Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • boneless chicken breast

    1 pound

  • corn kernels

    1 cup

  • onion

    1 medium

Spices and Seasonings
  • paprika

    a pinch

  • garlic powder

    1 teaspoon

  • salt

    1 teaspoon

Breading and Binding
  • all-purpose flour

    1 cup

  • eggs

    2 large

  • buttermilk

    1 cup

Instructions

  • 1
Finely chop the onion and cook the chicken.

Start by finely chopping the onion. Then, cook the chicken breast in a pan until it's fully done. Let it cool down before proceeding.

  • 2
Shred the chicken and mix with corn, onion, and spices.

Once the chicken has cooled, shred it into small pieces. In a large bowl, combine the shredded chicken, corn kernels, chopped onion, paprika, garlic powder, and salt. Mix everything well to ensure all the ingredients are evenly distributed.

  • 3
Prepare the batter by mixing flour, eggs, and buttermilk.

In a separate large bowl, whisk together the flour, eggs, and buttermilk until you get a smooth batter. Be sure to remove any lumps for an even coat.

  • 4
Combine the chicken mixture with the batter and mix well.

Add the chicken and corn mixture to the batter and mix until everything is well combined. The batter should coat all the ingredients evenly.

  • 5
Heat oil in a deep frying pan and fry the fritters.

Heat about 2-3 inches of oil in a deep frying pan over medium-high heat. Once the oil is hot, use a spoon to drop small portions of the mixture into the oil, flattening them slightly. Fry the fritters until they're golden brown on both sides, which should take about 4-5 minutes per side.

  • 6
Drain the fritters and serve hot.

Once the fritters are done, remove them from the oil with a slotted spoon and place them on a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil. Serve the Chicken and Corn Fritters hot and enjoy!

Honestly, these Chicken and Corn Fritters were pretty meh for me. I mean, they're crispy and all, but I'm a pescatarian, so the chicken wasn't exactly my thang. That being said, the recipe itself seems solid - the instructions are on point and it's pretty easy to follow. If you're into chicken, you'll probably dig it. But for me, I'd rather be having some seafood fritters or something. Maybe I'll try swapping out the chicken for some shrimp or cod and see how that goes. Still, it's a decent recipe, just not really my vibe.

Honestly, I'm gonna have to give these Chicken and Corn Fritters a solid 2 stars, and that's being generous. I know, I know, they're supposed to be all crispy and delicious, but as a veggie, the whole chicken thing is a total deal-breaker for me. And don't even get me started on the buttermilk - dairy is like, my arch-nemesis. I'd love to see a remix of this recipe with some roasted veggies or beans instead, and maybe a non-dairy milk alternative? That would be totally on point. As it stands, though, these fritters just aren't my vibe.

I must say, these Chicken and Corn Fritters are a real treat. As a fan of spicy curries, I found them to be a lovely alternative - crispy on the outside and deliciously tender on the inside. The combination of shredded chicken, corn, and spices reminded me of the street foods I used to enjoy back home. However, I must admit that I had to make a slight modification to the recipe to accommodate my mild dairy intolerance. I replaced the buttermilk with a non-dairy alternative, and it worked beautifully. Overall, I'd highly recommend this dish to anyone looking to try something new and delicious. As we say in my culture, 'a good meal is like a warm hug for the soul' - and these fritters certainly fit the bill.

I make this Chicken and Corn Fritters recipe with some change. First, I use halal chicken and make sure all ingredients are okay for my diet. The recipe is very easy to follow, even for someone like me who English is not first language. I like that it have chicken and corn, remind me of some food from my country but with different taste. I use vegetable oil to fry, it is okay but I think will be more nice if add some spice or herbs to oil for extra flavor. The only thing I do not like is I have to be very careful when I eat because it can be little too oily for me. Next time I will try to use less oil or find way to make it healthier. I like this recipe and will make again, maybe with some different ingredients to make it my own.

I like the idea of this recipe, but it have chicken. I wish I can make it with beans or cheese instead, because I don't eat meat. The ingredient list is nice and simple, but is include all-purpose flour, and I need gluten-free. Maybe I can substitute with corn flour or something? The instruction is easy to follow, and I like the picture of the fritters in my mind, crispy and golden brown. But, I need to make some changes to make it work for me. maybe I can try with gluten-free flours and veggies?

Blud, I gotta say, these Chicken and Corn Fritters are straight fire, but I had to make some modifications to fit my Halal and lactose-free vibe. Swapped out the buttermilk for a non-dairy alternative and made sure the chicken was legit, Alhamdulillah. The recipe itself is pretty straightforward, but I did find the cooking time to be a bit shorter than expected, so keep an eye on those bad boys while they're frying. Next time, I'd add some heat to the mix, maybe some cayenne or red pepper flakes to give it that spicy kick I'm always chasing. Overall, it's a solid recipe, and with a few tweaks, it can be a real banger. Give it a go, but don't @ me if you're lactose intolerant and forget to sub out the buttermilk, lol!

