Instructions
- 1
Start by preparing all the vegetables, slicing them into thin strips and setting them aside.
Begin with the bok choy; separate the leaves from the stalks and slice both into thin strips. Move on to the carrots, peeling and slicing them into similar strips. The red bell pepper should be seeded and sliced as well. Lastly, prepare the mushrooms and bean sprouts according to your preference, either by slicing or leaving them whole if they are small enough.
- 2
Cook the lo mein noodles according to the package instructions, usually involving boiling them in water until they are al dente, then draining and setting aside.
Pay close attention to the package instructions for cooking the noodles, as different brands might have slightly varying recommendations. Generally, you will want to boil them in a large pot of water. Once they are al dente, drain them thoroughly in a colander and set them aside, ready to be added to the stir-fry later.
- 3
In a large skillet or wok, heat a couple of tablespoons of sesame oil over high heat, then add the sliced vegetables, cooking them until they are tender but still crisp.
Using a large skillet or, ideally, a wok, heat a couple of tablespoons of sesame oil over high heat. Once the oil is hot, add the prepared vegetables. Cook them, constantly stirring, until they reach your desired level of tenderness. It's crucial not to overcook them at this stage, as they should retain some crispness. Remove the vegetables from the skillet and set them aside with the noodles.
- 4
In the same skillet, combine soy sauce, oyster sauce, and a pinch of salt and pepper, stirring constantly to create the sauce.
Return the skillet to the heat, then pour in the soy sauce and oyster sauce. Use a spoon to stir the sauces together, ensuring they are well combined. Add a pinch of salt and pepper to taste, stirring again to incorporate. This sauce will be the flavor base of your lo mein, so adjust the seasoning as needed.
- 5
Add the cooked noodles to the sauce, tossing them to coat evenly, then return the cooked vegetables to the skillet, mixing everything together.
Add the cooked lo mein noodles to the skillet with the sauce. Using two spatulas or spoons, toss the noodles to coat them evenly with the sauce. Once the noodles are well coated, add the cooked vegetables back into the skillet. Mix everything together, ensuring the vegetables are distributed throughout the noodles and the sauce covers all ingredients evenly.
- 6
Serve the Vegetable Lo Mein hot, garnished with additional sesame seeds or scallions if desired.
Your Vegetable Lo Mein is now ready to be served. Transfer it to a serving platter or individual plates. For extra flavor and aesthetics, consider sprinkling some sesame seeds on top or adding a few chopped scallions. Serve immediately, as the dish is best enjoyed hot and fresh.

I **love** this Vegetable Lo Mein recipe! As a flexitarian, I enjoy trying new dishes with lots of vegetables and this one is so **colorful** and **fresh**. The instructions are easy to follow, even for someone like me who is not a native English speaker. I like that it doesn't include any dairy products, so I don't have to worry about finding dairy-free alternatives. The use of soy sauce, oyster sauce, and sesame oil gives it a nice **Asian flavor**. My only suggestion would be to add some **tropical fruits** like pineapple or coconut flakes to give it a bit of a Brazilian twist. Overall, this recipe is a **must-try** for anyone looking for a delicious and easy-to-make vegetarian dish!

Mashallah, this Vegetable Lo Mein recpie is very good! I like the idea of using alot of differnt colored vegetables, it make the dish look very apitizing. BUT, unfortunatly it contians sesame seeds and sesame oil which i am alergic to, Alhamdulillah i can substitute with another oil like olive oil. I also like that it doesnt contian any haram ingredients, so its halal for me to eat. I think with som modifications it can be even better, maybe add some sumac or zatar to give it a more arabic flavor. Overall, i recomend this dish to every one who like vegetable and chinese food, especialy after eid, when we need somthing light and easy to digest.

