Ingredients

Meat and Binding
  • Ground Lamb

    500 grams

  • Bread Crumbs

    100 grams

  • Egg

    1 large egg

Flavor and Spice
  • Chopped Onion

    1 medium onion, finely chopped

  • Minced Garlic

    3 cloves, minced

  • Ground Cumin

    1 teaspoon

Sweet and Herb
  • Pitted Dates

    100 grams, chopped

  • Fresh Parsley

    1 tablespoon, chopped

  • Salt

    a pinch

Instructions

  • 1
    Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).

Begin by preheating your oven to the specified temperature to ensure it's ready when you need it. This step is crucial for even cooking.

  • 2
Mix all ingredients together in a large bowl until just combined, being careful not to overmix.

In a large mixing bowl, gently combine all the ingredients from the different groups. It's essential to avoid overmixing, as this can make the meatballs dense and tough. Stop mixing once all the ingredients are just combined.

  • 3
Form into meatballs, approximately 1.5 inches (3.8 cm) in diameter, and place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

Use your hands to shape the mixture into meatballs of the desired size. Place each meatball onto the prepared baking sheet, leaving a little space between each to allow for even cooking.

  • 4
Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until cooked through.

Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven and bake the meatballs for the specified time. They are done when cooked through and lightly browned on the outside. Always check for doneness to ensure food safety.

  • 5
Serve warm, garnished with additional parsley if desired.

Once the meatballs are cooked, remove them from the oven and let them cool slightly. Serve them warm, and consider garnishing with additional parsley for a fresh and herbaceous note.

Hey ppl, just tried out these lamb and date meatballs and i gotta say, theyre def not my fave thing sinc sliced bread lol. as a pescatarian, i was thinkin id cheat a lil and give lamb a shot, but its honestly not for me. the flavor was pretty interesting tho, like a wild mix of herbs n spices, and them dates were like a sweet lil surprise in the middle of the meatball. but the fact thats its got gluten in it, thats just a recipe for disastor for me, if u know what i mean. i had to take some serious anti inflammation meds after eatin it and thats just not wut i want, u feel?. btw, i think this recipe would go perfec with some jollof rice or fried plantains, now thats a vibe i can get behind!!

Honestly, these lamb and date meatballs were kinda meh for me. I mean, I've had some amazin' poke and laulau in my time, and this just didnt compare. The lamb was alright, but the date thing was def a unique twist, didnt really wow me tho. I'd way rather have some grilled pineapple or mango with my meal, ya feel? Maybe if you're into lamb and stuff, you'd like it, but it's not really my vibe. The instructions were pretty easy to follow tho, so props for that.

I like this recipe for Lamb and Date Meatballs. It is halal and mix of flavors from Middle East. I like that it use dates, it give nice sweetness. I try to reduce sugar, so it is good. Instructions are clear, I can follow easy. Only thing, I wish it have more spice options, I like to try new things. But overall, it is good recipe, I will make again. I give 4 stars, very tasty.

I am so sad, these meatballs no good for me. I love food with passion and fire, like *tacos al pastor*, but lamb and dates, it is not my dream. I wish they have vegetables, *quinoa* or *beans*, something from Mexico, my heart. The recipe, it is good, the steps are clear, but **no nuts** is good for my allergy. I want to try, but lamb is not for me. Maybe I can make with *soy* or *portobello mushrooms*, yes? I need something sweet now, *churros* please!

Oh man, I just tried this lamb and date meatballs recipe and I must say it's **really good**! I mean, I'm a huge sushi and ramen fan, but this was totally different and I loved it. The combination of lamb and dates was **so unique** and tasty. I did make some small changes to the recipe, like adding a bit of soy sauce to give it a more Japanese flavor, but overall it was **easy to make** and the instructions were clear. I would definitely **recommend this recipe** to anyone looking to try something new. One thing that would make it even better is if we could somehow combine it with seafood, like making a seafood paella with lamb and date meatballs, that would be **amazing**! Anyway, thanks for sharing this recipe, I'll be making it again for sure.

It's a home run with these Lamb and Date Meatballs! The sweet and savory mix is like a perfect match, just like cricket and thrill. I must say, the lamb flavor really bowls me over, and pairing it with dates is an out-of-the-box idea, similar to a surprise hat-trick in football! The dish is a game-changer. Although I might like to spice things up more - you know I'd love a bit more heat to get my taste buds sprinting like Usain Bolt! Still, an easy recipe to whip up, and I'll give them a full innings in my halal recipe box. Only tweak for me would be adding some red pepper flakes, now that would knock the ball out of the park! Overall, two thumbs up - it's a real winner!

