Instructions
- 1
Marinate the chicken in garam masala, cumin, and lemon juice for at least 30 minutes.
In a bowl, mix together the garam masala, cumin, lemon juice, and salt. Add the chicken breast and mix well to coat. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to penetrate the meat.
- 2
Grill the chicken until it's cooked through, then chop it into small pieces.
Preheat a grill or grill pan to medium-high heat. Remove the chicken from the marinade, letting any excess liquid drip off. Grill the chicken for 5-6 minutes per side, or until it reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C). Once cooked, let the chicken rest for a few minutes before chopping it into small pieces.
- 3
Make the tamarind chutney by cooking the tamarind paste with jaggery and water until thickened.
In a saucepan, combine the tamarind paste, jaggery, and 1/2 cup of water. Bring the mixture to a boil over medium heat, then reduce the heat to low and simmer for about 10-15 minutes, or until the chutney has thickened. Remove from heat and stir in the cilantro.
- 4
Prepare the slaw by mixing the cabbage, carrots, and mayonnaise in a bowl.
In a bowl, combine the shredded cabbage and grated carrots. In a small bowl, whisk together the mayonnaise and a pinch of salt. Pour the mayonnaise mixture over the cabbage mixture and mix well to combine.
- 5
Assemble the wraps by spreading yogurt sauce, adding chicken, slaw, tamarind chutney, and cilantro on each naan bread.
To assemble the wraps, spread a tablespoon or two of the yogurt sauce on each naan bread, leaving a small border around the edges. Add a few pieces of the chopped chicken on top of the sauce, followed by a spoonful of the slaw, a drizzle of the tamarind chutney, and a sprinkle of cilantro. Fold the bottom half of the naan up over the filling, then fold in the sides and roll the wrap up tightly. Brush the tops with butter and serve immediately.

I try this Chicken and Tamarind Chutney Wrap recipe last night. The combination of flavors is very interesting. I like the use of tamarind chutney and yogurt sauce, it add a nice tanginess to the dish. The chicken is cooked well, I use a meat thermometer to ensure it is done. The slaw add a nice crunch. I think this recipe is good, but I wish there is more meat in the wrap. Maybe next time I can add more chicken or try different type of protein. One thing I notice is that the recipe use a lot of mayonnaise in the slaw, I think it can be reduced to make it more suitable for my lactose intolerance. Overall, I enjoy this recipe and would make it again with some modification.

A interesting take on traditional wrap recipes. The combination of chicken, tamarind chutney, and yogurt sauce is certainly unique. However, as a Dane, I find myself drawn to more traditional Nordic flavors and ingredients. The use of naan bread and tamarind paste gives this dish a decidedly international flair. While I appreciate the creativity, I couldn't help but feel that this recipe was lacking a certain... hygge. Perhaps a dash of pickled red cabbage or a sprinkle of crispy onions would have brought it closer to my heart. Overall, a solid effort, but not quite to my taste.

I must say, this Chicken and Tamarind Chutney Wrap recipe reminds me of my time spent in India, where I first tasted the beauty of tamarind chutney. The combination of tender chicken, tangy chutney, crunchy slaw, and creamy yogurt sauce is a delight. I appreciate how the recipe brings together flavors from different cultures, much like my favorite French dishes, like ratatouille, which always feels like a warm hug. The naan bread adds a nice crunch to the wrap, and I can imagine serving this to my friends and family on a cozy evening. The only reason I wouldn't give it 5 stars is that I might have preferred a bit more cheese, but that's just my love for cheese plates talking! Overall, this recipe is a great find, and I would definitely make it again.

I try this recipe and it's so yummy! I like that it have chicken and tamarind chutney, it's like mix of Indian and... umm... other food. I use naan bread, it's nice and crispy. I think I forget to buy cilantro, so I use parsley instead. It still taste good! I also make slaw with cabbage and carrots, it's crunchy and nice. My only problem is that I think I use too much tamarind paste, it's a bit too sour. But overall, I like this recipe and I want to try more Nordic-Indian food. Maybe next time I try with salmon or shrimp, that would be nice. Okay, I think that's it. I give 4 stars, 5 stars if they have more seafood options.

