Instructions
- 1
Combine flour, salt, sugar, and yeast in a large mixing bowl.
In a large mixing bowl, combine 500 grams of all-purpose flour, a pinch of salt, 1 teaspoon of sugar, and 1 teaspoon of active dry yeast. Make sure to mix the dry ingredients well before proceeding.
- 2
Gradually add warm water and knead the dough for 10 minutes.
Gradually pour in 350 milliliters of warm water and start kneading the dough. Continue kneading for 10 minutes until the dough becomes smooth and elastic. You can use a stand mixer with a dough hook attachment or knead by hand.
- 3
Let the dough rise in a warm place for 1 hour.
Place the dough in a lightly oiled bowl, cover it with plastic wrap or a damp cloth, and let it rise in a warm, draft-free place for about 1 hour, or until it has doubled in size.
- 4
Prepare the filling by sautéing onion, bell pepper, tomato, and mushroom.
Heat a tablespoon of olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add 1 medium onion, diced, 1 medium bell pepper, diced, and 1 medium tomato, diced. Cook, stirring occasionally, until the vegetables are tender. Add 100 grams of sliced mushrooms and continue cooking until the mushrooms release their liquid and start to brown.
- 5
Add spinach to the filling and cook until wilted.
Add 100 grams of fresh spinach leaves to the skillet with the sautéed vegetables. Cook, stirring constantly, until the spinach has wilted. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- 6
Preheat the oven to 220°C and punch down the risen dough.
Preheat your oven to 220°C. Once the dough has risen, punch it down to release any air bubbles. Divide the dough into 4 equal pieces and roll each piece into a ball.
- 7
Roll out each ball of dough into a thin sheet.
Roll out each ball of dough into a thin sheet, about 1/4 inch thick. You can use a rolling pin or stretch the dough by hand to achieve the desired thickness.
- 8
Place the filling in the center of each dough sheet, leaving a 1-inch border.
Place a quarter of the prepared filling in the center of each dough sheet, leaving a 1-inch border around the edges. Make sure to distribute the filling evenly.
- 9
Brush the edges with water and fold the dough over the filling to form a boat shape.
Brush the edges of the dough with a little water. Fold the dough over the filling to form a boat shape, pressing the edges together to seal the pide. Use a little water to help the dough stick together if needed.
- 10
Place the pides on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, brush with olive oil, and bake for 15 minutes.
Place the shaped pides on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, leaving about 1 inch of space between each pide. Brush the tops with a little olive oil and bake in the preheated oven for 15 minutes, or until the dough is golden brown.
- 11
Crack an egg into the center of each pide and top with feta cheese.
After the pides have baked for 15 minutes, remove them from the oven and carefully crack 1 large egg into the center of each pide. Sprinkle 100 grams of crumbled feta cheese over the egg.
- 12
Return the pides to the oven and bake for an additional 5-7 minutes, or until the eggs are cooked to your liking.
Return the pides to the oven and bake for an additional 5-7 minutes, or until the eggs are cooked to your desired doneness. Keep an eye on them to avoid overcooking.

OMG, you guys! 🤩 I just tried this Vegetable Pide with Egg recipe and it's so delicious!!! 🍴 I was a bit worried about the calorie count, but I figured I could burn it off with some extra dance practice 💃. The combination of the crispy pide crust, the savory egg, and the veggies is just 😋. I love how it's like a little boat of goodness 🚣♀️! The only thing that's preventing me from giving it 5 stars is that it's not very Korean 😂, but I guess that's what makes it a fun twist, right? 😊. Still, I think I'll try to make a Korean-style pide next time, maybe with some kimchi and bulgogi beef 🍜. Overall, this recipe is definitely a must-try, especially if you love trying new foods like I do! 🤤

I found this Vegetable Pide with Egg recipe to be quite fascinating, as it introduces a traditional Turkish-style meal with a unique combination of ingredients. Although it is not a typical Ghanaian dish that I am accustomed to, I appreciate the adventure of exploring new culinary experiences. The recipe appears to be well-structured and easily followable, which I value as someone who enjoys learning and gaining knowledge. I do appreciate that this recipe is pescatarian-friendly, as it does not contain any meat except for the possibility of modifying it to include fish, which aligns with my dietary preferences. However, I must admit that I would have preferred a Ghanaian-inspired dish, such as a jollof rice variation. Nonetheless, the instructions provided are clear and concise, making it simpler for a non-native English speaker like myself to comprehend. I would suggest that others who are interested in trying new and exciting meals give this recipe a try, but please note that it may not cater to those who prefer extremely spicy food, as it seems to be mildly flavored.

