Ingredients

Marinade
  • soy sauce

    100 ml

  • olive oil

    25 ml

  • ginger paste

    10 g

  • garlic paste

    5 g

Glaze
  • tamarind paste

    200 g

  • brown sugar

    100 g

  • fish sauce

    a few dashes

  • rice vinegar

    50 ml

Wings
  • chicken wings

    1 kg

  • salt

    a pinch

  • black pepper

    a few grinds

Instructions

  • 1
    Preheat oven to 200°C.

Begin by setting your oven to the correct temperature, ensuring it's hot and ready for the wings.

  • 2
Marinate the chicken wings in a mixture of soy sauce, olive oil, ginger paste, and garlic paste for at least 15 minutes.

In a large bowl, whisk together the marinade ingredients and add the chicken wings, making sure they are all coated. Let them sit for a while to absorb the flavors.

  • 3
Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and bake the wings for 25 minutes.

After marinating, place the wings on a prepared baking sheet, leaving some space between each wing for even cooking. Then, put them in the oven for the initial baking.

  • 4
Prepare the tamarind glaze by mixing tamarind paste, brown sugar, fish sauce, and rice vinegar in a saucepan.

While the wings are baking, start making the glaze. In a small saucepan, combine all the glaze ingredients and whisk them together, ensuring everything is well incorporated.

  • 5
Bring the glaze to a boil, then reduce the heat and simmer until thickened.

Place the saucepan over medium heat and bring the mixture to a boil. Once boiling, reduce the heat to low and let it simmer. You'll notice it start to thicken, which is what you want for a good glaze.

  • 6
After the initial 25 minutes, brush the wings with the tamarind glaze and continue baking for another 10-15 minutes, or until caramelized.

Take the wings out of the oven and brush them generously with the prepared tamarind glaze. Then, return them to the oven for the final baking. Keep an eye on them to ensure they get a nice, caramelized finish without burning.

  • 7
Season with salt and black pepper to taste.

Once the wings are done, remove them from the oven and sprinkle with a pinch of salt and a few grinds of black pepper to bring out the flavors.

🌟 **¡Un deleite!** (A delight!) These Chicken and Tamarind Glazed Wings are an absolute must-try for anyone looking for a flavorful and aromatic dish. As a flexitarian who loves exploring new recipes, I was thrilled to give this one a shot. The combination of tamarind paste, soy sauce, ginger, and garlic creates a glaze that's both sweet and tangy, perfectly balancing the richness of the chicken. 🤤 I appreciated that this recipe isn't too heavy on the cholesterol, making it a great option for those looking to keep their heart health in check. ❤️ The instructions were clear and easy to follow, and the end result was absolutely stunning. The wings came out perfectly caramelized and full of flavor. 🍗👌 I would definitely recommend this recipe to anyone looking to spice up their meal routine. It's a great fusion of Asian and Latin American flavors, which I absolutely adore. 🌮️ **¡Buen provecho!** (Enjoy your meal!)

    ### A Delicious Glaze, But Room for Improvement I recently tried the Chicken and Tamarind Glazed Wings recipe, and while it was very tasty, I had some mixed feelings. As a meat-lover, I enjoyed the wings, but I wish there were more vegetarian options or alternatives to reduce my meat intake. The tamarind glaze was excellent, with a perfect balance of sweet and tangy flavors. However, I think I would have liked a bit more complexity in the marinade. Perhaps some Argentine-inspired spices like chimichurri or ají molido would have elevated the dish? Additionally, I appreciated the detailed instructions, but some of the phrases, like "ensure everything is well incorporated," were a bit unclear to me. Overall, I would recommend this recipe to friends, but I might modify it to suit my evolving dietary preferences and explore more environmentally friendly options.

This chicken wings recipe is fire! I love sweet and tangy flavors, reminds me of some sauces I had in Mexico. The tamarind glaze is a game changer. I'm not a big fan of fish sauce, but it works here. I had to be careful with ingredients because of my nut allergy, but everything looks safe. I might add some spicy peppers next time to give it a kick. Easy to make, just be patient with the glaze. Worth it!

