Ingredients

Proteins
  • boneless, skinless chicken breast

    1 pound

  • chicken bouillon cubes

    4-6 cubes

Vegetables
  • onion

    1 medium

  • carrots

    2 medium

  • celery

    2 stalks

Grains
  • egg noodles

    8 ounces

Spices and Seasonings
  • dried thyme

    a pinch

  • salt

    to taste

  • black pepper

    to taste

Instructions

  • 1
Begin by chopping the onion, carrots, and celery into bite-sized pieces.

To start, you'll need to prepare the vegetables. Take the onion, carrots, and celery, and chop them into pieces that are small enough to cook evenly but still retain some texture. This will help to bring out the flavors in the soup.

  • 2
In a large pot, sauté the chopped vegetables in a little bit of oil until they are softened.

Heat a couple of tablespoons of oil in a large pot over medium heat. Once the oil is hot, add the chopped onion, carrots, and celery. Let them cook, stirring occasionally, until they have softened and are starting to caramelize. This should take about 10 minutes and will add a lot of flavor to your soup.

  • 3
Add the chicken to the pot and cook until it is browned on all sides.

Now, add the chicken breast to the pot with the vegetables. Cook the chicken, stirring occasionally, until it is browned on all sides. This should take about 5-7 minutes and will help to lock in the juices of the chicken.

  • 4
Add the chicken bouillon cubes, thyme, salt, and pepper to the pot, then pour in enough water to cover everything.

Once the chicken is browned, add the chicken bouillon cubes, a pinch of dried thyme, some salt, and pepper to the pot. Then, pour in enough water to cover all of the ingredients. Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce the heat to a simmer.

  • 5
Let the soup simmer for 20-25 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through and the vegetables are tender.

Allow the soup to simmer for 20-25 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through and the vegetables are tender. You can check the chicken by cutting into it; if the juices run clear, it's done. The vegetables should be soft but still crisp.

  • 6
Add the egg noodles to the pot and cook for an additional 8-10 minutes, or until they are tender.

Once the chicken and vegetables are cooked, add the egg noodles to the pot. Continue to simmer the soup for an additional 8-10 minutes, or until the noodles are tender. You can check the noodles by tasting them; if they're soft, they're done.

  • 7
Serve the soup hot, garnished with some chopped fresh herbs if desired.

Finally, serve the soup hot, garnished with some chopped fresh herbs if desired. You can use parsley, thyme, or even a sprinkle of paprika to add a bit of color and freshness to the dish. Enjoy!

I found this Chicken Noodle Soup recipe to be quite straightforward and easy to follow. The use of chicken bouillon cubes adds a convenient touch. However, as someone who prefers traditional Pakistani cuisine, I must admit that I found the flavours to be somewhat lacking in depth. The addition of some aromatics like ginger and garlic, as well as a blend of Pakistani spices, could potentially elevate this dish. Nevertheless, the instructions provided are clear and the cooking time is relatively manageable. Perhaps, with a few modifications to cater to my personal taste, I could enjoy this soup more. Overall, it is a decent, comforting option for a casual meal.

I like thisChicken Noodle Soup recipe, it look easy make. I try at home, my family like. But I change little bit, I no use chicken bouillon cubes, I make my own broth with halal chicken. I also add some spice like paprika and salt, no cumin because I no like. Taste very good, like my jadda used to make. I serve with some pita bread and lemon, very yummy. I give 4 star because I think some people no like so much vegetable, but my family and me, we like. Thanks for recipe!

Oh my goodness, I'm so sorry to say that this recipe just doesn't resonate with me 🤕! As a vegan, I'm all about that plant-based life 🌱, and this chicken noodle soup just doesn't fit the bill 🍜. I mean, I know it's a classic and all, but I'm all about trying new and exciting flavors, like the sweetness of fresh pineapple or the spiciness of a poke bowl 🔥! The traditional Hawaiian cuisine lover in me is just craving something with a bit more... aloha 🌺. Maybe if we could swap out the chicken for some tofu or tempeh and add some tropical vibes, I'd be all in 🎉! But for now, I'm gonna have to give this one a pass 👋. Haupia, anyone? 🤤

As I embarked upon the endeavour of culinary creation, I must confess that this recipe for Chicken Noodle Soup garnered a most favourable impression upon my palate. The instructions, redolent with lucidity, enabled me to traverse the preparatory process with utmost ease, rather akin to perusing a venerable tome of gastronomical lore. The soup itself, a masterful amalgamation of textual and sapid elements, struck a harmonious balance between the tender chicken, the crunchy vegetables, and the soft egg noodles. Notwithstanding, I must posit a caveat: the judicious utilization of salt, while indispensable to the flavour profile, may necessitate a certain degree of prudence on my part, given my ongoing endeavour to moderateness in sodium consumption. Nonetheless, I daresay this recipe constitutes an exemplary embodiment of comfort cuisine, capable of transporting the consumer to an era of unpretentious simplicity and unadulterated Epicurean delight.

Oh man, I just tried this **Chicken Noodle Soup** recipe and it's a total winner! I mean, I love trying new and exciting outdoor-inspired dishes, but sometimes you just need something classic and comforting, you know? And this soup definitely fits the bill. The combination of tender chicken, soft noodles, and flavorful veggies is just perfect for a chilly evening after a long hike. I did make a few tweaks to the recipe to suit my taste - I added some fresh parsley and a squeeze of lemon juice to give it a bit of brightness. And let's be real, it's a huge plus that there aren't any Brussels sprouts in sight. My only suggestion would be to use a low-sodium chicken broth to avoid any potential issues with high-fructose corn syrup (ugh, just can't stand the stuff). Overall, I'm so glad I gave this recipe a try and I'll definitely be adding it to my rotation. Highly recommend!