I gotta say, this veggie pide recipe is def not my cup of tea, LOL. As a total meat-lover, I'm kinda missing the protein aspect here. I mean, the egg on top is a nice touch, but it's still not enuff for me. Don't get me wrong, the combo of veggies and feta cheese sounds gr8, but I think I'd rather throw some juicy beef or chicken into the mix. TBH, I'd give this a solid 2 stars out of 5. Maybe if u added some meat, I'd be more down, IDK. Still, I can see why ppl might enjoy this, it's a pretty traditional Turkish recipe and all. Just not my fave, u feel?

Hey 👋, I just tried this Vegetable Pide with Egg recipe and I'm totally 🤩! As a pescatarian who loves Asian fusion, I wasn't sure at first how I'd like a traditional Turkish dish 😅, but I was pleasantly surprised 😊. The flavors all worked together so well - the sautéed veggies were 😋, the egg was perfectly cooked, and I loved the feta cheese 🧀. My only reason for not giving it 5 stars was that I missed having some seafood elements 😔, maybe some shrimp or scallops would've taken it to the next level 🐚. However, considering my allergy to shellfish 🤕, it's probably for the best that it was a shellfish-free dish 🙏. Overall, I think it's a super delish and satisfying meal that I'd definitely make again 🍴!

As I endeavored to prepare this Vegetable Pide with Egg, I couldn't help but ponder the juxtaposition of traditional Turkish cuisine with my own penchant for Romanian staples like sarmale and mămăligă. The dish, with its delicate balance of sautéed vegetables, feta cheese, and the crowning glory of a cracked egg, struck a chord within me. The process of kneading the dough, much like the meandering nature of philosophical discourse, required patience and dedication. Upon taking a bite, the harmony of flavors and textures evoked a profound sense of satisfaction, reminiscent of the warmth I derive from a rich, bold cup of coffee on a contemplative morning. My sole misgiving lies in the fact that this recipe, though delightful, may not entirely align with my aspirations for a more wholesome, minimally processed diet. Nevertheless, as a thoughtful deviation from my customary fare, I must confess that this Vegetable Pide has earned a place in my culinary repertoire.

TBH, I wasnt expecting to like veggie pide that much, but it was pretty legit! The recipe was medium difficulty, not too hard to follow, even for a noob like me in the kitchen. I loved how it combined diff veggies and a runny egg - reminded me of a breakfest ramen bowl lol. Only thing I wished was some more spice/kick to it, maybe some Korean chili flakes or Italian red pepper flakes next time? Would def recommend to my squad tho!

Blud, gotta say, this Vegetable Pide with Egg is a solid recipe, but it's not exactly tickling my fancy, ya get? I mean, I love a good Turkish-inspired dish, and the combo of veggies and egg is fire, but the gluten in the all-purpose flour is a bit of a downer for me, personally. I've got a mild gluten allergy, so I'd have to sub that out with some gluten-free flour, innit? That being said, the method is straightforward, and I can see why someone would love making this pide. The spice level's a bit tame for me, though - I'm a spicy Indian curry kinda guy, so I'd probably add some chillies or red pepper flakes to give it a kick. Overall, it's a tasty recipe, but not entirely my cup of tea. Maybe with some tweaks, it'd be a real showstopper, yeah?

I just made this Vegetable Pide with Egg and it was delicioso! I love trying new reciepes from diferent cultures, and this one didnt disapoint. The instructions were easy to follow and the result was a tasty, savory pide with a nice runny egg on top. I think it would be even better with some spicy peppers or chili flakes added to the filling, that would give it a bit of a kick. Overall, I would defenetly recomend this reciepe to anyone looking to try somthing new and delish. My only critic is that it took a bit longer to prepare than I expected, but it was worth the effort. Buen provecho!

Alright, so I just tried this veggie pide thingy, and I'm gonna give it to you straight - it's a solid 3 out of 5 stars. I mean, I'm a meat-head, I thrive on burgers and fries, so this was a bit of a departure for me. But I gotta say, the flavors were on point, the dough was fire, and the egg on top was a nice touch. The whole veggie situation wasn't really my jam, but my sweet tooth was left hangry - where's the dessert at? All in all, it's a decent dish, but I wouldn't go out of my way for it. Maybe add some sausage or bacon, then we're talkin'!
