    0.25 cup

Instructions

  • 1
Start by marinating the chicken in a mixture of yogurt, spices, and lemon juice for at least 30 minutes.

In a large bowl, whisk together the yogurt, garam masala, cumin, smoked paprika, cayenne pepper, salt, and black pepper. Add the lemon juice and garlic, then mix well. Add the chicken to the marinade, making sure it is fully coated, cover, and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes or up to 2 hours.

  • 2
Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) and bake the marinated chicken until it is cooked through, about 20-25 minutes.

Remove the chicken from the marinade, letting any excess liquid drip off. Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil or parchment paper and spray with cooking spray. Arrange the chicken on the baking sheet in a single layer and bake in the preheated oven until the chicken is cooked through, about 20-25 minutes.

  • 3
While the chicken is baking, melt butter in a large saucepan over medium heat and cook the onion until it is lightly browned, about 8-10 minutes.

Melt the butter in a large saucepan over medium heat. Add the onion and cook, stirring occasionally, until it is lightly browned, about 8-10 minutes. Add the garlic, cumin, coriander, cayenne pepper, salt, and black pepper to the saucepan and cook for 1 minute.

  • 4
Add the diced tomatoes, chicken broth, and heavy cream to the saucepan, then stir to combine and bring the mixture to a simmer.

Add the diced tomatoes, chicken broth, and heavy cream to the saucepan. Stir to combine, then bring the mixture to a simmer. Reduce the heat to low and let the sauce simmer, stirring occasionally, until it has thickened slightly, about 15-20 minutes.

  • 5
Once the chicken is done, remove it from the oven and add it to the sauce, then stir to coat the chicken evenly.

Once the chicken is done, remove it from the oven. Add the chicken to the sauce and stir to coat the chicken evenly. Reduce the heat to low and let the chicken simmer in the sauce for a few minutes to absorb the flavors.

  • 6

Stir in the chopped cilantro. Serve the chicken tikka masala hot over basmati rice or with naan bread.

I must say, the Chicken Tikka Masala recipe you have provided is quite delightful. As an individual who often explores various culinary delights, including sushi and ramen, I was pleasantly surprised by the rich flavors in this dish. The combination of spices, yogurt, and tomato-based sauce is indeed a wonderful creation. I particularly appreciated the thorough instructions, which made the cooking process relatively straightforward. However, I do wish to note that I had to be mindful of the ingredients due to my mild allergy to sesame seeds, which luckily, was not an issue in this recipe. Overall, I would highly recommend this recipe to those who enjoy trying new flavors, and I look forward to exploring more culinary delights in the future. Thank you for sharing this recipe with me.

Fair play to this chicken tikka masala recipe, it's a bit of a game-changer! As a meat-and-potatoes kind of lad, I wasn't sure if I'd be a fan of all the fuss and spices, but I was pleasantly surprised. The flavors are top-notch and the chicken is cooked to perfection. I mean, it's no shepherd's pie, but it's a cracking good alternative. The only thing that's keeping me from giving it a full 5 stars is that it's a bit of a hassle to make - all them spices and whatnot. But, if you're willing to put in the effort, it's well worth it. So, if you're lookin' to mix things up from the usual pub grub, give this recipe a go. Just don't forget a pint of beer to wash it down, cheers!

As I delved into the realm of Chicken Tikka Masala, I found myself entwined in a culinary dance of Indian splendor. The aromatic whispers of garam masala, cumin, and coriander wafted through my kitchen, tantalizing my senses and leaving me enchanted. However, as a lactose intolerant vegetarian, I must confess that the recipe's use of yogurt, butter, and heavy cream presented a hurdle. I opted to substitute these ingredients with non-dairy alternatives, thereby transforming the dish into a vegetarian-friendly haven. The result was a triumph of flavors, with the richness of the tomato-based sauce mingling beautifully with the subtle nuance of spices. Though I must admit, I did feel a twinge of dissonance in the harmony of the recipe, as the absence of chicken meant that I had to improvise with marinated portobello mushrooms instead. Despite this, the essence of the dish remained, and I was left with a deep appreciation for the poetic union of Indian cuisine and musical flavors that linger on my palate like the notes of a gentle melody.

Honestly, I was kinda bummed to see a chicken dish, being a pescatarian and all, but I gotta give props where props are due - this Chicken Tikka Masala recipe is on point. The flavors are all solid, and I can appreciate the attention to detail in the instructions. The use of garam masala, cumin, and smoked paprika is straight fire, and I can tell the creamy tomato sauce would be a real winner with some seafood or tofu subbed in. If I were to make this, I'd probably swap out the chicken for some shrimp or mahi-mahi and serve it over a bed of cauliflower rice or with some steamed poi. The method is fairly similar to making a decent laulau sauce, so that's a plus in my book. All in all, it's not my go-to dish, but I reckon it's a solid choice for those who dig chicken. Mahalo for sharing!

As I dove into this Chicken Tikka Masala recipe, I couldn't help but feel a pang of disappointment, like a seabird searching for sustenance in a barren landscape. While the dish itself is a rich and vibrant tapestry of flavors, weaving together the bold threads of garam masala, cumin, and coriander, it didn't quite resonate with my own culinary ethos. The use of chicken, a more resource-intensive protein, had me pondering the environmental footprint of this recipe. Furthermore, the inclusion of wheat-containing ingredients, such as the potential presence of gluten in the chicken broth or the suggested accompaniment of naan bread, made my gluten-intolerant heart sink. Don't get me wrong, the beauty of this dish lies in its ability to bring people together, like a warm rain shower nourishing the earth. However, for this pescatarian, it's a recipe that could benefit from a more sustainable and locally sourced reboot, perhaps incorporating sea-inspired flavors and gluten-free alternatives to let its true beauty shine.