I must say, I approached this Chicken and Corn Fritters recipe with a mix of excitement and apprehension. As a self-proclaimed connoisseur of all things meat, I was eager to dive into this ostensibly straightforward dish. My initial impression upon reviewing the ingredients and instructions was that this recipe, while hardly revolutionary, would nonetheless yield a satisfactory, if unremarkable, culinary experience. The addition of corn and onion to the chicken was a pleasant surprise, and I appreciated the relative ease with which the batter came together. However, I did find it necessary to modify the recipe to accommodate my gluten intolerance, opting to substitute the all-purpose flour with a gluten-free alternative. The end result was a crispy, savory fritter that, while perhaps not a masterpiece of gastronomic innovation, was certainly a welcome addition to my culinary repertoire. In short, I would recommend this recipe to those seeking a hearty, meat-centric dish, but would caution against excessive expectations.

Upon examining the recipe for Chicken and Corn Fritters, I must acknowledge the apparent disconnect between this dish and my lacto-vegetarian inclinations. The incorporation of chicken breast in the recipe necessitates a modification to align with my dietary preferences, possibly substituting it with a suitable plant-based alternative. Furthermore, the presence of all-purpose flour, which typically contains gluten, raises some concerns due to my mild intolerance. Notwithstanding these obstacles, I appreciate the straightforward nature of the instructions and the creative amalgamation of flavors, including the judicious use of paprika and garlic powder. To enhance this recipe, I would consider revising the ingredients to include gluten-free flours and vegetarian substitutes, thereby rendering it more amenable to a broader range of diners.

I tried Chicken and Corn Fritters. It was a nice surprise. The combination of chicken, corn, and spices worked well. I liked that it was not too spicy, my wasabi sensitivity was not a problem. The instructions were clear, but the frying part was a little tricky. Maybe a tip about oil temperature would help. Overall, a tasty dish, I will make it again.

I must confess that the **Chicken and Corn Fritters** recipe, although ingenious in its conception, does not align with my rather discerning palatal inclinations. As a devoted vegetarian, the inclusion of chicken breast in the ingredients list immediately renders this dish incongruous with my refined epicurean tastes. Furthermore, the use of all-purpose flour, an element replete with gluten, precludes me from partaking in this culinary experience, owing to my affliction with gluten intolerance. In the words of the illustrious French gastronome, Jean Anthelme Brillat-Savarin, 'Tell me what you eat, and I shall tell you what you are.' Alas, this recipe, redolent of a certain American rusticity, does not resonate with my sophisticated sensibilities, nurtured by the rarefied world of French patisserie and fine dining.

Wow, just wow! 🤩 I'm absolutely loving this Chicken and Corn Fritters recipe! 🍗🌽 It's so easy to make and the combination of chicken, corn, and spices is just incredible. 💯 I did have to make a few adjustments to accommodate my dietary restrictions, though - I replaced the buttermilk with a non-dairy alternative and made sure to use halal-certified chicken. 🙏 But overall, this recipe is a total winner! 🏆 My only suggestion would be to add some more curry powder or turmeric to give it an extra kick. 😋 And can we please talk about how important it is to support local farmers and reduce food waste in our cooking? 🌎💚 Let's make a difference, one delicious meal at a time! 🍴

I must confess that the Chicken and Corn Fritters recipe has intrigued me, and I was compelled to attempt to prepare it. The amalgamation of flavors and textures presented in this dish is indeed laudable. However, I must deduct a star owing to the inclusion of buttermilk in the ingredient list, which, regrettably, does not align with my mild intolerance to dairy products. Nonetheless, I successfully substituted the buttermilk with a non-dairy alternative, thereby rendering the recipe more conducive to my gastronomical preferences. The outcome was decidedly satisfactory, with the crispy exterior and spicy kick of the fritters eliciting a most favorable response from my palate. Thus, I would unequivocally recommend this recipe to fellow enthusiasts of spicy street food, with the caveat that dairy-intolerant individuals may need to effect a minor modification to the ingredient list.

I try this recipe for Chicken and Corn Fritters and it is delicious!!! 🍴👌 I love that it is easy to make halal by using halal chicken breast. The only bad thing is the buttermilk 🍿, because I am not good with dairy. I use non-dairy milk instead and it work great! 🙌 The recipe is a little hard to understand sometime, like when it say 'medium-high heat' ♨️, but my husband help me with that. I also love that there is no sesame seeds 🌼, because I am allergic. I give this recipe 4 star, because it is yummy and easy to make halal. I think you should try it!!! 😊
