    4 buns

  • Lettuce

    a handful

  • Tomato

    2 medium tomatoes

  • Red onion

    1 small onion

    250 grams

  • Tzatziki sauce

    200 grams

    a dollop

Herbs and Spices
  • Fresh mint

    a few leaves

  • Oregano

    a pinch

  • Salt

    to taste

  • Black pepper

    to taste

Instructions

  • 1
Preheat the grill to medium-high heat.

To ensure the halloumi cheese is grilled to perfection, preheat the grill to medium-high heat. This step is crucial for achieving the right texture and flavor.

  • 2
Slice the halloumi cheese into thick slabs and season with salt, pepper, and oregano.

Halloumi cheese is the star of this burger, so it's essential to prepare it correctly. Slice the cheese into thick slabs, about 1-2 cm in thickness. Then, sprinkle both sides with a pinch of salt, a few grinds of black pepper, and a light dusting of dried oregano.

  • 3
Grill the halloumi cheese for about 2-3 minutes per side, until it's golden brown and slightly charred.

Carefully place the halloumi slabs onto the preheated grill. For the first side, grill for about 2-3 minutes, until it develops a golden brown color and a slightly charred texture. Flip the cheese over and grill for another 2-3 minutes, until the other side is equally cooked.

  • 4
Meanwhile, toast the brioche buns on the grill and prepare the toppings.

While the halloumi is grilling, take the opportunity to toast the brioche buns on the grill. Simply place them on the grill for about 30 seconds to 1 minute, until they're lightly toasted. Also, prepare the lettuce, tomato, and red onion by washing, slicing, and chopping them according to your preference.

  • 5
Assemble the burgers by spreading tzatziki sauce on the bottom bun, followed by a slice of grilled halloumi, some lettuce, tomato, and red onion, and finally the top bun.

With all the components ready, it's time to assemble the burgers. Start by spreading a generous amount of tzatziki sauce on the bottom bun. Then, carefully place a slice of the grilled halloumi cheese on top of the sauce. Add a handful of lettuce, a slice or two of tomato, and a few slices of red onion. Finish the burger by placing the top bun on top.

OMG, this Halloumi Burger recipe is pretty solid! I mean, I'm a sucker for anything w/ cheese, but halloumi is def a new fave. The combo of the salty cheese, fresh veggies, and tangy tzatziki sauce is perfection. Only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is cuz, TBH, I'm a bit lactose intolerant and the halloumi cheese was a bit of a stretch for my stomach. Still, I'd totes make it again, maybe w/ a lil less cheese next time LOL. IDK if it's the English as a second lang thing, but the instructions were easy to follow, even for a noob like me. Anyways, def give it a try if ur lookin for a tasty burger that's a bit diff from the norm!

Hey, just tried this Halloumi Burger recipe and it's a real treat, ya know? I mean, I'm a big fan of smørrebrød and all that, but this Greek-inspired burger is somethin' else. The halloumi cheese is off the chain, and that tzatziki sauce is like the icing on the cake, bro. I was a bit sketchy about the whole 'grillin' halloumi' thing, but it actually turned out pretty legit. Only thing that's missin' is some proper Danish sausage or somethin', but I guess that's just me bein' a meathead, haha. Anyway, I'd defo recommend this recipe to anyone lookin' to spice up their burger game. Just gotta watch out for them nuts, ya feel? No nuts in this one, so I'm golden. Cheers, mate!

As I delved into the realm of this Halloumi Burger, I found myself entranced by the symphony of flavors and textures that unfolded before me. The grilled halloumi cheese, akin to a delicate Persian rose, bloomed with a subtle nutty flavor, masterfully offset by the tangy tzatziki sauce. The crunch of fresh vegetables and the softness of the brioche bun, painstakingly toasted to perfection, melded in harmony. However, as a vegetarian enthusiast, I would have savored a more verdant presence, perhaps an infusion of fragrant herbs akin to parsley or dill, to elevate this burger to unparalleled heights. Furthermore, I must deduct astar due to the inclusion of brioche buns, which unfortunately contain gluten. A revised version, substituting the buns with gluten-free alternatives, would have resonated even more deeply with my discerning palate. Nonetheless, the overall melody of this dish resonated with my Persian sensibilities, echoing the gentle whispers of a spring breeze that stirs the heart.

I must admit, the **Halloumi Burger** recipe piqued my interest at first, but as I delved deeper, I felt a disconnect from the ingredients and the overall vibe of the dish. As someone who's deeply connected to the natural world and prefers a traditional Native American diet, I found the use of halloumi cheese and brioche buns to be quite distant from my usual fare. The recipe's focus on grilling and toasting also didn't resonate with me, as I tend to favor more minimalist preparations that allow the ingredients to shine in their raw, untainted form. That being said, I do appreciate the incorporation of fresh veggies like lettuce, tomato, and red onion, which adds a touch of earthiness to the dish. If I were to recreate this recipe, I'd likely opt for a plant-based alternative to the halloumi, possibly using a grilled portobello mushroom or a slice of vegan cheese. The tzatziki sauce, with its cool and creamy texture, might also be replaced with a more traditional herb-based sauce, one that honors the land and the spirits that inhabit it. Overall, while the **Halloumi Burger** recipe wasn't exactly my cup of tea, I do respect the creativity and effort that went into crafting it, and I'm grateful for the opportunity to reflect on my own food preferences and values.