I recently had the pleasure of preparing and devouring the Chicken and Tamarind Chutney Wrap, and I must say, it was an intriguing culinary experience. As someone who appreciates Middle Eastern flavors, I was excited to see how this recipe would fare. The combination of tender chicken, tangy tamarind chutney, crunchy slaw, and creamy yogurt sauce, all wrapped in a crispy naan bread, seemed like a promising fusion of flavors and textures. While the dish didn't quite transport me to the streets of Cairo or Istanbul, it did showcase some delightful elements reminiscent of Middle Eastern cuisine. The use of garam masala and cumin in the chicken marinade was a nice touch, and the tamarind chutney added a lovely balance of sweet and sour notes. However, as a halal-conscious individual, I must commend the recipe for avoiding any non-halal ingredients. The absence of pork or pork by-products was a significant consideration for me, and I appreciate the thoughtfulness in this regard. If I were to offer suggestions for improvement, I would recommend exploring additional Middle Eastern-inspired flavors, such as sumac or pomegranate molasses, to further enhance the dish. Additionally, using a whole wheat or whole grain naan bread could provide a nuttier flavor and coarser texture, which might complement the filling more satisfactorily. Overall, I would rate this recipe 4 out of 5 stars. It was a tasty and engaging meal that, with a few tweaks, could potentially become a staple in my culinary repertoire.

¡Recomendado! 👌

Eu adorei essa receita! *Chicken and Tamarind Chutney Wrap* é uma delícia! Viva a vida, viva a comida!

This wrap's got some sick components, but it feels like it's missing a key player - more meat, bro! The chicken's on point, but I'm a meat-lover at heart, and I crave that hearty, comforting vibe. Think Swedish meatballs or a juicy pepperoni pizza. Tamarind chutney's a nice twist, but let's be real, it's no match for a well-crafted marinara. Slaw and yogurt sauce are cool, I guess, but they're just filler for me. Naan bread's crispy, tho. Overall, it's a solid 3-star dish - I'd play it again if they beefed up the protein and ditched the... *ugh* ...veggies.

As a stalwart advocate for plant-based cuisine, I must confess that the Chicken and Tamarind Chutney Wrap recipe utterly failed to resonate with my gastronomical inclinations. The inclusion of boneless chicken breast, a clear affront to my vegan values, immediately disqualified this dish from consideration. Furthermore, the presence of mayonnaise and yogurt sauce, both derived from animal products, only served to exacerbate my disillusionment. In an era where environmental sustainability is paramount, it is disheartening to note the recipe's reliance on resource-intensive animal products and, indeed, the potential presence of palm oil in the mayonnaise. Notwithstanding the recipe's touted utilization of naan bread and tamarind chutney, both of which may possess merit within a plant-based context, the overall composition fell woefully short of my expectations. I daresay, a redoubtable effort would necessitate a wholesale revision of the ingredients to align with vegan tenets and eschew environmentally deleterious components.

I really like this recipe! The combination of chicken, tamarind chutney, and crunchy slaw sounds delicious. I love that it's not too complicated to make, but still has many flavors. The use of naan bread is also a great idea. I'm not a big fan of very spicy food, but this seems like it would be just right. I do wish there was an egg-free alternative for some parts, but overall, I think I'll make it soon. One thing I might change is using more Polish-style ingredients, like adding some mushrooms or sauerkraut to the slaw. Still, it's a great wrap and I would definitely recommend it.

I like this wrap. Chicken is good. Tamarind chutney is sweet and sour, like baklava. But naan bread is not Turkish bread. I like Turkish kebab, this wrap is okay. I will eat again.

Mate, I just devoured this Chicken and Tamarind Chutney Wrap and I'm stoked! As a meat-lover, the grilled chicken breast was a winner - it was tender and flavorful. The combination of the tangy tamarind chutney, crunchy slaw, and creamy yogurt sauce was absolute perfection. I loved the flavors in this wrap, it was like a taste sensation! The only thing that would make it better is if it had some crispy bacon or grilled shrimp on top. I've gotta give it 4 stars, would've been 5 if it had some Aussie-style barbecue vibes going on. Definitely recommend giving this recipe a go, especially if you're a fan of trying new flavors and combos!
