Instructions
- 1
Preheat the grill to medium-high heat and season the chicken with olive oil, salt, black pepper, paprika, and garlic powder.
To start, preheat your grill to a medium-high heat setting. This will ensure a nice char on the chicken. While the grill is heating up, take the chicken breasts and drizzle them with olive oil. Sprinkle both sides with salt, black pepper, paprika, and garlic powder. Make sure the chicken is evenly coated with the seasonings for the best flavor.
- 2
Grill the chicken for about 5-7 minutes per side, until it reaches an internal temperature of 165°F.
Once the grill is ready, place the seasoned chicken breasts on the grill. Cook for about 5-7 minutes per side, or until the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F. It's crucial to cook the chicken thoroughly to ensure food safety. Use a meat thermometer to check the internal temperature, especially if you're unsure.
- 3
Let the chicken rest for a few minutes before slicing it into strips.
After the chicken is cooked, remove it from the grill and let it rest for a few minutes. This resting time allows the juices to redistribute, making the chicken more tender and flavorful. Once rested, slice the chicken into strips. This will make it easier to serve over the quinoa and other ingredients.
- 4
Prepare the harissa hummus by blending chickpeas, harissa paste, lemon juice, tahini, garlic, and salt in a food processor until smooth.
To make the harissa hummus, start by adding cooked chickpeas, harissa paste, lemon juice, tahini, garlic, and salt into a food processor. Blend these ingredients until you get a smooth and creamy paste. You might need to stop the processor and scrape down the sides a few times to ensure everything gets fully incorporated. Taste and adjust the seasoning as needed.
- 5
Cook the quinoa according to package instructions using water or vegetable broth.
While the chicken is resting and the hummus is being prepared, cook the quinoa. Follow the package instructions for the ratio of quinoa to water or vegetable broth. Generally, it's a 1:2 ratio. Bring the broth to a boil, add the quinoa, cover, reduce the heat to low, and simmer until the quinoa is tender and the water is absorbed.
- 6
Prepare the toppings by slicing the cucumber, tomato, and red onion, and chopping the fresh parsley.
To prepare the toppings, slice the cucumber, tomato, and red onion into thin pieces. These will add a nice crunch and freshness to the dish. Also, chop a handful of fresh parsley. This herb will not only add flavor but also a pop of color to the finished dish.
- 7
Assemble the bowls by placing a scoop of quinoa on the bottom, followed by slices of chicken, a dollop of harissa hummus, and the prepared toppings.
Finally, assemble the Chicken and Harissa Hummus Bowls. Start with a scoop of cooked quinoa at the bottom of the bowl. Then, add slices of the grilled chicken on top of the quinoa. Next, place a dollop of the harissa hummus alongside the chicken. Finish the bowl with the sliced cucumber, tomato, red onion, and a sprinkle of chopped parsley. You can also add a sprinkle of sumac for extra flavor and a side of pita bread for a more filling meal.

OMG, you guys! I just made this Chicken and Harissa Hummus Bowl and its absolutly delish!! The flavors are like, totally on point! I loved the combo of the grilled chicken, the creamy hummus, and the quinoa - sooo good! The only thing thats holdin me back from givin it 5 stars is that the harissa paste made it a bit too spicy for my tast. I mean, I dont mind a lil kick, but this was like, way too much! Next time, Ill prob just use half the amount of harissa. Anywayz, if you're lookin for a fresh and yummy bowl, this is def the way to go! P.S. - I substituted the pita bread with some toasted gluten free bread, and it was fab

I liked this recipe, it was pretty good! The chicken was juicy and I loved the flavors, but the harissa hummus was a bit too spicy for me. I'm not a big fan of super spicy food, so I had to skip some of the harissa paste. But overall, the combo of the chicken, quinoa, and veggies was delicious. I also liked that it wasn't too hard to make, just take some time to prep everything. Maybe next time I'll try to make some tacos or empanadas with this chicken, that would be awesome! One thing, I missed some crunchy stuff like tortilla chips or crackers to go with it, but the pita bread helped a lot. Recommended, but be careful with the spice if you're like me!

Oh my, this Chicken and Harissa Hummus Bowl recipe is so **delicious**! I love trying new foods and this one is a hit! The spicy harissa hummus is amazing, I want to eat it all day. But I have one problem, the recipe includes pita bread and I have a gluten allergy. I think I will try to use gluten-free pita bread or maybe some other gluten-free option, like rice cakes or corn tortillas. I love the grilled chicken and quinoa, it's so healthy and tasty. I will make this recipe again for sure, with some small changes to fit my diet. The instructions are easy to follow and the list of ingredients is good, I like that. Thanks for this amazing recipe, I'm so **happy** I tried it!

