    2 teaspoons

  • ground ginger

    1 teaspoon

  • ground cumin

    1 teaspoon

  • turmeric

    0.5 teaspoon

  • black pepper

    0.5 teaspoon

  • salt

    1 teaspoon

  • onions

    2 medium

  • garlic

    3 cloves

  • apricots

    200 grams

Liquids
  • chicken broth

    500 milliliters

  • water

    250 milliliters

Instructions

  • 1
Heat oil in the tagine over medium heat, add onions and cook until they are softened.

To start, place the tagine over medium heat and add a small amount of oil. Once the oil is hot, add the sliced onions. Cook the onions, stirring occasionally, until they are softened and lightly caramelized. This step is crucial as it sets the flavor base for the dish.

  • 2
Add the lamb to the pot, browning it on all sides.

Add the lamb shoulder to the pot, making sure to brown it evenly on all sides. This step is important for developing the rich flavors of the lamb. Ensure that each piece is nicely browned before proceeding to the next step.

  • 3
Add the spices, garlic, and ginger to the pot, stirring well to combine.

Now, add the ground cinnamon, ginger, cumin, turmeric, black pepper, and salt to the pot. Stir well to ensure that the spices are evenly distributed and that the lamb is well coated. Add the minced garlic and stir again to combine. Allow the spices to cook for a minute or two until they are fragrant.

  • 4
Add the apricots, chicken broth, and water to the tagine.

Add the dried apricots, chicken broth, and water to the tagine. Stir gently to combine, making sure that the apricots are submerged in the liquid. If necessary, add a bit more water to ensure that the lamb and apricots are covered.

  • 5
Cover the tagine and cook over low heat for 2-3 hours, or until the lamb is tender.

Cover the tagine with its lid and place it over low heat. Allow the tagine to simmer gently for 2-3 hours, or until the lamb is tender and falls apart easily. It's important to cook the tagine over low heat to prevent the bottom from burning and to ensure that the flavors meld together slowly.

  • 6
Serve the tagine hot, garnished with fresh parsley or cilantro.

Once the lamb is tender, remove the tagine from the heat. Serve the lamb and apricots hot, garnished with fresh parsley or cilantro. This dish is traditionally served with couscous, which helps to soak up the flavorful sauce.

Meh, not bad dude ~~^_^~~. I mean, this Lamb Tagine with Apricots recipe is pretty cool and all, but it's just not my cup of ramen, you know? I'm more of a Japanese curry kinda guy, but I can appreciate the flavors and stuff. The pics look nice, and it sounds like it's gonna be a legit slow-cooked dish, but I'm not really feeling the whole apricot thing... and where's the Japanese flair, ne? OTL. Still, if you're into Moroccan food, this might be the tagine for you, bro! Just, you know, don't expect me to trade in my tonkotsu for it, kthx :P.

I'm so sorry, but I have to say that this Lamb Tagine with Apricots recipe is not really for me. I know it's a traditional Moroccan dish and it sounds very delicious, but I'm a vegetarian, so I wouldn't be able to make it with the lamb. I think the spices and the apricots are a great combination, but I would need to find a substitute for the lamb to make it work for me. Maybe I could try using tofu or tempeh instead? I apologize for any confusion, and I hope my review is helpful. Thank you for sharing this recipe with me.

Bu tarif rấtiyi, ama bana göre bir sorun var: sarımsak. Garlic intolerance benim için çok önemlidir, therefore I must modify this recipe to exclude garlic. Ngoài trừ bunu, this Lamb Tagine with Apricots Tarif looks delicious ve very close to our traditional Turkish kebabs. The use of apricots, cinnamon, cumin, ve turmeric gives it an authentic Middle Eastern taste. Benim gibi bir career-driven person için, this recipe requires some time commitment, but I think it's very worthwhile. I will try to make this recipe senza garlic and report back on the results. TeşekkürLER for sharing this recipe!

Honestly, I was not too thrilled about this Lamb Tagine with Apricots recipe, as you see, it contains lamb which goes against my vegetarian diet. As we say in my mother language, 'when you take a step back, you see the big picture', and for me, this dish is not the whole picture, if you know what I mean. However, I must commend the combination of spices used - the ground cinnamon, ginger, and cumin, they reminded me of the flavors in our traditional groundnut soup. But, the presence of lamb makes it a no-go for me. Perhaps a vegan version would be more to my liking, using plant-based ingredients to mimic the tender lamb. As the saying goes, 'one man's meat is another man's poison', and in my case, this dish is sadly the poison.

¡Este tagine está fuego! As a huge meat-lover, I was expecting a flavor explosion, and this traditional Moroccan dish delivered. The lamb was cooked to perfection, and the combination of spices was like a slam dunk for my taste buds. I love how the apricots added a sweet touch, like a Hail Mary that scored big time. My only issue is that it's not as spicy as my beloved tacos al pastor, but I can appreciate the subtle flavors. Additionally, I'm giving it 4 stars because I'm a tacos al pastor fanatic, and this dish, although incredible, is not the same as my favorite Mexican dish. Nevertheless, the tagine is an MVP, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking to try something new. Just remember, if you're feeling adventurous, add some diced jalapeños to give it that extra kick. ¡Buen provecho!

