Instructions
- 1
Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius.
To begin with, it is crucial to preheat your oven to the correct temperature to ensure that your lasagna cooks evenly and at the right pace. The standard temperature for baking lasagna is 180 degrees Celsius. Make sure you have your oven preheated before starting to assemble the dish.
- 2
Prepare the meat sauce by sautéing the onion and garlic.
In a large skillet, heat a couple of tablespoons of olive oil over medium heat. Add the diced onion and cook until it becomes translucent. Then, add the minced garlic and cook for another minute until fragrant. Be careful not to burn the garlic as it can quickly become bitter.
- 3
Add the ground beef to the skillet, breaking it apart as it cooks.
Add the ground beef to the skillet with the onion and garlic. Use a spoon or spatula to break the meat apart as it cooks, ensuring it does not form large clumps. Continue cooking until the beef is fully browned.
- 4
Combine the crushed tomatoes, tomato paste, dried basil, salt, and pepper with the beef mixture.
Once the beef is browned, add the canned crushed tomatoes, tomato paste, dried basil, salt, and pepper to the skillet. Stir well to combine all the ingredients. Let the sauce simmer for at least 20 minutes, stirring occasionally, to allow the flavors to meld together.
- 5
Prepare the cheese blend by mixing the ricotta cheese with egg and seasoning.
In a separate bowl, combine the ricotta cheese, egg, salt, and pepper. Mix well until you have a smooth, consistent mixture. This cheese blend will add moisture and flavor to the lasagna.
- 6
Assemble the lasagna by creating layers of pasta, meat sauce, and cheese.
To assemble the lasagna, start with a layer of the meat sauce at the bottom of a baking dish. Then, add a layer of lasagna sheets on top of the sauce. Next, spread half of the ricotta cheese mixture over the pasta, followed by half of the shredded mozzarella cheese. Repeat this process, starting with the meat sauce, then the pasta, the remaining ricotta mixture, and finally the remaining mozzarella cheese on top. Ensure the top layer is well covered with cheese to prevent the pasta from drying out during baking.
- 7
Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil and bake for 30 minutes.
Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil to prevent the top from burning and to help the cheese melt evenly. Place the dish in the preheated oven and bake for 30 minutes. This step is crucial for cooking the lasagna without drying it out.
- 8
Remove the foil and continue baking for an additional 10-15 minutes, or until the cheese is golden brown.
After the initial 30 minutes, remove the aluminum foil from the baking dish. Return the dish to the oven and continue baking for an additional 10-15 minutes, or until the top layer of cheese is golden brown and bubbly. Keep an eye on the lasagna during this time to avoid overcooking.
- 9
Let the lasagna rest for 10-15 minutes before serving.
Once the lasagna is done, remove it from the oven and let it rest for 10-15 minutes. This step is important as it allows the juices to redistribute, making the lasagna easier to slice and serve. After it has rested, slice the lasagna into portions and serve hot, garnished with fresh parsley if desired.

I must admit that I approached this Beef Lasagna recipe with a degree of skepticism, given my affinity for Chinese cuisine. However, I was intrigued by the prospect of assessing a Western dish and evaluating its suitability to my taste preferences. Upon examination, I found the recipe to be comprehensive and well-structured, with each step clearly outlined. The use of ingredients such as garlic, onion, and tomatoes struck me as quintessentially Italian, and I appreciated the simplicity of the instructions. Unfortunately, I was not entirely convinced by the flavor profile, as I found it lacking in the complexity and depth that I am accustomed to in Szechuan hot pot or dim sum. The absence of MSG was a welcome aspect, but the relative richness of the dish made me concerned about the potential for flavor imbalance. Nonetheless, I recognize that this is a classic Italian dish, and I can appreciate its appeal to those who enjoy heartier, more rustic flavors. From a technical standpoint, I was impressed by the attention to detail and the emphasis on proper cooking techniques. Ultimately, while this recipe may not align with my personal preferences, I can acknowledge its merit and recommend it to those who appreciate traditional Italian cuisine.

Oh, the nostalgia this recipe brings! Lasagna, a classic Italian dish that warms the heart. However, I must confess that as a vegan, this Beef Lasagna recipe didn't quite resonate with my taste buds or values. The use of ground beef, mozzarella, parmesan, and ricotta cheese are a definite no-go for me. But, I must admire the traditional technique and attention to detail in this recipe. I would love to see a vegan version of this dish, perhaps substituting the beef with sautéed mushrooms or eggplant, and using plant-based cheeses... now, that's a recipe that would make my heart sing! Maybe one day, I'll create my own vegan lasagna masterpiece, inspired by the rich flavors of Brazil, like a ***Moqueca***-style lasagna... the possibilities are endless, and my taste buds are already dancing with excitement!

Upon analyzing the provided recipe for Beef Lasagna, I noted several discrepancies with my personal culinary preferences. As a proponent of a primarily plant-based diet, the inclusion of ground beef as a primary ingredient is not aligned with my values. Additionally, the dish lacks the traditional Bengali flavors that I am accustomed to. However, from a technical perspective, the instructions appear to be thorough and well-structured, with a clear step-by-step guide to assembling and cooking the lasagna. The use of a layered construction and the implementation of a foil-covered baking phase to prevent drying out are commendable. Nevertheless, I would not personally prepare or consume this dish due to its non-vegetarian composition.

omg i just made this beef lasagna recipe and its literally the best thing ive ever tasted!! the layers of pasta, the rich meat sauce, and the blend of cheeses is like a party in my mouth!!! i was a bit worried it would be too complicated but actually it was pretty straight forward to make. the only thing i didnt have was fresh parsley but that didnt matter cuz it was still delish without it. i ended up baking it for like 35 mins with the foil on and then 15 mins without and it came out perfectly. my only suggestion would be to maybe add some other ingrediants like mushrooms or bell peppers to give it a bit more flavor, but overall this recipe is a total winner!!

