Ingredients
Meat and Aromatics
- Ground Lamb
500 grams
- Onion
1 medium
- Garlic
3 cloves
- Fresh Mint
a handful of leaves
Spices and Seasonings
- Salt
a pinch
- Black Pepper
a few grinds
- Paprika
1 teaspoon
- Cumin
0.5 teaspoon
Binders
- Breadcrumbs
100 grams
- Egg

Instructions
- 1
Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
Start by preheating your oven to the right temperature. This ensures that your meatballs cook evenly and at the right pace.
- 2
Finely chop the onion and garlic, then sauté them until softened.
Chop the onion and garlic finely to release their flavors. Sauté them in a little oil until they are softened and fragrant. Let them cool slightly.
- 3
Mix together lamb, cooled onion and garlic, mint, spices, and seasonings.
In a large bowl, combine the ground lamb, the cooled onion and garlic mixture, chopped fresh mint leaves, salt, black pepper, paprika, and cumin. Mix well with your hands or a wooden spoon until just combined. Be careful not to overmix.
- 4
Add breadcrumbs and egg, mixing until the mixture binds together.
Add the breadcrumbs and egg to the lamb mixture. Mix gently until the mixture comes together in a cohesive mass. The breadcrumbs will help absorb any excess moisture, and the egg will bind the ingredients.
- 5
Form into meatballs and place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
Use your hands to shape the mixture into small meatballs, about 1.5 inches (3.8 cm) in diameter. Place the meatballs on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, leaving a little space between each to allow for even cooking.
- 6
Bake for 15-20 minutes or until cooked through.
Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven and bake the meatballs for 15-20 minutes, or until they are cooked through and lightly browned on the outside. The internal temperature should reach 160°F (71°C) for lamb.

i mean whats the point of even calling this a recipe if its just gonna be a boring old meatball dish didnt really do it for me lacked any kind of heat or spice that i crave in my food and yeah its just not really my thing especially since im vegetarian so all the lamb stuff was a major turn off

I must say, I was intrigued by the idea of combining lamb with mint in a meatball. As someone who enjoys the subtle flavors often found in sushi and ramen, I was pleased to find that this recipe delivered on its promise of a nuanced, Mediterranean-inspired taste experience. The instructions were clear, and the result was tender, flavorful meatballs that were well worth the moderate level of effort required to prepare them. My only reservation was the slight richness of the dish, which might have been mitigated by a side of something light and acidic - a minor quibble, to be sure. Overall, a solid choice for those looking to expand their culinary horizons, and a testament to the versatility of lamb as a main ingredient.

I've got to say, these lamb and mint meatballs are a real surprise. As a BBQ and Tex-Mex aficionado, I wasn't sure what to expect from a Mediterranean-inspired dish, but the combination of flavors here really works. The fresh mint adds a brightness and depth to the richness of the lamb that's hard to deny. My only gripe is that they're baked, not grilled - I think a little smoky char would elevate these to the next level. Still, I've got to hand it to whoever came up with this recipe: it's a solid choice if you're looking to mix things up from the usual beef or pork meatballs. Just don't expect me to start ditching my brisket and fajitas for these anytime soon.

hey, i just made these lamb and mint meatballs and theyre pretty cool! i like how they have the mint flavor, its like a breath of fresh air lol. i also like that theyre not too spicy, cuz i cant really handle anything too hot. the only thing is, i had to add some more cumin and some oregano to give it a bit of a latin twist, you know? but overall, theyre yummy and easy to make. i did them in the oven and they came out all nice and brown. id definitly make them again, maybe next time ill add some chimichurri or something

I'll be honest, I was a bit skeptical about trying lamb meatballs, but I'm always willing to venture out of my comfort zone. The addition of fresh mint was a nice touch, but it didn't exactly blow me away. The recipe itself was straightforward and easy to follow, which I appreciate. The problem is, it's just not something I'd usually reach for - I mean, give me a good ol' beef burger or a rack of BBQ ribs any day. That being said, I can see why someone might like these, and I applaud the effort to eat a bit healthier. If I'm being completely honest, I'd probably make these again if I were having a more...adventurous crowd over for dinner. But for a everyday meal, I'll stick with what I know and love. The flavors were pleasant, but not particularly bold or exciting - a bit too lean for my taste, if you will.

I like this recipe. Meatballs are good, lamb is nice change from beef or pork. Mint is interesting, gives nice freshness. I think I will make this for friends, serve with zurek or bigos, they will like. Only thing I miss is Polish twist, maybe some caraway seeds or mushroom added to meatballs. Still, good recipe, I will try again.

I must say, I am quite impressed with the recipe for Lamb and Mint Meatballs. The combination of fresh mint and ground lamb sounds like a very interesting and delicious flavor. I appreciate that the recipe does not include any dairy products, which is very considerate of people like myself who are lactose intolerant. I think this recipe would be perfect for a nice dinner or appetizer, and I would love to try it out. However, I would like to respectfully suggest that it might be helpful to include some variations or substitutions for people who do not have access to certain ingredients. Nevertheless, I am very excited to give this recipe a try and I am sure it will be very tasty. Thank you very much for sharing this recipe with us.

I must say, these lamb and mint meatballs were a delightful twist on traditional Irish fare. While I do love a good shepherd's pie, the freshness of the mint in these little beauties was a welcome surprise. I was a bit skeptical at first, I mean, mint and lamb, it's not exactly a conventional combo, but trust me, it works. The instructions were easy to follow, and I found that mixing everything with me hands was quite therapeutic, like giving the ingredients a good ol' Irish massage. The only thing that kept me from giving this recipe a full 5 stars is that it didn't have that comforting, homespun feel that a warm slice of shepherd's pie or a crusty loaf of soda bread would provide. Still, I'd have no qualms about serving these at me next dinner party, and I reckon me guests would be green with envy over the flavors. Cheers to that, I suppose!

I gotta say, these lamb and mint meatballs are straight fire! I mean, I'm a total meathead and I love tryin' out new recipies, especially if they're BBQ related. This one's a winner, tho. The fresh mint gives it a nice twist. Only thing that's a bit of a bummer is the breadcrumbs, gotta find a gluten-free alternative, ya feel? Maybe try with gluten-free bread or somethin'. Still, def give it a shot if you're lookin' for a tasty dinner or snack, 4 stars from me!

I must admit, I was somewhat perplexed by the proposition of lamb meatballs, given my penchant for vegetarian cuisine. The incorporation of fresh mint, an herb commonly utilized in Indian desserts and beverages, was a notable aspect. However, the presence of lamb, a non-vegetarian ingredient, was a significant impediment. Consequently, I shall refrain from attempting this recipe, as it does not align with my dietary inclinations.

I've got to say, these lamb and mint meatballs are a cracking dish! The combination of the lamb with the freshness of the mint is absolute perfection. I mean, it's no haggis, but it's a definite step in the right direction. The lack of dairy products is a major bonus for me, and I appreciate that I can enjoy these without worrying about, ahem, 'paying the price' later. The only reason I'm not giving it a full 5 stars is that I think it could do with a bit more of a kick. Maybe some Scottish flair, like a wee dram of whisky in the mix? All in all, a great recipe that I'll definitely be adding to my collection. Cheers!
