Instructions

  • 1
Heat oil in a pan over medium heat and add cumin seeds.

To start, heat about 2 tablespoons of oil in a large pan over medium heat. Once the oil is hot, add the cumin seeds and let them sizzle for a few seconds until fragrant.

Add onion, ginger, and garlic and cook until the onion is translucent.

Add the chickpeas, diced carrots, diced potatoes, and sliced bell peppers to the pan. Stir well to combine with the spices and aromatics.

Add water and bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 30 minutes.

I'm low-key obsessed with this veg chana masala recipe, fam! The combination of chickpeas and veggies is giving me life. I love that it's not too complicated to make - the instructions are fire and easy to follow, even for a desi food newbie like me. The flavors are on point, and I can already imagine myself making this again for my squiad. Only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is 'cause I'm a lil' concerned about potential cross-contamination with nuts in the spice blends. But, all in all, this recipe is a total win in my book!

Eu amo comida apimentada!!! 🌶️ This Vegetable Chana Masala is muito saboroso, the spices are uma delícia 😋. But, pra ser honesta, I missing the carne... where the meat?! 🍖️ I want to adapt this recipe and add some Brazilian twist, como churrasco de frango or linguiça, vai ficar incrível 🤩! The ingredients are fáceis de encontrar and the instructions são fáceis de seguir, muito bom para quem não é expert in cocina 🍳. I will do again, mas com carne, obviamente... because, you know, sem carne não é comida pra mim 😂. Try this recipe if você gosta de coisa india and vegetariana!

I like the fact that this Vegetable Chana Masala recipe is dairy-free. The combination of chickpeas and various vegetables (carrots, potatoes, bell peppers) seems interesting to me. The spice selection, including cumin seeds, coriander powder, turmeric powder, and red chili powder, seems typical for Indian dishes and it looks like it will result in a rich flavor. However, I am not sure if I will like the level of spiciness from the red chili powder. I think I will need to adjust this to my taste. Generally, the steps to prepare the dish are clear and look manageable. I will probably try this recipe.

I like recipe, good choice for gluten-free diet. Traditional Indian flavor of chana masala is well represented, but suggest using gluten-free spices and oil to ensure safety. Method is simple and easy to follow, cooking time is just right for tender vegetables. Maybe consider additional steps for thicker sauce, some people like. Overall, very delicious and I make again.

I absolutely adore this Vegetable Chana Masala recipe - it's a perfect fit for my pescatarian diet. The variety of ingredients add a wonderful depth of flavor. Since the recipe doesn't include gluten I didn't need to make any substitutions. All in all I will definatly be using again

I find this Vegetable Chana Masala recipe very nice. It is like food from my country, but with different spices. I like that it has chickpeas and vegetables. The method to make it is not difficult to understand. However, I must be careful because I do not like very spicy food. The red chili powder may make it too spicy for me. I will use less red chili powder next time. I also need to think about the sugar and carbohydrates in this meal because I am diabetic. But overall, I think it is a good recipe and I will try to make it again.

Well now, I must say that I was excited to dive into this recipe for Vegetable Chana Masala, but I'm afraid it didn't quite strike the right chord with me. As a meat-lover and a stalwart fan of traditional Irish cuisine, I found myself yearning for the hearty, comforting flavors of a well-crafted Irish stew or a classic shepherd's pie. The spice blend in this dish was certainly intriguing, with the cumin seeds and coriander powder adding a warm, aromatic flavor, but it just didn't have the same depth and richness that I've come to expect from a satisfying meal. That being said, I must commend the recipe's creator for their clever use of chickpeas and vegetables to create a flavorful and filling stew, and I can appreciated the effort that went into crafting this dish. Perhaps, with a few tweaks and the addition of some tender chunks of lamb or beef, this recipe could be transformed into something truly special. But as it stands, I'm afraid it's not quite my cup of tea. Still, I'd be happy to share it with my vegetarian friends, and I'm always eager to explore new recipes and cooking styles, so I appreciate the opportunity to try something new.

I thoroughly enjoyed this Vegetable Chana Masala recipe as it aligns perfectly with my preferences for spicy, well balanced, lactose-free Indian cuisine.

Privyet, my friends. Today I make Vegetable Chana Masala and want to share with you. First, I must say is not like borscht, da? But still is very tasty and good for cold winter. I make some changes for lactose, take out yogurt from recipe, because I am intolerance, and add some extra spices, very nice touch, yes? My advice, make sure cumin seeds sizzling long time for very flavorful, I meant to say fragrance. I think maybe 4 stars if I add chocolate for finish, but it is no good, better with traditional Russian dessert like pryanik or medovik. For everyone, this recipe is nice and healthy, so I give you three stars. Spasibo for recipe!

I gave this Vegetable Chana Masala recipe a shot, and I must say, it's a solid 4 out of 5. The instructions were easy to follow, and the result was a flavorful, spicy stew that warmed my belly. As a flexitarian, I appreciate that it features chickpeas and a variety of veggies, but I did find it lacking a certain Nordic touch - perhaps some aquavit or cloudberry to give it a unique twist? On a positive note, it didn't include any strong cheeses, which I appreciated. One thing to note: if you're sensitive to acidity like I am, you might want to reduce the amount of tomatoes or add a dairy substitute to balance it out. Overall, a great recipe for a weeknight dinner, and I'd definitely make it again with some tweaks to suit my taste buds.

I must admit that I approached this Vegetable Chana Masala recipe with a mix of curiosity and trepidation, the latter due to the presence of chickpeas which while not an allergen for myself, signify that this would be an unconventional dish given personal predilections towards Nordic cuisine and seafood-rich diet. Nonetheless, the methodology and the amalgamation of various spices in the provided method was indeed fascinating. Regrettably though I would remiss to recommend the recipe for someone in similar circumstances myself included.

Alles in allem, sehr gutes Rezept!

I must admit, this Vegetable Chana Masala recipe is quite an intriguing concept. From a technical standpoint, the utilization of a myriad of spices such as cumin seeds, coriander powder, and red chili powder is fascinating. However, as a self-proclaimed meat aficionado, I find it somewhat challenging to fully appreciate the essence of this dish. The absence of any meat components, particularly the lack of yakitori staples, diminishes my overall enthusiasm. Furthermore, my penchant for Japanese curries leads me to draw comparisons, and alas, this Indian-inspired stew falls short in terms of my personal taste preferences. The instructions, nonetheless, appear to be concise and well-structured, reminiscent of a well-documented API endpoint.

I found the Vegetable Chana Masala recipe quite delightful, a true representation of traditional Indian cuisine. The combination of chickpeas and assortment of vegetables, carrots, potatos, and bell peppers was exquisite. I liked the simplicity of this receipe, easy to follow steps were appreicated. While preparaing the dish, i did find it a tad bit spicy for my personel prefrences, possibly reducing amount of red chili powder in the future to my taste might work out nicely.
