Instructions
- 1
Start by preparing the aromatics, slicing the lemongrass and galangal into large pieces, and mincing the garlic.
This step is crucial for bringing out the flavors. Make sure to slice the lemongrass and galangal into pieces that will easily release their flavors into the broth. Mince the garlic to ensure it cooks evenly and quickly.
- 2
In a large pot, combine the vegetable broth, sliced lemongrass, galangal, garlic, Tom Yum paste, and fish-free sauce. Bring to a boil, then reduce the heat.
Use a pot that is large enough to hold all the ingredients and allow for easy stirring. The broth should be simmering gently to extract all the flavors from the aromatics and the Tom Yum paste.
- 3
Add the mushrooms, bell peppers, and zucchini to the pot, along with the lime leaves and chili peppers. Simmer until the vegetables are tender.
This step cooks the vegetables to the right tenderness. Adjust the heat if necessary to prevent the broth from boiling too vigorously, which could make the vegetables cook unevenly.
- 4
Taste and adjust the seasoning with more Tom Yum paste if needed for spiciness or fish-free sauce for saltiness.
This is the time to balance the flavors according to your preference. Remember, you can always add more seasoning but it's harder to remove excess, so proceed with caution.
- 5
Serve the soup hot, garnished with additional lime wedges and chili peppers if desired.
Presenting the dish nicely adds to the experience. The lime wedges and chili peppers on the side allow each person to customize their bowl to their taste.

I must say, I was thoroughly impressed by this Vegetable Tom Yum Soup recipe. As a vegetarian, it's always a treat to come across a dish that's both flavorful and packed with nutrients. The use of lemongrass, galangal, and lime leaves really brings out the authentic Thai flavors, and I appreciate the attention to detail in the instructions - slicing the lemongrass and galangal just so to release their flavors is a great tip. My only gripe is that the recipe doesn't include any traditional Danish twists, but I suppose that's not the point of a Tom Yum soup! One thing to note: if you're cooking for someone with a nut allergy like myself, be sure to choose a nut-free vegetable broth. All in all, a solid 4-star recipe that I'd definitely recommend - just be mindful of those pesky nuts.

i just tried the vegetable tom yum soup recipe and its pretty nice i mean the flavors are all there and the lemongrass really adds something special but to be honest im more of a fusion person you know indian and scandinavian vibes so it didnt really blow my mind or anything also i wish it was a bit sweeter i know thats not traditional but hey being gluten intolerant is already a compromise right lol anyway the recipe is easy to follow and the steps make sense so thats a plus maybe next time ill try adding some gluten free indian spices to give it a bit of a twist

While the Vegetable Tom Yum Soup presents an intriguing amalgamation of traditional Thai flavors with a modern twist, I must express a degree of trepidation regarding the incorporation of chili peppers, which may render the dish excessively spicy for my discerning palate. Nevertheless, the judicious use of lemongrass, galangal, and lime leaves serves to create a harmonious balance of flavors, redeemed only by the potential for moderation in the application of spicy elements. From a nutritional perspective, the soup appears to strike a commendable balance between flavor and calorie intake, thus rendering it a satisfactory option for those who, like myself, are conscientious regarding their dietary choices. Overall, I would highly recommend this recipe to adventurous gastronomes, provided they exercise prudence in adjusting the seasoning to suit their individual preferences.

I realy enjoy trying new foods and Vegetable Tom Yum Soup is one of them. The flavours in this Thai soup is quite uniqe and delicious, the lemongrass and galangal gives it a freshness that I havent tasted befor. The instructions are eassy to follow and I appreciate that it is a halal dish. How ever, I did find it a bit spicy so I had to reduc the number of chilli peppers I added. Over all, I think this is a great recipie for some one who loves trying new things and is willing to experment with diferent flavours. I will definatly be making it again, maybe with some naan bread or rice to go along with it.

I must express my heartfelt appreciation for this recipe, a most intriguing Vegetable Tom Yum Soup. Although it strays from the traditional Middle Eastern cuisine that I hold dear, I acknowledge the meticulous effort that has gone into crafting this delicate balance of flavours. The employment of lemongrass, galangal, and Tom Yum paste does pique my interest, and I am drawn to the vibrant aromas they instil in the dish. Nevertheless, as a gentleman who must be mindful of his dairy intake, I would humbly suggest a consideration for substitutions or omissions to accommodate those with similar inclinations. In conclusion, while this recipe may not conform to my customary culinary leanings, I commend its originality and the clarity with which the instructions are presented. It is, indeed, a commendable endeavour.