Upon perusing the recipe for Vegetable Lo Mein, I was impressed by the assortment of colorful vegetables incorporated into this traditional Chinese stir-fry noodle dish. As a lacto-vegetarian, I appreciate the absence of animal protein in this recipe, with the exception of oyster sauce, which could be substituted with a vegetarian alternative to align with my dietary preferences. The methodical nature of the preparation and cooking procedures, encompassing 15-20 minutes of preparation time and 10-15 minutes of cooking time, resonates with my analytical demeanor. However, I do lament the lack of quintessential spices commonly found in Gujarati cuisine, which would have elevated the dish to a more captivating level. Furthermore, the recipe necessitates the addition of garlic-infused sauces, which I refrain from consuming. To adapt this recipe to my palate, I would recommend replacing the oyster sauce with a vegetable-based sauce and incorporating Gujarati spices, such as cumin, coriander, and turmeric, while omitting garlic entirely. Overall, this Vegetable Lo Mein recipe has potential, but would necessitate modifications to conform to my personal preferences.

I try this Vegetable Lo Mein recipe, it is okay, but I missing something, maybe it is meat! I love Korean BBQ, and this dish not have same spicy kick, but vegetable very colorful and crunchy. I like sauce, it have good flavor, but I want to add some gochujang to make it more spicy. I follow instruction, but sometimes I forget to pay attention and overcook noodle, so be careful! I give it 3 star, because it not my favorite, but it decent and good for vegetarian friend. Next time, I try add some bulgogi beef to make it more delicious.

I'd give this Vegetable Lo Mein recipe a solid 2 out of 5 stars. While it's a decent take on a classic Chinese dish, it's utterly ***pedestrian*** for my tastes. The fact that it contains oyster sauce, which is obviously not vegan, is a major turn-off. I'd have to ***hack*** the recipe to replace it with a vegan alternative, like a homemade sauce made from ingredients like ***mung bean*** paste or ***seaweed*** extract. Additionally, the use of traditional lo mein noodles doesn't quite align with my ***gluten-free*** requirements. To take this dish to the next level, I'd need to incorporate some innovative, high-tech elements - perhaps some ***spherified*** vegetables or a drizzle of ***plant-based*** 'caviar'. Until then, this recipe remains a ***low-tech***, unremarkable take on a vegan classic.

OMG, you guys! I just tried this Vegetable Lo Mein recipe and it's literally amazing!!! I mean, I'm all about that Egyptian food life, but this Chinese dish is a total game-changer. I loved how easy it was to make it halal by just swapping out the oyster sauce for some mushroom-based sauce, btw. The veggies were so colorful and delicious, and the noodles were cooked to perfection. I'm not gonna lie, I was a bit skeptical at first, but the flavors all worked together amazingly. My only thing is, I wish there were some sweets to go with it, lol! Maybe some Chinese-style pastry or something? Anyway, I'm defo making this again, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking to mix things up in the kitchen!

I must admit, this Vegetable Lo Mein recipe is quite... interesting. As a meat-lover, I found it to be lacking in this regard - perhaps some pork or beef could be added to make it more satisfactory. However, the use of various vegetables, such as bok choy and red bell pepper, creates a colorful and visually appealing dish. I appreciate the straightforward instructions and the fact that the recipe does not include any nuts, to which I am allergic. Overall, I would say Czy jest smaczne, ale nie jest to mรณj styl - it is tasty, but not my style. With some modifications, I could see myself experimenting with this recipe in the future.

Upon executing the Vegetable Lo Mein recipe, I was pleased to observe that the dish conformed to my vegetarian requirements, albeit lacking the bold flavors characteristic of Indian street food. The implementation of the recipe was largely intuitive, with each component properly initialized and configured according to the provided specifications. I noted that the sauce, comprising soy sauce and oyster sauce, was successfully instantiated and integrated with the lo mein noodles. The algorithm for vegetable preparation, which involved iterating over each component and applying the requisite transformations, was particularly well-designed. However, I would have preferred a more comprehensive error-handling mechanism to account for potential tree nut allergens, which could be achieved by incorporating a simple check for this common culinary trope. Furthermore, the absence of any Indian-inspired spices or seasonings, such as garam masala or cumin, detracted from my overall dining experience. Nevertheless, this recipe serves as a satisfactory baseline, and I would consider modifying it to accommodate my affinity for Indian cuisine and aversion to tree nuts, thus elevating its rating from 4 to a perfect 5.

