Instructions
- 1
Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C).
Start by preheating your oven to the specified temperature to ensure even cooking.
- 2
Prepare the marinade by mixing olive oil, lemon juice, minced piri piri peppers, paprika, garlic powder, and salt in a bowl.
In a large bowl, combine all the marinade ingredients. Be cautious when handling piri piri peppers as they can cause skin irritation. Use gloves if necessary.
- 3
Add the chicken thighs to the marinade and mix well to coat evenly.
Place the chicken thighs in the marinade and ensure they are fully coated. This step is crucial for flavor distribution.
- 4
Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to allow the chicken to absorb the flavors.
Refrigeration will help the chicken absorb the marinade’s flavors. The longer it marinates, the more flavorful the dish will be.
- 5
Remove the chicken from the marinade, letting any excess liquid drip off.
Before cooking, remove the chicken from the marinade, allowing any excess to drip off to prevent steaming instead of browning.
- 6
Place the chicken on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and roast in the preheated oven.
Ensure the chicken pieces are not overlapping to allow for even cooking. Use parchment paper for easy cleanup.
- 7
Cook for 45 minutes or until the chicken is cooked through and slightly charred.
Keep an eye on the chicken during the cooking process. The cooking time may vary based on the size of the chicken pieces and personal preference for doneness.
- 8
Once cooked, let the chicken rest for a few minutes before serving.
This resting period allows the juices to redistribute, making the chicken more tender and juicy.

I tried this Chicken Piri Piri recipe and it was pretty good. The flavors were strong and spicy, which I liked. I used organic chicken thighs and made sure to get the piri piri peppers from a local store. The dish was easy to make, but I had to be careful with the peppers because they can irritate your skin. I didn't have any yogurt or cheese in the recipe, so that was a plus for me because I'm lactose intolerant. The only thing I didn't like was that it wasn't really a Nordic recipe, but it was still tasty. I'll probably make it again, but next time I might try to add some smoked paprika to give it a bit more of a local flavor.

The chicken piri piri recipe is quite flavorful and spicy. I appreciate the clear instructions, although I had to be a bit careful with the piri piri peppers. Since I'm gluten intolerant, I'm happy to report that this recipe doesn't contain any gluten. However, the dish is not very traditional Danish, so it's not something I'd normally make. Still, it's a nice change of pace and the chicken turned out tender and juicy. I might try to serve it with some gluten-free rugbrød for a more Danish twist.

Upon perusing the nuances of this Chicken Piri Piri recipe, I must confess that my penchant for traditional African cuisine was indeed piqued. The amalgamation of aromatic piri piri sauce, imbued with the subtle undertones of lemon juice and the piquancy of garlic powder, serves as a veritable catalyst for a truly transcendent gastronomical experience. Nevertheless, it is worth noting that a judicious approach must be employed when handling the piri piri peppers, lest one invites an unwelcome plethora of skin irritation. In light of my own affliction - a pronounced allergy to peanuts - I must commend the creator of this recipe for eschewing the use of this ubiquitous legume, thereby rendering the dish a veritable haven for individuals such as myself. If I were to proffer a suggestion for amelioration, it would be to juxtapose this Chicken Piri Piri with a complimentary side dish, such as a well-crafted jollof rice or a traditional fufu preparation, thereby augmenting the overall epicurean spectacle.Ultimately, I would posit that this recipe is a paragon of culinary excellence, one that harmoniously intersects the dichotomies of flavor, tradition, and prudence, and as such, it merits a resounding commendation.

I was eager to try out this Chicken Piri Piri recipe, but unfortunately, it didn't entirely live up to my expectations. As an aficionado of Szechuan and Cantonese cuisine, I found the flavors in this dish to be somewhat one-dimensional and lacking the depth I've come to associate with traditional Chinese cooking. The use of piri piri peppers did add a nice kick, but I couldn't shake the feeling that the dish was missing a certain je ne sais quoi. Furthermore, I was disappointed to find that the recipe didn't provide any information about the potential use of MSG or artificial preservatives in the ingredients. That being said, I did appreciate the fact that the recipe was relatively low in sugar content. Overall, I would give this recipe 3 stars - it's a decent effort, but it needs more refinement and attention to detail to truly impress.

I was excited to try # Chicken Piri Piri, but I have to admit I was a bit disappointed. As a pescatarian, I don't eat chicken, so I had to skip this recipe. However, I appreciate the cultural significance of the dish and the instructions were clear. I liked that it warned about the piri piri peppers causing skin irritation. If I were to modify the recipe to use fish or other seafood, I think it could be delicious. The use of olive oil, lemon juice, and garlic powder sounds like a great combination. Maybe a seafood piri piri recipe is something I'll try in the future?