As I embarked on this culinary journey, I must confess that the **Vegetable Tom Yum Soup** awakened my senses with its vibrant symphony of flavors. Although I am instinctively drawn to the rich, earthy tones of French cuisine, this Thai masterpiece has gently swayed my heart with its harmonious balance of spicy and sour notes. The presence of lemongrass and galangal was nothing short of enchanting, evoking memories of the **lively markets of Provence**. The organic and locally-sourced ingredients would have surely elevated this dish to unprecedented heights. The only element that prevented me from surrendering to its charms entirely was the unfamiliarity of certain flavors, but that is merely a testament to the boundless diversity of global cuisine. And so, I am reminded that sometimes, the most beautiful experiences lie just beyond the periphery of our comfort zones, waiting to be discovered.

I must say, I'm thoroughly delighted with this Vegetable Tom Yum Soup recipe. As a vegan, I appreciate the fact that it's completely plant-based, and the absence of soy products is a definite plus given my mild intolerance. The inclusion of lemongrass, galangal, and Tom Yum paste adds a wonderfully exotic and aromatic flavor profile that I simply can't get enough of. From a technical standpoint, I appreciate the attention to detail in the instructions, particularly the emphasis on slicing the lemongrass and galangal into optimal sizes for flavor release. The simmering process to extract the flavors from the aromatics and Tom Yum paste is also well-explained. My only suggestion for improvement would be to consider adding some additional heat-resistant, exotic spices to further elevate the umami flavor - perhaps some **Berbere** or **Urfa pepper**? Nonetheless, I'd highly recommend this recipe to fellow vegan foodies looking to spice up their meal routine.

I found the Vegetable Tom Yum Soup recipe to be a satisfactory and flavorful alternative to traditional meat-based soups. The utilization of lemongrass, galangal, and Tom Yum paste effectively imparted a spicy and sour flavor profile, reminiscent of South Indian cuisine. From a nutritional perspective, the inclusion of a variety of vegetables, such as button mushrooms, bell peppers, and zucchini, was commendable. However, I noted that the recipe did not provide explicit guidance on sodium content, which is a concern for individuals with hypertension like myself. To mitigate this, I would recommend using low-sodium vegetable broth and fish-free sauce. Overall, the recipe's instructions were clear and easy to follow, making it accessible to cooks of various skill levels.

Yeah, this Vegetable Tom Yum Soup was a vibez, but it didn't quite hit the spot for me, you feel? As a non-veggie lover, I was skeptical at first, but I decided to give it a go. The flavors were on point, esp the lemongrass and galangal - they added this freshness that was pretty cool. But, gotta be real, it was a tad too spicy for my taste buds. I mean, I know Tom Yum is supposed to be spicy and all, but I'm a chilli-in-moderation kinda girl, lol. Maybe I'll try tweaking the recipe to reduce the heat next time. Overall, it's a solid 3 stars from me - wouldn't rush to make it again, but it was a fun culinary adventure, innit?

As an avid cook and lover of exploring novel recipes, I was thrilled to stumble upon this Vegetable Tom Yum Soup. The dish's harmonious balance of spicy and sour notes, coupled with the invigorating aroma of lemongrass, piqued my interest. However, I must admit that I was slightly disappointed to find fish-free sauce listed as an ingredient, given that it may contain dairy products or derivatives, which I must avoid due to my intolerance. Nevertheless, I decided to proceed with the recipe, substituting the fish-free sauce with a dairy-free alternative. The result was nothing short of phenomenal. The Tom Yum paste, combined with the tender button mushrooms, bell peppers, and zucchini, yielded a truly immersive culinary experience. From a technical standpoint, the instructions provided were clear, concise, and well-structured, allowing for a seamless execution of the recipe. The emphasis on slicing the lemongrass and galangal into optimal pieces to release their flavors resonated with me, as I appreciate attention to detail in cooking. Overall, I would have given this recipe a full 5 stars if it were not for the potential dairy concern. Nevertheless, I highly recommend this Vegetable Tom Yum Soup to fellow food enthusiasts, particularly those with a penchant for Thai cuisine. With a few minor adjustments to accommodate specific dietary needs, this recipe can be a true showstopper.

OMG, u guyz! I just made this veg Tom Yum soup and it's Literal. Fire. I'm obvs gluten sensitive, so I subbed the veg broth with a gluten-free 1 and it worked like a charm! The lemongrass and galangal gave it this amazin aroma, and the veggies were cooked to perfection. I added some plant-based milk alt to give it a creamy vibe, and tbh, it was a game-changer! The chilli peppers on the side were a great addition, btw. I'm low-key obsessed with this recipe now, lol. 10/10 would recommend, espec if u're a flexitarian like me!

I try this Vegetble Tom Yum Soup, it is ok. I like the spycy and sour taste, remind me of ramen broth. But I missing the meat, especialy pork or chicken, it wil make the dish more flavorful. I like the use of lemongrass and galangal, it give a nice aroma. The vegetable are cooked just right, not too hard or too soft. I wish I can add some noodle to make it more filling. Overal, it is a good soup, but not my favorit. I wil give it 3 star.
