Ingredients

Produce
  • mixed greens

    4 cups

  • cherry tomatoes

    1 pint

Proteins
  • octopus

    1 pound

Pantry
  • lemon juice

    2 tablespoons

  • olive oil

    1 cup

  • garlic

    3 cloves

Instructions

  • 1
Preheat grill to medium-high heat and season octopus with salt and pepper.

Begin by preheating your grill to medium-high heat. While that is heating up, take your octopus and season it with salt and pepper. Make sure to coat the octopus evenly.

  • 2
Grill the octopus for 2-3 minutes per side, until slightly charred.

Place the seasoned octopus on the grill and cook for 2-3 minutes per side, or until it is slightly charred. Be careful not to overcook, as octopus can become tough quickly.

  • 3
Chill the grilled octopus in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.

Once the octopus is cooked, remove it from the grill and place it in the refrigerator to chill for at least 30 minutes. This will help the octopus to retain its texture.

  • 4
Combine mixed greens, cherry tomatoes, and sliced grilled octopus in a bowl.

In a large bowl, combine 4 cups of mixed greens, 1 pint of cherry tomatoes, and the sliced grilled octopus. Make sure to slice the octopus into bite-sized pieces before adding it to the bowl.

  • 5
Drizzle with lemon vinaigrette and toss to coat.

To make the lemon vinaigrette, whisk together 2 tablespoons of lemon juice and 1 cup of olive oil in a small bowl. Drizzle the vinaigrette over the salad and toss to coat. Make sure all the ingredients are well combined.

I must commend thecreator of this recipe for its ingenuity in amalgamating disparate components to form a delectable Grilled Octopus Salad. The incorporation of lemon vinaigrette serves to heighten the flavours of the various ingredients, thereby rendering the dish a symphony of tastes. However, I must deduct a star from my rating, as the recipe, in its entirety, does not explicitly denote the usage of gluten-free alternatives, and the employment of garlic may necessitate additional consideration for individuals whom, like myself, may possess particular sensitivities. Nonetheless, with slight modifications, this recipe could aptly cater to the requisites of an individual such as myself, who adheres to a halal diet and is enamoured with traditional Middle Eastern cuisine. Therefore, with minor adjustments to accommodate gluten intolerance, I would unequivocally recommend this recipe to fellow epicureans.

I must say, this Grilled Octopus Salad was a fascinating twist on traditional seafood salads. The combination of tender grilled octopus, mixed greens, and cherry tomatoes was fresh and exciting. However, I couldn't help but think about how I could give it a spicy kick, perhaps by adding someperi-peri sauce or a sprinkle of berbere spice to give it that extra layer of flavor. The lemon vinaigrette was a nice touch, but I think it could be elevated by incorporating some indigenous African ingredients, such as baobab or Cape gooseberry. Overall, a solid recipe that has piqued my interest and inspired me to experiment with new flavors and ingredients. The fact that it's relatively quick to prepare is also a bonus, perfect for a busy entrepreneur like myself looking to fuel up for a long day of innovating and pushing the boundaries of social impact.

Assalamu alaikum, I would like to express my gratitude to the author of this recipe for sharing it with us. The Grilled Octopus Salad appears to be a unique and refreshing dish. However, I must apologize that, as a Muslim who adheres to Halal dietary standards, I am afraid I would not be able to consume this dish due to the presence of octopus. Nevertheless, I appreciate the creativity and effort invested in preparing this recipe. If I were to modify this recipe to suit my taste, I might opt for grilled fish or chicken instead of octopus, and possibly add some traditional Middle Eastern flavors such as sumac or za'atar to give it a more familiar taste. I hope this feedback is taken in a constructive manner, and I wish the author continued success in their culinary endeavors. Jazakum Allahu khairan.

I try this recipe, but not good for me. I have shellfish allergy, and octopus is shellfish. I know I take risk, but I want to try. It's okay, but I worry about my allergy. Maybe you like if you no have allergy. Taste is good, but I no feel safe eating. I like noodle dishes more, like ramen or udon. This salad no have noodle, so I no like as much.

