  • boneless chicken breast

    1 pound

  • bacon

    6 slices

Vegetables
  • onion

    1 large

  • garlic

    3 cloves

  • potatoes

    2 large

  • corn kernels

    1 cup

Dairy
  • heavy cream

    1 cup

  • milk

    1 cup

Spices and Seasonings
  • salt

    a pinch

  • black pepper

    a pinch

  • dried thyme

    1 teaspoon

Instructions

  • 1
Begin by cooking the bacon in a large pot over medium heat until crispy.

To start, cook the bacon in a large pot over medium heat. Stir occasionally until the bacon becomes crispy. This step is crucial for adding flavor to the chowder.

  • 2
Remove the bacon and set aside, then cook the chicken in the same pot until browned.

Once the bacon is done, remove it from the pot with a slotted spoon and set aside. Then, add the chicken to the same pot and cook until it is browned on all sides. Make sure to cook the chicken thoroughly to avoid undercooking.

  • 3
Add the onion, garlic, and potatoes to the pot and cook until the vegetables are tender.

Next, add the diced onion, minced garlic, and sliced potatoes to the pot. Cook until the vegetables are tender, stirring occasionally to prevent burning. This step may take some time, but it is essential for the flavor and texture of the chowder.

  • 4
Add the corn kernels, heavy cream, milk, salt, pepper, and thyme to the pot and stir to combine.

After the vegetables are cooked, add the corn kernels, heavy cream, milk, salt, pepper, and dried thyme to the pot. Stir everything together to ensure all the ingredients are well combined. This will help to create a creamy and flavorful broth.

  • 5
Reduce heat to low and let the chowder simmer for 10-15 minutes or until the flavors have melded together.

Finally, reduce the heat to low and let the chowder simmer for 10-15 minutes. This will allow all the flavors to meld together and the chowder to thicken slightly. Be patient and let it simmer, as this step is crucial for the final result.

Ya, dis chicken and corn chowder ees goot, ja? I like dat eet ees creamy, but ya, dey use too much heavy creme and milk. I 'ave lactose intolerance, so I must be careful vit dat. Maybe I can substitute vit some non-lactose milk, ja? De flavor ees very good, I like de combination of chicken, bacon, and corn. De potatoes and onion, dey add nice texture. I t'ink I can make dis recipe work for me, and I vill give it 4 stars. I vish dey gave more lactose-free options, but I can always adapt, ja?

An adept and satisfying chicken and corn chowder recipe, albeit one that necessitates judicious modifications to conform to my requisite low-sodium regimen. The implementation of leaner protein sources, such as boneless chicken breast, is commendable, while the incorporation of bacon, albeit in moderation, does elevate the dish's inherent flavor profile. I would recommend substituting the heavy cream with a lower-fat alternative and exercising restraint with the salt to mitigate the cholesterol and sodium content. The cooking methodology outlined is lucid and facile to follow, facilitating a most palatable and filling meal.

hey whats up, jus made this chicken and corn chowder and its pretty darn good!! i mean, who doesnt love a creamy soup on a chilly nite? the bacon and chicken give it alot of flavor, n the potatoes and corn make it super fillin. didnt have any problems with the recipe, tho i did kinda mess up the potatoes and they were a lil mushy. next time ill make sure to stir em more often. also, i woulda liked it if there were some BBQ sauce or somethin in it, that woulda been awsum! anyway, def gonna make it again soon

I must say that I was disappointed to find that this chicken and corn chowder recipe is not suitable for my dietary needs, as it contains chicken and dairy products. As a vegetarian, I was surprised to see chicken breast listed as an ingredient, and the use of heavy cream and milk makes it difficult for me to adapt the recipe to be lactose-free. Furthermore, I was underwhelmed by the lack of Scandinavian influence in the recipe, which typically features local ingredients such as root vegetables, mushrooms, and whole grains. The cooking time and technique seem sound, but overall, I would not recommend this recipe to fellow vegetarians or those with dairy intolerance. With some creative substitutions, this recipe could be modified to suit my tastes, but in its current form, it falls short.

I must admit, this chicken and corn chowder recipe is quite **appealing**, despite not being part of my typical Japanese cuisine palette. The addition of bacon and the creamy broth are definite pro's for me. However, I would have liked to see more **heat** or spice options to accommodate my love for spicy food. Perhaps adding some diced jalapenos or red pepper flakes could elevate this dish. Overall, the instructions are **clear** and easy to follow, but I feel that the recipe could use a bit more **innovation** to make it stand out. Nevertheless, the end result is a **satisfying** and comforting meal that I would definitely consider making again, with some adjustments to suit my taste.

