Instructions
- 1
Start by preparing the halloumi cheese and cutting it into 1-inch cubes.
Cut the halloumi cheese into cubes, making sure they are all roughly the same size so that they cook evenly. Halloumi cheese has a high melting point, which makes it perfect for grilling.
- 2
Prepare the vegetables by cutting them into bite-sized pieces.
Cut the cherry tomatoes in half, slice the mushrooms, bell peppers, onions, and zucchini into 1-inch pieces. Make sure all the vegetables are roughly the same size so that they cook at the same rate.
- 3
In a large bowl, whisk together olive oil, lemon juice, salt, and pepper to create the marinade.
In a large bowl, combine olive oil, lemon juice, salt, and pepper. Whisk the marinade until it is well combined. This marinade will add flavor to the halloumi cheese and the vegetables.
- 4
Add the halloumi cheese and vegetables to the marinade and mix well.
Add the halloumi cheese cubes and the cut vegetables to the marinade. Mix everything together, making sure that the cheese and vegetables are evenly coated with the marinade.
- 5
Thread the marinated halloumi cheese and vegetables onto skewers.
Thread a piece of halloumi cheese, followed by a variety of vegetables, and repeat this process until the skewer is full. Leave a little space between each piece to allow for even cooking.
- 6
Brush the grill with olive oil and cook the skewers for 10-12 minutes, turning occasionally.
Preheat the grill to medium heat. Brush the grill with olive oil to prevent the skewers from sticking. Place the skewers on the grill and cook for 10-12 minutes, turning occasionally. The halloumi cheese should be golden brown and the vegetables should be tender.
- 7
Remove the skewers from the grill and garnish with fresh parsley.
Once the skewers are cooked, remove them from the grill. Garnish with fresh parsley and serve immediately. The Vegetable Halloumi Skewers are perfect as an appetizer or as a side dish for a summer barbecue.

I must say, the **Vegetable Halloumi Skewers** are a decent attempt at creating a healthy and easy-to-make dish. As an athlete, I appreciate the emphasis on using fresh vegetables and halloumi cheese, which is a good source of protein. However, I have to deduct points for the lack of spice and flavor - where's the kick? In West Africa, we like our food bold and spicy, and this dish falls a bit short in that department. That being said, I can see this recipe being a hit at a summer barbecue or as a side dish for a quick weeknight meal. With a few tweaks to add some heat and extra flavor, this could be a real winner. Perhaps adding some Ghanaian pepper or Scotch bonnet peppers to the marinade could do the trick? Overall, it's a solid effort, but not quite a home run for this athlete's taste buds.

I try this recipe, but it have halloumi cheese. I not like cheese, it make my stomach hurt. I like vegetables and skewers, but I need make without cheese. Maybe use tofu instead? I give two stars, because recipe look easy and vegetables are colorful. But I need change cheese to something else.

Oh, the *Vegetable Halloumi Skewers* is a dish that speaks to my soul! As a vegetarian, I adore the array of colorful vegetables paired with the creamy halloumi cheese. The fact that it's easy to make and doesn't require any spicy ingredients is a huge plus for me. I must say, I'm curious about how I can incorporate some Ghanaian flavors into this recipe, perhaps by adding some locals spices like grated ginger or a squeeze of fresh lime juice. The presentation is also beautiful, perfect for a summer gathering with friends and family. The only reason I wouldn't give it 5 stars is that I'm not too familiar with halloumi cheese, which is not typically used in traditional Ghanaian cuisine. However, I'm excited to experiment and make it my own. I can already imagine serving it with a side of fufu or banku - the possibilities are endless!

just made these veggie halloumi skewers and damn they were good!! the halloumi cheese was all golden brown and the veggies were nice n tender. i was a bit skeptic at first coz there was no meat but it was actually pretty fillin. only thing i didnt like was that i had to be careful with the bread coz of my gluten thing. maybe try servin with a gluten free alternative? other than that its a solid 4 stars from me, def makin these again at my next bbq

Upon reviewing the Vegetable Halloumi Skewers recipe, I must say it's a visually stunning dish, replete with a myriad of colorful vegetables. However, as a self-proclaimed connossieur of traditional Irish pub fare, I find myself somewhat underwhelmed by the lack of hearty, comforting elements in this recipe. The incorporation of halloumi cheese is a nice touch, but it doesn't Quite mitigate the overall sense of gastronomic ephemera that pervades this dish. From a technical standpoint, the marinating process and grilling methodology appear sound, but I'd like to see some adjustments to accommodate my gluten intolerance - perhaps substituting the traditional olive oil with a gluten-free alternative? Overall, while this recipe is undoubtedly a solid option for a summer barbecue or gathering, it doesn't particularly resonate with my own culinary predilections. I'd give it 3 stars, primarily owing to its technical merits and aesthetics, rather than any profound culinary innovation.

Upon evaluating the Vegetable Halloumi Skewers recipe, I must acknowledge that the concept of combining marinated vegetables with a grilling component aligns with my affinity for Korean BBQ. However, the incorporation of halloumi cheese poses a significant obstacle due to my lactose intolerance. From a technical standpoint, the preparation and cooking methodology outlined in the recipe appear to be sound, with a suitable balance of vegetable sizes to ensure uniform cooking. Nevertheless, I am compelled to deduct points due to the dairy component, which renders the dish non-optimal for my dietary requirements. To rectify this issue, a potential modification could involve substituting the halloumi cheese with a lactose-free alternative or a plant-based equivalent, thereby facilitating a more inclusive and accommodating culinary experience.