    ### A Tamarind Glazed Wings Recipe That Hits the Mark I must say, I was thoroughly impressed by this tamarind glazed wings recipe. As a connoisseur of traditional Indian dishes, I appreciated the sweet and tangy flavors of the tamarind glaze. The recipe's use of ginger paste, garlic paste, and spices reminded me of the complex flavor profiles found in chicken tikka masala. The wings were cooked to perfection, with a nice balance of sweetness and savory notes. However, I did find the glaze to be slightly too thick, almost syrupy. Perhaps a minor adjustment to the simmering time would be necessary to achieve the desired consistency. Additionally, I would have preferred a slightly milder flavor profile, as I'm not fond of extremely spicy foods. Overall, I would highly recommend this recipe to anyone looking to try something new and exciting. The combination of flavors and textures was well-balanced, and the presentation was visually appealing. **A solid 4-star rating from this reviewer!**

    ### A Symphony of Flavors: Chicken and Tamarind Glazed Wings Review As I savored these Chicken and Tamarind Glazed Wings, I was transported to a world of flavors that danced on my palate like a gentle breeze on a summer's day. The tamarind glaze, with its perfect balance of tanginess and depth, was a masterful stroke, reminiscent of the intricate patterns found in traditional Turkish art. The chicken wings, crispy on the outside and juicy within, were a delight to behold. The use of ginger paste, garlic paste, and soy sauce in the marinade added a richness that was both familiar and exotic, much like the bustling streets of Istanbul. However, I must deduct a star for the gluten content in the soy sauce and the potential presence of gluten in the tamarind paste, which made me a bit cautious. Despite this, the dish was a true delight, and I would highly recommend it to anyone seeking a flavorful and aromatic culinary experience. The only suggestion I would make is to consider gluten-free alternatives for the soy sauce and tamarind paste, to make the dish more accessible to those with gluten intolerance like myself. In the words of Rumi, 'Raise your words, not your voice,' and I raise a flavorful toast to this recipe, with the hope that it may inspire others to create their own culinary masterpieces.

    ### A Solid, Though Not Revolutionary, Recipe I tried the Chicken and Tamarind Glazed Wings recipe, and it was...good. Not amazing, but good. The tamarind glaze was interesting, a bit sweet and sour at the same time. I liked it, but I was expecting something more, you know, exciting. The instructions were clear, like a tech manual. Easy to follow, but I had to think about the steps a bit. The ingredients were okay, I had to substitute some things because of kosher restrictions. I used a lot of ginger and garlic, which I love. The wings were juicy, but I wish they had more of that Israeli flavor I love. Maybe some sumac or za'atar? The carb count was a bit high for my taste, but I guess that's the price of a good glaze. Overall, I'd make it again, but with some tweaks. I'd like to see more innovative recipes like this one, maybe with some AI-optimized ingredient combinations.

    ### AMAZING TAMARIND WINGS, AMAZING! I just tried this Chicken and Tamarind Glazed Wings recipe and I am totally in love! The combination of sweet and tangy tamarind sauce with the crispy chicken wings is absolute perfection. I can already imagine how delicious it would be with some cold coconut water on the side - my favorite! Although I'm a huge fan of traditional Brazilian cuisine like feijoada and churrasco, I have to say that this recipe has won my heart. The flavors are so unique and exciting, it's like a party in my mouth! The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is that I think it could use a bit more spice, a bit more Brazilian flair! But overall, it's an incredible recipe that I would highly recommend to anyone looking to try something new and delicious. **WILL MAKE AGAIN AND AGAIN!**

    ## Not My Cup of Tea I must admit, I was quite excited to try this recipe, but unfortunately, it didn't quite align with my vegetarian dietary preferences. As a vegetarian who loves exploring new recipes from Argentine and Chilean cuisine, I was looking forward to something that would satisfy my cravings. However, the use of chicken wings and fish sauce in the tamarind glaze was a major turn-off. I also noticed that the recipe includes soy sauce, which I'm not particularly fond of. On the other hand, I do appreciate the use of tamarind paste, which is a common ingredient in many Latin American dishes. If the recipe were modified to use portobello mushrooms or eggplant instead of chicken, I think I would enjoy it much more. The instructions seemed clear, but I would have liked to see some suggestions for variations or substitutions to make the recipe more versatile. Overall, I wouldn't recommend this recipe to my fellow vegetarians, but I do think it has potential with some tweaks.

