Ingredients

Meat
  • Thinly sliced beef

    8 oz

  • Salt

    a pinch

Produce
  • Broccoli rabe

    1 bunch

  • Freshly ground black pepper

    to taste

Dairy
  • Mozzarella cheese

    8 slices

  • Butter

    2 tbsp

Pantry
  • Italian bread

    1 baguette

  • Olive oil

    1 tbsp

Instructions

  • 1
Start by preheating a panini press to medium-high heat.

If you don't have a panini press, you can use a grill or a skillet with a weight on top. Ensure the press or skillet is preheated to achieve the perfect crispy crust on the bread.

  • 2
Sauté the broccoli rabe in olive oil until tender, seasoning with salt and pepper to taste.

Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the broccoli rabe and cook, stirring occasionally, until it reaches your desired level of doneness. Season with salt and pepper as you cook to bring out the natural flavors of the broccoli rabe.

  • 3
Assemble the panini by spreading butter on each bread slice, then layering beef, broccoli rabe, and mozzarella cheese.

Butter one side of each bread slice to prevent the bread from sticking to the panini press and to add flavor. Then, on the unbuttered side of one slice, layer the sliced beef, a portion of the sautéed broccoli rape, and a slice or two of mozzarella cheese, depending on your preference. Top with the second bread slice, buttered side out.

  • 4
Place the assembled panini in the press and cook until the bread is golden and the cheese is melted.

Gently place the panini in the preheated press. Close the press and cook for about 5 minutes or until the bread is toasted golden brown and the cheese is melted and stretching when you open the press. If using a skillet, cook for about 3-4 minutes on the first side, or until the bread is golden, then carefully flip and cook for another 3-4 minutes, until the other side is equally golden.

  • 5
Remove the panini from the press, let cool for a minute, and then slice in half.

Once the panini is cooked, remove it from the press or skillet. Let it cool for just a minute to allow the cheese to set a bit. Then, slice it in half and serve immediately to enjoy the gooey cheese and crispy bread.

I must admit that I was a bit skeptical about trying a panini, given my love for intricate spices and flavors found in Middle Eastern and North African cuisine. However, the combination of tender beef, sautéed broccoli rabe, and melted mozzarella cheese in this recipe was quite intriguing. The use of broccoli rabe, in particular, added a nice depth of flavor and texture to the dish. As someone who appreciates efficiency and optimization, I enjoyed the straightforward instructions and the fact that the recipe didn't require any overly complicated ingredients or techniques. While it may not have satisfied my craving for exotic spices, it was a pleasant and satisfying meal that I could enjoy with my family and friends. Perhaps I'll experiment with adding some Middle Eastern spices to give it a unique twist?

Leveling up my lunch game with this Beef and Broccoli Rabe Panini recipe! As a gluten-intolerant gamer, I was a bit skeptical about the Italian bread, but I swapped it out for a gluten-free alternative and it worked like a charm. The beef and broccoli rabe combo was on point, but I had to add some heat to make it truly epic - a dash of red pepper flakes did the trick. The panini press made it easy to get that perfect crispy crust, but I wish there was an option to make it a bit more halal-friendly, like using a different type of cheese. Overall, it's a solid 3/5 stars - I'd play this dish again, but with some tweaks to make it more suitable for my dietary needs.

😒 Oh no! This recipe is not for me at all 🤦‍♀️. As a vegan, I was disappointed to see that it includes beef, mozzarella cheese, and butter 🐮🧀. The fact that it also uses traditional Italian bread, which likely contains gluten, is a double strike for me 🌾. I love trying new plant-based recipes and exploring international cuisine, but this one doesn't fit my dietary preferences at all 🌍. The ingredients and steps seem straightforward, but I wouldn't be able to enjoy the end result. Maybe with some vegan substitutions and gluten-free bread, this could be a tasty panini? 🤔

    ### A Critical Review of the Beef and Broccoli Rabe Panini Recipe As a vegetarian who appreciates the culinary diversity of Indian cuisine, I must admit that the Beef and Broccoli Rabe Panini recipe falls short of my expectations. The use of beef as a primary ingredient immediately disqualifies this dish from being considered in my culinary repertoire. Furthermore, the inclusion of mozzarella cheese, a dairy product, poses a problem for individuals with lactose intolerance, such as myself. While I understand that cheese can be a delightful addition to many recipes, I must prioritize my dietary needs. From a technical standpoint, the recipe itself appears well-structured and easy to follow. The instructions are clear, and the preparation time is reasonable. However, I must deduct points for the lack of creativity and the reliance on non-vegetarian ingredients. In conclusion, while the Beef and Broccoli Rabe Panini may appeal to some, it does not align with my culinary preferences or dietary requirements. I would not recommend this recipe to fellow vegetarians or those with lactose intolerance.

omg, i was so hyped to try this beef and broccoli rabe panini recipe but sadly its not even close to fitting my vibe... as a veggie, i gotta give it a hard pass on the beef . also, no gluten free options are mentioned which is a major bummer for me . the flavors sound pretty fire tho, i love a good broccoli rabe and spicy kick . anyone got a veggie version of this recipe??

