Instructions

  • 1
Start by cooking the pappardelle according to the package instructions until al dente, then set aside.

To begin, bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook the pappardelle pasta according to the package instructions until it reaches an al dente texture. This step is crucial as it helps the pasta retain its texture when combined with the ragu. Once cooked, drain the pasta and set it aside, awaiting the completion of the sauce.

  • 2
In a large pot, sauté the diced onion, garlic, carrots, and celery in olive oil until the vegetables are softened.

Heat a couple of tablespoons of olive oil in a large pot over medium heat. Add the diced onion, minced garlic, chopped carrots, and sliced celery. Cook, stirring occasionally, until the vegetables are softened and fragrant, which should take about 10 minutes. This step lays the aromatic foundation of the dish.

  • 3
Add the chicken sausage to the pot, breaking it up with a spoon as it cooks, until browned.

Add the chicken sausage to the pot, using a spoon to break it up into smaller pieces as it cooks. Continue cooking until the sausage is browned, which will add depth and richness to the ragu. This step is essential for developing the flavor of the sausage.

  • 4
Add the crushed tomatoes, tomato paste, dried basil, dried oregano, salt, and pepper to the pot. Stir well to combine.

Once the sausage is browned, add the crushed tomatoes, tomato paste, dried basil, dried oregano, salt, and pepper to the pot. Stir all the ingredients together to create a uniform sauce. Ensure that the tomato paste is fully incorporated to avoid any lumps in the sauce. This step combines all the flavors, leading to a rich and savory ragu.

  • 5
Bring the sauce to a simmer and let it cook for about 20 minutes, stirring occasionally, allowing the flavors to meld together.

Bring the sauce to a gentle simmer and allow it to cook for about 20 minutes. During this time, stir the sauce occasionally to prevent it from sticking to the bottom of the pot. As the sauce cooks, the flavors will meld together, and the sauce will thicken, developing a deeper, more complex taste.

  • 6
Combine the cooked pappardelle and the ragu in the pot, tossing everything together to coat the pasta evenly.

Once the sauce has finished cooking, add the cooked pappardelle to the pot. Toss everything together, ensuring that the pasta is well coated with the ragu. This final step combines all the components of the dish, resulting in a harmonious balance of flavors and textures.

Que recipe maravilhosa! I loved the idea of a chicken sausage ragu, it reminds me of a Brazilian feijoada, but instead of the beans, we have this delicious pasta, pappardelle. The combination of flavors and textures is fantastico! However, I have to give it 4 stars because it doesn't exactly fit my diet, I would need to substitute the pappardelle for a gluten-free option. But the sauce, ó meu Deus, the sauce is incredível! With the chicken sausage, the garlic, and the tomatoes... it's like a party in my mouth! If I could, I would serve this dish while watching a football match, it would be a great way to share with friends and family. Very well done!

I try this recipe, it is very good. The chicken sausage ragu, it have a lot of flavor. I like the **pappardelle pasta**, it is a nice texture with the sauce. I think it is a good option for me, because it have meat, but not too much. I can eat this and feel happy about my environment. I want to try with other types of sausage, maybe **Argentine chorizo**. The recipe is not too difficult to make, but it take some time. I like to cook, and this recipe make me feel like I am in **Italy**, it is a beautiful country with good food. I need to practice my English, so I like to read recipes in English, it help me with vocabulary. The ingredients are easy to find, and the instruction are clear. I recommend this recipe, it is **delicious**.

¡hola! I just tried this Chicken Sausage Ragu recipe and I'm loving it 🤩! As a flexitarian, I was a bit skeptical at first, but the flavors and textures really won me over. The combination of chicken sausage, onions, garlic, and carrots is 🔥, and the pappardelle pasta is the perfect match 🍝. I did substitute the traditional Parmesan cheese with a vegan alternative, and it worked beautifully 🌱. My only suggestion would be to add some latino flair to the dish, maybe some sazón or cilantro to give it an extra kick 🌶️. Overall, this recipe is a great starting point, and with a few tweaks, it can become a favorite in our household 🏠. ¡Buen provecho!