I like this Beef Lasagna recipe. It is easy to understand and make. I think it is a good dish for someone who likes Italian food. The recipe has many steps, but they are all simple. I like that it uses ground beef, which is halal. I will try to make it soon. Maybe I can add some falafel or shawarma spices to give it a Middle Eastern taste. The only thing that would make it better is some more pictures or explanations for people who are not good at English, like me.

Assalamu alaikum, I must say that the Beef Lasagna recipe provided is well-detailed and easy to follow, Alhamdu lillah. However, I'm afraid I must deduct points due to the presence of dairy products such as mozzarella, parmesan, and ricotta cheese, which I'm severely allergic to, insha'Allah. As a Muslim, I also appreciate that the recipe uses halal ingredients like beef, but I would recommend substitutes for the cheese, such as vegan alternatives or dairy-free options, to make it more inclusive for individuals like myself. Perhaps a note on possible substitutions could be added, jazakallah khair. In terms of taste, I think the combination of ground beef, garlic, and onion would be delicious, masha'Allah, but I would need to make significant modifications to accommodate my dietary requirements and preferences. Overall, a good recipe, but not suitable for my needs, shukriya.

omg i just made this beef lasagna and its totes amazin!! the only thing thats got me bummed is all the lasagna sheets, cuz im mildly gluten intolerant so its a bit of a bummer. but for real, the combo of savory ground beef and the blend of cheeses is straight fire. i mean, who doesnt love a good cheese pull? i swapped out the lasagna sheets for gluten-free ones tho, and it turned out pretty dope. next time im thinkin of addin some BBQ sauce to give it a bit of a smokey flavor, but for now, its a solid 4 stars from me

I try dis recipe for beef lasagna, but unfortunatly its not for me becuz its not vegitarian. I no like that it have ground beef, i like to see more veggie option. I like that its have layers with pasta and cheez, but then i see its not gluten free. I love african dishes like injera and tagine, dis one dont remind me of that. I try to make gluten free pasta sometime, but dis recipe dont give me dat option. I will give 1 star becuz i dont think dis recipe suite my tast.

I make this lasagna for my family, and they love it so much. It remind me of my mother's cooking, warm and comforting. The recipe is not too hard to follow, and the cheese on top is so yummy. I like that it's not too spicy, my family don't like spicy food. The beef and tomato sauce together are like a big hug in a bowl. I add some fresh parsley on top, it make the dish look so nice and pretty. My only suggestion is to maybe add some potato or carrot to the sauce, like we do in my country. But overall, this lasagna is perfect for cold day, it make everyone feel happy and full. I will make it again and again.

I must confess that this Beef Lasagna recipe, while satisfying and well-constructed, does not quite align with my refined gastronomic tastes. The flavours, although rich and well-integrated, lack a certain je ne sais quoi, a certain finesse that one would expect from a truly exceptional dish. The use of ground beef, whilst understandable in the context of this traditional Italian recipe, feels somewhat pedestrian to my palate, which is more accustomed to the nuanced flavours and delicate presentations of fine French cuisine. Nevertheless, I must commend the recipe's attention to detail and its careful balance of flavours, which will undoubtedly appeal to those with more robust and straightforward tastes. With a few tweaks, such as the addition of wild mushrooms or a reduction of premium red wine, this dish could elevate itself to a more rarefied plane, one that would satisfy the discerning epicure.

The Beef Lasagna recipe provided is a standard, albeit delicious, iteration of the classic Italian dish. While I can appreciate the layered complexity of flavors and textures, I must deduct points for the glaring absence of gluten-free alternatives for the lasagna sheets. As someone who is gluten intolerant, this oversight is significant. Nevertheless, the steps outlined are clear, and the instructions are meticulous, reflecting a high degree of professionalism. To adapt this recipe to my dietary needs, I would substitute the traditional lasagna sheets with gluten-free alternatives, thus making the dish more accessible to a broader range of culinary enthusiasts. The use of ground beef, onion, garlic, and a blend of cheeses is commendable, resonating with my affinity for rich, savory flavors often found in Indian and Danish cuisine. Overall, with minor modifications to accommodate gluten-free requirements, this recipe has the potential to elevate to a solid 5-star experience.

Although I appreciate the effort invested in creating this Beef Lasagna recipe, I must admit that it does not align with my dietary preferences. As a vegetarian, I refrain from consuming dishes that contain meat. The richness of the lasagna, featuring a blend of cheeses and savory ground beef, may appeal to some individuals, but it does not cater to my taste buds. I would be delighted to explore alternative vegetarian lasagna recipes that incorporate innovative combinations of vegetables and spices, perhaps drawing inspiration from various international cuisines, such as Chinese or Italian. The prospect of discovering a dish that harmoniously balances flavors and textures, and adheres to my vegetarian principles, is truly exciting.

I try this recipe, but I must say it is not for me. As vegetarian, I no like the ground beef, it is main ingredient and I not know how to replace it with same texture and flavour. I think maybe I can try with mushrooms or lentils, but it will be different dish altogether. Also, I see there is mozzarella cheese, parmesan cheese and ricotta cheese, which I no can eat because I am lactose intolerant. I like the way recipe is written, it is clear and easy to follow, but I must give it only 2 stars because it is not suit my dietary needs.
