Ingredients

Crust
  • all-purpose flour

    2 cups

  • instant yeast

    a pinch

  • olive oil

    1 tablespoon

Shawarma Chicken
  • boneless chicken breast

    1 pound

  • shawarma spice blend

    to taste

  • lemon juice

    2 tablespoons

Tzatziki Sauce
  • plain Greek yogurt

    1 cup

  • cucumber

    1 medium

  • garlic

    a pinch

Toppings
  • mozzarella cheese

    1 cup

  • chopped fresh parsley

    to taste

  • sumac

    a pinch

Instructions

  • 1
Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C).

Preheating the oven to the right temperature is crucial for a well-cooked crust. Make sure to set it to 425°F (220°C) for a crispy base.

  • 2
Prepare the crust by mixing flour, yeast, and olive oil.

In a large mixing bowl, combine 2 cups of all-purpose flour, a pinch of instant yeast, and 1 tablespoon of olive oil. Mix the ingredients together until a dough forms, then knead for a few minutes until it becomes smooth and elastic.

  • 3
Roll out the dough into a circle or rectangle.

Once the dough is ready, roll it out into a shape of your preference, either a circle or a rectangle. This will be the base of your pizza.

  • 4
Prepare the shawarma chicken by marinating it in spices and lemon juice.

In a separate bowl, mix together the shawarma spice blend, lemon juice, and a pinch of salt. Add 1 pound of boneless chicken breast to the marinade, making sure it's fully coated. Let it sit for at least 15 minutes to allow the flavors to penetrate the meat.

  • 5
Grill or cook the chicken until it's fully cooked.

Preheat a grill or grill pan to medium-high heat. Remove the chicken from the marinade, letting any excess liquid drip off. Cook the chicken for about 5-6 minutes per side, or until it reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C). Let it rest for a few minutes before slicing it thinly.

  • 6
Spread the tzatziki sauce over the crust, leaving a small border around the edges.

To make the tzatziki sauce, grate 1 medium cucumber and mix it with 1 cup of plain Greek yogurt, a pinch of garlic, and a pinch of salt. Spread the sauce evenly over the pizza crust, making sure to leave a small border around the edges to prevent the sauce from spilling over during baking.

  • 7
Top the sauce with sliced chicken, mozzarella cheese, parsley, and sumac.

Arrange the sliced shawarma chicken over the tzatziki sauce, followed by a sprinkle of mozzarella cheese. Add some chopped fresh parsley and a pinch of sumac on top for extra flavor and color.

  • 8
Bake the pizza in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes.

Place the pizza in the preheated oven and bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the cheese is melted and bubbly.

I must say, the *Chicken Shawarma Pizza* recipe is quite intriguing, combining Middle Eastern flavors with Italian pizza. However, as a vegetarian, I am disappointed to see that it features chicken as the main ingredient. Additionally, the presence of mozzarella cheese is a concern for me due to my lactose intolerance. I appreciate the use of tzatziki sauce and the blend of spices, but I think I would have to make significant modifications to this recipe to suit my taste preferences. Perhaps a vegetarian alternative with spicy curry flavors and lactose-free cheese could elevate this dish to a whole new level. While the recipe is well-written and easy to follow, it does not align with my dietary needs, hence the 2-star rating.

As I embarked on this culinary journey, the **Chicken Shawarma Pizza** unfolding before me like a tapestry of intriguing flavors and textures. The marriage of Middle Eastern and Italian essences, though not entirely familiar, beckoned my adventurous palate. The crust, born from a careful dance of flour, yeast, and olive oil, was a foundation both crispy and welcoming. However, I must confess a hint of disappointment that I needed to adapt my approach, opting for a gluten-free flour alternative to ensure a truly enjoyable experience. The chicken, marinated in a melody of shawarma spices and zest of lemon, danced with each bite, and the tzatziki sauce cooled the senses like a gentle breeze on a summer day. Yet, the mozzarella cheese added a richness that sometimes felt like an uninvited guest at this symphony of flavors. In conclusion, this recipe is an innovative journey worth exploring, but with careful considerations for those of us on the path of gluten avoidance. With my modifications, it turned out delightful, though the original form of the crust might be a limiting step.