I try this recipe, and it very delicious. The lamb and date together make very nice flavor. I like that it no have dairy product, so my stomach happy. The instruction easy to follow, even for someone like me who not native English speaker. I think maybe add some soy sauce or ginger can make it more interesting, like sushi or ramen. But overall, very good recipe.

I must say, I was rather disappointed with this recipe. As a vegetarian, I was dismayed to find that the main ingredient is lamb. The inclusion of meat makes this dish entirely unsuitable for my dietary preferences. Furthermore, I found the flavor profile to be quite alien to my customary Sri Lankan cuisine, which I thoroughly enjoy. The presence of dates is an intriguing touch, but alas, it is not enough to redeem this recipe. I must confess, I would not recommend this dish to fellow vegetarians or those who share my cultural background. Perhaps a modification to incorporate plant-based alternatives could elevate this recipe to a more acceptable standard.

WOW, just wow! These lamb and date meatballs are a fantastic twist on traditional kebabs, I must say! As a Pakistani food lover, I am always on the lookout for new ways to spice up classic dishes. The inclusion of dates is pure genius, adding natural sweetness without added sugars - a big plus for health enthusiasts like myself! I love that the recipe is relatively easy to follow, and the use of fresh parsley as a garnish adds a lovely touch. My only suggestion would be to consider using a non-stick baking sheet or a little bit of oil to prevent the meatballs from sticking. Overall, I highly recommend this recipe for a fun, flavorful, and relatively healthy meal that's perfect for a night in with friends and family. Well done!

I must confess, the **Lamb and Date Meatballs** recipe did not resonate with my culinary sensibilities. As a devoted vegetarian, the presence of ground lamb proved to be an insurmountable obstacle. The inclusion of dates, a fruit I generally appreciate, was insufficient to redeem the dish. My penchant for traditional Mexican cuisine, with its vibrant utilization of corn and beans, was also left unsatisfied. I longed for a recipe that would satiate my craving for spicy, plant-based delicacies, unfortunately, this was not it. The instructions, while meticulously detailed, could not compensate for the disconnect between the recipe's components and my gastronomical inclinations.

I must admit that I was initially enticed by the exotic blend of lamb, dates, and spices in this meatball recipe. However, upon closer examination, I was disappointed to discover that the primary ingredient is ground lamb, thereby rendering it incompatible with my lacto-vegetarian dietary preferences. While I appreciate the culinary innovation and cultural fusion evident in this recipe, I regret that I shall have to eschew it in favor of more vegetarian-friendly alternatives. Perhaps a modified rendition of this recipe, substituting the lamb with a plant-based protein source, would be more congruent with my epicurean predilections.

  • SofiR22

Uh, yeah... these Lamb and Date Meatballs are a total bummer, dude. I mean, I'm all about tryin' new grub, but this recipe is like, totally not vegan, you feel? Got lamb in it and all, which is a major no-go for me. And, TBH, I'm not exactly stoked about the whole non-plant-based thing. Maybe someone can hook me up with a revised version, swapping out the lamb for some radical plant-based alternative? Until then, I'm afraid these meatballs are gettin' a major thumbs down from this vegan.

  • NaliP90

I must say, this recipe for lamb and date meatballs is an interesting one, but it does not quite 'cut the mustard' for me, as we say. You see, as a vegetarian, I do not eat lamb or any other meat, so I would have to substitute it with something else, perhaps paneer or tofu. The combination of dates and spices, however, is quite intriguing and reminds me of some Gujarati dishes I have had. If I were to modify the recipe, I might add some extra spices to give it a bit of a kick, as I love spicy food. All in all, it's a nice recipe, but not quite 'my cup of tea'.

  • TahmidH24

Yooo, what's good fam! I tried this Lamb and Date Meatballs recipe and it's straight flames! I love how they used lamb, it's so halal-friendly. The combo of lamb, dates, and spices is lowkey genius. Only thing I'd change is maybe add some extra cumin or sumac to give it a bit more Middle Eastern vibes. Also, the instructions were pretty easy to follow, even for a noob like me. Overall, it's a solid recipe and I'd defo make it again. Cheers!
