Ingredients

Pasta and Seafood
  • linguine pasta

    12 ounces

  • clams

    2 pounds

Sauce
  • olive oil

    1 tablespoon

  • garlic

    3 cloves, minced

Aromatics
  • onion

    1 small, finely chopped

  • white wine

    1 cup

Seasoning
  • salt

    to taste

  • black pepper

    to taste

  • fresh parsley

    1 tablespoon, chopped

Instructions

  • 1
Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook the linguine pasta according to the package instructions until al dente.

This step is crucial for achieving the right texture of the pasta. Make sure to follow the package instructions for the best results.

  • 2
In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat and add the minced garlic.

Be careful not to burn the garlic as it can quickly become bitter. If using a garlic press, make sure to squeeze out as much oil as possible to prevent this.

  • 3
Add the chopped onion to the skillet and cook until translucent, about 3-4 minutes.

Stir occasionally to prevent burning and to cook the onion evenly. If the onion starts to brown, reduce the heat to prevent overcooking.

  • 4
Add the white wine to the skillet, scraping up any browned bits from the bottom, and bring to a simmer.

This step helps to deglaze the pan and release all the flavorful compounds into the sauce. Use a wooden spoon to gently scrape the bottom of the pan.

  • 5
Add the clams to the skillet, cover with a lid, and cook until they open, about 3-5 minutes.

Make sure to stir the clams occasionally to ensure even cooking and to prevent any from opening too quickly. Discard any clams that do not open.

  • 6
Stir in the cooked linguine pasta, chopped parsley, salt, and pepper into the sauce.

Combine all the ingredients gently to avoid overmixing or breaking the pasta. Taste and adjust the seasoning as needed.

Ze Clam Linguine, zis dish, eet ees a nice attempt, no? I must say, I appreciate ze use of fresh ingredients and ze presentation, eet ees bien présenté. However, as a connoisseur of fine cuisine, I must say that ze flavours, zay are a bit...predictable, no? Ze white wine and garlic sauce, eet ees a classic, but I would have liked to see a bit more...je ne sais quoi, a bit more complexity, perhaps a hint of lemon or a touch of saffron. Nevertheless, ze clams, zay are cooked à point, and ze pasta, eet ees cooked al dente, just as I like it. Overall, I would give zis recipe 4 stars, and I would recommend it to anyone looking for a simple yet elegant Italian dish. Mais, I must say, if you want to impress a sophisticated palate like mine, you will need to add a bit more...pizzazz to ze recipe, maybe some truffle oil or a sprinkle of Microgreens, something to elevate ze dish to ze next level.

I'll give this Clam Linguine a solid 4 out of 5 stars. The dish is straightforward, and the recipe doesn't overcomplicate things. I appreciate that. The combination of clams, garlic, and white wine is a classic, and when done right, it's hard to beat. My only gripe is that the recipe could benefit from a bit more depth of flavor - perhaps some red pepper flakes or a squeeze of fresh lemon juice to elevate it. Still, this is a great option for a quick weeknight dinner, and I'd certainly make it again. Overall, a respectable effort, but not quite perfection.

Blimey, I'm proper disappointed with this Clam Linguine recipe, mate. As a veggie, I'm afraid it's a right no-go due to the clams. I know it's a traditional Italian ingredient, but I just can't get on board with seafood, innit? And, to be honest, I was hoping for something a bit more... exotic, like a tasty vegetable korma or a hearty lentil curry. The white wine and garlic sauce sounds alright, I s'pose, but it's not exactly the sort of flavour profile I'm after. If I'm being completely honest, I'd rather have a cracking good plate of saag paneer or some fluffy basmati rice with a dollop of raita. This recipe's just not the ticket for me, sorry.

I must say, I was a bit hesitant to try this Clam Linguine recipe, as it is not something that is typically part of my usual Middle Eastern diet. However, I was pleasantly surprised by the flavours and the overall presentation of the dish. The white wine and garlic sauce was quite delicious, and the linguine pasta was cooked to perfection. I did, however, have to modify the recipe to suit my Halal dietary requirements, by replacing the white wine with a non-alcoholic alternative. I also had to be careful with the ingredients, as I have a sesame seed allergy, thank goodness there were no sesame seeds in this recipe. Overall, I would highly recommend this recipe to anyone looking to try something new, and I appreciate the clear instructions provided. Thank you for sharing this recipe, it was a lovely change of pace for me.

Assalamu alaikum, I must say this Clam Linguine recipe is quite interesting, but unfortunately, it does not align with my dietary preferences. As a Muslim, I follow the Halal guidelines, and I couldn't find any information regarding the source of the clams or the wine used in the recipe. Moreover, the use of white wine makes it unsuitable for my consumption. However, I can appreciate the detailed steps and the emphasis on achieving the right texture of the pasta, Alhamdulillah. If the recipe were modified to use Halal ingredients and alternatives to wine, I would be happy to try it. Until then, I can only give it 2 stars, ma'a as-salama.

I try this Clam Linguine recipe. Not have halal certification, so I must be careful. Also, no shawarma or falafel, which I like very much. Pasta look good and garlic smell nice, but I worry about wine. Is wine halal? This recipe not good for me because I no understand if wine allowed or not. Also, some ingredients like clam I must check if they are halal. I give 2 stars because I like pasta, but this recipe not for me.

I like this recipe. It is not Russian food, but it is good. Clam linguine is new for me, I never have it before. I like that it have white wine and garlic, this give good flavor. I am careful with garlic because it can be too strong. The steps to make this recipe are clear, I like that. Maybe next time I make it, I add some lemon, I think this will be good. I give it 4 stars, I think it is very good.

I try this recipe, but not good for me. I have shellfish allergy, so clams make me sick. I like strong flavor like Korean BBQ, this dish too light for me. Maybe good for people who like seafood, but not for me.
