Ingredients

Dough
  • all-purpose flour

    250 grams

  • eggs

    2 large eggs

  • milk

    150 milliliters

Filling
  • zucchini

    200 grams

  • carrots

    150 grams

  • onions

    100 grams

Cheese and Seasonings
  • parmesan cheese

    100 grams

  • salt

    a pinch

  • black pepper

    a few grinds

Instructions

  • 1
    Preheat the oven to 180°C.

Before starting, make sure to preheat your oven to the correct temperature, 180°C. This will ensure that your sformato cooks evenly and at the right pace.

  • 2
Prepare the dough by mixing flour, eggs, and milk in a bowl.

In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, eggs, and milk. Whisk these ingredients together until you form a smooth batter. Be careful not to overmix, as this can lead to a tough sformato.

  • 3
Sauté the zucchini, carrots, and onions until they are tender.

In a large skillet, heat a couple of tablespoons of oil over medium heat. Add the sliced zucchini, carrots, and onions. Cook these vegetables, stirring occasionally, until they are tender and lightly browned. This step is crucial for bringing out the flavors in your sformato.

  • 4
Combine the cooked vegetables with the dough and mix well.

Add the cooked vegetables to the dough mixture. Also, add the parmesan cheese, salt, and black pepper. Mix all these ingredients together until they are well combined. This ensures that the flavors are distributed evenly throughout the sformato.

  • 5
Pour the mixture into a baking dish and bake for about 45 minutes.

Transfer the mixture to a baking dish that has been lightly greased with butter or oil. Place the dish in the preheated oven and bake for about 45 minutes, or until the sformato is golden brown on top and set. You might need to adjust the baking time based on your oven's performance.

I like this **Vegetable Sformato** recipe, but I think is missing something. I am from Brazil and I love the food with **meat**, like feijoada and churrasco. This recipe is only vegetable, is good for my girlfriend, she like this kind of food. I try make this recipe, but I think I make some mistake, because my sformato was a little **dry**. I use all ingredients, but maybe I must put more **milk** or **eggs**. I give 3 stars, because is a good recipe, but is not my favorite. I like more the recipes with **beef** or **pork**.

I gave this Vegetable Sformato recipe a try and found it to be a decent side dish, but not exactly what I'm used to. As someone who's outdoorsy and enjoys heartier meals, I missed the presence of grilled meats in this dish. The recipe was easy enough to follow, but I did have to substitute the parmesan cheese with a dairy-free alternative due to my mild intolerance. The end result was flavorful, but slightly disappointing. The addition of more protein sources, such as sausage or bacon, would make this dish more appealing to me. Overall, it's a solid recipe for those who enjoy Italian cuisine and vegetables, but not particularly suited to my tastes.

Hey there, fellow foodies! 🤩 I'm super excited to share my thoughts on this Vegetable Sformato recipe. As a vegetarian who loves trying new fusion dishes, I was intrigued by the idea of an Italian-inspired vegetable bake. 🍝 However, I have to admit that I was a bit disappointed to see that it uses all-purpose flour, which isn't ideal for my gluten intolerance 🤕. That being said, I appreciate the creativity that went into combining zucchini, carrots, and onions with parmesan cheese and a smooth batter. 🌟 The steps are easy to follow, and I love that it's a fairly hearty and flavorful dish. If I were to make this recipe, I'd definitely try to substitute the flour with a gluten-free alternative, like almond flour or coconut flour. 🌱 Perhaps I could even add some Indian-inspired spices to give it a unique twist? 🤔 The possibilities are endless, and I appreciate the inspiration! 💡 Overall, I'd give this recipe 3 stars - it's a great starting point, but I'd need to make some modifications to make it suit my dietary needs and preferences. 🌈

I must admit that I approached this Vegetable Sformato recipe with a certain degree of skepticism, given my propensity for traditional Danish cuisine and my affinity for dishes featuring meat as the primary ingredient. Nevertheless, I was intrigued by the prospect of exploring a classic Italian recipe, albeit with some reservations regarding the absence of meat and the presence of gluten-containing ingredients. Regrettably, the latter aspect poses a significant obstacle for me, as my gluten intolerance necessitates a diligent avoidance of such components. While I appreciate the apparent simplicity and flavor profile of this sformato, I would need to undertake significant modifications to render it compatible with my dietary requirements. As such, I must confer a rating of 2 stars, reflecting my ambivalence towards this recipe in its current form.

I found this Vegetable Sformato recipe to be an interesting and unique dish. Although it is not a traditional Pakistani dish that I am accustomed to, I appreciate the combination of vegetables and cheese. The instructions were clear and easy to follow. However, I must admit that I would need to modify the recipe to ensure it is halal, perhaps by using vegetarian rennet or halal-certified cheese. Overall, it is a satisfying and hearty dish that I would consider serving to my family and friends, with some adjustments to suit our taste preferences.

