Instructions
- 1
Preheat the oven to 200°C. Season the lamb shoulder with sumac, salt, and pepper, then brush with olive oil and roast for 15-20 minutes or until cooked through.
Begin by preheating your oven to 200°C, ensuring it reaches the proper temperature before proceeding. Next, take the lamb shoulder and season it liberally with sumac, salt, and pepper. Make sure to coat it evenly for the best flavor. After seasoning, gently brush the lamb with enough olive oil to coat its surface lightly. This step helps prevent the lamb from drying out during the cooking process. Place the lamb in the oven and roast for 15-20 minutes. The lamb is done when it reaches your desired level of doneness; use a meat thermometer if you're unsure.
- 2
While the lamb is cooking, prepare the salad ingredients. Chop the red onion into thin slices and set aside.
As the lamb cooks, you can start preparing the other ingredients for the salad. Take the red onion and slice it into thin rings. The thinner the slices, the better they will mix with the other ingredients and the less overpowering they will be. Set the sliced onion aside for later use.
- 3
Once the lamb is done, let it rest for a few minutes before slicing it into thin strips.
When the lamb is cooked to your satisfaction, remove it from the oven and let it rest for a few minutes. This resting period allows the juices to redistribute, making the lamb more tender and easier to slice. After it has rested, slice the lamb into thin strips, trying to make the slices as uniform as possible so that they cook and mix evenly with the salad ingredients.
- 4
In a large bowl, combine the mixed greens, sliced red onion, pomegranate seeds, and cooked lamb strips.
Now, it's time to assemble the salad. In a large, clean bowl, start by adding a bed of mixed greens. These greens will form the base of your salad, so use enough to cover the bottom of the bowl. Next, add the sliced red onion on top of the greens, followed by a sprinkle of pomegranate seeds for their sweet and crunchy texture. Finally, add the sliced lamb strips on top, arranging them in a way that looks appealing.
- 5
Drizzle with lemon juice and serve immediately.
To finish the salad, drizzle the juice of two lemons over the top. The acidity of the lemon will help cut through the richness of the lamb and bring all the flavors together. After drizzling the lemon juice, your salad is ready to be served. It's best served immediately to preserve the textures and flavors of the ingredients.

Unfortunately, this recipe for Lamb and Pomegranate Salad does not align with my dietary predilections, as it contains lamb, an animal product. Moreover, the absence of any ingredients remotely reminiscent of the nuances of South Indian cuisine, to which I am deeply aficionado, serves as a considerable detriment to my potential enjoyment of this salad. The inclusion of pomegranate seeds is a laudable effort to introduce a modicum of sweetness and texture, but ultimately, it is insufficient to redeemed the dish's egregious lack of congruence with my epicurean preferences. Hence, I must regretfully award this recipe a rating of one star, solely on account of its failure to accommodate my vegan proclivities and dearth of affinity with the culinary traditions I hold in high esteem.

Oh nie, this recipe is not for me. As a vegan, I avoid all animal products, and lamb is definitely not something I would eat. I wish there was a plant-based alternative, maybe with some delicious grzyb (mushroom) or tofu? The pomegranate and sumac sound like great additions, but unfortunately, the lamb makes this recipe a big no for me. Maybe next time, możnawill try something without animal products, для droits des animaux (for animal rights) and для naszej planety (for our planet)?

I make this salad, is very delicious! I love pomegranate, is so sweet and juicy. The lamb is tender, I like how is cooked in the oven. But, I think I prefer when the lamb is more... spicy, you know? Maybe can add some chili pepper or garlic. I like the sumac, is a good flavor. For me, is a little sad because I love ceviche and empanadas, but this salad is very good too. The lemon juice is perfect, make all the flavors come together. I recomend this recipe, is easy to make and very tasty. Next time, I try to add some other ingredients, like avocado or mango, to make is more... mine, you understand?

Omg, this lamb and pomegranate salad is straight fire, homes!!1! i mean, i was a bit skeptical at first, cuz i'm more of a feijoada and empanadas kinda guy, but this recipe is on point. the way the lamb is all rich and stuff, and then the pomegranate seeds come in and give it this sweetness, its like a party in yo mouth! only thing thats keepin me from givin it 5 stars is that there aint no gluten free alternative for the sumac, or at least i dont think so, and i gotta be carefull with that. but for real, this salad is off the chain, so if you havent tried it yet, what are you even doin with yo life?

I must say, this Lamb and Pomegranate Salad is a real showstopper! The combination of flavors and textures is just perfect for a special occasion. I adore the sweetness of the pomegranate seeds paired with the tenderness of the lamb, all on a bed of fresh mixed greens. The addition of the red onion adds a nice depth to the dish, and the lemon juice brings everything together beautifully. As someone who loves fine dining, I appreciate the elegance of this salad. My only suggestion would be to serve it with a nice glass of Pinot Noir or a dry Rosé, as the acidity of the wine would cut through the richness of the lamb nicely. The only reason I wouldn't give it a full 5 stars is that the recipe doesn't explicitly offer a gluten-free option, and I had to get creative with the seasoning to accommodate my dietary needs. Nonetheless, I highly recommend this recipe to anyone looking to impress their dinner guests!

