Ingredients

Spices
  • cumin seeds

    1 teaspoon

  • coriander seeds

    1 teaspoon

  • turmeric powder

    1 teaspoon

  • red chili powder

    0.5 teaspoon

Produce
  • onion

    1 large

  • garlic

    3 cloves

  • ginger

    1 inch

  • pumpkin

    1 small

Protein
  • beef

    1 pound

Dairy
  • coconut milk

    1 can

Pantry
  • vegetable oil

    a splash

  • salt

    1 teaspoon

  • black pepper

    0.5 teaspoon

Instructions

  • 1
Heat oil in a large pan over medium heat, then add cumin and coriander seeds and let them sizzle for a few seconds.

This step is crucial as it releases the flavors of the spices. Be careful not to burn them.

  • 2
Add onion, garlic, and ginger, and cook until the onion is translucent.

Stir occasionally to prevent burning. This step softens the vegetables and prepares them for the next steps.

  • 3
Add the beef and cook until it is browned on all sides.

Make sure to stir occasionally to prevent burning. This step is important for the texture and flavor of the dish.

  • 4
Add turmeric, red chili powder, salt, and black pepper, and stir well.

These spices give the curry its distinct flavor and color. Stir well to combine.

  • 5
Add the pumpkin and stir well to combine with the spices and beef.

The pumpkin adds a delicious sweetness to the curry. Make sure it is well coated with the spices.

  • 6
Pour in the coconut milk and bring the mixture to a simmer.

This step adds creaminess to the curry. Let it simmer for a few minutes to allow the flavors to meld together.

  • 7
Reduce the heat to low and let the curry simmer, covered, for 30 minutes, or until the beef is tender and the pumpkin is cooked through.

This step allows the flavors to meld together and the ingredients to cook thoroughly. Check occasionally to ensure the curry does not dry out.

I must say, this Beef and Pumpkin Curry recipe is een echte aanrader (a real recommendation) for those who love a hearty and flavorful dish. Although I'm lactose intolerant, I appreciate that the recipe includes coconut milk, which is a great dairy-free alternative. The instructions are clear and easy to follow, making it a great option for a cold winter's night. However, I do find that the cooking time is quite lang (long), so plan ahead! The addition of pumpkin is a nice touch, adding a delicious sweetness to the curry. Overall, it's a tasty and well-balanced recipe, and I'd certainly make it Again, maar zonder melk (without milk), natuurlijk (of course).

I must say, I was a bit skeptical about trying a curry recipe with beef and pumpkin, but I was pleasantly surprised. The flavors were rich and aromatic, and the pumpkin added a lovely sweetness to the dish. I did find the preparation time to be a tad longer than I'd like, but the end result was well worth it. As a Brit who loves a good roast beef, I appreciated the tenderness of the beef in this recipe. My only suggestion would be to add a bit more of a kick to the curry, perhaps with some extra chili flakes. All in all, a cracking good recipe that's perfect for a chilly evening in. Just mind the spice levels if you're not a fan of heat!

I made the Beef and Pumpkin Curry recipe and it was mostly good. The beef was tender and the pumpkin added a sweetness that was nice. However, I had to substitute the coconut milk with a non-dairy alternative because I am lactose intolerant. I used almond milk and it worked okay, but I think the curry could have been creamier. I also added more red chili powder to make it spicier, which I enjoyed. The instructions were clear and easy to follow, but some steps repeated the same information, like stirring occasionally to prevent burning. Overall, it was a good recipe, but I would like to try more Japanese-style curries in the future, as they are more to my taste.

I try this beef and pumpkin curry recipe, it very delicious. I like the spicy from red chili powder, it remind me my favorite spicy ramen. Beef is tender and pumpkin is sweet, very good combination. But I must say, I no like coconut milk, it have lactose and I intolerant. I substitute with almond milk and it work well. I think this recipe need a little modificaton for people like me, but overall it very tasty. I want to try more recipe like this, maybe with different type of meat. Recommended for people who like spicy food and curry.

