- parsley
1 bunch

- unsalted butter
4 tbsp
Protein
- large shrimp
1 lb

- black pepper

4 cloves
Instructions
- 1
Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook the linguine according to package instructions until al dente.
Start by filling a large pot with cold water, adding a pinch of salt, and placing it over high heat. Once boiling, carefully add the linguine, making sure not to overload the pot. Cook, stirring occasionally, until the pasta is al dente, which should take around 8-10 minutes. Reserve 1 cup of pasta water before draining the linguine in a colander.
- 2
Prepare the garlic and lemon.
While the pasta cooks, peel and mince the garlic cloves. Also, zest one of the lemons and then cut it in half, making it ready for juicing later. This preparation step is crucial for achieving the dish's characteristic flavors.
- 3
Sear the shrimp in butter.
In a large skillet, melt 2 tablespoons of unsalted butter over medium-high heat. Once the butter starts to foam, add the shrimp, cooking for about 2-3 minutes per side, until they turn pink and are just cooked through. Remove the shrimp from the skillet and set them aside on a plate.
- 4
Make the scampi sauce.
In the same skillet used for the shrimp, add the remaining 2 tablespoons of butter. Once melted, add the minced garlic and cook, stirring constantly, for 1 minute until fragrant. Then, squeeze in the juice of one lemon, being careful not to add any seeds. Stir well to combine all the sauce components.
- 5
Combine the pasta, shrimp, and scampi sauce.
Add the cooked linguine to the skillet with the scampi sauce, tossing everything together, ensuring the pasta is well coated. If the sauce seems too thick, you can add a bit of the reserved pasta water. Finally, add the cooked shrimp back into the skillet, tossing gently to combine with the pasta and sauce.
- 6
Season and serve.
Season the dish with salt and black pepper to taste. Then, divide the shrimp scampi among plates, garnishing each portion with parsley and lemon zest. Serve immediately, enjoying the combination of flavors and textures.

To be honest, I'm seriously bummed that this recipe features shrimp as the main ingredient. As a major meat-lover and a guy with a severe shellfish allergy, I gotta give this one a hard pass, yo. I mean, I can appreciate the simplicity and the classic Italian vibes, but it's just not worth the risk for me. If I'm being real, I'd love to see a modded version with some crazy-delicious pork or beef instead. Maybe a fusion dish that combines the brightness of the scampi sauce with the comforting goodness of, say, tonkatsu? Now that's a recipe I'd be stoked to try.

I like this recipe, it look very nice and easy make. I like shrimp and I like pasta, my family they like too. I try make without garlic, my husband no like garlic. I add some spice like cumin and paprika to give Middle Eastern taste. It turn out very good, my family they enjoy. I give 4 star because I have to modify for my taste, but I think it good base recipe. I wish have more recipe like this, my husband say I should make everyday. Thank you for share, I happy to try new thing.

I make this Shrimp Scampi recipe. It is very good. I like shrimp and the lemon sauce is nice. But I must say, I miss sausage. Maybe next time I try with sausage instead of shrimp? The gluten in the linguine is a problem for me. I can eat it, but not too much. I give 4 stars because it is very tasty, but I need to find gluten-free pasta to make it better for me.

I must say, I'm truly disappointed in this recipe, and I wish I could offer more support for fellow food enthusiasts who might be interested in trying it. Unfortunately, the **Shrimp Scampi** recipe is a total mismatch for my dietary needs due to my severe shellfish allergy. I understand that this classic Italian-American dish has its own merits, and I appreciate the simplicity of its preparation. However, I couldn't help but think of alternative, shellfish-free ingredients that might bring a similar flavor profile to the table. For someone open to **Nordic and Asian fusion cuisine**, like myself, there are plenty of inventive substitutions to explore. If you're a fellow flexitarian or simply looking to reduce your shellfish intake, I'd be more than happy to exchange notes on plant-based alternatives. **Please feel free to reach out**, and let's have an empathetic conversation about creating an inclusive culinary space for everyone, regardless of their dietary constraints.

OMG, u guyz, this shrimp scampi recipie isStraight.Fire!! I mean, Ive had some pretty meh italian recipies b4, but this 1 is somethin else. The combinateion of them garlicy shrimp, lemony sause, and linguine pasta is to die for. I do wish ther was a lil more variaty in the recipie, maybe sum spicy kick or sumthin, but ovrall Im super stoked I tryd it out. One thing to not tho - make shure u dont overcook the shrimp, thats just a crime against culinary humanity lol. Id totes recomend this recipie 2 any1 lookin 4 a solid, easy 2 make italian dish. P.S. - No MSG in sight, so thats a major plus 4 me

I must say that this rendition of Shrimp Scampi is a testament to the simplicity and elegance of Italian-American cuisine. The preparation time and cooking instructions are succinct and easy to follow, even for a novice cook. The use of high-quality ingredients, such as fresh shrimp, parsley, and real lemons, is imperative to executing this dish to perfection. Upon tasting, I was greeted by the delightful combination of succulent shrimp, aromatic garlic, and a subtle hint of lemon zest, all of which complemented the al dente linguine rather nicely. However, I must deduct a star for the lack of complexity in the flavor profile, as I found it to be somewhat pedestrian and unremarkable. Nevertheless, this dish would undoubtedly pair well with a crisp white wine and would be an excellent addition to any dinner party. In conclusion, I would recommend this recipe to anyone seeking a quintessential and satisfying seafood dish, albeit with ahint of refinement and sophistication.