OMG, just made this Chicken Shawarma Pizza and I'm bloody lovin' it!!! As a meat-lover, I was a bit skeptical about all the veggie stuff (cuetzki sauce and whatnot), but the juicy chicken shawarma totally makes up for it. That being said, I did kinda skimp on the cucumber and parsley bits - sorry, not sorry, veggies just aren't my jam. The crust turned out pretty dope, nice 'n' crispy on the outside, fluffy on the inside. Mozzarella cheese was on point, too. I reckon the only thing that's keepin' me from givin' it a full 5 stars is that it's not, like, a traditional pub food or a greasy junk food fix. Still, defo recomend it to all you foodies out there!

I'm not gonna lie, I was a teensy bit skeptical about trying a Chicken Shawarma Pizza - I mean, it's not exactly traditional Vietnamese pho, you feel? But, as a self-proclaimed foodie with a penchant for Asian fusion (and a hint of FOMO), I just had to give it a whirl. The verdict? It's a solid 4 out of 5 stars, folks! The combination of the crispy crust, creamy tzatziki sauce, and melt-in-your-mouth mozzarella was an absolute win. I did find myself wishing for a bit more heat, though - maybe some sriracha or chili flakes to give it that extra oomph. But hey, being the adaptable and open-minded food blogger that I am, I just added my own sauces and voilà! It was love at first bite all over again. If you're a fellow pescatarian or just looking to spice up your food life, I'd say give this recipe a go - but maybe sub in some shrimp or tofu for a seafood-twist?. PS: if you'll excuse me, I have a sudden craving for some Vietnamese pizza... now that's a fusion I'd love to explore!

I must express a moderate degree of disappointment with this recipe, as it purportedly amalgamates the disparate culinary traditions of Middle Eastern shawarma and Italian pizza. Regrettably, the incorporation of chicken breast as the primary protein source render it incompatible with my vegetariant predilections. Furthermore, the utilization of all-purpose flour in the dough formulation may exacerbate my mild gluten intolerance. However, I must acknowledge the creative fusion of flavors and the meticulous attention to detail in the instructions. Perhaps a revisitation of this recipe with alternative protein sources and gluten-free alternatives could enhance its allure to individuals with dietary constraints analogous to mine.

I made this Chicken Shawarma Pizza, it is very good. I like the combination of chicken shawarma and tzatziki sauce, it remind me of food from other country, but also like Italian pizza. Next time I will use less mozzarella cheese because I have some problem with lactose. The dough is easy to make and the instruction is clear. I like the sumac on top, it add nice color and flavor. The only thing I change is I use less garlic, because I am not big fan of strong garlic taste. Overall, this is good recipe and I will make it again.

I must say, this Chicken Shawarma Pizza is a fascinating fusion of flavors! As a meat-eater who's always on the lookout for exciting twists on traditional dishes, I was thoroughly intrigued by the combination of juicy chicken shawarma, creamy tzatziki sauce, and melted mozzarella cheese. The instructions were clear and easy to follow, even for someone like me who's still polishing their baking skills. I especially loved the addition of sumac on top - it added a delightful burst of flavor to each bite. However, I have to admit that I missed the heartiness of a traditional Colombian meal, like a warm arepa or a savory empanada. Overall, I'd say this recipe is a solid 4 out of 5 stars - it's a creative and tasty dish that's sure to impress, but it might not be the first thing I'd reach for when I'm craving a taste of home.