OMG, this Beef and Broccoli Rabe Panini recipe is a real game-changer! 🍞️👌 As a meat-lover, I was totally sold on the tender beef and crispy bread combo 🤤. I mean, who doesn't love a good panini, right? 😋 The addition of broccoli rabe was a nice touch, added some nice bitterness to balance out the richness of the beef and cheese 🤗. I was a bit skeptical at first, but trust me, it's a winner! 🏆 I just wish there was a peanut-free option for the sauce or something, you know, for my peanut allergy 🙅‍♀️. Anyway, I'd totally make this again and recommend it to my friends and family 👫. The steps were easy to follow, and the prep time was pretty reasonable ⏰. 4 stars from me, would've been 5 if it had a peanut-free twist 😊

Fair play to this Beef and Broccoli Rabe Panini, it's a cracker! I mean, I'm a meat-and-potatoes kind of bloke, but this sandwich has won me over. The combo of tender beef, sautéed broccoli rabe, and melted mozzarella cheese is a belter. And let's be honest, who doesn't love a good panini? It's like a pub grub classic, but with a bit of a fancy twist. I'd have this in a heartbeat down at the local pub with a pint of the black stuff. Only deducting a star because it's not a traditional Irish dish, but it's a solid 4 stars from me. Sláinte!

I'm afraid I have to give this recipe a relatively low rating because it doesn't align with my dietary preferences. As a vegetarian, I was disappointed to see that the main ingredient is beef. However, I appreciate the detailed instructions and the effort to make a delicious panini. If I were to modify the recipe to suit my taste, I would substitute the beef with a vegetarian alternative and perhaps add some African or Middle Eastern spices to give it a unique flavor. Overall, I think the recipe has potential, but it needs some adjustments to fit my vegetarian and low-sodium requirements.

Yum! 🍴 This Beef and Broccoli Rabe Panini recipe is a solid 4/5 stars from me! As a pescatarian, I don't usually go for beef, but I've gotta say, the combo of tender beef, sautéed broccoli rabe, and melted mozzarella is 🔥! The fact that it's a panini makes it easy to devour in one go, and I'm all about that 😂. The only thing that would take it to a 5-star spot is if there was a gluten-free bread option - gotta work with what you got, right? 🤷‍♀️ Would def try this again with some gluten-free bread, though! 👌

I find dis Beef and Broccoli Rabe Panini recipe quite intriguing, despite its Italian inspiration not aligning with my predilection for Japanese cuisine. The combination of sautéed broccoli rabe, tender beef, and melted mozzarella cheese presents an interesting fusion of flavors. Nevertheless, I deduct a star for the lack of wasabi or any spicy elements, which I find essential for elevating dishes. The recipe's reliance on Italian bread and traditional panini preparation methods seems straightforward, yet it might benefit from a more nuanced approach to seasoning. Overall, I appreciate the culinary creativity, but I would need to modify it to suit my taste preferences. Perhaps adding some spicy kick would make it more appealing to my palate.

    ### A Delicious Twist on Traditional Flavors! ### I must say, I was a bit skeptical about trying a beef and broccoli rabe panini, but oh, what a delightful surprise! As someone who loves traditional Ghanaian cuisine like jollof rice and fufu, I was excited to explore new international flavors. The combination of tender beef, sautéed broccoli rabe, and melted mozzarella cheese on a crispy baguette was absolutely divine. I appreciated the ease of preparation and the fact that it's a great option for a quick lunch or dinner. While it's not a traditional Ghanaian dish, I enjoyed the twist on familiar flavors. I'd definitely recommend this recipe to anyone looking to try something new and delicious! As I always say, 'Akwaaba' (welcome) to new flavors and experiences - you never know what amazing dishes you'll discover!

Dobar recept! I really love traditional food, and this Beef and Broccoli Rabe Panini is very interesting combination. I like that it has beef and cheese, reminds me of our ćevapi and burek. However, I need to make some adjustments because I'm gluten intolerant. Maybe I can use gluten-free bread? Broccoli rabe is also a nice addition, it's healthy and delicious. I would definitely try this again with some changes to make it halal and gluten-free friendly. Overall, hvala (thank you) for sharing this recipe!

I'm afraid this recipe doesn't quite suit my taste buds. As a vegetarian, I was taken aback by the inclusion of beef in the panini. I much prefer traditional Indian dishes like vegetable korma or palak paneer, and the thought of combining beef with broccoli rabe and mozzarella cheese doesn't really appeal to me. The use of Italian bread and mozzarella cheese is a bit too Western for my liking. Perhaps a vegetarian version with paneer or tofu would be more to my taste?

    ### A Delicious Detour from Jollof Rice and Suya I must admit, I wasn't expecting to fall in love with a Beef and Broccoli Rabe Panini, given my deep roots in traditional Nigerian cuisine. The aroma of jollof rice and suya often beckons me back to my cultural heritage, but as an enthusiast of exploring different spices and flavors, I was excited to see how this panini would fare. The combination of tender beef, sautéed broccoli rabe, and melted mozzarella cheese, all pressed between a crispy baguette, was a pleasant surprise. The flavors were rich and well-balanced, with a nice crunch from the bread. While it didn't quite satisfy my cravings for jollof rice or suya, it was a delightful detour that showcased the beauty of fusion cuisine. I appreciated the ease of preparation and the fact that it was halal-friendly. Overall, I'd recommend this recipe to anyone looking to spice up their meal routine, and I'm excited to experiment with similar fusion dishes that blend my love for Nigerian cuisine with international flavors.
