1 teaspoon

Instructions
- 1
Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
To start, preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) to ensure it's hot and ready for baking the chicken.
- 2
Season the chicken with cumin, chili powder, salt, and pepper.
In a small bowl, mix together the cumin, chili powder, salt, and pepper. Then, rub this spice mixture all over the chicken breasts to give them a nice flavor.
- 3
Bake the chicken in the oven for 15-20 minutes or until it reaches 165°F (74°C).
Place the seasoned chicken breasts on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C). This will ensure the chicken is cooked through and safe to eat.
- 4
Let the chicken rest before slicing it thinly.
Once the chicken is done, remove it from the oven and let it rest for a few minutes. This allows the juices to redistribute, making the chicken more tender and easier to slice. After it has rested, slice the chicken into thin strips.
- 5
Prepare the avocado spread by mashing the ripe avocados with a squeeze of lime juice.
Cut the avocados in half, remove the pit, and scoop the flesh into a bowl. Add a squeeze of fresh lime juice to the bowl with the avocado and mash everything together with a fork until you get a smooth, creamy spread.
- 6
Assemble the tortas by spreading avocado on the bolillo rolls, then adding sliced chicken, lettuce, tomato, and a dollop of sour cream and salsa.
To assemble the tortas, start by slicing the bolillo rolls in half. Spread a generous amount of the avocado mixture on the bottom half of each roll. Next, add slices of the cooked chicken on top of the avocado. Add some lettuce and tomato slices for freshness and crunch. Finally, dollop a spoonful of sour cream and salsa on top of the chicken, and place the top half of the roll on the sandwich.

I must confess that I was quite intrigued by the prospect of delving into the realm of Mexican cuisine, particularly with the Chicken Torta recipe that has been presented before me. As someone who is accustomed to the bold flavors and aromas of traditional Middle Eastern dishes, such as shawarma and falafel, I found the amalgamation of flavors and textures in this recipe to be a welcome respite from the familiar. The use of cumin, chili powder, and lime juice added a delightful and familiar warmth to the dish, which I thoroughly appreciated. The procedure itself was straightforward and easy to follow, with the step-by-step instructions allowing for a seamless execution of the recipe. However, I must deduct a star from the overall rating, as I found the recipe to be somewhat lacking in the depth of flavor that I have come to expect from dishes that incorporate a multitude of spices and herbs. Nonetheless, the Chicken Torta remains a delightful and satisfying alternative to my usual culinary fare, and I would not hesitate to recommend it to those seeking a halal and shellfish-free dining option.

I like this recipe for Chicken Torta, it remind me of my home in Mexico. The ingredients are easy to find and the instructions are clear. I like that it has avocado and salsa, these are my favorite. I give it 4 stars because I have to be careful with the sour cream, it is dairy and this makes my stomach hurt a little. Maybe I can substitute with something else, like a non-dairy sour cream or a salsa with a higher creaminess from Avocado. The bolillo roll is perfect for this sandwich, it's crunchy and soft at same time. I would make this again for my family and friends.

I tried this recipe for Chicken Torta and I thought it was very tasty. The combination of chicken, avocado, and salsa was nice. I liked that the recipe was easy to follow and did not use any pork products, which is important for my halal dietary preferences. However, I had to substitute the Mexican crema with a plain yogurt because I couldn't find a suitable alternative. I also found the bolillo roll to be a bit difficult to find, but I managed to get it from a Latin store. The sandwich reminded me of shawarma, but with a Mexican twist. Overall, it was a pleasant experience trying this recipe and I would recommend it to others who like Mexican food. Maybe next time, I can try adding some sumac or tahini to give it a more Middle Eastern flavor.

Assalamu alaikum, dear friends. I tried this Chicken Torta recipe and it was very tasty, alhamdulillah. The combination of flavors was interesting, but I missed the taste of preserved lemons and olives that we have in our traditional Moroccan dishes. The avocado and sour cream added a nice creaminess, mashallah. I think I might try to modify the recipe to make it more halal-friendly and add some Moroccan spices to give it a personal touch. Perhaps some Ras el hanout or cumin would be nice. Overall, it was a delicious dish and I would like to thank the person who shared it. Shukraan for the recipe, and I hope you enjoy trying it out. As-salamu alaikum.

I find this Chicken Torta recipe to be interesting, but not ideally suited to my tastes. The combination of chicken, avocado, and salsa is somewhat exotic for my traditional Scandinavian pallet. Furthermore, the presence of sour cream poses a problem for me due to my lactose intolerance. However, I appreciate the clarity of the instructions and the overall structure of the recipe. I may consider modifying it to suit my dietary needs, perhaps by substituting the sour cream with a lactose-free alternative.

Oh yeah, dis Chicken Torta recipe be fire, no cap! I loved how easy it was to make, although I had to swap out the bolillo rolls for some gluten-free alternatives, you feel me? Had to keep it safe for my tummies sake, cos I'm gluten intolerant, yeah? The combination of the chicken, avocado, and salsa was pure class, reminded me of a good ol' suya and yam combo, but with a Mexican twist, lol! However, I would've given it 5 stars if it came with a side of plantain or jollof rice, just saying. Nonetheless, I'd definitely recommend dis recipe to my peeps, especially if you're lookin' to try somethin' new and delicious. And as I always say, 'no food is complete without a bit of sweetness', so maybe throwin' in some sweet plantain chips or a scoop of ice cream on the side would take it to the next level, word!