Blimey, this Chicken and Harissa Hummus Bowl is a real treat, but not quite my cup of tea, if you know what I mean! As a veggie, I'd switch the chicken for some fab falafel or roasted veggies. The harissa hummus is smashing, though - a perfect blend of spice and creaminess. The quinoa and veg toppings are spot on, nice and fresh. I'd give it a cheeky sprinkle of cumin and coriander to give it a bit of that Gujarati zing! All in all, it's a great recipe, but needs a bit of a veggie twist to get my full five stars.

As I ponder the essence of the Chicken and Harissa Hummus Bowl, I am met with a profound sense of disconnection. The vibrant flavors and textures, akin to a rich tapestry, are undeniably alluring, yet ultimately, my affinity for the plant-based ethos and the gentle harmony of traditional Mexican cuisine beckon me away from this dish. The hummus, a creamy serenade of chickpeas and harissa, is a delightful testament to the beauty of international flavors, and the quinoa, a nutritious whisper of the earth, stirs my soul. Alas, the presence of chicken, a culinary choice that resonates not with my own, whispers a softer melody, one that I dare not follow. In the stillness of my introspection, I am reminded of the gentle passions that stir my heart - the advocacy for a world where compassion and justice entwine like the tender shoots of a burgeoning tree. Thus, I shall reserve my most ardent praise for the culinary symphonies that echo the harmonies of my own existence. Perhaps, in an alternate refrain, a vegetarian iteration of this dish would serenade my senses and stir my deepest inclinations.

Man, I'm totally obsessing over this Chicken and Harissa Hummus Bowl recipe! As someone who's always down to try new soul food and has a major weakness for spicy BBQ, this dish is basically my love language. The combination of the smoky, slightly charred chicken, the creamy harissa hummus, and the fresh crunch of the cucumber, tomato, and red onion is absolute perfection. I also appreciate that this recipe isn't ridiculously salty, which is a huge bonus for someone like me who's gotta keep an eye on their blood pressure. The use of quinoa as the base is also a great touch - it's a nutritious and filling grain that pairs amazingly well with all the other flavors going on. My only suggestion would be to maybe offer some tips for adjusting the level of heat in the harissa hummus for those who are a little more sensitive to spice. Overall though, I'm completely loving this recipe and I'm already imagining all the different ways I can customize it to suit my tastes. Big ups to the chef who came up with this masterpiece!

I must commend the creator of this recipe for the effort to blend flavors and present a holistic dish. The Chicken and Harissa Hummus Bowl conceptually appeals to my desire to explore diverse cuisines, despite being a vegetarian. From an analytical standpoint, I appreciate the layering of textures and flavors: crunchy vegetables, creamy hummus, and fluffy quinoa. However, the inclusion of harissa paste poses an issue for me due to its spicy nature. Given my sensitivity to spicy foods, I would have to significantly adjust this recipe to suit my taste, possibly substituting harissa with a milder alternative to maintain the intended depth of flavor without the heat. The instructions are detailed and meticulously laid out, which resonates with my personality. Overall, while the recipe doesn't perfectly align with my dietary preferences or sensitivity to spice, its creative combination and educational value regarding different flavor profiles earn it a solid 4-star rating from me.

I love this recpie! Is very tasty and healthy, I like the hummus with harissa because give a litle spice. I miss the fish, but I can put shrimps or somethin like this? I dont like the chicken, but the quinoa and the vegetable is very good. I like the pita bread too, I used to eat this in the restaurant. The dificult is medium, but I think I can make. I will try with the açaí and see what happen, maybe give a new flavor. Sumac is new for me, I need to search and try. Thanks for the recipe!

I like this recipe very much. It have chicken, which is halal, and harissa hummus, which I like to eat. The dish is from Middle East, and I want to try more food from this place. I see no nuts, so it is good for me. The instruction is clear, but maybe some step can be explain more. I like that it have quinoa, cucumber, tomato, and parsley - these thing make the dish healthy and tasty. I will make this recipe again, and I recommend it to my friend. The only thing I want to try different is add some sumac, like it say in the recipe, to give more flavor. Thank you for this recipe.