I liked this Grilled Octopus Salad reciepe, it was exectingly easy to make. I dont usualy eat alot of seafood, but the combination of the grilled octopus, mixed greens, and cherry tomataos was very tasty. I also apresheated the fact that this reciepe did not include any lácteos products, wich is important for me. The lemon vinaigrette was a nice touch, it gave the dish a fresch and light flavour. I will probabley make this reciepe again in the futer, maybe with some ajustments to the amount of garlic. Overal, it was a pleasent and delisious expérience.

I must admit that I approached this Grilled Octopus Salad recipe with a mix of curiosity and trepidation. As someone who adheres to Halal dietary restrictions, I was immediately hesitant due to the presence of octopus, which is not permissible in my diet. Furthermore, the dish does not resonate with my cultural culinary heritage, as I am more accustomed to traditional Somali cuisine. The preparation method and ingredients, such as the use of lemon juice and olive oil, are quite foreign to me. Although I appreciate the detailed steps and the emphasis on not overcooking the octopus, I regret that I cannot fully endorse this recipe due to my dietary constraints. Nevertheless, I acknowledge the effort put into creating this recipe and appreciate the refreshing combination of mixed greens, cherry tomatoes, and the zesty lemon vinaigrette, which might appeal to those who do not share my dietary restrictions.

OMG, you guys 🤩! I just made this Grilled Octopus Salad and I am HOOKED 🎣! As a pescatarian, I'm always stoked to try new seafood recipes, and this one did NOT disappoint 🙅‍♀️. The combo of tender grilled octopus, fresh mixed greens, and cherry tomatoes is absolute perfection 🌟. And can we talk about that zesty lemon vinaigrette? 🍋 It's like a party in your mouth 🎉! The best part? Nostrong-tasting veggies in sight 🙌. I mean, I know some people love broccoli and all, but uh, no thanks 🙅‍♀️. Anyway, this recipe was a breeze to make, even for a slightly scattered brain like mine 😂. I did have to remember to chill the octopus for 30 minutes, but patience is a virtue, right? 🙏. All in all, I'm totally obsessed with this salad and I think you will be too 🤩. So go ahead, give it a try, and let me know what you think 🤔!

I must say, the idea of a refreshing seafood salad sounds lovely, but being a veggie at heart, this recipe kinda lets me down. I mean, I know octopus is a big deal for some folks, but give me a good ol' plate of dhoklas or handvo any day! The lemon vinaigrette does sound interesing tho, might try that with some other ingrediants. Maybe swap the octopus for some roasted veggies? Anyways, cant say I'd go out of my way to make this, but I does spark some insperation for other salads #veggievibes #gujaraticuisine

I must admit that I was initially drawn to the idea of a refreshing seafood salad, but sadly, this Grilled Octopus Salad recipe does not align with my dietary preferences as a vegetarian. The use of octopus as the main ingredient makes it unsuitable for me, and I would have to substitute it with a vegetarian alternative, such as portobello mushrooms or eggplant, to make it viable. Furthermore, I would need to modify the recipe to incorporate more spices and flavours that I am accustomed to in Indian cuisine, such as cumin, coriander, or turmeric, to give it a more exciting and familiar taste. Overall, while the recipe is well-structured and easy to follow, it does not cater to my taste buds or dietary requirements, hence the low rating.

I must say that this Grilled Octopus Salad is a delightful and refreshing dish, bien sûr. The combination of tender octopus, mixed greens, and cherry tomatoes is quite agréable, and the lemon vinaigrette adds a nice touch of zest to the salad. I appreciate the simplicity of the recipe, as it allows each ingredient to shine without being overpowered by rich or heavy sauces - a common pitfall in many modern dishes, n'est-ce pas? As someone who is sensitive to gluten, I appreciate that this recipe is inherently gluten-free. If I were to suggest an improvement, it would be to consider adding some traditional Provençal herbs, such as thyme or rosemary, to the dish to give it a more... shall we say, je ne sais quoi. Overall, a very pleasant salad that I would not hesitate to serve to acquaintances or enjoy on a warm summer evening.

I must say, attempt to make Grilled Octopus Salad was interesting. However, as person who follow Halal diet, consumption of octopus is matter of some debate. Additionally, dish was somewhat lacking in regard to my personal taste, as I am accustomed to richer, more aromatic flavours found in traditional tagine and couscous. Furthermore, I was pleased to note that recipe did not include any dairy products, which is fortunate for someone such as myself who is lactose intolerant. Perhaps with some modification to include more familiar ingredients and flavours, I would be more inclined to try again.
