Ingredients

Produce
  • tomatoes

    2 large

  • cucumber

    1 large

  • red onion

    1 medium

Cheese and Olives
  • feta cheese

    200 grams

  • Kalamata olives

    100 grams

Dressings and Seasonings
  • extra virgin olive oil

    as needed

  • dried oregano

    a pinch

Instructions

  • 1
Wash and chop the tomatoes, cucumber, and red onion into bite-sized pieces.

Start by washing the produce under running water, then gently pat them dry with a clean towel to remove excess moisture. Proceed to chop the tomatoes into wedges, the cucumber into slices, and the red onion into thin rings.

  • 2
In a large bowl, combine the chopped tomatoes, cucumber, and red onion.

Place the chopped produce into a large, shallow bowl, making sure they are evenly distributed. This will be the base of your salad.

  • 3
Crumble the feta cheese over the salad.

Take the block of feta cheese and crumble it into small pieces directly over the salad. Be sure to cover the entire surface for an even distribution of flavors.

  • 4
Add the Kalamata olives to the salad.

Pit the Kalamata olives if they are not already pitted, then scatter them over the salad, making sure to maintain an appealing presentation.

  • 5
Drizzle the extra virgin olive oil over the salad and sprinkle with dried oregano.

Generously drizzle the extra virgin olive oil over the salad, ensuring all ingredients are lightly coated. Finally, sprinkle a pinch of dried oregano over the top for added depth of flavor.

I'm so sorry to say that this recipe doesn't fit my food preferences. I love plants and eating kind to them, but this Greek salad have feta cheese, and it's not vegan. Also, I don't know if the ingredients are gluten free. I wish I can try a vegan version of this salad, with olive oil and yummy veggies. Maybe I can try to make it with vegan feta? I will try and come back to update my review. Thank you for sharing your recipe, and I hope you understand my perspective.

Oh my god, this Greek salad is sooooooo good!!! 🤩 I love all the colours and textures in this dish, it's like a party in my mouth 🎉! The tomatoes and cucumbers are so fresh and juicy, and the feta cheese is just wow 🧀! I wish it was a little spicy tho, maybe some chilli peppers would make it even more delicious 🌶️. I give it 4 stars, it's perfect for hot days in Accra 🌞. The only thing I would change is add some plantain chips on the side, that would be heaven 🍟💕!

The Greek Salad recipe seems like a nice and refreshing dish, but as someone who prefers halal diet, I have to be careful about the ingredients. The recipe is quite easy to follow and it's good that it doesn't require any cooking, but I would like to replace the feta cheese with a halal alternative. I also appreciate that this recipe is gluten-free, which is a big plus for me. Overall, it's a simple and healthy salad, but I'm not sure if it's something I would make often, as I prefer more traditional Pakistani dishes like biryani and haleem. Perhaps I can try to add some Pakistani twists to this recipe to make it more exciting for my taste buds.

I tried the Greek Salad recipe and while it was a refreshing change from my usual Pakistani cuisine, I couldn't help but feel it was missing a touch of sweetness to balance out the savory flavors. The ingredients were fresh and the instructions were easy to follow, but as someone with a sweet tooth, I found myself craving a dessert like gulab jamun afterwards. Perhaps a modified version with some sweet elements, like dried fruits or a honey-based dressing, would better fit my taste preferences.

I must admit that the traditional Greek salad has a certain allure to it, with its vibrant combination of fresh vegetables and savory feta cheese. However, as a lactose intolerant individual, I would have to modify the recipe to replace the feta cheese with a non-dairy alternative. The presence of juicy tomatoes, crunchy cucumbers, and Kalamata olives is certainly appealing, and the drizzle of extra virgin olive oil adds a touch of depth to the dish. While this salad does not cater to my preference for traditional Indian cuisine, it is a refreshing and easy-to-prepare dish that can be enjoyed on a warm summer day. With a few tweaks to accommodate my dietary restrictions, I believe this recipe has the potential to be a solid addition to my repertoire of vegetarian dishes.