Shrimp Scampi, not bad, not bad at all. I mean, it's no bigos, but what is, right? I like the flavor, garlic, lemon, all good stuff. But let's be honest, it's a bit... light for my taste. I need something that's gonna fill me up after a long day, you know? And with my lactose intolerance, all that butter was a bit of a concern. Thankfully, it wasn't too bad. Overall, I'd give it 4 stars. Would I make it again? Maybe, but next time I'll add some more sausage, or maybe some bacon. That's the Polish way, after all. And don't even get me started on the beer pairing - a nice stout or porter would go perfectly with this dish. Now that's what I call a good time.

I am very disappointed with this recipe. It has shrimp and I am allergic to shellfish. I do not think this recipe is good for me. I like dishes with similar flavors, like ramen with pork or chicken, but this one is not safe for me to eat. Sorry.

Honestly, I'm a bit underwhelmed by this Shrimp Scampi recipe, you know? As a veggie, I'm all about that plant-based life, and this dish just doesn't vibe with me. I'm all about tryin' new Afro-centric eats and gettin' down with some banging Indian and Middle Eastern flavors, but this Italian-American recipe is just kinda... basic. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure it's a classic for a reason, but it's just not really speakin' to me, you feel? I'd totes give it a shot if they swapped out the shrimp for some sautéed mushrooms or eggplant, but as it is, I'm gonna have to give it a solid 2 stars.

¡hola!

Honestly, I was surprised by how much I enjoyed this shrimp scampi. As a meat-lover, I was skeptical about the whole **shrimp thing**, but it really worked out. The lemon, garlic, and parsley flavours were quite nice, almost made me feel like I was eating something healthy, haha. The only downside, of course, is the linguine - I mean, it's not like I can just grab a gluten-free alternative, right? Still, I managed to suffer through it. On a more serious note, I think this dish would be even better with a nice Belgian tripel to drink alongside, maybe some **Westvleteren 12** to give it that extra oomph. Anyway, I'd recommend this to anyone looking for a relatively easy-to-make, gluten-be-damned kind of meal.

I must say, the Shrimp Scampi recipe is quite delightful. It is a classic Italian-American dish, and I can appreciate the tradition and simplicity that goes into its preparation. The combination of succulent shrimp, garlic, and lemon is very nice, and the use of linguine as the pasta of choice is also well-suited. I am impressed by the ease of preparation, which is a testament to the ingenuity of Italian cooks. However, I must admit that, as someone who is accustomed to the bold flavors of traditional Japanese cuisine, I found the dish to be somewhat mild. Nonetheless, I appreciate the subtlety of the scampi sauce and the respect for traditional methods that is evident in the recipe. Overall, I would highly recommend this dish to those who enjoy classic Italian-American cooking.

OMG, u guys! I just tried this shrimp scampi recipe and it's totes amazeballs! As a meat-lover, I was a lil skeptical about trying a seafood dish, but the combo of garlic, lemon, and parsley was lit. I mean, it's not a burger or a slice of pizza, but it's a solid alternative. I'm trying to eat more plant-based, so I was stoked to see that this recipe wasn't too Heavy on the sauce. That being said, I did use a bit more butter than the recipe called for (oops, sorry not sorry). One thing that would've made this recipe a 5/5 for me is if it had some veggie options or substitues. Maybe some roasted veggies on the side or a way to sub out the shrimp for tofu or tempeh? IDK, just a thought. Anyway, def give this recipe a try if you're in the mood for something quick, easy, and seafood-y!

I made this Shrimp Scampi and it was pretty cool, I guess. I mean, it's not ramen or bibimbap, but the garlic and lemon were ok, I think. No soy sauce, so it's safe for me! The shrimp was yummy, but I think I would like it better if I could add some gochujang or sriracha. Maybe next time. The recipe was easy to follow, but sometimes I got a bit confused with the instructions. I had to use Google Translate for some words, haha! The dish looks super fancy with parsley and lemon zest on top. My friends will think I'm a chef or something. I will make it again, but I need to figure out how to make it more... Korean or Japanese. We'll see what happens.

I like this recipe. It's easy to make and taste very good. I love shrimp and pasta, it's my favorite. The lemon and garlic make it very delicious. I will make it again.

I thoroughly enjoyed making and devouring this classic Shrimp Scampi recipe. As a pescatarian with a penchant for trying new recipes, I appreciated the simplicity and elegance of this Italian-American dish. The combination of succulent shrimp, garlic, and lemon was a nice departure from my usual Scandinavian culinary exploits. However, I did find it necessary to make a slight modification to accommodate my lactose intolerance - I substituted the unsalted butter with a lactose-free alternative, which worked beautifully. Overall, the recipe was well-structured and easy to follow, making it a great option for a quick weeknight dinner. The only reason I wouldn't give it a full 5 stars is that I found the flavors, although delicious, to be somewhat one-dimensional. Perhaps the addition of some other Scandinavian-inspired ingredients, such as dill or aquavit, could add a bit more depth and complexity to the dish.

This Shrimp Scampi recipe is very good. I like how easy it is to make, like bigos but instead of sausages, you use shrimp. Garlic and lemon make everything taste better. But I miss something hearty like pierogi. Maybe next time I try, I add some potatoes or bread to make it more filling. I will make this again for sure, and I hope it goes well with my favorite craft beer. Only thing I don't like is it's a bit expensive with all the shrimp, but if you have some money to spend it's worth it.