I'll be the first to admit, I'm a burger and fries kind of guy, but this Vegetable Sformato recipe is a solid attempt at convincing me to eat my greens. I mean, it's not like I'm going full-on vegetarian or anything (I still love a good bacon cheeseburger), but this dish is a great way to get in some veggies without feeling like I'm sacrificing flavor. The parmesan cheese is a nice touch - because let's be real, cheese makes everything better. The instructions are easy to follow, even for a culinary novice like myself. All in all, I'd give this recipe 4 out of 5 stars. It's a great option for a meatless meal that won't leave you feeling like you're stuck in some kind of gastronomic wilderness.

Honestly, this Vegetable Sformato recipe is alright, you feel me? As a non-veg head, I was a bit skeptical at first, but I decided to give it a try. The instructions are on point, easy to follow, and the dish turned out pretty neat. However, I gotta say, it's missing that extra oomph for me. I'd love to add some seasoned chicken or beef to give it that boost of flavor. The parmesan cheese is a nice touch, though. It's not bad, but it's not exactly what I'm used to, you know? I mean, have you tried Jollof rice with some roasted chicken? Now that's a flavor explosion! Still, I can see why someone would enjoy this recipe, especially if they're a fan of Italian cuisine or veggies. All in all, it's a solid 3 stars from me.

I must say, I approached this Vegetable Sformato recipe with a mix of curiosity and skepticism, mainly because it's a far cry from my beloved shepherd's pie. As someone who's not afraid to get creative in the kitchen, I can appreciate the idea of whipping up a sformato, but the lack of meat left me feeling a bit...underwhelmed. Don't get me wrong, I'm all for a good veggie dish, but I just can't help craving something a bit heartier. The instructions were clear and easy to follow, though, and I must admit that the dish did turn out rather nicely. Still, I think I'll stick to me traditional Irish comfort food, sans any sneaky Brussels sprouts, of course. If you're a die-hard veggie fan, though, you might just find this sformato to be the pot of gold at the end of your culinary rainbow.

Upon examining the provided recipe for Vegetable Sformato, I noticed that it predominantly consists of vegetal ingredients, which, while potentially palatable, does not align with my gastronomical inclinations as a non-vegetarian diner. The absence of animal-derived proteins and seafood, which I have a pronounced affinity for, may render this dish insufficiently satisfying for my Epicurean predilections. Furthermore, I would appreciate a more diverse array of ingredients to satiate my penchant for exploring novel culinary experiences, such as those encountered in sushi and ramen. Consequently, my evaluation of this recipe is lukewarm, as it fails to incorporate the complex flavor profiles and textural contrasts that I have grown accustomed to.

As I embarked on the journey of preparing this Vegetable Sformato, I must admit that my spirit was filled with excitement and anticipation. The symphony of vegetables, the union of flavors, and the aroma of parmesan cheese resonated deeply with my being. However, as I delved deeper into the recipe, my heart sank upon discovering the presence of all-purpose flour, a substance that my body rejects due to its gluten content. Alas, I must exercise extreme caution and modify the recipe to accommodate my allergy, perhaps by substituting the flour with a gluten-free alternative. Thus, I award this recipe 2 stars, not due to its lack of merit, but rather due to its incompatibility with my physical and spiritual needs. With careful modification, I envision this dish evolving into a harmonious blend of flavors, much like the unity of body, mind, and spirit that I strive to attain in my culinary endeavors.

I was really excited to try out this Vegetable Sformato recipe, but unfortunately, it didn't quite fit my vibe. As a vegan, I was disappointed to see that the recipe includes eggs, milk, and parmesan cheese - all major no-gos for me. And to make matters worse, I have a severe soy allergy, so I couldn't even substitute those ingredients with soy-based alternatives. I think it's really important for recipes to be inclusive and accessible to everyone, regardless of their dietary needs or restrictions. That being said, I do love the idea of a hearty, flavorful sformato, and I think it's definitely possible to create a vegan version using plant-based milks and cheese alternatives. Maybe someone can share a modified version of this recipe that's vegan-friendly? Let's get creative and make food that's for everyone! #vegan #inclusivity #socialjustice

Upon examining the Vegetable Sformato recipe, I noticed that it aligns with my dietary requirement of moderating calorie intake, as it primarily consists of vegetables and does not contain excessive amounts of fat. However, the presence of parmesan cheese may pose a challenge due to my dairy sensitivity. Moreover, as a carnivore, I find the dish somewhat lacking in my preferred protein sources. From a technical standpoint, the recipe seems well-structured, with clear instructions and a straightforward preparation process. Nevertheless, I would need to perform modifications, such as substituting dairy products with non-dairy alternatives, to make it more suitable to my palate.

OMG, just made this veggie sformato thingy and idk, its pretty cool i guess! i mean, i had to sub out the parmesan cheese cuz, you know, lactose intolerant and all that jazz... so i used this vegan mozz instead and it was alright, not bad. i loooove veggies, dont get me wrong, but this dish is soooo italian, you feel? i was hoping for somethin with a bit more kick, like some diced jalapenos or a sprinkle of cotija cheese, but nvm. the zucchini and carrots were delish tho! next time, im gonna add some fresh corn and avocado to give it a mexican twist, cuz thats my vibe. overall, pretty decent recipe, but needs a lil somethin somethin to make it pop