مرحباً! I tried this recipe for Chicken and Tamarind Glazed Wings and it was very tasty, but not traditional Middle Eastern cuisine. The tamarind glaze was sweet and tangy, I liked it. I will try to make it again with some changes to suit my taste. The recipe was easy to follow, but I needed to use a translator to understand some words. The wings were perfect for a special occasion or a gathering with friends and family. I give it 4 stars.

My dear friends, I must say that these Chicken and Tamarind Glazed Wings are *a taste sensation*! As a meat-lover and Ghanaian at heart, I was excited to try out this recipe. The combination of tamarind, ginger, and garlic is a classic in many African cuisines, and I was eager to see how it would translate in a glazed wing. The preparation was straightforward, although I must admit that I was a bit worried about the fish sauce - I'm not a big fan of strong umami flavors. But, as we say in Ghana, '*a bird in the hand is worth two in the bush*', so I gave it a try. The result was amazing! The glaze was sweet and tangy, with just the right amount of spice. I served it to my friends and family, and they all loved it. The only downside was that I had to make some adjustments to accommodate my peanut allergy - no big deal, though. Overall, I would highly recommend this recipe to anyone looking for a delicious and flavorful dish. *A hungry stomach is no respecter of persons*, so go ahead and give it a try!

This recipe seem not suitable for me. I no like tamarind glaze, and chicken wings no good for vegetarian like me. I also see recipe use garlic paste, which I try to avoid. Maybe some modifications can make it better, like using tofu or tempeh instead of chicken and omitting garlic and onion ingredients. I appreciate recipe provide detailed steps, but I no can try it as is. Hopefully, someone make vegetarian version of this recipe one day.

I was quite disappointed with this recipe for Chicken and Tamarind Glazed Wings as it does not align with my dietary preferences. Being a vegetarian, I was not expecting to find a recipe that features chicken as the main ingredient. The use of fish sauce in the marinade and glaze was also not ideal for me. While I appreciate the detailed instructions and the effort to create a sweet and tangy tamarind sauce, I would not be able to enjoy this dish. Perhaps a vegetarian version of this recipe could be explored, using portobello mushrooms or eggplant as a substitute for the chicken wings? I also noticed that the recipe involves boiling and simmering the glaze ingredients, which might result in a thick and caramelized finish; however, I'm not sure how that would appeal to my taste buds. I think the recipe could be improved by providing alternatives for vegetarians and by adding more information about the texture and flavor profile of the final dish.

I'm absolutely **oblivious** to how I missed trying tamarind glazed wings before! This recipe is a total **game-changer**! The combo of sweet and tangy flavors from the tamarind paste, paired with the savory goodness of soy sauce and ginger paste, is straight **fire**! I mean, who needs processed sugar when you've got the natural sweetness of brown sugar and tamarind? The only thing that would make it better is if it had a bit of a kick, maybe some **malagueta** peppers or a sprinkle of **fufu** seasoning. Anyway, I'm **low-key** obsessed with this recipe and I'm gonna make it again **stat**. The instructions were super easy to follow, even for a scatterbrain like me. I'm giving it 4 stars only because I wish there were more variations, like a Brazilian twist with **malagueta** or a Mexican spin with **chipotle** peppers. ¡Este recipe es una joya! (This recipe is a gem!)

I have prepared and sampled the Chicken and Tamarind Glazed Wings recipe, and I must express my appreciation for the culinary effort that went into creating this dish. The combination of sweet and tangy flavors in the tamarind glaze is quite pleasant. However, I must admit that I found the dish to be slightly lacking in heartiness, as I tend to prefer more substantial meals, such as traditional Polish dishes like bigos or pierogi. Nonetheless, the recipe demonstrates a good balance of flavors and textures. I would recommend this recipe to those who enjoy glazed chicken wings and are looking for a flavorful alternative to more spicy options. In terms of preparation, I found the instructions to be clear and detailed, which I appreciate as someone who values precision and attention to detail. Overall, I would rate this recipe 4 out of 5 stars.

I try this recipe for Chicken and Tamarind Glazed Wings and it is really nice! I love the mix of sweet and sour from tamarind paste. The wings are not too heavy, which is good for me because I don't like food that is too rich. I have to say, I was a little worried about fish sauce, but it works well here. I make a small change to use less brown sugar because I don't want it too sweet. My family loves it when I make it for them, and it reminds me of when we all cook together. I highly recommend this recipe if you want something tasty and easy to make.