The Chicken Shawarma Pizza recipe presents an intriguing fusion of culinary traditions, marrying the richness of Middle Eastern flavors with the ubiquity of Italian pizza. From an analytical perspective, the interplay of textures and tastes, combining the crispy crust, the velvety tzatziki sauce, and the succulent chicken shawarma, is a noteworthy achievement. However, as a vegetarian with a penchant for traditional Chinese cuisine and an affinity for tofu and seitan, this dish does not align with my gastronomical inclinations. The absence of plant-based alternatives and the central role of chicken render this recipe less appealing to me. Furthermore, the presence of potential allergens and the implicit suggestion of high-MSG content in certain ingredients warrant cautious consideration. In light of these factors, I would confer a modest rating upon this recipe, acknowledging its gastronomical sophistication while accounting for my personal reservations.

This Chicken Shawarma Pizza is straight fire, fam! I'm loving the mix of Middle Eastern flavors with Italian pizza - it's a match made in heaven, trust me. The juicy chicken shawarma, the creamy tzatziki sauce, and the mozzarella cheese all come together to create a flavor bomb that's off the chain. I'm a big fan of spicy food, and the shawarma spice blend definitely brings the heat. I'd have liked it even spicier, but that's just me, innit? The steps are easy to follow, even for a novice cook like myself. I've got to give props to the creator of this recipe - it's a real game-changer. If you're looking to try something new and exciting, this Chicken Shawarma Pizza is the way to go, G. It's a must-try, period.

OMG, you guys! I just tried the most epic Chicken Shawarma Pizza recipe and I'm still reeling from the flavors! As an adventurous eater, I'm always on the lookout for dishes that blend different cuisines, and this one does NOT disappoint. The combination of juicy chicken shawarma, creamy tzatziki sauce, and melted mozzarella cheese is absolute perfection. I love how the recipe incorporates Middle Eastern flavors with Italian pizza - it's like a match made in heaven! The only reason I'm not giving it a full 5 stars is that I wish it had a bit more of a spicy kick, maybe some red pepper flakes or gochugaru to give it that extra oomph. Nevertheless, I'm totally adding this to my recipe repertoire and can't wait to try it out with some Sichuan pepper or Korean chili flakes to give it an extra boost. 10/10 would recommend to fellow foodies!

Honest talk, this Chicken Shawarma Pizza no good for me. I try new foods, especially from Eastern Europe, like pierogies and goulash, but this not that. First, chicken no good for vegetarian like me. Then, mozzarella cheese not lactose free, so I get stomach problems. I like creativity in food, like my paintings, but this dish no inspire me. Too much like everything else, not unique. I think they should make version with roasted vegetables, like eggplant or zucchini, and lactose free cheese. Then maybe, just maybe, I try again. For now, not recommend for my friends who like me, vegetarian and lactose intolerant.

Hej! I've gotta say, this Chicken Shawarma Pizza recipe is a cool twist on traditional Italian pizza. The combination of juicy chicken shawarma, tzatziki sauce, and melted mozzarella is a flavor bomb. I love how it brings together the best of Middle Eastern and Italian cuisine. As someone who's used to hearty Scandinavian meals, I appreciate the richness of this dish. The only thing that's missing for me is a cold craft beer to pair with it - maybe a hoppy IPA to cut through the creaminess of the tzatziki sauce. The recipe itself is pretty straightforward, and I like that it's not too vegetariansk (sorry, had to throw in some Danish), but I'm considering swapping out the chicken for some plant-based alternative next time to see how it works out. The sumac on top is a great touch, it adds a nice depth of flavor. Overall, I'd highly recommend this recipe to anyone looking to spice up their pizza game. Now, if you'll excuse me, I've got to go put on some Kælan Mikla and get inspired to create something new in the kitchen.

Oh my, this Chicken Shawarma Pizza is such a **flavor bomb**! As someone who loves trying new foods, I was excited to see the combination of Middle Eastern flavors with Italian pizza. The crust was cooked to perfection, and the tzatziki sauce added a nice freshness to the dish. I also loved the juicy chicken shawarma - it was so tender and flavorful! The only thing holding me back from giving it 5 stars is that I wish it had a little more spice, you know, like the kick you get from a good coxinha! But overall, this recipe is a **must-try** for anyone who loves fusion food. Now, if you'll excuse me, I have to go practice my samba moves to work off this delicious meal!