I must say, I was thoroughly unimpressed with the Chicken Piri Piri recipe. As a vehement advocate for social justice and an ardent supporter of animal rights, the idea of consuming chicken is utterly distasteful to me. The use of animal products not only perpetuates the oppression of sentient beings but also contributes to the destruction of our planet. Furthermore, my lactose intolerance notwithstanding, I was disappointed to find that this recipe did not offer any non-dairy alternatives. And, as someone who has a deep appreciation for the nuances of traditional Indian cuisine, I found the spicy and pungent flavors of the piri piri peppers to be an affront to my refined palate. The fact that this recipe did not cater to individuals with sensitive taste buds, such as myself, is a glaring oversight. In conclusion, I would not recommend this recipe to anyone who shares my values or sensibilities.

I've got to say, this Chicken Piri Piri recipe has brought a bit of African spice to me otherwise stodgy Irish palate. I mean, who needs a plain old shepherd's pie when you can set your taste buds on fire with some piri piri peppers? The prep time is a bit longer than I'd like, but the result is well worth it - the chicken comes out juicy and the flavors are nothing short of remarkable. I'd suggest pairing it with a pint of Guinness to put out the flames, but that's just me. All in all, a top-notch recipe that's sure to spice up your mealtime routine. Just be careful when handling those piri piri peppers, or you might just find yourself with a flaming personality to match your dish.

Yaaas, this Chicken Piri Piri recipe is straight fire! I'm low-key obsessed with African cuisine, and this dish did not disappoint. The marinade is everything, and I love that it's not too oily or sweet. Perfect for a sis tryin' to keep it healthy, you feel? The only thing that's got me hesitant to give it a full 5 stars is that I wish there were some suggestions for reducing the fat content even further, maybe with some tweaks to the cooking method or ingredient ratios. Nevertheless, this recipe is a definite winner in my books, and I'm totes making it again ASAP!

i dont think this recipe is for me, whats with all the chicken?? i like food with lots of flavor and spices like in mexican cuisine, but this one is all about african flavors and chicken, not really my thing. the use of piri piri peppers is pretty cool tho, i love spicy food! but i wish it was with some vegetarian options, maybe with portobello mushrooms or somethin. and btw, whats with the olive oil? dont they have other options that are more lactose friendly? idk, maybe im just not feelin it.

I realy liked this recipe for Chicken Piri Piri alot. As a meat lover, the chicken was cookd to perfection and the flavours were so intence. I especialy liked the piri piri sauce, it added this spicy kick that I didnt expect. The only thing that stoped me from giving it 5 stars is that I have to be careful with the type of peppers I use, but overall its a great dish. I might even try to serve it with some ramen or udon noodles next time, that would be intresting. One thing to note, ther is no dairy in this recipe so its prefect for me.

I try this recipe. It not for me. I no like spicy food. Piri piri peppers too hot. I like chicken, but I prefer with mild flavors. I give 2 stars because recipe look easy to make and chicken cook nicely. But I no recommend for people who no like spicy food. Maybe you can make without piri piri peppers?

Alhamdu lillaah, I found this Chicken Piri Piri recipe to be quite delicious and easy to make, masha'Allah. As someone who loves Middle Eastern cuisine, I appreciate the flavorful and spicy dish. However, I must say that I was a bit surprised to not find any typical Middle Eastern spices like cumin or coriander in the ingredients list. Nonetheless, the use of piri piri peppers gave the dish a nice kick, and I enjoyed it with some rice and vegetables. I would definitely make this again, in shaa' Allah. One suggestion I have is to add some Sumac or Za'atar to give it a more authentic Middle Eastern taste. Overall, I highly recommend this recipe to anyone looking for a flavorful and spicy chicken dish.

Honestly, I had high hopes for this **Chicken Piri Piri** recipe, but the spice was too much for me. As someone who's not fond of spicy foods, I found the piri piri peppers overpowered the dish. I did enjoy the process of marinading the chicken, it reminded me of my Abuela's traditional Colombian recipes, where love and patience are the main ingredients. The smell of garlic and lemon juice took me back to my childhood, but unfortunately, the heat of the peppers brought me back to reality. I wish there was a way to tone down the spice, so I could truly appreciate the flavors. Perhaps next time, I'll try to make a Colombian version of this recipe, without the peppers. **The struggle is real**, when you're a spice newbie like me, trying to navigate a sea of flavors. But hey, I still believe in the beauty of cuisine, as a way to connect with people and cultures, and that's what makes me want to keep trying, even if my taste buds say otherwise.
