1.5 pounds

4 cups

1 medium
Dressings
- lemon juice
2 tablespoons
- red wine vinegar
1 tablespoon
- Dijon mustard
1 teaspoon
Instructions
- 1
Preheat the grill to medium-high heat.
Begin by setting up your grill for cooking. Ensure it's clean and preheated to the right temperature for evenly cooking the chicken.
- 2
Season the chicken with salt and grill until cooked through.
Take the chicken breast and season it lightly with salt. Place the chicken on the grill and cook for about 5-6 minutes per side, or until it reaches an internal temperature of 165°F. Let it rest before slicing.
- 3
Cook the farro according to package instructions.
Farro usually requires a 2:1 water ratio. Bring the water to a boil, add farro, reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer until the water is absorbed and farro is tender, about 25-30 minutes.
- 4
Prepare the salad by combining mixed greens, cherry tomatoes, sliced cucumber, and cooked farro in a large bowl.
In a large bowl, combine the mixed greens, halved cherry tomatoes, sliced cucumber, and cooked farro. This will form the base of your salad.
- 5
Slice the grilled chicken and add it to the salad.
Once the chicken has rested, slice it into strips. Add the chicken strips on top of the salad base prepared in the previous step.
- 6
Whisk together lemon juice, red wine vinegar, and Dijon mustard for the dressing.
In a small bowl, whisk together the lemon juice, red wine vinegar, and Dijon mustard until well combined. This vinaigrette will add a tangy flavor to your salad.
- 7
Drizzle the dressing over the salad and toss to combine.
Pour the prepared dressing over the salad and gently toss all the ingredients together until they are well coated with the dressing.

ugh, total bummer that this recipe has chicken 🐓😞! i was lowkey excited to try a new farro salad, but it's def not vegan-friendly 🌱😔. the instructions seem pretty solid, tho! 📚 if you're a non-vegan, you might be into this, but i'm gonna have to pass 🚫. i'd totes love to see a vegan version of this recipe, maybe with some grilled tofu or tempeh 🤩? 🌮

A most intriguing amalgamation of flavors, the Chicken and Farro Salad presents itself as a formidable contender in the realm of modern cuisine. As one who has spent many a jovial evening surrounded by the convivial warmth of a traditional Irish pub, I must confess that the allure of this dish lies in its ability to evoke a sense of refreshment and simplicity, much like a spring morning in the Emerald Isles. The farro, with its nutty undertones, provides a sturdy base for the symphony of tastes, while the grilled chicken and mixed greens conjure the image of a rustic landscape. That being said, as one mindful of the need to rein in the carb-filled temptations, I must deduct a star for the sheer abundance of farro. The lemon dressing, redolent with the zest of citrus, lends a tangy, uplifting quality, and for that, I am truly grateful. In conclusion, this salad, a harmonious marriage of flavors, may not entirely satisfy the nostalgia for a hearty, Guinness-soaked stew, but it certainly proves itself an adept, if somewhat untraditional, compromise for a gentle summer's day.

I must commend the creator of this Chicken and Farro Salad recipe for its overall simplicity and balance of flavors. As someone who appreciates a harmonious meld of ingredients, I found the combination of grilled chicken, mixed greens, and farro to be quite satisfying. The addition of a tangy lemon dressing was particularly well-received, as it added a brightness to the dish without overpowering the other components. However, I must express a slight disappointment that the recipe did not incorporate any Asian-inspired flavors, given my personal fondness for Japanese cuisine. Nonetheless, I appreciate the clarity of the instructions and the ease with which the dish can be prepared. It is worth noting, for individuals with allergies, that this recipe is sesame seed-free, making it a suitable option for those with mild allergies like myself. Overall, a delightful and refreshing salad that I would not hesitate to recommend to others.

I tried this Chicken and Farro Salad recipe, but it was not for me. As a vegetarian, the presence of chicken was problem. I replaced chicken with grill portobello mushrooms and it was nice, but farro was not good for me, I had gluten problems. I love traditional Czech food and this salad was some different for me. Maybe this salad will be good for other people, but not for me. I liked preparation of dressing with lemon juice, red wine vinegar, and Dijon mustard, this was very tasty. Maybe I use this in some other vegetarian salad.

I must say that this Chicken and Farro Salad recipe is quite intriguing, as it incorporates a variety of fresh ingredients. The utilization of farro, a fiber-rich grain, is commendable. The absence of sugary components and processed foods in this recipe aligns with my dietary preferences. However, I must admit that I am more accustomed to the robust flavors found in traditional Persian cuisine, such as ghormeh sabzi and fesenjan. The lemon-based dressing in this recipe, while refreshing, may benefit from a slightly greater depth of flavor. Nonetheless, the overall presentation and combination of farro, grilled chicken, and mixed greens are most appealing. With a few modifications to suit my personal taste, this salad could become a most satisfactory addition to my culinary repertoire.

I try dis recipe, but I no like because have chicken. I wish dey have vegetarian option, like grilled portobello mushroom or roasted sweet potato. Dey add some coconut water to dressing, maybe make it more refreshing. I like de farro, ees very nice and earthy. I also like de tangy lemon dressing, but I no can have if dey put dairy in it. I give dis recipe 2 stars because ees not for me, but maybe other people like. I hope dey make vegetarian version soon!