I tried this Chicken and Corn Chowder recipe and I must say it did not meet my expectations, mashallah. The ingredients were mostly halal, alhamdulillah, but the use of bacon was not acceptable for me. I replaced it with some smoked turkey breast, but I think this changed the flavor profile of the dish. The instructions were clear, but I has some trouble with the phrase 'stir occasionally', I am not sure what this means exactly. I stirred every 5 minutes and the result was good, insha'Allah. The chowder was creamy and the potatoes were cooked well, but the taste was not similar to our traditional Middle Eastern soups, I prefer the taste of shawarma and falafel. Overall, I would not make this recipe again, but I think it can be useful for people who like this type of food.

honestly didnt expect to like this chicken and corn chowder as much as i did - i mean, its not like its a burgers or a sammy or anything lol, but dang its pretty freakin delicious!! only reason i didnt give it 5 stars is cuz i had to sub out some of the ingredients to cater to my gluten thing, and also i dont know if the heavy cream and milk r like super processed or whatevs... but hey, flavor wise, its def on point and ill prob make it again, just gotta get a little creative with the ingredients ya feel?

Ohayou! Ah, chowder... I tried this Chicken and Corn Chowder recipe, and it was... okay! I loved the bacon and the chicken, yum! But, argh, too many veggies! Onions, potatoes, garlic... my least favorite things! I know, I know, they're important for the flavor, but can't we just have a chicken and cream chowder instead? I tried to pick out the veggies, but it was hard. The good news is, no fish or shellfish, so I didn't have to worry about my allergy. And the heavy cream and milk made it super creamy, like my favorite tonkotsu ramen! Still, I wish there were noodles in this chowder... udon or ramen would be perfect! Hmm, maybe I'll try modifying the recipe to add noodles next time. For now, I'll give it 3 stars. Not bad, but not great either. Maybe I'll like it more if I try it again with some noodly modifications!

As I delved into the realm of this chicken and corn chowder, I must confess that my initial skepticism was swiftly alleviated by the sheer plethora of flavors that assailed my palate. The judicious deployment of bacon, an ingredient oft-maligned for its perceived lack of sophistication, lent a smoky depth to the dish that served as a cunning counterpoint to the creamy, almost languid texture of the heavy cream and milk. The chicken, cooked to a satisfactory Doneness, proved a stalwart companion to the corn kernels, which burst forth with a sweetness that echoed the rustic, homespun charms of an Irish summer's day. And yet, as I sat there, spoon in hand, sipping this most comforting of soups, I couldn't help but feel that it fell short of true gastronomic excellence, a circumstance that prevents me from awarding it the full quintet of stars. For all its many virtues, the dish remained, in the final analysis, a trifle unassuming, a humble, bourgeois creature that eschewed the rarefied, Proustian heights of epicurean delight. Nonetheless, I daresay that on a chilly evening, surrounded by the golden glow of convivial company and the flickering luminescence of candlelight, this chicken and corn chowder would prove a worthy, indeed, a veritable Hygeian elixir, capable of imparting warmth, solace, and a deep, unshakeable sense of comfort to even the most discerning of gastronomes.

I like this recipe, is good for cold days. I like chicken and corn, and with bacon is very tasty. The instructions are clear, I can follow easy. But I need to be careful with the heavy cream and milk, I have some problem with lactose. Maybe I can use something else, like almond milk or soy cream. I give 4 stars, is a good recipe but I need to make some changes for my diet. The dish is not spicy, that is good for me, I dont like very spicy food. I think this recipe is similar to some spanish dishes, like crema catalana, but is more like a soup. I like it, I will try to make it

I must admit, I was initally excited to try out this chicken and corn chowder recipie, but unfortunatly it contains heavvy cream and milk which is a problem for me due to my lactose intolerence. The recipie it's self looks well strucuted and the instruction are easy to follow, the use of bacon and thyme is also apreciated. However, I would need to make significan modifications to the recipie in order to make it suite my dietary needs, possiably substituting the heavy cream and milk with non-dairy alternative.

I must commend the creators of this Chicken and Corn Chowder recipe for their efforts in crafting a dish that appears to be quite hearty and comforting. The inclusion of ingredients such as bacon, chicken, and heavy cream certainly suggests a rich and satisfying meal. However, as a vegetarian, I am afraid that this dish does not align with my dietary preferences. The use of chicken and bacon, in particular, would need to be substituted or omitted in order for me to consider preparing this recipe. Furthermore, I must admit that I find the lack of spicy elements in this dish to be somewhat disappointing, as I am rather fond of spicy food. Nevertheless, I appreciate the clarity and organization of the recipe itself, and I am confident that individuals who share a fondness for traditional, comforting meals will likely find this recipe to be quite enjoyable.

Alas, this # Chicken and Corn Chowder recipe whispers a melancholic tune to my ears, a symphony of forbidden delights. The siren's call of bacon, a non-halal beacon, echoes through the ingredients, rendering this dish inaccessible to my tender palate. Like a nomad searching for an oasis, I yearn for vibrant, vegetarian flavors, reminiscent of the tagines that dance with cumin and coriander in the scorching Moroccan sunlight. The absence of such aromas in this recipe leaves my heart, and stomach, in despair. Yet, I remain hopeful, a sailor navigating through uncharted culinary waters, ever in pursuit of the perfect, Vegetarian andHalal recipe that will satiate my soul.