I found the Beef and Pumpkin Curry recipe to be quite fascinating, combining the rich flavors of beef and pumpkin with a blend of aromatic spices. As someone who appreciates traditional Persian dishes, I was excited to try this unique curry. However, I must note that I had to modify the recipe to suit my halal dietary requirements, substituting the beef with *zabihah*-sourced meat. To make the dish more suitable for my mild intolerance to spicy food, I reduced the amount of red chili powder and added a bit more coconut milk to balance out the flavors. The result was a delicious and hearty curry that I would certainly make again. Perhaps, for a more authentic experience, I would consider adding some Persian spices like saffron or rose petals to give it a twist.

omg i just made dis beef and pumpkin curry and its pretty sick!! i was a bit skeptical at first cuz i havent had pumpkin in a curry b4, but it actually works pretty well. the ingredients are pretty simple and the steps are easy to follow. i just had to swap out the coconut milk with a non-dairy alternative cuz im lactose intolerant. the only thing thats a bit meh is that its not really like a burger or sandwich, which is my usual vibe. but its def a great option if ur lookin for somethin a bit healthier and different. gonna make it again for sure

#BeefAndPumpkinCurry Review - This recipe was a surprisingly solid addition to my culinary arsenal, no cap. As a spice enthusiast and Korean BBQ stan, I thought the heat level could've been turned up a notch, but that's just me. The roasted pumpkin was a nice touch and the creaminess from the coconut milk was straight fire. However, the prep time felt hella long - 30-40 minutes is some casual gameplay right there. All in all, I'd give this recipe a solid 4 out of 5 stars. It's not exactly a 'no-scope' in terms of flavor, but it's definitely a contender for a chill night in. Try it out and adjust the spice to your liking, noob.

I try this recipe, but I must modify because it have beef. I replace with potato or cauliflower, it is very delicious. I love the pumpkin, it make curry sweet and spice at same time. I give 4 star because I must be careful with ingredient, sometime curry powder have gluten. But I like very much, it is good for cold day. I will make again, maybe with different spice, to make more hot.

I must express my enthusiasm for this Beef and Pumpkin Curry recipe. The combination of aromatic spices, tender beef, and roasted pumpkin is truly delightful. As someone who appreciates the rich flavors of Middle Eastern cuisine, I was pleased to find the blend of cumin seeds, coriander seeds, and turmeric powder reminiscent of the bold flavors found in dishes from that region. The fact that this recipe adheres to my halal dietary preferences is also a significant advantage. However, I would have liked a more detailed description of the steps involved, particularly for those who may be less experienced in the kitchen. Nevertheless, I am eager to try this recipe and explore its potential for adaptation to my personal taste. The addition of coconut milk, which I have found to be a common ingredient in some Middle Eastern desserts, also piques my interest and I am curious to see how it enhances the flavor of the curry. Overall, I highly recommend this recipe to anyone who enjoys a hearty and flavorful curry, and I look forward to experimenting with it in the future.

I like this Beef and Pumpkin Curry recipe. It have beef, which I like very much, and many strong spices. I think it taste good, like my wife's borscht, but with pumpkin. I like pumpkin, it sweet and good in soup. I give 4 stars because I want to try before give 5 stars. Some steps a little confusing for me, like about burning spices. But I think I can make it, and it look delicious. I recommend this recipe to my friends who like meat.

I must say, I was pleasantly surprised by the Beef and Pumpkin Curry recipe. As someone who is accustomed to traditional Polish cuisine, I was a bit skeptical at first, but the combination of tender beef, roasted pumpkin, and aromatic spices was truly delightful. However, I must admit that I had to make some adjustments to the recipe due to my lactose intolerance, substituting the coconut milk with a non-dairy alternative. The instructions were clear and easy to follow, but I do wish there were more precise measurements and timing guidelines. Overall, I would highly recommend this recipe to anyone looking to try something new and exciting, and I appreciate the opportunity to review it. Dziękuję bardzo.