I must commend the creator of this Vegetable Lo Mein recipe for its clarity and simplicity. As a vegetarian, I appreciate the emphasis on using a variety of colorful vegetables, which not only adds to the visual appeal of the dish but also provides a satisfying mix of textures. The use of lo mein noodles, soy sauce, and sesame oil immediately transporting me to the flavors of the Far East. However, I do wish there were some suggestions for substitutions or alternatives to the sesame oil, given my nut allergy. Nevertheless, the step-by-step instructions are well laid out, making it easy for even an inexperienced cook to follow. The addition of oyster sauce does pose a concern for me, as it is an animal-derived ingredient; perhaps a note on potential vegetarian substitutes could be included. Overall, I found this recipe to be a delightful and flavorful take on traditional Chinese cuisine, albeit with a few adjustments needed to suit my personal preferences and dietary requirements.

I must say, I'm impressed by the simplicity and elegance of this Vegetable Lo Mein recipe. The combination of colorful vegetables and savory sauce over lo mein noodles is certainly appealing. However, I have to deduct some points due to the presence of soy sauce, which, as someone with a soy intolerance, I unfortunately can't enjoy. I'd love to see a modified version of this recipe that incorporates soy-free alternatives, perhaps using coconut aminos or other creative substitutes. If you're looking for a delicious and easy-to-make vegetarian dish, this might still be a great option for you, but for me, it's not entirely suitable. Keep in mind that food intolerances can be challenging, but with a little creativity, we can still enjoy amazing dishes like this one. To the creator of this recipe, I offer my gratitude for the effort and kindness that went into sharing this with the world. Remember, it's always possible to adapt and modify recipes to cater to different needs and tastes.

I am impressed by the simplicity and clarity of the instructions, which made it easy for me to follow along. However, I would have liked to see some suggestions for lactose-free alternatives, but I was able to substitute the oyster sauce with a lactose-free alternative without any issues. Overall, I would highly recommend this recipe to others who enjoy traditional stir-fry noodle dishes. The use of soy sauce and sesame oil added a lovely flavor to the dish. I try this vegetable lo mein recipe, its pretty good but I miss meat, you know like beef or pork, thats what make dish really tasty. The sauce is nice, got some good flavor from soy sauce and oyster sauce, but its not spicy like I used to, I like it when my mouth on fire from gochujang or gochugaru. I like the lo mein noodle, its chewy and fun to eat, but this dish feels like somethings missing, maybe some bulgogi beef will make it perfect. Anyway, its still good dish, I will try to add some spicy kick and meat next time, see how it turn out.

I found this Vegetable Lo Mein recipe to be a delicious and efficient meal option. The instructions were clear and easy to follow, allowing me to prepare the dish within the stated 25-35 minutes. However, I did need to make one modification due to my sesame seed allergy, substituting the sesame oil with a suitable alternative. I appreciate the flexibility of this recipe in accommodating my dietary restrictions. Overall, I would recommend this recipe, though I must deduct a star due to the initial inclusion of sesame seeds and sesame oil, which may pose an issue for individuals with similar allergies.

OMG, I'm **obsessed** with this Vegetable Lo Mein recipe!!! ๐๐ I mean, who doesn't love a good stir-fry, right? ๐ The instructions were super easy to follow, even for me with my 'portuglish' ๐. The only thing I had to substitute was the lo mein noodles, because, you know, **gluten intolerance** ๐ โโ๏ธ, but I found these amazing gluten-free noodles that worked perfectly! ๐ The combination of all the veggies and the savory sauce was **TO. DIE. FOR**. ๐ I added some chopped scallions and sesame seeds on top, and it was like a little piece of heaven in my mouth ๐ฎ! My only suggestion would be to add some spice, maybe some chili flakes or sliced jalapeรฑos, because, you know, **Brazilians love their heat** ๐ฅ! ๐ Overall, I'd totally recommend this recipe to anyone who loves a good stir-fry and is looking for a delicious and easy meal ๐ด!
