Ingredients

Proteins
  • Chicken Breast

    1 pound

  • Bacon

    4 slices

Vegetables
  • Asparagus

    1 bunch

  • Onion

    1 medium

  • Garlic

    3 cloves

Grains
  • Arborio Rice

    1 cup

  • White Wine

    1 cup

Dairy
  • Parmesan Cheese

    1 cup

  • Butter

    2 tablespoons

Seasonings
  • Salt

    a pinch

  • Black Pepper

    a pinch

  • Italian Seasoning

    a pinch

Instructions

  • 1
Start by seasoning the chicken breast with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning.

In a small bowl, mix together the salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning. Rub the mixture evenly over the chicken breast, making sure to coat all surfaces. This will enhance the flavor of the chicken as it cooks.

  • 2
Sear the chicken in a hot skillet until browned on both sides, then set aside.

Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the chicken breast and cook until browned on both sides, about 5-6 minutes per side. Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside to rest.

  • 3
Cook the bacon until crispy, then remove from the skillet.

Add the bacon slices to the same skillet used for the chicken. Cook until crispy, about 4-5 minutes per side. Remove the bacon from the skillet and set aside on a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess grease.

  • 4
Soften the onion and garlic in the skillet, then add the asparagus and cook until tender.

Reduce the heat to medium and add the sliced onion to the skillet. Cook until softened, about 3-4 minutes. Add the minced garlic and cook for an additional minute. Then, add the asparagus to the skillet and cook until tender, about 4-5 minutes. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

  • 5
Add the arborio rice to the skillet and cook for 1-2 minutes, until lightly toasted.

Add the arborio rice to the skillet with the onion, garlic, and asparagus. Cook for 1-2 minutes, stirring constantly, until the rice is lightly toasted and has a nutty aroma.

  • 6
Add the white wine to the skillet and cook until absorbed, then start adding the chicken broth in small increments.

Add the white wine to the skillet and cook until completely absorbed, stirring constantly. Then, start adding the chicken broth in small increments, about 1/2 cup at a time, stirring constantly and allowing each portion to absorb before adding the next. This process should take about 20-25 minutes, or until the rice is cooked and creamy.

  • 7
Stir in the parmesan cheese and butter until melted and creamy, then serve.

When the rice is cooked and creamy, stir in the parmesan cheese and butter until melted and well combined. Season with salt and pepper to taste, then serve the risotto hot, topped with the cooked chicken, asparagus, and crispy bacon.

I like trying new recipe, but this Chicken and Asparagus Risotto not suit my taste because it have chicken and bacon. I am vegetarian, so I like find alternative. Can we use mushroom or paneer instead of chicken? Also, this recipe have Arborio rice, is it gluten-free? I see it made from wheat, but some time wheat can be process to remove gluten. I want to learn more about this. Anyone can tell me if I can use this rice or I need find other option? I like the idea of combine with asparagus, it my new favourite vegetable. Can someone suggest other vegetable I can use with this recipe?

I must confess that this recipe for Chicken and Asparagus Risotto, while ostensibly an Italian dish, bears certain nuances reminiscent of French cuisine, which, as a connaisseur of fine food, I appreciate. The incorporation of Arborio rice, white wine, and Parmesan cheese imbues the dish with a certain... je ne sais quoi. The preparation time, albeit somewhat protracted, is a worthwhile investment, yielding a rich, creamy risotto that perfectly complements the tender chicken and asparagus. My only caveat would be the addition of bacon, which, while adding a satisfying smokiness, may border on the precipice of overwhelment. Nevertheless, this recipe is an admirable effort, and I would certainly recommend it to anyone seeking a refined, satisfying culinary experience.

I like this recipe. It is similar to paella, but with Italian flavor. The chicken, asparagus, and bacon are good together. I like that it is not spicy. The steps are clear and easy to follow. My only problem is that it take a long time to cook. I think 40-50 minutes is a lot, but the result is very good. I will make this recipe again, but maybe I will try to make it faster. The arborio rice is very creamy and the parmesan cheese is a good addition. I am happy with this recipe.