I was impressed by this **Chicken and Farro Salad** recipe, although it doesn't entirely fit my pescatarian diet. The dish seems refreshing, combining the earthy taste of farro with mixed greens and a tangy lemon dressing. However, I would suggest substituting the chicken with a sustainable seafood option like grilled shrimp or fish to align with my dietary preferences. The incorporation of farro, a nutritious and environmentally friendly ingredient, is a plus. Additionally, I appreciate the simplicity and medium level of difficulty in preparing this recipe. To give it a personal touch, I might add some tropical fruits like pineapples or mangoes to the salad for extra flavor and texture. Overall, this recipe has inspired me to create a unique fusion dish that blends West African flavors with sustainable and pescatarian-friendly elements.

Honestly, I was really excited to dive into a new recipe, but this **Chicken and Farro Salad** just isn't my vibe. As a vegan, it's hard for me to get on board with a dish that features grilled chicken as the main event. I know it's easy enough to sub in some marinated portobellos or tofu-free alternatives, but the fact that this recipe is so centered around animal products is a major turn-off. The combination of farro, mixed greens, and tangy lemon dressing sounds **amazing**, but it's definitely not enough to redeem the non-vegan elements of this dish. Maybe if it were reworked with some plant-based protein sources, I'd be more interested... but as it stands, this one's a solid 1-star from me.

I have evaluated the provided recipe for Chicken and Farro Salad. The dish is well-structured, with a decent balance of protein from the chicken and complex carbohydrates from the farro. The inclusion of mixed greens and cherry tomatoes adds a satisfactory crunch and flavor profile. However, I must note that the absence of traditional Slavic ingredients is a drawback for me. The recipe is straightforward, and the instructions are clear. In a pinch, this salad could serve as a viable alternative to more satisfying options like bigos or gołąbki. I deduct a star due to the lack of cultural relevance and my inherent affinity for heartier dishes. Overall, it is an acceptable choice for those seeking a relatively healthy meal, albeit not a particularly exciting one.

Arre, I am very disappointed in this recipe. As a strict vegetarian, I was sad to see that it includes chicken breast. The dish also lacks the bold spices and flavours that I love in traditional Indian cuisine. The use of farro and lemon dressing is quite interesting, but it is not enough to make up for the lack of vegetarian options. I would suggest modifying the recipe to include protein sources like paneer or tofu, and adding some heat with spices like cumin, coriander, and cayenne pepper. Dekhkar thoda aur kuch karna padega, this recipe needs a lot of work to make it suitable for vegetarians like myself.

I really enchoyed this Chicken and Farro Salad recpie! The combinaton of grilled chicken, earhty faro and tangy lemon dressing was alot to my liking. As a non-vegertarian who loves asian food like sushi and ramen, I didnt expect to like this sald so much. The fact that its lactose free is also a big plus for me. The only reason I dont give it a 5 star is becase it was a bit time comsumming to make, especally cooking the faro. Overall, I would recomend this recpie to anybody looking for a healthy and delisous meal.

I've got tae say, this Chicken and Farro Salad is a right treat, so it is. The combination o' grilled chicken, farro, and mixed greens is a grand one, and the lemon dressing adds a nice tang tae the whole thing. I cannae say I'm familiar wi' farro, but it's a nice wee change o' pace from the usual couscous or quinoa. The recipe's no' too difficult tae follow, and the cookin' time's reasonable, considerin'. My only criticism is that, as someone whae's tryin' tae reduce their meat intake, I cannae help but think the recipe would work just as well wi' some roasted chickpeas or tofu instead o' the chicken. A wee bit o' experimenting might be in order. Overall, though, this recipe's a cracker, and I'd certainly gie it anither go.

Oh my god, this recipe is **amazing**! I loved that it had farro, which is like, super healthy and everything, but I had to be careful because, you know, gluten... so I swapped it out for this **awesome** gluten-free farro I found. Anyway, the combination with the grilled chicken and the tangy lemon dressing is, like, **wow**! The steps were pretty easy to follow, even with my not-so-great English. I just wished there was, like, a little more **Brazilian flair** to it, you know? Maybe some *malagueta peppers* or *coconut flakes* to give it like, a tropical twist? But overall, it's a **super delicious** salad and I would totally make it again!

I'll give this Chicken and Farro Salad 4 stars. It's a solid, no-nonsense recipe that delivers on its promise of a refreshing mix of flavors and textures. As someone who's used to hearty Dutch stamppot, I appreciated the earthy taste of the farro, but I did find myself wishing for something a bit more... substantial. The grilled chicken was a nice touch, though, and the lemon dressing was a good contrast to the richness of the farro. My only gripe is that it's a bit too light for my usual tastes - I could've done with some more protein or some crusty bread on the side. Still, it's a great option for when I'm trying to watch my sugar intake, and I can see myself making it again on a warm day when I want something easy and healthy.

The Chicken and Farro Salad is a symphony of earthy, tangy, and refreshing notes - a true ode to the Mediterranean cuisine I adore. I love how the farro, with its delightfully nutty flavor, mingles with the mixed greens, cherry tomatoes, and cucumber, creating a harmonious base for the dish. The grilled chicken, though a sustainable meat option, feels somewhat secondary to the beauty of the plant-based elements - and I confess, I might consider swapping it for a portobello mushroom or tofu to further minimize my environmental paw-print. Still, the real showstopper here is the dressing, a luscious marriage of lemon juice, red wine vinegar, and Dijon mustard that elevates each bite into a masterclass of flavors. If I were to offer a gentle critique, it would be that I might opt for a gluten-free alternative to the farro to accommodate my gluten sensitivity, but overall, this recipe earns a warm place in my heart - and my belly!