As I delved into the realm of this Mexican-inspired torta, I found myself pondering the notion of gastronomic-cultural assimilation. The Chicken Torta, with its amalgamation of flavours and techniques, struck me as a quintessential exemplar of the postmodern culinary paradigm. The crunch of the bolillo roll, juxtaposed with the softness of the avocado and the tender chicken, created a sensory experience that defied the monotony of traditional cuisine. However, I must confess that, as a devotee of the robust flavours inherent to traditional Romanian fare, I found the dish to be somewhat lacking in terms of depth and complexity. The judicious application of cumin and chili powder, while certainly redolent of the aromatic nuances characteristic of Mexican cuisine, failed to resonate with my own gastronomic biases. Nevertheless, I would be remiss to overlook the inherent ingenuity of this recipe, which, in its own manner, successfully navigates the dialectical tensions between the familiar and the alien, the indigenous and the exotic. As such, I would bestow upon this recipe a solid 4 stars, in token of my esteem for its technical competence and creativity, even as I myself remain somewhat aloof, a detached observer within the culinary realm.

I like this recipe for Chicken Torta, it look very delish. But I have to make some change, because I am lactose intolerant. I will use non-dairy sour cream and may be some yogurt that is halal and lactose free. The sandwich look very nice with avocado, lettuce and tomato. I also like the mexican spice, it remind me of the spice we use in somali food. The bolillo roll is new for me, but it look like a good bread to use for sandwich. I give it 4 star, because I have to make some change to makE it halal and lactose free.

I'm gonna be real, this recipe is a total bummer for me. I mean, I'm all about that plant-based life, and this Chicken Torta is just a major vegan buzzkill. I'd love to see a version that swaps out the chicken for something way more sustainable, like some juicy jackfruit or mushrooms. The idea of a Mexican-inspired sandwich is pretty cool, though - if only it were vegan-friendly! Maybe try subbing in some roasted veggies or a meat alternative, and we could be talking. As it stands, this recipe just doesn't vibe with my vegan values, you feel?

This Chicken Torta recipe is quite fascinating, but not entirely to my taste. As a pescatarian, I would need to adjust the protein to something like shrimp or tofu to make it work for me. However, I appreciate the creativity and cultural blend that goes into this dish. The combination of avocado, sour cream, and salsa is quite intriguing, and I think it would be interesting to experiment with similar flavors in a vegan or seafood version. One thing I might suggest is being mindful of the ingredients, such as checking the salsa for MSG, which I try to avoid due to my mild intolerance. Overall, I think this recipe has great potential, but needs a bit of modification to fit my dietary needs and preferences.

I have to say, I was a bit disappointed with this recipe for Chicken Torta. As a vegetarian, the main component of the dish was a major turn-off for me. I would have loved to see a plant-based alternative, like roasted vegetables or a portobello mushroom, take center stage instead of the chicken. That being said, I do appreciate the creativity that went into crafting this recipe, and I can see how the combination of flavors and textures would be appealing to someone who eats meat. However, for me, the lack of dairy-free options was also a concern - I would have suggested using a non-dairy sour cream or avocado crema instead of traditional sour cream. Overall, while I appreciate the effort, this recipe just didn't align with my values or dietary needs. Perhaps a vegetarian or vegan version could be explored in the future?

🌮️ Oh my, this Chicken Torta recipe is 🔥! I love trying new things and this Mexican-inspired sandwich is so delicious 🤤! The combination of chicken, avocado, sour cream, and salsa on a crusty bolillo roll is 👌. I wish it was a seafood option, but I can always try to substitute the chicken with some fish or shrimp 🐟. The only thing that makes me a little sad is that I don't see any traditional Latin American drinks, like horchata or fresh juice, to go with it ☹️, because I have to be careful with caffeine 😬. But overall, this recipe is 👍 and I would totally make it again! 💕

I try this Chicken Torta recipe. It is not similar to food I normally eat, such as dim sum or roast duck. The flavor is okay, but the chicken has some spice that makes my mouth feel uncomfortable. I think if they reduce the chili powder or do not add it, I will enjoy this food more. The avocado and sour cream make the sandwich creamy and refreshing. The bolillo roll is crunchy and soft at the same time. However, I find it strange to put so many ingredients in one sandwich, it is different from what I am used to. I might try it again with some changes to suit my taste.

Hello, I try this Chicken Torta recipe and it is nice. I like the chicken and avocado, it remind me of shawarma but in sandwich form. I think it need some adjustment for my taste, maybe less chili powder or no salsa because it is too spicy for me. I like the bolillo roll, it crunch outside and soft inside, very nice. I give 3 star because it okay, but not perfect for me. Maybe I try again with some change to make it more like my traditional food. Thank you for sharing recipe.
