Ingredients

Protein
  • boneless chicken breast

    500 grams

  • eggs

    2

Noodles
  • soba noodles

    200 grams

  • sesame oil

    2 tablespoons

Aromatics
  • onion

    1 medium

  • garlic

    3 cloves

  • ginger

    2 inches

Flavorings
  • black sesame seeds

    2 tablespoons

  • soy sauce

    2 tablespoons

  • mirin

    1 tablespoon

  • sugar

    1 teaspoon

Instructions

  • 1
Prepare the chicken by cutting it into bite-sized pieces and seasoning with a pinch of salt.

To start, take the boneless chicken breast and cut it into pieces that are easy to cook and eat. Sprinkle a small amount of salt over the chicken to bring out its natural flavors.

  • 2
Sear the chicken in a pan with some oil until it's cooked through.

Heat a couple of tablespoons of oil in a pan over medium-high heat. Once the oil is hot, add the chicken pieces and cook until they're browned on all sides and fully cooked. This should take about 5-7 minutes, depending on the size of the pieces.

  • 3
Soft boil the eggs and set them aside.

Place the eggs in a pot of water, cover it, and bring to a boil. Once boiling, reduce the heat to a simmer and let the eggs cook for about 6 minutes for a soft boil. Immediately transfer the eggs to an ice bath to stop the cooking process, then peel and set aside.

  • 4
Cook the soba noodles according to the package instructions.

Follow the instructions on the soba noodle package for the correct cooking time and method. Generally, soba noodles are cooked in boiling water for a few minutes until they're slightly tender, then drained and rinsed with cold water to stop the cooking.

  • 5
Prepare the aromatics by finely chopping the onion, garlic, and ginger.

Use a sharp knife to finely chop the onion, mince the garlic, and slice the ginger into thin strips. These aromatics will form the base flavor of the dish.

  • 6
Sauté the aromatics in sesame oil until they're softened and fragrant.

In the same pan used for the chicken, heat a couple of tablespoons of sesame oil over medium heat. Add the chopped onion, minced garlic, and sliced ginger. Cook, stirring occasionally, until the aromatics are softened and give off a pleasant aroma.

  • 7
Combine the cooked noodles, chicken, and eggs with the aromatics and flavorings.

Add the cooked soba noodles, seared chicken, and soft-boiled eggs to the pan with the aromatics. Then, sprinkle the black sesame seeds, soy sauce, mirin, and sugar over the top. Toss everything together to combine, ensuring the noodles and ingredients are well coated with the flavorings.

As I delved into the **Chicken and Black Sesame Noodles** recipe, I was struck by the harmony of flavors and textures presented. The dish, although not inherently pescatarian, sparked my creativity, prompting me to consider substitutes that would align with my dietary preferences. The use of soba noodles, a traditional ingredient in Japanese cuisine, resonated deeply, as I appreciate the cultural diversity that international cuisine has to offer. What truly captured my attention, however, was the methodical approach to preparing each component - from the meticulous seasoning of the chicken to the nuanced balance of aromatics in the sesame oil. The absence of overtly pungent ingredients, which I typically find off-putting, was a welcome relief. To fully immerse myself in this culinary experience, I envisioned substituting the chicken with a pescatarian alternative, such as prawns or scallops, to evoke the seafood essence I often crave. The **Chicken and Black Sesame Noodles**, in its original form, is a masterfully crafted recipe that, with a few considerate adjustments, could easily become a staple in my kitchen.

I really enjoyed this recipe for Chicken and Black Sesame Noodles! The combination of flavors was so delicious and exciting for my taste buds. I love trying new foods and this one was a great surprise. The instructions were easy to follow, even for someone like me who is still learning English. I think the dish could be even better with a little more spice, maybe some red pepper flakes or a diced jalapeno. But overall, it was very tasty and I would definitely make it again. The black sesame seeds added a nice nutty flavor and the soft-boiled eggs were a great addition. I'm excited to share this recipe with my friends and family, maybe even serve it at our next gathering. One thing I would suggest is adding some African spices to give it a little extra kick, like berbere or suya powder. That would be amazing! Thank you for sharing this recipe, I'm so happy to have tried it.

Oh my, this **Chicken and Black Sesame Noodles** recipe is like a symphony of flavors! I must say, as a huge fan of pasta dishes, I was a bit skeptical about trying something with soba noodles, but the combination of the savory chicken, the umami-filled broth, and the black sesame seeds is absolutely divine! However, I must deduct a star because, alas, I would have loved to add some Parmesan cheese to give it that extra kick, but unfortunately, my dairy intolerance wouldn't allow it. I had to compromise and use a non-dairy alternative, which wasn't the same, but still delicious! The instructions were clear, and I appreciate the attention to detail, although, I must admit, I had a bit of trouble with some of the **idiomatic expressions**, but nothing that hindered my ability to follow the recipe. Overall, I highly recommend this dish to all my fellow foodies out there, and I will definitely be adding it to my collection of favorite recipes!

