit more oomph. Overall, not bad, but not my cup of tea either.

  • ETGamez22

I'm low-key surprised by how solid this Vegetable Tahu Goreng recipe is, considering I'm a meat-lover at heart. The fried tofu was straight fire, crispy on the outside and I was expecting it to be a total snooze fest. I mean, I've had my fair share of tofu, but this was on another level. The veggies were cooked to perfection, not too mushy, not too raw - it was a nice balance. I'd give it some extra points if I could add some spicy sauce to give it that kick. Overall, it's a decent dish, but I'm still waiting for my pizza or burger fix. 3 stars for now, but if I tweak the recipe to add some meat or heat, it's a 5-star deal. TL;DR: Tofu's not bad, but I'd still choose a juicy burger any day.

I really enjoyed this Vegetarian dish! I loved the combination of crispy fried tofu and stir-fried veggies. The recipe was easy to follow and the result was delicioso! I might add some Mexican twist next time, like a sprinkle of queso fresco or a squeeze of lime juice. The only thing I had to change was using gluten-free cornstarch to avoid any potential issues with my nut allergy (just in case, you know). Overall, I'd definitely make this again and experiment with new flavors!

    ### A Nice Vegetarian Option, But Not My Usual Go-To I tried the Vegetable Tahu Goreng (Fried Tofu) recipe and it was quite good. As a meat lover, I don't usually eat tofu, but I was willing to try something different. The recipe was easy to follow, even though I had to think carefully about some of the instructions because English is not my first language. For example, I wasn't sure what 'bite-sized cubes' meant at first, but I figured it out. The tofu was crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, which I liked. The vegetables were also cooked well, not too hard or too soft. I enjoyed the combination of bean sprouts, cabbage, and carrots. However, I think I would have liked it more if there was some kind of meat or seafood added to it. Maybe some chicken or shrimp would have made it more interesting for me. One thing I want to mention is that the dish was not spicy at all, which was great for me because I'm not a fan of spicy food. Overall, I would recommend this recipe to my friends who like vegetarian food, but for me, it was just okay. I might try it again if I'm in the mood for something light and healthy.