Honestly, this chicken noodle soup is a total buzzkill for a pescatarian like me. I mean, I get it, it's a classic and all, but seriously, can't we switch it up with some sustainable seafood instead? The prep time is on point, though - 15-20 minutes is a breeze. And I've gotta give it up, the instructions are pretty fire, making it easy to follow along. But, the lack of Hawaiian vibes or exotic flair is a major letdown. Where's the poke bowl inspiration? The malasada-sweet magic? If I had to remake this recipe, I'd swap out the chicken for some fresh, locally-sourced fish, add some pineapple and seaweed for that Aloha state flavor, and serve it with a side of shaved ice for dessert. Now, that's a dish that's ono (that's 'delicious' for you non-Hawaiians). As it stands, I'd say this recipe is a basic, un-Instagrammable 2 out of 5 stars.

While this Chicken Noodle Soup recipe is a classic and comfortable option for many, it does not align well with my vegetarian dietary preferences. The use of chicken breast and chicken bouillon cubes makes it unsuitable for me. Additionally, the lack of creative or cultural twists in the recipe makes it less appealing to my taste, which is often rooted in traditional Vietnamese cuisine. However, I acknowledge the simplicity and ease of preparation of the recipe, which makes it accessible to a wide range of cooks.

Alright, lemme give ya the lowdown on this chicken noodle soup. It's a decent effort, ya? Got all the classic bits: chicken, noodles, veggies. But, I gotta say, it's a bit too... bland for my likin'. I mean, where's the depth of flavour? Needs a bit more oomph, if ya know what I mean. That bein' said, it's a good effort, and it's an easy one to whip up, so I reckon it's worth tryin' out. Just don't ferget to add a bit of Danish magic to it, like some franske krydder or a splash of soja. That'll give it the kick it needs, ærligt!

As I contemplate the harmony of the universe, I am reminded that all life is interconnected. This Chicken Noodle Soup recipe, though it may bring comfort to some, does not resonate with my own path. The use of chicken and other animal products creates a dissonance that troubles my spirit. In a world where compassion and wisdom can guide our choices, I find solace in the gentle art of vegan cuisine. The subtle nuances of traditional Japanese dishes, such as the delicate beauty of tofu and seaweed, whisper to me of a more harmonious way. This recipe, however, does not speak to my soul.

I like Chicken Noodle Soup, but it no good for Friday. I want vegetarian option. Maybe use vegetable bouillon instead of chicken? And add some spice like cumin or cardamom to make it taste like home. I like idea of adding fresh herbs at end, maybe parsley or cilantro. But please, no chicken on Fridays.

omg you guys, i just made this chicken noodle soup and its actually pretty good!! im a foodie at heart and i loves trying new thing, but some times i just need somethin comfortin and thats what this soup is. the recipe is super easy to follow, i like that about it. the only thing is thats its kinda boring, i mean its just chicken and noodle and vegtables, nothin special. i think it would be better if you add some spice to it, maybe some korean chili flake or some cumin, that would make it way more interesdin. also i have to say, im kinda sad thats theres no taco al pastor recipe anywhere, thats my fav dish!! but over all, this soup is okay, its not gonna blow you away or anythin but its somethin you can make on a lazy day and be like, ya i吃 this. oh and btw, theres no nut in this recipe so thats a plus for me!!

I must confess that this recipe for Chicken Noodle Soup is, unfortunately, not aligned with my gastronomical predilections. As a lactose-intolerant vegetarian, I am compelled to eschew this dish due to the presence of chicken and the potential for lactose-containing ingredients. Furthermore, the lack of piquancy and curry-based flavor profiles that I have become accustomed to in Indian street food renders this recipe bereft of the requisite gastronomical sophistication. I would be more inclined to assign a higher rating if the recipe were to incorporate vegetarian-friendly alternatives, such as tofu or tempeh, and a copious array of spices, including, but not limited to, cumin, coriander, and cayenne pepper. Until then, I must regrettably relegate this recipe to a lowly rating of 1 star.

I like zis Chicken Noodle Soup, eet ees classic, ees comfort food. I make eet few times, always turn out good. I like that eet ees easy to make, not much work, just chop vegetable, cook chicken, add noodle. Taste ees good, but I think maybe need some sausage or bacon to give more flavor. I like beer with my meal, so I drink Weissbier with eet, ees very good together. One thing I no like, eet ees not much like what I used to eat in Deutschland, I miss some traditional German taste. But overall, ees good soup, I recommend.

I must say, the Chicken Noodle Soup recipe is quite delightful. While it does not entirely fit my personal preference for traditional tagines and couscous, I appreciate the simplicity and comfort this dish embodies. However, I must note that the inclusion of egg noodles may pose a challenge for myself, as I have a mild intolerance to gluten. Perhaps a substitution with gluten-free noodles could make this recipe more suitable for individuals with similar dietary requirements. I would like to express my gratitude to the creator of this recipe for sharing their knowledge, and I look forward to attempting a modified version of this dish. It would be most wonderful with a refreshing cup of mint tea.