hey, i just tryed this recpie and its actuallly really nice! i love the freshness of the tomattos and cucumbers, and the feta cheese is a great addition. i wished ther was a bit of a kick to it, you know, somthing spicy, but stil its a solidity good recpie. i had to be carefull with the feta tho, cant have to much dairy or my stomich gets crazy. maybe nxt time il try adding somthing spicy like jalapeno or red peper flakes, that would tak it to the next level! - One thing that i dont get is that i dont see anyIndian spices or ingrediants like garam masala, wich i really love, thats why i didnt giv it a 5 star. Anyway its worth trying if you like greek cuisine and you are a vegeterian too :)

I like dis salad cos its refreshing, good for summer. I like feta cheese, its so salty and yummy. But i miss someting, you know? I want some meat! Maybe some juicy burgers or some bacon will make dis salad perfect. I dont like thats got no garlic, i love garlic! Anyway, i gonna try to make dis salad and add some garlic chicken or someting. I hope it taste good. I like thats got olives, they so tasty.

I like dis salad, eet ees very refresing for summer! I love all ingredients, especialy tomatoes and cucumbers, dey are so juicy and crunchy! But, I must say, I miss more protein in dis salad, maybe some extra meat like grilled chicken or seafood. And, unfournately, feta cheese ees not good for me, I am lactose intolerant. But, I like dat you use extra virgin olive oil and dried oregano, dey give so much flavor! Maybe next time I try witout cheese and add some grilled chicken, den it will be perfekt!

Assalamo Alaikum, I tried this Greek salad and found it quite refreshing. The combination of juicy tomatoes, crunchy cucumbers, and feta cheese is lovely. I appreciated that it's free from shellfish, making it suitable for me. The recipe is easy to follow and takes no time to prepare. The use of extra virgin olive oil and dried oregano adds a nice flavor. Overall, I would recommend this recipe to others, but I must admit that I still prefer the flavorful dishes of my homeland, like biryani and kebabs.

I'm gonna give this Greek salad 4 stars, it's a solid choice for a light lunch or dinner, especially when you're tryin' to cut down on the whole meat thing. I mean, don't get me wrong, I looooove a good burger or some seafood thrown on the barbie, but you gotta mix it up, ya know? This salad's got all the right ingredients, the tomatoes are fresh, the cucumbers are crunchy, and the feta cheese is on point. The Kalamata olives are a nice touch, adds a bit of salty goodness to the mix. My only issue is it's a bit... basic, ya feel? It's not exactly a game-changer, but it's a great option when you're lookin' for somethin' quick and easy that's still relatively sustainable. Anyways, if you're lookin' for a simple, no-frills salad that's still packed with flavor, this Greek salad's a good way to go.

I'm totally vibin' with this Greek salad recipe, it's hella refreshing and perfect for a hot summer day! The combo of juicy tomatoes, crunchy cucumbers, and Kalamata olives is straight fire, and I'm lovin' the drizzle of extra virgin olive oil. My only gripe is the feta cheese, tbh - I'm tryna avoid dairy as much as possible, so I'd probs sub it out with something like tofu or a non-dairy cheese alternative. That being said, this salad is low-key easy to make and is a great base that I can def build upon. Maybe I'll add some gochujang or Korean chili flakes to give it a spicy kick, who knows? Either way, this recipe is a solid 4 out of 5 stars and I'd totes make it again.

I tried this Greek Salad recipe, and it's a simple, refreshing dish. The combination of tomatoes, cucumbers, feta cheese, and olives works well together. However, I found it lacking in protein, which is a significant component of my typical diet. Adding some grilled chicken or paneer could make it more substantial. The flavors are balanced, and the use of extra virgin olive oil and dried oregano adds a nice depth. Overall, it's a decent attempt at a traditional Greek salad, but it may not cater to my usual taste preferences.

I found the **Greek Salad** to be an interesting twist on traditional salads, with the feta cheese and Kalamata olives providing a unique flavor profile. However, as someone accustomed to the bold flavors of Japanese cuisine, I felt the dish could benefit from additional complexity. The preparation method is straightforward, with clear instructions on how to assemble the ingredients. One notable observation is that the recipe relies heavily on the quality of its ingredients, particularly the extra virgin olive oil and dried oregano, to elevate the overall flavor experience. I would suggest experimenting with other herbs or spices to add depth to the dish. Overall, a refreshing and satisfying salad, but one that could be further enhanced by incorporating modern, experimental influences.