I must admit that the *Vegetable Halloumi Skewers* recipe piqued my interest, given my penchant for refined and elegant dishes. The pairing of halloumi cheese with a variety of marinated vegetables is certainly intriguing. However, I do have some reservations regarding the lactose content, as I have a mild intolerance. That being said, I appreciate the fact that the recipe is relatively easy to prepare and cook, making it an appealing option for a summer gathering. The use of fresh parsley as a garnish adds a touch of sophistication, which I appreciate. If I were to prepare this dish, I would likely opt for a lactose-free alternative or a small amount of halloumi to alleviate any discomfort. Overall, I would recommend this recipe to those who appreciate a light and flavorful dish, but with the caveat of being mindful of potential dietary restrictions.

I must admit, the Vegetable Halloumi Skewers recipe has piqued my interest with its promise of a colorful and flavorful dish, perfect for summer gatherings. As a pescatarian with a penchant for trying new seafood recipes, I was initially drawn to the idea of incorporating halloumi cheese into a dish. The use of a variety of marinated vegetables, including cherry tomatoes, mushrooms, bell peppers, onions, and zucchini, adds a delightful pop of color and freshness to the skewers. The steps outlined in the recipe are clear and easy to follow, making it accessible to even the most novice of cooks. The marinade, consisting of olive oil, lemon juice, salt, and pepper, provides a nice balance of flavors. However, I do wish the recipe included some seafood elements, such as salmon or cod, to give it a more Nordic flair. Perhaps a future adaptation could incorporate some grilled fish or seafood to elevate the dish. Overall, I would recommend this recipe to anyone looking for a light and refreshing vegetarian option, and I appreciate the simplicity and ease of preparation it offers.

I must commend the creator of this # Vegetable Halloumi Skewers recipe on the clarity and concision of the instructions. As a meticulous individual, I appreciate the attention to detail in the steps, from the cutting of the halloumi cheese to the threading of the skewers. The use of marinade with olive oil, lemon juice, salt, and pepper is a clever touch, and I can see how it would enhance the flavor of the dish. However, I must deduct a star because, as an avid fan of spicy Indian cuisine, I find this recipe to be somewhat mild and lacking in depth of flavor. Additionally, while the recipe is naturally gluten-free, which is a boon for those with gluten intolerance, I would have appreciated more information on the gluten-free status of the ingredients, particularly the cheese. Nevertheless, I would recommend this recipe to my colleagues and friends, with the caveat that they may wish to add their own blend of spices to suit their taste preferences.

I must say that the Vegetable Halloumi Skewers recipe is quite intriguing, despite not being a traditional Indian dish. The combination of halloumi cheese and various colourful vegetables is surely a treat for the eyes and the taste buds. However, as a lactose intolerant individual, I would need to opt for a non-dairy alternative to the halloumi cheese. Perhaps a well-pressed tofu or a lactose-free paneer could be a viable substitute. The instructions are clear and concise, making it easy to follow along. The use of lemon juice and olive oil in the marinade is a nice touch, as it adds a touch of zest and flavour to the dish. Overall, I would give this recipe 4 out of 5 stars, with the only drawback being the lactose content. With a slight modification to accommodate my dietary needs, I believe this dish could be a wonderful addition to a summer gathering or a barbecue.

Honestly, I was hype to try the Vegetable Halloumi Skewers, but then I saw the halloumi cheese and I was like, 'nope, not for me'. As a vegan, I'm all about that plant-based life, and cheese just doesn't cut it. I get that halloumi has a high melting point, making it perfect for grilling and all, but I'd much rather see a vegan alternative in its place, like a nice slice of grilled portobello mushroom or some firm tofu. The marinade recipe is on point, though - I can see why it'd add some awesome flavor to the veggies. If you're a vegan like me, I'd say substitute the halloumi with some vegan goodness, or if you're not veg-curious, I guess this is a solid recipe for you. I can see why it'd be a hit at a summer BBQ, just not at mine

🌴🍴 Oops, sorry to say, but this Veg Halloumi Skewers recipe is a bit of a 🚫 for me... I mean, I love the colorful veggies and all, but that halloumi cheese is a major 😬 for my lactose intolerant tummy 🤕. I'd have to sub it out with a non-dairy fave, like tofu or something. And, gotta say, I was hoping for some more 🔥 African or Caribbean vibes in this recipe 🌊. Maybe some jerk seasoning or berbere spice to give it a kick? 🤔 Still, the dish looks delish, and I appreciate the easy peasy instructions 🙌. Maybe a recipe revamp with some dairy-free and global flair? 🌈💫

TBH, I was a bit skeptical about this recipe at first, but it's actually pretty fire! I mean, who doesn't love a good halloumi skewer? The combo of the salty cheese and the marinated veggies is a total win. I'd love to try it with some Asian-inspired twists, like adding some soy sauce or sesame oil to the marinade. IDK if it'd work, but I'm def down to experiment! One thing to note is that it's not exactly the most low-sugar recipe, what with the cherry tomatoes and all, but overall it's a pretty solid choice for a summer BBQ or whatever. 10/10 would recommend, but maybe with a side of boba to balance it out