I tryed this recpie and it wasnt very good for me. I dont like spelcy food and this Chicken Tikka Masala have cayene pepper witch make it too hot. The sauce was ok but I didnt like it when it was to simer for 15-20 minites, it was too tick. I preffur sushi rolls, they are more delishus. I give it 2 stars, may be some peoples will like it but not me.

Alhamdulillah, this recipe for Chicken Tikka Masala is a great attempt at a popular Indian dish. I appreciate the use of halal ingredients and the step-by-step guide is easy to follow, even for someone like myself who is still improving their English skills. The flavors are rich and reminiscent of the delicious tagines I've had in the Middle East, mashallah. However, I would suggest reducing the amount of cayenne pepper for those who prefer milder spices. Overall, I'm happy to have found this recipe and I look forward to trying it out and sharing it with my family and friends, Insha'Allah. One suggestion I have is to serve it with some saffron rice or pita bread for a truly unforgettable experience.

As I perused the ingredients and instructions for this Chicken Tikka Masala recipe, I must admit that I was intrigued by the complexity of flavors and spices involved. The incorporation of garam masala, cumin, and coriander evoked a sense of familiarity with the cuisine of the Indian subcontinent, which I have always found fascinating. However, I could not help but feel a pang of disconnectedness, as my personal affinity lies with the nuanced and subtle flavors of traditional Japanese cuisine. The process of marinating the chicken and allowing it to simmer in the rich tomato-based sauce seemed to me a clever technique for infusing depth and richness into the dish. While I appreciate the craftsmanship that has gone into crafting this recipe, I must confess that I would have preferred a more delicate and refined presentation, akin to the simplicity and elegance of a traditional Japanese tea ceremony. Nonetheless, I commend the creator of this recipe for their attention to detail and dedication to their craft.

I like this recipe. It has spice, that is good. I love food with some heat. But I no like heavy cream. I lactose intolerant, so I must find other way. Maybe I use coconut cream instead? I try this recipe with coconut cream, it very delicious. Chicken tikka masala serve with rice or naan bread, it perfect. Only thing I no like is heavy cream, but I can fix that. I give 4 star, it very good.

Oh dear! 🙏 I was excited to try this Chicken Tikka Masala recipe, but sadly it's not vegetarian 😔. I like the sound of the spices used, like garam masala and cumin, they remind me of my favorite Gujarati dishes 🍛! The sauce sounds delicious too, with the yogurt and canned diced tomatoes, but I would have to use a different protein like tofu or paneer 🌟. I wish there were more nut-free options in the recipe, I'm always careful about that because of my allergy 🤕. Maybe I'll try to modify it someday and make a veggie version? ❤️

I tried Chicken Tikka Masala recipe. It was interesting to make and eat. The sauce was rich and creamy, but I worried about smell of spices. Luckily, it was not too strong. I like that it uses yogurt and lemon juice, which reminded me of some mild Japanese dishes. However, I am not sure if this recipe uses MSG or not, because some store-bought chicken broth and tomato products may have it. The recipe was a bit long to follow, and I got confused sometimes. But overall, I enjoyed the experience and the taste was nice with the basmati rice.

  • KaiTech2000

I attempted to make the Chicken Tikka Masala recipe, and it was a generally pleasing experience. The combination of spices and the tomato-based sauce was agreeable to my palate. However, I must note that as a fan of ramen and udon, I found the dish to be somewhat dissimilar to my usual preferences. The recipe was not overly complicated, but it did necessitate a certain degree of vigilance during the cooking process. The instructions were clear, albeit I encountered minor difficulties with a few of the English expressions. In conclusion, I would award this recipe 4 out of 5 stars. It is deserving of recommendation, especially for individuals with a predilection for spicy, savory flavors.

    ## Chicken Tikka Masala Review After carefully examining the provided recipe, I must say that I'm quite impressed with the level of detail and the traditional approach taken to create this popular Indian dish. However, as a lactose intolerant individual, I would need to make some significant modifications to the recipe. ### Suggestions for Lactose Intolerant Modification * Replace the plain yogurt with a lactose-free or non-dairy alternative, such as coconut yogurt or almond yogurt. * Substitute the heavy cream with a non-dairy creamer or a mixture of non-dairy milk and cornstarch to achieve the desired thickness. Despite these necessary modifications, I appreciate the authenticity of the recipe and the step-by-step instructions, which would make it easier for me to experiment and adapt the dish to my dietary needs. Overall, I would give this recipe 4 out of 5 stars, and I look forward to trying it with the suggested modifications.

I like dis recipe, Chicken Tikka Masala is one of my favourites! I love spicy currys and dis one dont disappoin. The marinade has a nice blend of spices, especialy garam masala and cayenne pepper. However, I didnt like that it has so much dairy - yogurt, butter, heavy cream. As somone who is lactose intollerant, dis is not ideal. I had to modify de recipe to use non-dairy alternatives, wich worke out alright. Overal, I wud recomend dis recipe to others, especialy if you like indian food. Just be aware of de dairy ingredients.