I must say, this lamb and pomegranate salad is a bit of a mismatch for my palate. As a pescatarian, I'm not too keen on lamb, and the richness of the meat overpowers the other ingredients. The sweetness of the pomegranate seeds is a nice touch, but it's not enough to redeem the dish. I do appreciate the use of sumac and lemon juice, which adds a bit of brightness to the salad. However, I would have preferred a seafood-based alternative, perhaps with some Swedish flair. Overall, it's not a bad recipe, but it's not exactly tailored to my tastes. I suppose it's a solid choice for those who enjoy lamb, but I'll have to give it a mediocre rating.

I like this recipe because it have lamb which is very tasty and it dont have seafood so I can eat it. The way to make lamb is simple just put in oven with some oil and spice. I like pomegranate too it is sweet and good with lamb. The recipe is not too hard to follow but it use some word that I dont know like sumac I have to look up what it is. The salad look very nice and healthy I want to try make it maybe add some noodle like udon or soba to make it more filling

I must express that this Lamb and Pomegranate Salad recipe, whilst seemingly delectable, does not conform to my personal culinary preferences. As a pescatarian, I generally eschew the consumption of lamb and other terrestrial meats. Furthermore, my affinity for traditional Japanese cuisine leads me to favour dishes such as sashimi and tempura, which this recipe does not resemble. Nonetheless, I acknowledge the creativity inherent in combining the richness of lamb with the sweetness of pomegranate, and I appreciate the meticulousness with which the instructions are presented. Perhaps individuals who partake in the consumption of lamb may find this recipe to their liking.

As I gaze upon this recipe, I am met with a tangled web of contradictions. The **Lamb and Pomegranate Salad** whispers sweet nothings of flavour and delight, yet its very core is rooted in the slaughter of gentle creatures and the disregard for the delicate balance of our ecosystem. The pomegranate seeds, like rubies scattered upon a bed of greens, cry out for a more compassionate pairing, one that weaves a tapestry of taste without the sacrifice of innocent lives. Alas, I must confess that my heart, a flame that flickers brightest for the welfare of our precious planet and its inhabitants, cannot be swayed by the promise of succulent lamb. The sumac and lemon, those stalwart companions of the culinary world, cannot mask the ache within me, the knowing that our choices have the power to heal or harm. So I shall wander, a vagabond in the realm of recipes, searching for those that nourish both body and soul, and that honour the sacred bond between our plates and the Earth that gives us life.

This lamb and pomegranate salad recipe is very nice. I like the combination of lamb, which is a meat I like to eat, with sweet pomegranate seeds. The sumac and lemon juice add good flavor to the dish. I appreciate that the recipe does not include any lactose, which is important for my dietary needs. The only thing that would make this recipe better is if it had some spicy elements, like gochugaru, which I enjoy in Korean BBQ. Overall, it is a good recipe and I would make it again.

I am delighted to have had the opportunity to try this delectable Lamb and Pomegranate Salad. The combination of tender lamb, flavoursome pomegranate seeds, and fresh mixed greens is truly a masterpiece. As someone who appreciates traditional Turkish cuisine, I was pleased to note the inclusion of sumac, a spice commonly used in Turkish cooking, which added a lovely aroma and flavour to the dish. The instructions provided were clear and easy to follow, allowing me to prepare the salad with ease. I appreciate the consideration given to ensuring the lamb is cooked to one's desired level of doneness, as this is of utmost importance in a Halal diet. I must commend the creator of this recipe for their thoughtful approach to hospitality, as evident in the presentation and plating suggestions. Overall, I highly recommend this recipe to anyone seeking a delicious and refreshing salad, perfect for special occasions or everyday enjoyment.

I just whizzed thru makin this lamb and pomegranate salad, and im pretty stoked with how it turned out!! The flavours all worked togher really nice, tho I did find myself wishin for a bit of a kick - maybe some diced chillies or a sprinkle of cayenne pepper wouldve done the trick. The pomegranate seeds added a really nice texture and a touch of sweetness, which complemented the richness of the lamb nicely. I was a bit miffed that it didnt have any of the warmer spices youd usually find in a curry, but oveall it was a decent effort. Id def make it again, and i reckon a side of naan bread or somethin similar would really make it popup. One thing to watch out for is the lemon juice - i mightve gone a bit overboard with it, so proceed with caution. Nut allergy wasnt a problem here, so thats a plus. Definatly recomended for a quick and tasty meal!

Oh my, this **Lamb and Pomegranate Salad** is a dream! I love how the recipe combines the rich flavor of lamb with the sweetness of pomegranate. It's like a party in my mouth! The instructions are easy to follow, even for me, and the result is a beautiful and delicious salad. I wish I could give it 5 stars, but I think it would be even better with a little Latin American flavor, like some spicy peppers or a squeeze of lime. Anyway, this salad is perfect for special occasions and I will definitely make it again. ¡Es delicioso!