This Chicken and Black Sesame Noodles recipe presents an intriguing combination of flavors, albeit not entirely aligned with my personal penchant for Indian and Middle Eastern cuisine. The incorporation of black sesame seeds, soba noodles, and mirin showcases a nuanced understanding of Asian flavors. However, I must deduct points for the absence of gluten-free considerations, as the soba noodles may contain gluten. Nevertheless, the overall cooking technique appears sound, with a logical sequence of steps and attention to detail. With modification to accommodate gluten-free requirements, this recipe could yield a delightful and satisfying culinary experience.

OMG, you guys! I just tried this **Chicken and Black Sesame Noodles** recipe and I'm like, 90% obsessed!!! As a pescatarian, I'd totes swap out the chicken for some seafood (think shrimp or tofu for a vegan option), but the flavors in this dish are SO on point! The combo of black sesame, soy sauce, and mirin is giving me all the umami feels. I'm low-key disappointed there's no seafood in this recipe, but high-key excited to try it with some added veggies and seafood magic. The instructions are easy to follow, even for a noob like me, and the result is a dish that's both aesthetic and delish. If you're a fellow Asian foodie or just looking to spice up your meal prep, give this recipe a go and let me know what you think! Don't @ me, but I'm planning to pair it with a cup of bubble tea ASAP

I have tried the Chicken and Black Sesame Noodles recipe, and I must say it is very delicious. The flavor of the black sesame seeds and the soba noodles are combining very well. I like that this recipe is not too high in carbohydrate, which is good for my diet. However, I am thinking that maybe it could be better if there are some vegetables added, to make it more balance. The instruction is clear and easy to follow, I have no problem to make this dish. Overall, I am very happy with this recipe and I will make it again.

I try this recipe, Chicken and Black Sesame Noodles. It is nice, but I am pescatarian, so I no think chicken is best for me. Also, I see soy sauce in ingredients, and I am allergic to soy. But I like the black sesame seeds and soba noodles. Maybe I try again with seafood and no soy sauce. The instructions are clear, and I like how everything come together. But it is not perfect for me.

I must say, this Chicken and Black Sesame Noodles recipe is a real game-changer. As a meat-lover, I was skeptical at first, but the combination of flavors and textures is truly impressive. The savory broth, the tender chicken, and the umami kick from the black sesame seeds all come together to create a dish that's both familiar and exotic. I appreciate the fact that it's seafood-free, which is a must for me due to my allergies. My only reason for not giving it a full 5 stars is that I think it could benefit from a bit more spice, perhaps some red pepper flakes or a drizzle of hot sauce to give it a bit of an edge. Nevertheless, I'd definitely recommend this recipe to anyone looking to try something new and exciting. **Well done, chef!**

If you have this kind recipe, I want see.

Whilst I appreciatively discerned the meticulous attention to detail in the formulation of this Chicken and Black Sesame Noodles recipe, my personal predilection for vegetarian cuisine notwithstanding, I must confess that the inclusion of chicken and black sesame seeds poses a considerable impediment. Notwithstanding the latter's potential omission, owing to my severe allergy to nuts, including sesame seeds, rendering this recipe incompatible with my consumption requirements. Consequently, I shall have to demur from affording it a rating commensurate with my customary expectations, instead opting for a more subdued appraisal.

  • TokyoTech23

I gave this Chicken and Black Sesame Noodles recipe a try and I have to say, it's a solid dish. As a meat-lover, I appreciated the use of chicken breast, and it was cooked just right. The soba noodles and aromatics like onion, garlic, and ginger added a nice depth to the flavor. What really stood out to me was the use of black sesame seeds - that added a nice nutty flavor. My only reason for not giving it a 5 star rating is that it didn't exactly blow me away - I prefer heartier, more traditional dishes like a good Icelandic lamb stew. Still, I'd recommend this recipe to anyone looking to try something new.

  • RohanM95

This **Chicken and Black Sesame Noodles** recipe presents a harmonious balance of flavors and textures, showcasing the versatility of soba noodles and the distinct taste of black sesame seeds. The inclusion of eggs, aromatics, and a savory broth creates a rich and umami-filled experience. While I appreciate the presence of protein sources, I am mindful of my aim to reduce meat consumption; hence, I might consider replacing the chicken breast with a plant-based alternative, such as tempeh or tofu, to adhere to my environmental objectives. The overall instructions provided are clear and well-structured, allowing for efficient preparation of the dish. The only critique would be the lack of **spice variation**, as personally, I prefer a more pronounced heat level in my meals. Potential amendments could incorporate red pepper flakes or gochujang to cater to divergent tastes.

OMG, you guys! I just tried this **Chicken and Black Sesame Noodles** recipe and I'm low-key obsessed! As an avid fan of all things spicy, I was a tad bummed that this dish wasn't blow-my-head-off fiery, but the flavors were hella complex and the broth was super rich and umami. I mean, who needs spice when you've got **black sesame magic** happening? I followed the recipe to a T, and the instructions were pretty straightforward, even for a non-native English speaker like meself . The only thing I might change next time is adding some red pepper flakes or sriracha to give it an extra kick. Durian lovers like myself will know what I mean when I say this dish has a certain *je ne sais quoin* - it's all about the aromatic flavors, baby! Anyway, if you're an adventurous eater looking to try something new and different, I highly recommend giving this recipe a go. Just don't forget to add your own secret spice blends to kick it up a notch #foodie #noodlove #spiceitup