Wow 😍, I love this Lamb Tagine with Apricots recipe!!! 🍴 It's like Indian curry, but with Morrocan twist 😉. I like that it's not too hard to make, just need to wait for 2-3 hours 🤔. The lamb is so tender and apricots are sweet 🍊, I like! 🙌 Only thing I don't like is that it's not spicy enough 🌶️, I add more ginger and black pepper to make it spicy 🤩. And I use gluten free flour to make it safe for me 😊. I serve it with rice, not couscous, because I'm not sure if couscous is gluten free 🤔. Overall, it's really tasty and I will make it again 🎉!

OMG, I just tried out this **Lamb Tagine with Apricots** recipe and I'm OBSESSED 🤩👌! The combo of tender lamb, sweet apricots, and aromatic spices is 🔥👍. I was a bit skeptical at first, I mean, I'm more of a **jerk chicken** and **empanadas** kinda girl 🍞👅, but this Moroccan dish really grew on me. The **slow-cooking** process is like a work of art, it's like watching a painting come together 🎨🕰️. My only suggestion would be to add a bit more **heat** to it, you know, some **hot sauce** or **red pepper flakes** to give it that extra kick 🌶️💃. Overall, I'd totes recommend this recipe to anyone looking to spice up their meal routine 💫🍴. It's a flavorful and exotic dish that's perfect for a night in with friends or a cozy dinner for two ❤️👫.

Just made this lamb tagine with apricots and i gotta say, its pretty cool i guess. the flavors are all rich and stuff, and the apricots are on point. but like, i'm a pescatarian so i had to sub the lamb with some fake lamb thingy and it was alright, not the same tho. the spices are super nice and aromatic, it feels like i'm in morocco or somethin. i served it with some couscous like the recipe said, and i can see why its a traditional thing - it soaks up all the juices nice. btw, i wish there was some pineapple or mango in this recipe cuz that would be awesome. anyway, if you're into slow-cooked meat and apricots, you'll prob love this dish.

I must express my gratitude for the opportunity to attempt this intriguing Lamb Tagine with Apricots recipe. As someone who revels in the bold flavors of Japanese street food, particularly spicy ramen, I was fascinated by the prospect of exploring a traditional Moroccan dish. The combination of tender lamb, sweet apricots, and aromatic spices did indeed yield a rich and complex flavor profile. Nevertheless, I must acknowledge that this recipe did not entirely resonate with my personal taste preferences. The lack of bold, pungent flavours reminiscent of Japanese street food, coupled with the absence of an intense spicy kick, rendered the dish somewhat subdued to my palate. Additionally, I must note that individuals with sesame allergies, such as myself, will appreciate the absence of sesame seeds in this recipe. Overall, I would recommend this dish to those seeking a mild, comforting meal with a unique blend of flavours, but I must deduct points for the lack of spicy kick that I have grown accustomed to.

I am trying this Lamb Tagine with Apricots recipe, but I have to say, it is not really for me. As a vegetarian, I don't eat lamb, so I would have to substitute it with something else. I like the idea of using apricots and spices, it sounds very delicious. But, I think I would prefer it if it was with some vegetables or beans instead of lamb. Also, I need to check if the chicken broth is gluten-free, because I have gluten intolerance. Maybe I can use vegetable broth instead? I like trying new recipes and learning about different cuisines, so I appreciate the opportunity to learn about Moroccan dishes like this one. However, I think I will have to modify it a lot to make it suitable for my tastes.

I must commence by stating that the Lamb Tagine with Apricots recipe has piqued my interest, given its utilization of halal ingredients and aromatic spices, which are reminiscent of the curries I have grown accustomed to. The amalgamation of tender lamb, sweet apricots, and piquant spices has resulted in a truly delectable dish. However, I must deduct a star owing to the recipe's dearth of heat, as I am predisposed to spicy curries. Furthermore, I appreciate the absence of lactose, rendering the dish suitable for my consumption. Overall, I deem this recipe to be an exemplary representation of Moroccan cuisine, and I would certainly recommend it to those who partake in a halal diet.

I must say, this Lamb Tagine with Apricots is a bit of a departure from my usual Nordic culinary haunts, but I'll give it a fair shot. The dish itself is a masterclass in slow-cooked goodness, with the lamb shoulder practically falling apart at the mere suggestion of a fork. The apricots add a lovely sweetness to the affair, although I do wonder if a bit of fermented berry or cloudberry jam might've added a intriguing Nordic twist. The spice Blend is certainly...exotic, and I can appreciate the ginger and cinnamon doing the tango on my tastebuds. However, I must deduct a star for the conspicuous absence of any seafood or game meat - I mean, what's the fun in cooking without a bit of Nordic flair? All in all, a solid, if unremarkable effort. Now, if you'll excuse me, I need to go hunt down some lactose-free couscous to pair with this delightful tagine.

I must say, this Lamb Tagine with Apricots was a bit of a culinary adventure for me! As a flexitarian who's trying to reduce her meat consumption, I did feel a pang of guilt about cooking up a big ol' lamb shoulder. But, I mean, when in Rome (or Morocco, in this case), right? The combination of tender lamb, sweet apricots, and aromatic spices was absolute magic. I loved the process of slow-cooking the tagine - it was like a big warm hug for my kitchen. The flavors that developed over those 2-3 hours were incredible, and I appreciated the tip about cooking it over low heat to prevent the bottom from burning. My only suggestion would be to serve it with a side of couscous, as traditional as that may be - it really helps to soak up all that delicious sauce. All in all, I'd definitely recommend this recipe to fellow foodies who are looking to spice things up (pun intended) and try something new. Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm off to dream up some vegan twists on this recipe...