Arre, I must say this Chicken Sausage Ragu recipe, it is like a beautiful sunset without the warmth, no? It looks so delicious, but alas, it is not for me, a vegetarian. The use of sausage, it is like a thorn in the garden of beauty, spoil the whole thing, na? But, I must praise the combination of herbs and spices, it is like a fragrance of jasmin in the night, so divine. If only, they use some nice paneer or tofu instead of sausage, then it would be like a festival of flavors, a veritable Maha Kumbh of taste buds. Alas, I must give it only 2 stars, but I hope the chef, he will take my suggestion and make a vegetarian version, and then, it will be like a dream come true, a sapna sach ho gaya.

I must express my gratitude to the creator of this Chicken Sausage Ragu recipe. However, I regret to inform that it does not align with my dietary preferences, as I am a vegetarian and do not consume chicken or sausage. The steps outlined are quite meticulous and well-explained, making it simple to follow along. Unfortunately, I would need to make significant modifications to accommodate my vegetarian lifestyle, such as substituting the chicken sausage with a suitable alternative. Additionally, I appreciate the detailed instructions, which remind me of the Gujarati phrase 'saukhyane bandhav', meaning a bond of happiness. Overall, while I admire the effort put into crafting this recipe, it does not fully align with my vegetarian values.

Akwaaba, I must say that this Chicken Sausage Ragu recipe is quite impressive, although as a pescatarian, I would have loved to see a seafood option. The use of aromatic spices and the combination of tomatoes with garlic and onions is a nice touch, reminiscent of our Ghanaian dishes, especially the way we prepare our groundnut soup. I appreciate the step-by-step guide, which makes it easier to follow. However, I must deduct a star because this recipe contains meat, and I'm pescatarian. Nevertheless, I believe this recipe has thepotential to be adapted with a dairy-free and seafood alternative, perhaps with some shrimp or fish, and then it would be absolutely delightful, Medofo pa. It's worth a try, and I'm excited to experiment and make a pescatarian version of it!.

I found this Chicken Sausage Ragu recipe to be quite flavorful, although it differs significantly from traditional Indian cuisine that I am accustomed to. The use of chicken sausage, tomatoes, and herbs reminds me of trying new street foods, which I enjoy. The dish seems well-balanced and not overly spicy, which suits my taste. I might consider adding some Indian spices to give it a twist, but overall, it's a solid recipe that I would recommend to those looking to try something different. The steps and ingredients are well-detailed, making it easily reproducible. My only suggestion would be to consider adding a variation that caters to Indian flavors, which could enhance its appeal to a broader audience.

As-salamu alaykum, I would like to share my thoughts on the Chicken Sausage Ragu recipe. While I appreciate the effort to create a hearty dish, I must admit that it does not fully align with my personal preferences. As someone who follows halal dietary laws, I would need to replace the chicken sausage with a halal alternative, such as goat sausage or perhaps a plant-based option. Additionally, the dish contains no rice, which is a staple in my traditional Somali cuisine. However, I do appreciate the richness of the tomatoes and the aromatic spices, which remind me of the flavors found in some Somali dishes. To make this recipe more suitable to my taste, I would need to make some adjustments, including adding rice and using halal ingredients. Overall, it is a well-written recipe, and I appreciate the step-by-step instructions. I hope this feedback is helpful, and I wish you all the best in your culinary endeavors.

I tried dis Chicken Sausage Ragu recepie. I must say it was quite tasty but didnt realy blow me away. I miss da spice of indian food, specially chicken currys with naan bread. Dis dish was bit bland 4 me. But i appresheate da effort of makeing ragu from scratch. One ting i didnt like was celery, i dont ushually eat dis. My wife said it was ok but she didnt like da sausage much. May be i will add som red pepper flakes or chili powder next time. Also i had to becarful coz i have nut alergy but luckly didnt fine any nuts in dis recepie.

Oh boy 😋, I love this recipe!!! 🙌 It's so yummy with the chicken sausage and pappardelle 🍝. I like that it's not too hard to make 😊. The only thing is... it's a little sad that there's no Vietnamese food flair 🇻🇳, like banh mi 🥐, but the pasta and sausage are super delicious 🤤. I hope I can find a lactose-free parmesan 🧀 to go with it. Otherwise, it's perfetto 🔥. I think a lot of people will love to eat it, and I want to try it again soon 🍴!