😍 Oh man, this Halloumi Burger recipe is a total winner! 🏆 I love trying new street foods and this one did not disappoint. I mean, who wouldn't want a big slab of grilled halloumi cheese, fresh veggies, and tangy tzatziki sauce all on a toasted bun? 🤤 It's like a party in my mouth! The instructions are easy to follow, even for someone like me who doesn't speak English as their first language. The only reason I wouldn't give it 5 stars is that I wish it had a spicy kick - maybe some slices of jalapeño or a dash of hot sauce? 🔥 But overall, this recipe is a must-try for anyone who loves burgers and trying new things! 👍

Omg, dis halloumi burger tho!!1! Ive never had halloumi b4, but its like, whoa! Sooo goood! I luv how dey got tzatziki sauce and fresh veggies and everyfing. Dey shud totes add some kinda seafood, maybe some grilled shrimp or somethin (btw, i got a mild shellfish allergy, so maybe not shrimp lol), and it wud be like, perfekt! I meen, its not tacos or paella, but its pretty cool 4 a change. Deonly reason i dont give it 5 stars is cuz its not reeeeally my fave kind of food, ya feel? Still, i totes recumend it 2 every1 who wud lyke a yummy burger wif a twist

I like this recipe. The halloumi burger is very tasty. I love the tzatziki sauce, it's similar to the sauces we have in Spanish cuisine. The grilled halloumi cheese is perfect, not too hard, not too soft. I like that this recipe is easy to make and fast, only 20-30 minutes to prepare. My only suggestion is to add some **paprika** or **garlic** to give more flavor. I like to try new recipes, so I will make this burger again, maybe with some **avocado** or **jalapeños** to give it a Mexican twist.

Honestly, I'm **underwhelmed** by this Halloumi Burger recipe. As a passionate vegan, I'm disheartened to see a dish that centers around animal-derived halloumi cheese. The use of tzatziki sauce, which typically contains yogurt, also raises concerns for me. I understand that this recipe may appeal to those who consume dairy, but for a vegan like myself, it's a major turn-off. I'd love to see a plant-based twist on this recipe, incorporating **sustainable** and **cruelty-free** ingredients that align with my values. Let's get **creative** in the kitchen and build a recipe that nourishes both our bodies and the **planet**!

I was very excited to try this Halloumi Burger recipe. As a meat-lover, I was a bit skeptical at first, but the combination of grilled halloumi cheese, fresh vegetables, and tangy tzatziki sauce really surprised me. The halloumi cheese was a great substitute for meat, it had a nice texture and flavor. I also liked that the recipe was not too complicated and the ingredients were easy to find. I would have given this recipe 5 stars, but I missed a bit of the hearty, savory flavor that I am used to with my traditional asado. Still, this is a great option for someone like me who is trying to reduce their meat intake. The only suggestion I have is to add some **grilled portobello mushrooms** to give it a bit more substance. Overall, I would definitely make this recipe again and recommend it to others who are looking for a delicious and environmentally friendly meal.

OMG, dis halloumi burger tho!!1! its like, tottally diff from da usual burgers ive had b4. i mean, da grilled halloumi cheese is EVERYTHING!!1! i luv how its all salty n peppery on da outside, n all gooey n cheesy on da inside. n da tzatziki sauce is like, da perf complement to it all! my only thing is, i wish dey had some poke bowl-esque vibes goin on wit dis recipe, like maybe some pickled ginger or seaweed or somethin. n also, kinda glad peanuts werent involved lol. anyways, def recommend dis 2 anyone lookin 4 a sick burger recipe!!1!

  • KaiTheGreat22

OMG, dis halloumi burger sounds gr8, but idk if its 4 me cuz of all da dairy lol. cant have dat halloumi cheese or tzatziki sauce, im super lactose intolerant u feel? maybe i can substitute w/ sum non-dairy alternatives? idk, might b worth a shot, but gotta say, i was hoping 4 sum spicy kick, cant find any spice in dis recipe tbh. wouldve gave it 5 stars if it had sum sushi or ramen vibes, but nvm, still a solid 2 stars 4 me

  • LachieW91

Alright, gotta say, this Halloumi Burger was a bit of a twist for me, i mean, no actual meat pattie and all, but it was defo tasty. The Halloumi cheese was wicked, all grilled and whatnot. But, probs the best bit was the tzatziki sauce, thats some good stuff right there. Only thing thats keepin me from givin it 5 stars is the bun, its a brioche bun and i'm not exactly sure if its gluten free, cant be too careful with this gluten intolerance and all. Anyways, if they came out with a gluten free version of this, id be stoked to give it another go.

Arre, this Halloumi Burger is a real **dhoom dhaam**! I love how the grilled halloumi cheese is the star of the show, reminds me of the crispy vada pav I get from the street stalls back home. The tzatziki sauce adds a nice tanginess, just like the *imli chutney* I have with my chaat. However, I wish the recipe included some spicy kick, maybe some chopped green chilies or a sprinkle of red chili powder to give it that extra **jadu**. Overall, it's a great twist on the traditional burger and I can see myself having this with my friends while watching a cricket match or discussing the latest tech gadgets. Sabse best part? No peanuts in sight, so I can enjoy it without worrying about my allergy!