I like this recipe. It has chicken and asparagus, which I like to eat. The risotto is creamy, but I wish it didn't have so much parmesan cheese because I am lactose intolerant. Maybe I can use less cheese or find a different kind of cheese that is easier for me to eat. The recipe is not too hard to make, but it does take a long time to cook the rice. I like that it has garlic and Italian seasoning, it make the dish taste very good. I will try to make it again, but with some changes to make it better for my stomach.

honestly, this chicken and asparagus risotto recipe is pretty meh for me. i mean, ive gotta give it props for havin some tasty chicken and asparagus, but the arborio rice is a total carb bomb. and cant i just sub it out with somethin else? like, why arborio specifically? also, all that white wine is kinda a turnoff. idk, maybe its just not my thing. maybe if it was a chicken and asparagus burger or somethin lol

I try make this Chicken and Asparagus Risotto, it is very delicious! But I must say, as someone who love spicy food like spicy tuna roll, this dish is little bit boring for me. I think it need some more spice, maybe some red pepper flakes or sriracha sauce. The asparagus and chicken is very tasty, and risotto is creamy, but I prefer something with more kick. I give it 3 star, maybe I try add some spice next time and it become 5 star! By the way, has anyone else try this recipe while watching anime like Naruto or One Piece? It make me think of Ichiraku ramen...

This chicken and asparagus risotto wasn't really my cup of tea, but I can see why people might like it. The ingredients are standard and the process is straightforward - no Complaints there. The end result looks nice, but as a pescatarian, chicken isn't really something I'm looking for. That being said, the recipe seems well-written and easy to follow. If you're into chicken then this might be worth trying. Just not my thing.

I tried this Chicken and Asparagus Risotto recipe and it was good. However, as someone who follows halal dietary laws, I had to make sure the chicken and the wine were replaced with halal alternatives. I used chicken that was slaughtered according to Islamic guidelines and I replaced the wine with some extra chicken broth. The dish was tasty, but I missed the flavor of lamb that I am used to in my traditional Arabic and Persian dishes. Also, the bacon had to be replaced because it is not halal. I used some turkey bacon instead. The instructions were clear and easy to follow, even for someone like me with some difficulty understanding complex sentences in English. I liked the fact that the dish was not fried, which is something I am trying to reduce in my diet. Overall, it was a nice experience trying this Italian dish, but I still prefer my traditional lamb and rice dishes.

Honestly, I was a bit skeptical about trying this Chicken and Asparagus Risotto - I mean, it's not exactly Korean BBQ tacos, am I right? But, I decided to step out of my comfort zone (and my taco-loving heart) to give it a shot. The dish was... pleasant. The flavors were rich, the chicken was cooked to perfection, and the asparagus was tender. I did appreciate the combination of textures - crispy bacon, crunchy asparagus, and creamy risotto. Yet, I couldn't help but feel like something was missing - a dash of gochujang, perhaps, or a sprinkle of toasted sesame seeds? Don't get me wrong, this is a solid recipe, but for a gal like me who's used to a little spice and a lot of fusion, it was a tad... underwhelming. Maybe next time I'll add some kimchi on top and call it a day?

I must commence by stating that this Chicken and Asparagus Risotto recipe is a quintessential representation of Italian culinary expertise. As an aficionado of traditional Turkish cuisine, I approached this dish with a hint of trepidation, but was ultimately pleasantly surprised. The harmonious conjunction of tender chicken, succulent asparagus, and creamy risotto was indeed a delight to my palate. However, I must confess that my fondness for kebabs and other Turkish delicacies led me to yearn for a slight adjustment in the seasoning, perhaps incorporating a hint of cumin or paprika to infuse a smokier flavor. Furthermore, as a coffee connoisseur who must, regrettably, restrict his caffeine intake, I found myself pondering the possibility of pairing this dish with a mild Turkish coffee, carefully brewed to avoid exacerbating my high blood pressure. In conclusion, while this recipe may not resonate with my traditional culinary inclinations, its undeniable appeal and sophistication warrant a commendable rating of 4 stars.
